Administrator Login

This will seem like a pretty dumb question for most of you I'm sure.... but I created an account for my roommate to use my machine. Prior to that I had only my admin account. When I set his account up I changed the login option to list. Now when I go to login his name is the only thing that shows up in the list. How do I login as the adminstrator now? Thanks for you rhelp!

I can't get to the accounts tab because it is dimmed. When I set his account up I restricted him from changing mist system preferences. But now when I go to log in his new account is the only one I can click on and it asks for his password. I thought there was a key combination I had to hit for the admin login screen to come up.... but obviously I was eiother wrong or have no idea how to get to it. There are definitely 2 accounts on the machine. My admin account with full access and his restricted account. But I have no clue how to log in to my account now that his is the only one that comes up after re-start or logging out of his account.

  • How to access the User Reports using 'Administrator' login in OBIEE 10g

Is there any way to access the reports saved in Users/'My folders' using the Administrator Login?

    Hi User,
    Create a new shared folder.
Provide access to all the users.
Now, ask the user who created the report in 'My Folders' to save the report in this new shared folder.
And, Delete those reports in 'My Folders'.
Now, as the report is saved in New shared folder you can access - this one.
Else--- Ask the user who created the report in my folder to make sure that it is available to all users. (Permissions - Permission should need to be provided for Administrator group)
    Thank you.

  • What is the best practice to protect coldfusion administrator login page

    Hi all,
Can someone suggest what is the best practice to protect the administrator login? At the moment, there is only the normal administrator page password to protect. It seems like not very secure especially when the application is on the internet.
    Regards,
    Bubblegum.

You can protect the page with file system level privs.  Setup a new virtual server that maps to a seperate copy of /cfide (and remove /admin and /adminapi from the other cfide folder your internet sites use).  Limit what IP addresses can hit /cfide.
We run multiple instances, so we connect directly to each instance to manage it.  And those ports aren't accessable on the internet.  To top it off, we have an ISAPI ReWrite rule that sends a 404 if you try /cfide/administrator or adminapi.
If you're using CF8, you can set it up so it requires a specific username instead of a generic name.

  • Administrator Login & Issue with Weblogic Admin Server Console

I recently applied a PeopleTools patch to a test environment. I will be doing this to production soon, and as I was going through my screenshots of what I did in test, I ran across an area that may cause me an issue when I apply it to production.
There is a screen which prompts you for the administrator login and password for the weblogic domain. I wasn't sure of this when I did it in test, but in the PeopleTools install doc, it said the default is system/Passw0rd
This worked fine in test. However, the person who set this up in production may have used a different password. I don't want to get halfway through the patch and have to abort because I don't know the password.
I did some research and read there was a file with this info. I think it was boot.properties, but it was encrypted.
I then started the Weblogic Admin Server Console in test and was able to login with system/Passsw0rd so that verified a way of confirming the password in test.
I tried to do the same in production, but the Weblogic Admin Server Console page does not come up. The webserver is running, and if it wasn't, my phone would be ringing. Why does the console not come up?
However, the screen that comes up during the patch that prompts you for this asks you to enter your password, and re-enter it on the next line, so maybe its setting the password, not verifying that you know it. Is this true, I could make it whatever I want?
The WebLogicAdmin_weblogic.log file has not been updated in months. This may have been when we did the last upgrade.
Can you tell me how to determine/verify this password?
    Thanks,
    Roger

I'm not sure if there's an easy way to verify this. If I'm not mistaken you'll have batch file called startweblogicadmin.bat in the bin directory. You have to start this to get the administrator console running. It will be running on port :9999 by default if you haven't changed this.

  • Lost administrator login and password.

We can't download new software etc. because we lost our administrator login and password. How do we reset it? Will we lose all of our files?

Insert the install disk that came with your MacBook. Reboot holding the C Key down. Once it boots from the install disk continue until you get to a window the has the menu bar across the top. Look under Utilities and find the *Reset Password* item. Change it and you should be able to log in again once you reboot your system.

  • APS Administrator login attempts

Hello, does APS check the number of failed Administrator login attempts to the admin web site? Does it block the Admin accesses when the limit is reached? how long?
    Thanks, Claudio

    Hi Claudio,
APS will lock out an Administrator after a specified number of failed login attempts. Both the number of failed login attempts before the Administrator is locked out and the amount of time (in minutes) the administrator is locked out for can be configured via the Web Console (Configuration->Server Configuration).
    Hope this helps,

  • Changing Administrator Login on Provisioned SQL Azure Server

We would like to change the Administrator Login on a server that was already provisioned.  I do not see a way to do this.  I see how to add additional Administrators but not change the primary one.  Any ideas?

At this point in time, there is no such link in the top right of the new portal.
    Thanks.
Click on the server name from the screen you have shown above, then click on the Dashboard section.  From there you should see a link on the right for "Reset Administrator Password"

  • Administrator Login Problem

    Hello,
Two weeks ago I installed a new Xserve running Mac OS X Leopard server 10.5.2. This machine runs FileMaker Pro Server v9 and MYOB File Connect. No file sharing users or any other services.
The problem: the Administrator login from on the Xserve no longer allows login. I have checked and rechecked that the correct password is being used. No luck logging into the Xserve. FileMaker Pro Server, and MYOB File Connect are running file and users are able to access these services without problems.
My question is what happened? Why can't I login to the Xserve and how do I resolve this without screwing things up and requiring and rebuild of the server?
Apple is certainly challenging my faith with Leopard Server.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
    Bryan

I had a similar problem shortly after the initial 10.5.1 install on a brand new Xserve quad core. Hadn't set up any services yet, just ran software update (including 10.5.2 update), after the restart I couldn't log in. Baffled the heck out of me. Yes, it was the correct password. Had to do a brand new install all over again.

