Adobe 11 Add-in and Excel 2013

I can't get the Adobe 11 Add-in to show up in the Excel 2013 tool bar.

Please check if Acrobat Add-In is enabled in Excel 2013 by following the below mentioned steps:-
Click the File tab, click Options, and then click the Add-Ins category.
In the Manage box, click COM Add-ins, and then click Go. The COM Add-Ins dialog box appears.
In the Add-Ins available box, select the check box next to the Acrobat PDFMaker Office add-in and then click OK.
Tip If the add-in that you want to use is not listed in the Add-Ins available box, click Add, and then locate the add-in.

My version of Visio 2013 is 64bit, that because my PC and most of the software is 64bit. When I try to install the add-in for Visio it had error message of not being compatible. I try your "Compatible web browers and PDFMaker applicatios" and notice that Visio 2013 64bit in not listed.
When I try Adobe Acrobat support they told me they don't support Visio 2013 64bit. They didn't say if or when they were going to support Visio 2013 64bit. They suggested I use the Acrobat community forum on "Acrobat Feature Requests" and request the add-in for Visio 2013 64bit. I am not happy with this.
Do you know of any third party PDF that supports layers for Visio 2013 64bit?

Essbase Excel Add-in for Excel 2013

Hi There,
I recently upgrade from Excel 2010 to 2013, it seems Essbase Excel Add-in (1.1.2.2) has some issue with Excel 2013, does anybody experience this too, any advice on this?

The excel add-in is not certified to work with Excel 2013 and a matter of fact, the only version of Smart View certified with it is 11.1.2..5 which just came out. The Essbase Add-in has not been updated in a shile and has been susetted by Oracle so there will be no new versions of it

ProClarity Web Professional and Excel 2013

I've recently installed Excel 2013 Professional Plus and I've noticed a slight change in behaviour between ProClarity and Excel when Export to Excel is used.
When I export to Excel two Excel workbooks seems to open - 1 called Book1.xlsx is simply an empty workbook, the second one contains the data that has been exported from ProClarity. Unfortunately since I installed Excel 2013, then workbook which appears in
front is the blank workbook. When I had Excel 2010 installed, the workbook with exported data appeared as the front window.
We are about to embark on an Excel 2013 rollout and I know this will generate calls with our ProClarity users.
Any ideas why this is happening and how to resolve?

Another breakthrough with this case is that when you install Office Web Apps SP1 this will enable you to open the OneNote from Apple Tablets or Android Tablets.
One More thing is that Android Tablets does not support opening the sharepoint site by the server name only ie http://servername/ you need to add the domain at the end like this http://servername.domain.local/ and in order to open the onenote on tablet you
need when creating the wac farm to add the domain in the command
New-OfficeWebAppsFarm –InternalUrl http://webappservername.adjd.local –AllowHttp –EditingEnabled

I have a user who is getting the following error:
Excel experienced a serious problem with the 'c:\oracle\middleware\epmsystem11r1\products\exceladdin\bin\essexcin.xll" add-in. . . .Do you want to disable this add-in?
Do we need to reinstall the Essbase add-in ?
I have had the user disable other add-ins via 'File > Options > Add-ins > Excel add-ins and that didn't resolve the problem.
Are there any compatibility issues with 64 bit Excel?
Also, after installing Essbase add-in, what are the items that should appear

Essbase Add-in and Excel 2010

Hi All,
I have a user who has just had Windows 7 and excel 2010 installed and is able to connect to Essbase through the add-in but when he tries to retrieve data it completely crashes his excel which shuts down immediately.
As far as I have read the add-in does not support 2010 64-bit but I have win7 and excel 2010 and do not have the same problem and I am to retrieve data with no issues. We both have the 32-bit version of 2010 so I'm not sure why his excel is shutting down.
We are on 11.1.1.3 of Essbase
Any pointers or experiences you can give are appreciated

If you are running 32-bit Office, then you must install the 32-bit version of Power Query even if you are running 64-bit Windows.

