Try restarting Firefox, the one time page(s) after starting a new release should disappear. Actually this last time with 8.0 they did not come up for me.
If that doesn't work then bring up '''about:config''' and place the url of the page into the filter. Right-click on anything that comes up and use "Reset".

Cannot upgrade aperture from 3.0 to 3.1.3

I cannot upgrade aperture from 3.0 to 3.1.3. The 3.0 was initially purchased as a download from the old Apple Store. Now it does not seem to recognise this version when I want to upgrade: "this upgrade requires Aperture 3"... which is ecactly what I have (and purchased!).

The Aperture file you are upgrading must be in the root Applications folder AND the file must be named (exactly) "Aperture" (no quotes). If you've renamed your Aperture file to "Aperture 3" or something like that, the update will fail. Mark

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

I cannot upgrade the latest version of firefox on my macbook using 10.5.8 mac os x. It downloads but does not transfer to the apps program.

Your external harddisk is probably in NTFS format.
There are two methods to solve this:
1. reformat the external harddisk in FAT32 (readable by Mac and Windows), or HFS Mac OS extended (journalled)" if you can access it from the Mac Disk Utility (then not readable from Wondows) on a mac. Make a backup first (on a windows computer).

2. use a NTFS driver on the Mac: Paragon NTFS driver (buy) or NTFS-3G-2010.10.2-macosx (free)
which make it possible to see and access the drive; The free driver also ask to install macfuse (free, and harmless):

Cannot upgrade CRS from 10.2.0.1.0 10.2.0.3.0

We have been using CRS 10.2.0.1.0 for 3 months now using it on our app tier.
Now the time has come to patch the CRS HOME directory but when we run the OUI we are receiving many errors mainly permission errors.
Could someone please advise what i am missing the CRS_HOME has recursive permission of 770 for root:oinstall & we have been using the software with no problems at all.
I have posted some of the errors which i have been encountering

You cannot start patching from the top. There is an order of patching RAC environments.
The Upgrade Guide will state the Order of patching if you have RAC. So you need to read it before you start.

I cannot access Firefox from my Mac desktop.

You need to use a newer Mac OS X version. A G4 can be upgraded to 10.5.8(if desired, buy a retail DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay), but you'll likely find it more cost-effective to buy a secondhand Intel Mac.

Cannot upgrade Firefox for OSX 10.8.3

I have letest iMac running OSX 10.8.3. I get notifications to upgrade my Firefox to the latest version but when I try to do it I get a "Software Update Window" which says "Downloading Firefox" and "Connecting to the update server....", the bue line keeps running from left to right but nothing happens.
If I try to do a manual update I am told my current version is 19.0.2 and that "you are currently on the release update channel". If I click on "check for updates" it tells me that updates are available at www.firefox.com. If I go there I am on a Firefox for Android page and at a dead end as to what to do............
Please advise.

If there are problems with updating or with the permanently then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

Cannot upgrade 1200AP from VxWorks to IOS

I am having problems upgrading two 1200 APs from Cisco 1200 Series AP 12.03T VxWorks to IOS using the CAC Tool. Originally all eight of my units were at Cisco 1200 Series AP 12.02T and I successfully upgraded six of them to IOS, but these two have been giving me problems. I thought I would upgrade the VxWorks to 12.03T and try again, and the VxWorks upgrade went fine through the AP web interface. The CAC tool upload of the IOS upgrade image, however, fails everytime, and if I telnet to the APs when I am doing the upgrade I get a message saying the TFTP started, but in a few seconds it times out. The APs do have over 5.5 MB of free RAM, so that is not a problem.
Should I try to FTP the image to the AP, and if so, how ? I am not concerned about saving any settings on the AP as I can restore them from my AP management software.

In order to run the upgrade process, the AP must have at least 4 MB of DRAM available. Issue the :vxdiag_memshow VxWorks command, at the prompt of a console or of a Telnet session, in order to display the amount of free DRAM.
In order to increase free DRAM, you must terminate noncritical processes or temporarily disable other resources (like a second radio). Try some or all of these actions in order to increase free DRAM:

[q] Cannot upgrade AEBS from 7.0 to 7.1

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade my base station from 7.0 to 7.1 and I get this error message. I've tried different ways to upgrade, e.g by pressing option key while choosing Check for updates, nut it doesn't work.
Any suggestions? (The Airport is otherwise working perfect.)
The error message I get:
"An error occured while updating the base station firmware.
Please make sure your AirPort base station is plugged in and in range of your computer or connected via Ethernet and try again. (-1)"
