ADMT - Minimum required attributes?

I plan on using ADMT to migrate some accounts from a recently acquired company. I've linked their AD accounts to mailboxes on our Exchange 2010 server and have populated their mailbox AD accounts with all the census information.
I want to "merge" the accounts and keep all the data I've entered on our AD server for their linked mailbox. What are the minimum attributes that I need to include when migrating their AD accounts over to our AD server? I'm primarily interested
in keeping there same username, migrating their password, and their SID history.
Also, separate question - when migrating their account, do I need to unlink the mailbox prior to the migration and then re-attach it?

What are the minimum attributes that I need to include when migrating their AD accounts over
to our AD server?
There is no need to customize the list of attributes that are migrated by ADMT. Using the default list should be enough. With migrating the SID history, you would be able to provide access to the resource domain to new accounts for SID-based systems.
Also, separate question - when migrating their account, do I need to unlink the mailbox prior
to the migration and then re-attach it?
Please refer to that:

  • Adobe CS3 Windows 7 installation says does not meet minimum requirements

    I am trying to install Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium on a brand new Windows 7 machine (32-bit). It is a downloaded copy from Adobe's website.
    When I start the install process, it takes me to the "Options" Screen and will not let me install Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign. All those options are grayed out.
    At the bottom, the reason it gives is as follows:
    "The minimum system requirements listed below needed to run adobe photoshop cs3 are required and are not met:
    - Windows XP (Service Pack 2)
    - Windows Vista"
    It gives the same error for the other 2 programs as well.
    I have tried the following troubleshooting steps already with no luck:
    1. Run Setup.exe as Administrator
    2. Run Setup.exe in compatibility mode (either as Windows XP SP2, or Windows Vista)
    3. Logged-in to Administrator profile and tried installing from there
    4. did the regsvr32 on both vbscript.dll and jscript.dll.
    5. Tried the CS3 cleanup tool at multiple levels.
    6. Made sure there are no other Adobe products installed
    7. Called Adobe Tech support, they are no help. They said to re-install the OS, which doesn't make any sense since it's a clean install.
    No AV installed yet, so that's not the issue either.
    Any ideas?

    I realise I'm a bit late to the party here.. but after spending a few hours going through the Adobe CS3 Bootstrapper and Install process and files, I have the answer to why Windows 7 does not meet the minimum requirements.
    The answer is in the xml files contained in the payloads for the CS3 Installation.
    Line 72786 of AdobeIllustrator13en_US.proxy.xml :
    <SystemRequirementsJSON>[
         {"OS":{"Windows":{"XP":{"Exclude":true,"Require":{"MinServicePack":"2","@servicePack64Bit" :1
    ,"Need64Bit":"0"}},"Server2003":{"Exclude":true},"Vista":{"Require":true}}},
                                  "Memory":{"System":{"Default":{"Require":"512","Exclude":"500"}}},
                                  "Display":{"Default":{"Require":{"Width":"1024","Height":"768"},"Exclude":{"Width":"800"," Height":"600"}}}
    ]</SystemRequirementsJSON>
    Basically it is this: For Adobe Illustrator CS3 the following is supported: Windows XP SP2, or Vista ONLY
    Not Windows XP SP2 or above, or Windows XP SP2 and Vista or above ...
    The same is in several other files, but not all. Illustrator and InDesign are the 2 that I know of.
    I have 500 odd machines that I need to deploy this software to.
    If Adobe would like to offer a work around with consideration to deploying the software silently via Microsoft SMS to 500 Windows 7 Workstations - I would be most grateful.
    My rage at software installer developers with such little foresight is only tempered by the knowledge that the task itself is so difficult.
    However, that does not excuse the lack of thought given to how enterprise level administrators are supposed to deal with updates, patches, and deployments to machines where users have limited rights, and the difficulty that is caused by the inclusion of unhelpful and sparse documentation and software (such as Adobe Updater).

  • Required attribute does not work with any data type other than String

    sir,
    I am a new to JSF. My problem is that I have used an integer type data in my page which is taking its value from a bean.But in jsf code I have used the required attribute for the <h:inputText> but if I leave the text box empty it is not showing the validation error which it show show. Another problem is that the page is also not navigating to the next page.
    The code is
    <h:inputText value="#{UserBean.age}" required="true"/>
    where age is of integer type

    Well. The fact that it is not jumping to the next view is "works as required". The assumption is, that once you say a field is required, it could be that the application CANNOT function without that value. Therefor the initial view is redisplayed until all required values are entered.
    IF you need a different behaviour, then the OptionalValidator-package which is currently in development state, is the way to go. It allows to specify different validating strategies for different links on a view (no validation, soft validation (== allow to go on, but produce warning messages), hard validation (== the way JSF works right now)). The problem is that with JSF 1.1 it is quite difficult to implement this behaviour. For simple validators (no parameters) it is working, but for complex validators (requiring parameters) not yet. For more info: http://wiki.apache.org/myfaces/OptionalValidationFramework
    No comment on the String-only behaviour, as I have not yet tested/observed that problem...
    hth

  • What are the real minimum requirements for Mountain Lion?

