Administrator profile credentials are invalid

Now I'm using the 10g version and the pointed document, now
an error goes off on step 2 of 6 "Source System Information" (probably that
is
why i was having problems before).
The error says "Administrator profile credentials are invalid" when I input
tsbelcorp.tsnetglobal.com (the machine itself) and password xxxx.
What could be the culprit?
I will slowly recheck al pre-requisites and other steps
Thanks in advance
Kay

Hi,
I have the same problem as you. I use 10g migration tool, I want to migrate from exchange2k to ocs. I create an administrator profile, and when I start migration tool, and fill profile password (which is correct I`m sure of it), it gives me an error Administrator profile credentials are invalid.
Did you resolv your problem, or still you have it?
Could you help me if it is resolved?
Thanks, Timea.

  • RC0: RS Installation Problem - The credentials you provided for Reporting Services service are invalid. To continue ...

    Hi
When installing 2008 RC0 I get the following error message:
"The credentials you provided for Reporting Services service are invalid. To continue, provide a valid account and password for the Reporting Services service.
    Error code: 0x84B40000"
During the installation process it never prompted for the credentials to be used for the Reporting Services service (i.e. the Reporting Services service did not appear under the "Service Accounts" tab during the Server Configuration stage of the installation. The other services did appear). In the "Ready to Install" stage the Account under Reporting Services, Service Configuration is given as "udefined". Everything else installed without a problem.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

I had a same and similar issue.
I finish the installation by providing SQL Agnt and SQL Service by NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE and blank password. Once complete the installation I changed the Service Account by services.msc to SQL SA account.
Reason: Service account is not granted for Log on as Service.
Solution: Grant the SA to Log on as Service.

Bad Idea When you first install Microsoft SQL Server to run under a Microsoft Windows NT account, SQL Server sets for that Windows NT account various Windows user rights and permissions on certain files, folders, and registry keys. If you later change the startup
account for SQL Server (the MSSQLServer service) and the SQL Server Agent service by using SQL Server Enterprise Manager (SEM) or SQL Server Configuration Manager (SSCM), SEM automatically assigns all the required permissions and Windows user rights to the
new startup account for you so that you do not have to do anything else. We recommend that you use this is the approach to change the service account.

  • Administrator credentials are not accepted

When a normal user account is logged in and an application upgrade asks for the credentials of an administrator account the credentials provided are not accepted in spite of the fact that the credentials are correct.

Obviously forgot to mention that when i log the user out and log in with the credentials of the administrator account it logs in correctly. Logging out and log in with user account and than providing credentials for administrator account for update gives the error text: login name or password incorrect. Which i just proven to be correct.

  • ICC profile description is invalid

I loaded PSE 8 on my Dell M1530 running Vista.  Whenever I try to start PS8 I get "could not initialize Photoshop because the ICC profile description is invalid" and the program quits.  I've tried removing and reinstalling PSE8 and it still errors.  Any idea what I can do?

There are three steps in installing a color profile in Windows. First they have to be in your system32 (or syswow whatever\spool\drivers\color folder. Then as you have done you run the install. But then you have to register the profile for the device type (display\printer\etc.).
I think placing the color space profiles has already been covered in another reply.
You have already reset preferences so PSE has rebuilt its cache of scripts and resources.
Switch the default monitor profile in Win color management applet to another to another one just to see if that solves your problem. PSE doesn't offer a choice of display profile so I imagine it uses your set default.
Also there are two profile version types. Version 4 trips uup some applications especially for printing. Version 2 should be used for displays and works best for printers as well.
These Win utilties will show the version type:
    http://www.color.org/resource2.xalter get
ICC Profile Inspector - opens an ICC profiles and makes the contents readable
Profile Dump - an example utility built using SampleICC that reads profiles and checks them for conformance
In each you'll see the complete version number. In one of those two you have to switch thefile type to .icm or .icc. The other shows both.