Adobe Acrobat XI and Visio 2013 Freezing up when converting to PDF

I have been having issues with adobe acrobat XI and Visio Pro 2013 x64. The program freezes when converting a visio document to pdf. It doesnt happen with Visio Premium 2010 x64. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I have tried many steps - see below
-Reinstall adobe
-Updated adobe
-Reinstall visio 2013 x64
-Test conversion with different documents - works sometimes, fails most times
-Convert visio to x86
-No adobe x64 solution

Word and Excel 2013 error: Disk is full

I have several Windows Server Standard 2012 RDS with Office 2013 Standard 32-bit.
Servers are fully updated with Windows Update.
On all of them we get errors in Word and Excel.
Word:
Microsoft Word
The disk is full or too many files are open.
P1: 200890

Excel:
Microsoft Excel
The disk is full.

Method 5: Recreate the Microsoft Equation Object
If you are running the Bgmail utility, edit the Winstart.bat file or the Autoexec.bat file, and place a semicolon (;) at the beginning of the Bgmail.exe line to temporarily turn it off. Save and close the file, and then restart Windows and run ScanDisk.

SOI I_OI_SPREADSHEET and Excel 2013

We have made some programs using the type pool SOI and the library I_OI_SPREADSHEET to generate report in excel files.
Of course, we used office 2010 for the display and now we are testing the programs with Office 2013.
The data do not appear in a Excel 2013 spreadsheet.
Is there anyone who faced the same problem and found a solution ?
any information will be appreciated.

Hi everyone, Does anybody know if essbase Add-in version 6.5.5 will work togehter with Excel 2007? I really cannot find any detail on this. Thanks in advance 

Chances are, your VBA code isn't broken because of the API, but because the old xls/xla workbook had a reference to the old excel object model. Go to the VBA editor and choose the Tools/References menu item. Look for any "missing" entries and perhaps the new version of excel has an equivalent. If a reference is missing, it can cause certain functions to lose their definition and it shows up as broken code (i.e. no definitions for string functions like len, format$, etc... is a frequent side effect). There is another possibility, a more pervasive and complicated one (at least to explain). Excel 2007 may be interpreting the module defines differently. The API modules with essbase use a patter like this: 1: Declare Function EssSomething1 Lib "esbapin.DLL" (etc...) 2: Declare Function EssSomething2 Lib "esbapin" (etc...) 3: Declare Function EssOtlSomething1 Lib "esbotln.DLL" (etc...) 4: Declare Function EssOtlSomething2 Lib "esbotln" (etc...) The first definition sort of "keys" the dll to the VBA module, so subsequent references don't particularly need the .DLL extension. The problem is that if the first use of the dll doesn't include the extension, the dynamic linking isn't always resolved properly. In at least one case, I've had to add the extension TO EVERY SINGLE DECLARE. This resolved my issue, and it wasn't especially difficult to do, but I have no definitive explanation for why it was necessary or what made to resolve the issue. So, do I recommend you try this fix? Only as a last resort. I'd check the references for missing modules first, as it's more likely to be an issue and it's really easy to do. HTH, -Doug.

Perhaps you are meaning the timeout settings for your Analysis Server -- under Properties, General, DatabaseConnectionPoolConnectTimeout defaults to 60. Though I doubt that browsing any model should take 60 seconds. Try browsing the model
from Management Studio and seeing if you also need a lot of time.

Adobe Presenter 9 and PowerPoint 2013 - Missing Import Audio from PowerPoint button

I am only able to intermitantly use the Import button in Adobe Presenter 9 to Import Audio from PowerPoint. Why would I be able to do it on some presentations but not all? I thought it was an audio conversion issue but even when I convert the audio (when prompted by PowerPoint) it doesn't always allow me to import it.

I have found a solution if the original PowerPoint was a ppt file, follow these steps:
File > Save As a pptx file
Close PowerPoint (this helps with not corrupting the file)
Re-open the pptx file
File > Convert
Save with a new file name (this helps with not corrupting the file)
You should now have the Import from Presentation button if you go to the Presenter tab and click the Import button
I have not found a solution for pptx files yet.
