Adobe 6 pro printing problem

Receiving error "pdf disable did not print" when trying to print to pdf file. Have reinstalled adobe and still have same problem. OS is windows xp pro sp2. Any assistance would be great. Thanks

Without actually having the digital assets to look at, it is a real cr*pshoot to guess as to what is going on here.
What is the pseudo-American flag in term of object types? Vector, raster, what? Perhaps you can point us to the objects to examine?

Adobe pro - print settings: How do i make a custom page size list, which i can copy to my other computers who have adobe pro installed?

your right.. i ment acrobat pro :-)
my problem is that i use the PDF printer to export CAD drawings as PDF´s.
As it is now, there are some pre-defined page sizes in the print settings, and i know i can add custom pages manually one at a time.
What i want is to copy the list of my danish standard page sizes, and use them on my other versions of acrobat.
Its like 70 different sizes, and i have them made manually on my current computer, but i hope its possible to copy the list to other computers.
Maby its some script where i can define the sizes, and then copy to another computer. Im just not that much of a computer genius :-)
Hope i got through this without to many spelling mistakes...
    Thanks for helping.

  • Adobe Reader Printing Problem

I have a PC with Windows XP SP3. When I try to print a PDF document, I get the following message: "The document could not be printed. There were no pages selected to print." Of course, I had selected the pages to print.
Recently, I had many problems with Adobe Reader 10, so I removed it and reloaded Adobe 9. Today, when this printing problem appeared, I did a restore on my computer, taking it back a few months. I still have the printing problem.
Any idea what's wrong? Any idea how to fix it?

I have Acrobat Pro 9, but the feature I am using is listed under my
    printers.
If I go to Print, then in the drop-down list of printers, I have PDF -
which essentially creates a new PDF document.  I don't really understand
why it worked, but it did.  The Print - PDF is also available to Word,
    Publisher, etc.
    Hope tis works.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Printer Problem

When I export my *.doc to a *.PDF using Word, the *.PDF generated displays correctly on my computer but prints incorrectly on my printer. Whole sections of text will not show up on the physical printout. All my software is up to date. Please help.

Check to see if the printer in Acrobat is set to document and markup. It may be that the information being printed has been restricted. When you say export, what do you mean. There is no export as such in WORD, only print to the Adobe PDF printer, Save As Adobe PDF, Save As PDF & other (the MS plugin), and the Adobe menu for create PDF (this is PDF Maker). The last comment may not be the issue for you, but is a clarification question on how you got the PDF.

  • Adobe X Print Problem

I have a Canon Pixma MP750 printer.  With Adobe X installed and when trying to print multi-page pdf files, the first page would nearly complete printing, then the printer would pull the page back into the printer and Jam.  After much trial and error, the only fix seemed to be to uninstall Adobe X and install Adobe 9.5.  Is this a known problem in Adobe X?  will it be fixed soon?

It sounds like a double-sided printing problem with the printer. I am assuming that AA9 is not set to print double sided and that you have run into a default that seems to be the case for AA X of double-sided printing. If the latter, try to turn of double-sided printing. If that is indeed the case, you might check the paper loading. Some paper has to be loaded with a specific side up for double-sided printing or the paper tends to jam.

  • Adobe professional 8 - adobe pdf printer problem

Running windows 7 64 bit enterprise edition and have installed adobe professional 8. When I fx. want to print a file to the "adobe pdf" printer the job newer is finished. It is just stay in the printer que, and nothing happends.
Have tried to remove the Adobe XI reader, that was installed, if it could be any conflict but did not help. I also tried with a repair of whole adobe prof. package, but still the same problem.
If I look on the adobe pdf printer and look on which port it is printing to it is standing as LPT1 ? - is that correct. There is not any other adobe pdf port available if I would like to create one.

The updates are critical when using an old version. Even older versions can be made to work in 32-bit systems, but have to have workarounds. However, folks have reported success for AA8 with both 32 and 64-bit systems, but the updates were critical.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro Printing Problem

Hello everyone I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5 and when I print a file I have some issue with the design elements.  I have a american flag and has some areas which expand.  Below is a picture of what the file should look like:
No what happens is the file prints like this:
Please not the expanded white area in between the red stripes on the american flag.  This may vary from file to file, but I cannot have this since these will be sent out to a customer for approval.  I have tried Adobe Illustrator, and have no problem with the file.  I have saving a PDF from Adobe Illustrator and then printing in Adobe Acrobat Pro for proper color.  Any suggestions would be great!  I can provide more information also.  Thanks!

  • Acrobat 9 Pro Printing Problem

I have a problem with printing in Acrobat 9 Professional. I am printing to a Canon imageRunner C3220 color laser printer, using PS3 driver. My OS is Windows XP Pro x64 2003 SP2.
Only the first page of multipage PDFs will print. I have checked Acrobat print settings as well as the printer's settings, and all seems to be correct. I sent a sample document to a co-worker and she printed it using Reader without a problem. The majority of the documents I create eventually become PDFs. This would be a serious problem if there is no solution.
Acrobat 8 worked fine. Any help would be appreciated.

    Chuck,
I just went to the Canon website. For your printer, some of the printer
boards use Adobe PS3 and some of the printer boards use emulation. Can
you check to see which you have?