    What are the real minimum requirements for Mountain Lion. Currently running Snow Leopard. I have a late 2006 Model: iMac6,1. Specs: 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo, 3 GB 667 MHz DDR2, and the optional nVidia GeForce 7600GT c/w 256MB GDDR2. The advertisement is stating a 2007 model as the minumum, however the fastest 2006 Gen Plastic iMac should be faster then the slowest 2007 Gen Aluminum iMac7,1?

    From a previous posting from some else, I saw it was the 32bit versus 64bit video card driver being the issue. I was wondering if the optional video card I have installed also was limited to the 32bit issue. 64bit drivers exist for the 7600 GT GPU.

    What are the minimum requirements to successfully Synchronize a SharePoint 2010 Calendar or Task List with Outlook 2010?
    SharePoint permission levels required for the user profile?
    Does the user need top level permissions on the SharePoint site?
    What other minimum requirements must be met for Outlook 2010 to synchronize successfully with SharePoint 2010?
    TheDrape

    Hi,
    To synchronize these libraries and lists, you must have Outlook 2010 installed on your client computer and you must have Collaborate permission to the library or list.
    You don’t need any permissions for the user profile.
    I provide you a link about synchronizing SharePoint 2010 content with Outlook 2010 for your reference:

  • What are the bare minimum required tags for DNG (digital negative) images.

    I'm trying to write a program that converts a standard BMP file into DNG. I know that isn't practical for many things, but I'm curious as to what the minimum required tags are for a DNG image. The DNG specs at http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/products/photoshop/pdfs/dng_spec.pdf show what tags are available, and mention whether or not a given tag is required, but this document doesn't have a list showing only the required tags. So I'm wondering, does someone here have a list of only the required tags for DNG images?

    Just discovered there's a dedicated DNG section to the forum at Digital Negative (DNG) which is where this question should probably be, but don't know if think I can move this message myself. Maybe a moderator can move this post.

An error message says that the OS does not meet the minimum system requirements for the installer. 10.6.0 is the minimum required for installation. How do I get my mac to be a 10.6.0 ? Right now I have a 10.5.8 is there a way to upgrade or something?

    Buy the Snow Leopard retail installer (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A?fnode=MTY1NDAzOA).
    That will take you to 10.6.3.
    If required you can then use the combo updater to get to the latest version, 10.6.8 (http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399)

  • Problem with "required" attribute in inputBox

    Hi ,
    I have a requirement where a input field needs to be populated using lookup.
    I am using commandButton to populate the input field.Since I dont want user to type anything in this input Field , I have made this field readOnly.
    This is a mandatory field so I have put required attribute true.But on the click of submit button this validation does not trigger.If I make remove readOnly attribute or make it false, the validation triggers.Here is the snippet for this part.
    <afh:rowLayout>
    <afh:cellFormat halign="right" >
    <af:commandButton id="lookupFrom_buttonId" text="From Mfg:"
    action="dialog:company.selectBox"
    immediate="true" windowWidth="390" windowHeight="550"
    launchListener="#{mfgReassignBean.addParameter}"
    returnListener="#{mfgReassignBean.returnFromMfr}"
    partialSubmit="true" useWindow="true"
    >
    </af:commandButton>
    </afh:cellFormat>
    <af:inputText
    partialTriggers="lookupFrom_buttonId"
    readOnly="true"
    required="true"
    binding="#{mfgReassignBean.fromDeveloperInput}"
    value="#{mfgReassignBean.assignmentRule.fromMfgName}"
    />
    </afh:rowLayout>
    has anybody faced such situation...any suggestions ?
    Thanks!!

    disabled and readonly fields are discarded from the JSF stack and thus not validated! Options are: make readonly field not readonly on form submit or copy readonly field to hidden field (both involve client side javascript)