  • Administrator login in vs Apple ID

I want to download and it's asking for administrator login and password... It won't accept Apple ID/Password

It should not be asking for a password on download.  What is the web address?   It may ask you what you want to do, select save.
Once downloaded, the mac may ask for a password to install software.

  • If I am the sole user of my laptop why do I need an administrator login and pw to download OSXMaverick or Adobe Flash Player?

I was not going to download Maverick because  I had heard many less than favorable reviews. However, I started running into issues yesterday and now am stuck. I went to upload some images to a FB album and received a message telling me that I would need to download Adobe Flash Player or otherwise i could only upload one image at a time. Then I went to view a friend's video and received the same message. I chatted with a few fellow mac users who suggested I download OSXMaverick. I started to and received a message telling me I needed an administrator login and pw. I used my Mac Id...no go. I am the sole user of this device and always have been. I have no recollection of running into any such issue when downloading OSXMountain Lion. Why gives?

You are not the filesystem owner outside of your login directory. By assigning administrator privileges, you are now authorized to install software (with a challenge for your login password, not your Apple ID) where you otherwise would not be permitted.

  • Cold fusion 8 and Windows Server 2003 Administrator Login

I cannot seem to login to my coldfusion (trial version)
administrator login after installed successfully on my Windows
Server 2003 with Web Edition Service Pack 2.
It tries to go here which is correct
    http://127.0.0.1/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm
    But I get
    Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)
I attempted to go through IIS through default Web Sites and
    browsed over to
    http://192.168.10.19/CFIDE/administrator/index.cfm
and I now get a "The page cannot be found" display message.
Is there anything special I need to do, perhaps in Web
Service Extentions in IIS or something since I don't see
"Coldfusion" mentioned anywhere, and I can't seem to find any clear
    instructions on the Adobe site.
    Please help, thanks.

    You should
    configure
IIS for Coldfusion. Pay particular attention to the section "To
    verify your IIS configuration".

  • CF6.1: Administrator Login Failure - too many redirects

We a running CF 6.1 with a Commonspot content management system with IIS 6.0 as the web server.  The CF Administrator login screen comes up and I am able to enter the password.  Depending upon the browser various error messages (see below) appear that seem to indicate redirect issues between index.cfm and enter.cfm.
There are two IIS web sites (commonspot and Administration) which both have CFIDE in them.  Renaming the "administrator" folder under either web site causes the CF admin page to be not found. I'm looking for any troubleshooting help.  I think there is an issue between index.cfm and enter.cfm in the login process.  The server is virtual so we can snap back the the original state if the new config fails.

  • Windows 7 Home Premium Administrator login problem

I have two user accounts on my PC (running Windows 7 Home Premium). My profile is set as "the administrators profile" and I work and save everything on this profile.
It's been working great till 2 weeks ago. I switch on the PC, it was giving the options to log into either one of the profiles, and I chose my profile as always. It then gave me an error saying: "The user profile Service Failed the logon. User profile
cannot be loaded" It doing that eversince and I just can't log into that profile.
I'm able to log into the other user account, but not being the administrator I can't access all my files or do any downloads. If I'm working in the other account and do download for instance, it will ask me for the administrators password. When entering
it, its not reacting or recognizing the password at all.
Please could you let me know how to recover the administrators profile?

    Hi,
If there is another administrator account that you can log into, Please try the following methods directly:
Method 1: Fix the user account profile
Method 2: Log on to Windows and copy your data to a new account
Method 3: Delete the error SID and create a new profile
However, if you can't get to any administrator account, follow these steps:
    1. Restart your computer and hit F8 multiples times until you see a menu-like screen, if you see the Windows splash screen then repeat this step;
    2. Highlight and hit enter on Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Try logging in there.
    3. If you are able to login, once a command prompt pops up, type:
net user administrator password /active:yes (you can specify whatever password you want for the administrator account.)
    4. If you get a message saying "The command completed successfully", then restart your computer by typing: shutdown -r;
    5. Boot up again pressing F8, but this time choose just Safe Mode;
    6. You will be able to login as Administrator with the password you set in Step 3;
    7. Then try that methods above.
For more detailed information, please refer to this article below:
You receive a "The User Profile Service failed the logon” error message

  • ALBPM Process Administrator Login

    We are using ALBPM with WebLogic 9.2 and have setup a directory service with a SQL 2005 server. The tables are created and there is one row in the participant table. However, when we try to login to Process Administrator, we always get an error msg;
Login incorrect. Detail:Verify that the information provided is correct. If you cannot solve the problem, check with your administrator. Technical detail:URL: [mssqlserver2005://AskMartyDev:1433/database=BPM] Participant: [bpmdbuser] Reason: [invalid user or password].
Where mssqlserver2005://AskMartyDev:1433/database=BPM is the connection string to SQLServer and bpmdbuser is the login name we created when set up the directory service. What user name and password should we use to login? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Check the following:
    1) in the directory.properties file there is a jdbc-user and password, these are used to connect to SQLServer, check that they match the password in the DB
    2) when you created the Directory (in Admin Center) you were asked for an administrators password, if you did not enter it, then it is the same value as the jdbc user that you used to create the tables. This user/pass is also writen in the directory.properties, but in the presets participant property.
    Hope it helps.