  • Further Adobe Pro 8 problems

Here are some further problems I have encountered with Acrobat, after upgrading from CS2 Design to CS3 Design Premium.
In addition to Acrobat 7 refusing to launch unless an administrator's password is typed in, now Safari will not open PDF files inline if Adobe Acrobat is the default PDF reader.
We also have a copy of Acrobat Pro 8.0.0 that keeps crashing. The icon appears, the arrow appears, but it crashes even before a splash screen appears. Well, how about updating the software. Great idea!
So I found the Acrobat updater at Adobe's website. Well, when I launch the updater, it asks which version of Acrobat to upgrade, and when I try and select Acrobat 8 to update, it refuses to select it, as if it doesn't exist (or it isn't Acrobat).
I then go through CS3's updater. It sees updates for programs like Camera RAW, Illustrator, Bridge, etc., but no updates for Acrobat Pro. Odd.... It seems like it just doesn't even see Acrobat is on the system.
I even went through the process of reinstalling just Acrobat. Still no luck, Acrobat 8 still crashes.
    Any help?

Acrobat 8 constantly crashed after we installed it. We re-installed and it still crashed: the icon appeared, the arrow appeared, and then it crashed a few seconds afterwards. We updated the software but still the same. Finally, my boss suggested this solution:
    1) Go to the upper right corner of your screen and click on the other "User" window. If you don't have one, create one.
    2) Launch Acrobat 8; then in the Menu, go to Help > Check for Updates. A window might pop up stating the problem. Do the repairs it suggests.
    3) Do any updates still necessary, then quit out of Acrobat.
    4) Go back into your user window and launch Acrobat.
Our problem was that one of the preference folders of my "User" had a file conflict. The other "User" was cleaner since it wasn't worked with as much, so it didn't have any conflicts. And our PDFs print fine -- both single- and multiple-page files. Not sure if this will work for you, but it solved our problem.

  • Macbook Pro: printing problem

    Hi,
I have a pretty weird problem with my Macbook Pro. When I try to print in Word, Excel or any native Os X App, Os X returns an error, ranging from "out-of-memory" (although 800mb free) to "Something went wrong". This occurs when printing on any of my 4 network printers. It is no networking problem because other Macbooks do not experience the same issues. The most remarkable thing is that printing from Adobe Acrobat works like a charm, on all printers!
Any thoughts? I think it's no driver issue considering the Adobe Acrobat case.
edit: BTW, i've tried printing on different brands of printers (Xerox, HP)

If you can't find a solution, you can try resetting the printing system.
In Tiger, you open the Printer Setup Utility. Then, in the Printer Setup Utility menu, select Reset Printing System. You will need to re-add all your printers after you do this.

  • Adobe reader printing problems

    Hi all,
I have created a word document, and converted it to .pdf using Cute PDF writer. When I open the document in Adobe reader 7/8 I can see the document fine and clear with all fonts and images as they should be.
The problem is when I try to print the document. When I print from Adobe 8, the font (Gill Sans MT to be specific) doesn't print correctly. Instead of getting a word with one letter after the other, all letters of that word are printing on top of each other if you get me. This can happen anywhere on the page.
However, if I open the document in Adobe reader 7 - the document prints correctly. No problems. I have tried this on a number of machines so I can safely say its not a problem with the install of the software on any of the machines. It just seems to be an incompatibility with the Adobe reader 8 software.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening or how I can get around this on Adobe reader 8?
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.
    Mo

a bug most likely. I can only see a couple of options for you. Don't use Reader 8, use a different PDF creator, or try to tweak the settings in in Cute PDF to make it embed and encode the fonts so that Reader 8 can print successfully.

  • Acrobat Pro - Printing Problems

I've just started having problems printing from Acrobat Pro 9.0.  I've heard there might be a patch or something to solve this issue, but can't find anything.  I realize that this is an old program, but don't have the funds to upgrade, so have to stick with what I have.  The problem occurs every time I try and print a PDF that was created in Illustrator or InDesign (it says that there are no pages selected or it just funnels through like it's going to print, but nothing happens and it disappears from the print queue.  Occasionally I have a problem printing PDF's that were created from other sources (or downloaded from the web) - most of the time these take at least 15 minutes or so to print each page.
This just started happening.  I don't have problem printing from other programs, just Acrobat Pro.  Any help that anyone can send would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you for responding to all of my questions and helping with this problem.  I'm sorry, but I'm not sure how to apply these.  I've opened up the link and it wants me to connect to a server…I selected guest.  It doesn't connect to anything.  I'm not exactly sure what I am supposed to be doing with this.

  • Adobe Form Print Problem - Header is cut off without print preview

We are currently experiencing a problem when trying to print Adobe forms.  We have created several forms and are experiencing the same issue with all forms.  The issue occurs when we are trying to print a form.  If we choose a print preview prior to printing, the form looks normal and prints fine.  However, if we do a direct print (i.e. no print preview), then the top part of the form is cut off.  It's almost like all of that data on the form gets shifted upward, cutting off about 1/2" to an 1" from the top of the form.  We have tried printing to different printers and are ending up with the same results each time.  We do not experience this issue with SAPScript.
I have searched several threads and haven't been able to find an issue quite like the one we are experiencing.
Has anyone ever exeperienced a problem like this before?
Currently using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.1.2 and are on Netweaver 7.00 EhP1.
    Thank you for any help.

I am going to go ahead and close this thread as I believe we have found a solution.  Sai is correct that there is an issue with the design.
If anyone else runs into this problem, take a look at note 968394 that talks about differences between print preview and printing from spool.  When you are in the print preview dialog box, under "Page Scaling," the default is "Shrink to printable area."  So if your form went outside the margins, it would shrink to fit giving you the impression that the problem is not with the print preview rather than the form itself.
After moving the header stuff down a bit everything is printing normal both through the spool and via print preview.
    Thank you!