  • Best way to announce that the hardware does not meet the minimum requirements

         Hi Everybody!!!
         I'm in the process of tiding my App up, and I stumbled into a requirement that needs to be addressed. I'm not quite familiar with the latest trends, so I was wondering if anybody could recommend a way to inform the user if the hardware
    to use does not meet the minumum requirements.
         In a nutshell:
     * I just created a game using Direct3D / DirectX 11,
     * I'm using "DrawIndexedInstanced", which means that the videocard to use should meet at least DirectX v10 (my shaders are using model 9_3 but I tested it in a computer with DirectX9 model 3 (or so the nvidia brochure said), and the game pretty
    much died in my arms).
     * According to the App Certification Requirements: "if you choose a minimum feature level higher than 9_1, your app must detect at launch whether or not the current hardware meets the minimum requirements. If not, the app must display a message to
    the customer detailing the Direct3D requirements."
     * I know how to detect the Direct3D level supported by the current videocard. What I would like to know is how to tell the user that the videocard does not support the minimum requirements.
         I don't have much knowledge about the current trends:
     * I assume that displaying a message box may not be the best option, as that would mean I need to link the MFC layer to do so (the game is in Visual C++ and that's what I would do if it were one of my day-job projects). I'm quite sure that
    is too much of a library just to show a message box... not to mention that most likelly the MFC is no longer supported in a Metro application...
     * I was thinking about displaying a nice graphic warning about the issue, but if the D3DDevice1 is not what I expect then I don't think I can be sure that at least it can display the graphic with the information.
     * I'm not quite sure if I should be linking to a .NET Library ("System.Windows.Forms" comes to mind), but then again maybe it's too much of a library for just a messagebox.
     * Then again, displaying that message in a command prompt may not be the best idea either.
         Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
         Best Regards,
         Tarh Ik

         Hi Chuck,
         I tried your idea, but the game always crashed when calling the DrawIndexedInstanced() function in a computer that only supported DirectX Level 9.1 (plenty of those computers at my day-job, sometimes I swear this office could be
    a museum). The crash started as a driver unload call, and after that everything goes down.
         I also tried using the WARP mode, but the performance was horrible, and after a minute of playing I started to have temperature issues with the CPU (I did not see that one coming)
         What I finished doing was to create two sets of shaders (pixel and vertex):
     * If the feature reported by D3D11CreateDevice was 9_3 or above, I'd use my very own and happy shaders, compiled in 9_3 model. Beautiful performance with DrawIndexedInstanced().
     * If on the other hand the feature reported by D3D11CreateDevice was either 9_2 or 9_1, I'd use a set of shaders compiled for level 9_1. That seemed to be enough to draw a couple of images on the screen and tell the user, using my own game elements,
    that the computer did not match the hardware requirements.
          It looks like this was a good approach. My game passed the certification test, and it is currently on the AppStore.
          Best Regards,

  • Using value binding expressions to set 'required' attribute

    I am trying to use a value binding expression to determine whether the value of various input control's is required or not according to where they are used and not having much luck. I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this...
    The following expression works: <h:inputText id="name" required="#{true}"/> whereas <c:set var="required" value="true" scope="request"/>
    <h:inputText id="name" required="#{required}"/> does not, even though the expression evaluates to true! I have tried numerous variations (requestScope.required, required == true, required ? true : false, etc.) to no avail. Interestingly, #{1 == 1} or binding to a backing bean method works, but as soon as you add a request variable it breaks.
    Am I doing something wrong, is this something that JSF doesn't allow, or just a bug in the RI? Note that I don't want to vary this flag between multiple submissions of the same form, I am just trying to reuse the same JSP include to generate form controls for required and optional data on different forms to avoid a whole lot of cutting any pasting.
    Any pointers gratefully received.
    -- Keith Wilson

    I had something like this happen, and here's what I concluded the problem was. Perhaps your problem is similar.
    In the first non-working example you show a request-scope variable being set in the JSP page, and then use that to set the "required" attribute. But consider what happens when you submit the form. There is no longer any request-scope variable set because we have a new request and we don't go through the JSP page! (Not before validation is checked, anyhow).
    So basically I concluded that the variable had to be in (say) session scope for it to work as you would like.

  • How to override the default "required" attribute for the UIComponent?

    Hi, consider the following markup: <h:inputText id="txt_firstName" value="#{myBean.firstName}" required="true"/>
    if I leave this field empty and hit the submit button, the required validator will fire an error msg. If however, I leave an empty space in the text box and hit submit button, it will go through no problem.
    I'd like to override the required attribute, so it will trim the spaces first before decide if it really is empty:
    //whatever the name of the method i'm overriding....
    String value = (String)value;
    if(value==null)throw new ValidatorException(whateverDefinedInTheBundle);
    value = value.trim();
    if(value.length==0)throw new ValidatorException(whateverDefinedInTheBundle);
    How can I go about doing that?