  • Some shared paths in file /global/nfs/SUNW.nfs/dfstab.nfs-res are invalid

    Hello,
I try to configure a NFS service in a SC 3.1 cluster environment, but this is impossible as the resource is not existing on the secondary node.
I'm sure this is some kind of mis-configuration. I read the docs, but still don't know why.
+/opt/ppark/gateway/logs+ should be the NFS share, whereas a defined RG (ppark-rg) contains the NFS share.
Another requirement: the NFS resource should be a member of this RG (ppark-rg).
    My steps were as follows:
    1. define the RG.
    # scrgadm -a -g ppark-rg -h pixtest1,pixtest22. define the LogicalHostname -
    # scrgadm -a -L -l ppark-lh -g ppark-rg1. register the agent -
    # scrgadm -a -t SUNW.nfs2. add HAS+
    # scrgadm -a -t SUNW.HAStoragePlus3. add the HAS+ Resource
    # scrgadm -a -j ppark-stor-res -t SUNW.HAStoragePlus -g ppark-rg -x FilesystemMountpoints=/opt/ppark -x AffinityOn=true4. now, the RG can be brought online -
    # scswitch -Z -g ppark-rgHere is the NFS part:
    1. making a administrative directory on both nodes -
    # mkdir -p /global/nfs/SUNW.nfs2. define the share in /global/nfs/SUNW.nfs/dfstab.nfs-res on both nodes -
    # share -F nfs -o rw,anon=0 /opt/ppark/gateway/logs3. define the NFS resource
    # scrgadm -a -g ppark-rg -j nfs-res -t nfs -y Network_resources_used=ppark-lh
pixtest2 - Some shared paths in file /global/nfs/SUNW.nfs/dfstab.nfs-res are invalid.
VALIDATE on resource nfs-res, resource group ppark-rg, exited with non-zero exit status.
Validation of resource nfs-res in resource group ppark-rg on node pixtest2 failed.and of course the resource /opt/ppark/gateway/logs is invalid!
According to the syslog on the secondary node the share is not existing - but how should it? It can be only mounted on one node at a time.

    Many thanks for some input.
    -- Nick

You need to explicitly set the resource dependency to the SUNW.HAStoragePlus resource for the SUNW.nfs resource, like:
    scrgadm -a -g ppark-rg -j nfs-res -t nfs -y Network_resources_used=ppark-lh -y Resource_dependencies=ppark-stor-resGreets

    Hi,
If agent is installed on the VMM server, it will collect the information and send it to SCOM server. The event indicates the SCOM agent tried to access the registry key that was included in the User Profile but failed.
Please specify a local account or domain account as the SCOM action account for a test.

  • How can I open Firefox 3.6.15 in non-administrator profiles?

When I installed Firefox 3.6.15, the previous version (3.6.13) opened in non-administrator profiles on my computer. I uninstalled 3.6.13, but firefox.exe is now in a different location: c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Mozilla Firefox. Administrator rights are required to open the file in this location. How can I get Firefox to open now?

Firefox installs to C:\Program Files\Mozilla\Firefox by default.
Did you do a custom installation to that \All Users\AppData folder?

  • Locked down Administrator profiles

    Hi,
we're having a strange issue on our terminal servers.
We have some GPOs to lock down normal user profiles which only apply to our TS users and not to administrators.
When we create a new user profile for an Administrator he gets a locked down profile e.g. no right click in start menu, no icons in control panel...
    Existing administrator profiles work fine.
When I check the registry under "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer" there are many settings set to 1 (like NoChangeStartMenu, NoManageMyComputerVerb). If I change them to 0 everything is working fine.
We have already disabled all GPOs and also removed the server from the Domain. It also happens when we create a new local user.
We have tried to copy the default user profile from another server but we still get a locked down profile.
Has anyone had the same issue?
    Regards

Ok there are some files in %windir%\system32\grouppolicy:
    %windir%\system32\grouppolicy\machine\Citrix\GroupPolicy\Policies.gpf
    %windir%\system32\grouppolicy\user\Citrix\GroupPolicy\Policies.gpf
    %windir%\system32\grouppolicy\gpt.ini
If I delete these files I can successfully create a new Admin profile!
Is it safe to delete all those files?

  • Administrator profile won't accept login password

I had logged in to my 'guest' profile when I received notification that an upgrade to my RoboForm software was available so I ok'd the download. A permission screen opened requesting an administrator password to make changes to this PC. I typed in the password and it was rejected. This had never happened before so to verify I changed users to my administrator profile and attempted to login to that account and my password was rejected there also with the message " You can't sign in to your PC right now. Go to account.live.com to fix the problem, or try the last password you used on this PC.
Can't go to account.live.com if I can't open the  profile.
Can't use the guest account to help with the problem because administrator permissions would be required.
Never  had problem with this password  before it's the same password I use to login to my guest account.
Do I  have an infection if so how do I remove it?

  • Logon failure event 680, 529 but credentials are correct

A bit strange on one Windows 2003 server.
Whenever I do a remote administration to the server such as connect from services.msc to this server remotely, doing a remote registry connection or doing an rpc call, it logs event 680 (0xC000006A) and 529 (Unknown User name or bad password), eventually
    the account locked out.
It is true no matter which accounts I used, so it is not just affecting a particular account.
The credentials are correct because I can log on using the same username and password through remote desktop.
    Any idea?

  • I keep getting an error message when trying to connect to sync on my Android saying the user name and password are invalid.

I am using Firefox 4.0 Beta 7 on both my Android as well as my laptop. I am trying to set up the sync feature and keep getting the error message on my Android saying that the username or password are invalid. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I have tried changing my password. I continue to get this error message.

Can you try again with Firefox 4.0b8 (desktop) and 4.0b3 (Android)? We have changed the way that Sync setup works, and it no longer requires entering the password and sync key by hand.
    For details, see: http://blog.mozilla.com/services/2010/12/22/easy-setup-for-firefox-sync/
