Adobe 8 Pro serial is invalid after trying to move from one pc to another

So I've de-activated the key from computer (a - win7 64bit) and uninstalled it. Then when I try to use that same key on computer (b - win 7 64 bit) it says it's invalid.

Please remove Acrobat and reinstall it and use the serial number to activate it.

Cant open boot archive after copying Solaris 10 from one machine to another

We are running "Solaris 10 3/05 s10_74L2a" on a Sun Fire 480R.
I tried to, using ufsdump to copy the filesysem to a T5220 which has 4 disks, the first 2 disks are a mirrored os of a Solaris 10 version already there.
So I restored the ufs inages to the 3rd disk, ran installboot with the bootblock from the restored image for s sun Fire 480R as there did not appear to be a bootblock for a T5220 , as its a more recent server.
ie:
installboot /mnt/usr/platform/`uname -i`/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s0
/mnt/usr/platform/SUNW,SPARC-Enterprise-T5220/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk: File not found
so I do this instead :
installboot /mnt/usr/platform/SUNW,Sun-Fire-480R/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk /dev/rdsk/c1t2d0s0
Now then I try to boot I get :
Boot device: /pci@0/pci@0/pci@2/scsi@0/disk@2 File and args:
ufs-file-system
Loading: /platform/sun4v/boot_archive
Loading: /platform/sun4v/boot_archive
Can't open boot_archive
Evaluating:
The file just loaded does not appear to be executable.
but, as far as I know this old version of Solaris did not use a boot archive and there is no directory /platform/sun4v/boot_archive in the restored files, nor on the original server.
So, my question is, if the old version of os did not support a boot-archive, why is this restored image, when I boot , giving this error.
Surely all the data on the 3rd disk should be the same as on the old server.!!
What am I missing here ??

Well, you can't just copy an OS from one type of system to another and expect it to work. For one thing the OS communicates with its hardware through the /dev/ and /devices layer, and that layer will be completely different when you transfer it to another system.
Second of all the lack of boot block for the T5220 in your installation indicates that your version of Solaris 10 does not support the T5220 platform, which probably means that it will be impossible to boot completely on it anyway..
I'm not sure when the SPARC systems started to use the boot-archive..
Anyway, the two things you have missed is to create the boot-archive (with bootadm update-archive -R /mnt), and to run devfsadm on the new platform (devfsadm -r /mnt ).
Even so, there is no guarantee that your version of Solaris actually supports your hardware.. But i guess that's documented in the Sun System Hardware Handbook..

Acrobat XI Pro Serial Number Invalid after transfer to new Mac

I recently got the new MacBook Pro OS X 10.9 and when I started up my computer I transferred all of my information over to my new Mac from my old MacBook (2008 version).
I was happy that my Acrobat XI Pro transfered over, but it only transfered as a "trial" software and all previous records of purchasing my sofware in my account at Adobe are now gone. I thought I would be fine because the trial software frequently reminds me that it is a trial, and prompts me for my serial number. I have my serial number from my previous Acrobat saved and entered that number. When I do, this message pops up,
"This serial number is not valid for Acrobat XI Pro. You can either use a valid serial number for Acrobat XI Pro or use this serial number on the appropriate product."
What???
Please help, my trial ends soon and I've run out of options. I can't lose this expensive software!

After transferring my music from one PC to another ITunes wont let me add music to my iPhone, why?

iTunes wants to delete all my music on my iPhone and replace it. That includes playlists I have created. I have authorized my iPhone 4 for use on the new computer. Why is this process so painful? how can I stop this process from occurring and why can't after authorization can I not just carry on as I did on my old PC? Thank you for any assistance.

May be asking the obvious here - but on your new pc, whenyou have installed iTunes - do you have the exact same playlist in your new pc iTunes library? It may simply be that your iphone is synched with "another" iTunes Library and doesnt recognise the new pc iTunes library - ...if you have the exact same library and playlist in the new pc this should not be a problem. However, if you want to extract all your playlists/ music etc from your phone to be loaded into your new library - or even as a backup just in case, use free software from www.getshareipod.com - its absolutely brilliant for ripping your content out of a phone/ ipod for you to copy to other devices or import back into a new iTunes library...have used it to extract 2Gb of music out of an old iPod for consolidation into my new iTunes library....Good luck!!

Publish Error after copying domain file from one mac to another

Hello there,
so here is the problem: I have had iweb installed on a MBP, and a website up and running. Now that I just bought an iMac I wanted to transfer all the iWeb over to the iMac and make it the main machine. I was doing all the transfer work manually rather than using the migration assistant or time machine.
I have copied the domain file in the iWeb directory over to the iMac. iWeb starts and displays all the pages and sites normally, but when I try to publish I get the " Publish Error. An unknown error occurred" message.
On the MBP everything was/is working normally.
I have tried to copy the same file again, no change. I have deleted the preference file, no change.
I have tried publishing to a local folder, and get the same error message.
Does anybody have an idea how to get this fixed? I browsed through the discussions here but couldn't find anything regarding this specific issue.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
3 - reboot.
4 - launch iWeb and try to publish.
If that doesn't help continue:
5 - move the domain file from your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
6 - launch iWeb, create a new test site and save.
7 - go to the your User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
8 - move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
9 - launch iWeb and try again.

Issues after copying a query from one IP to another

Hi Friends,
I have a query which was built on a infoset, i have built a multi provider with aditional objects apart from what i have in the infoset, i.e. this Multi provider has all the objects which are used in the query. I have copied the query from infoset onto the multi provider. All is well until this point.
but when i see the default values or free characteristics of this copied query, it still shows the objects with prefix of old infoset. Shouldn't it be having prefix of multi provider instead as this query is based on the Multi provider?.
Also when i save the query, i get a error message saying that XXX characteristic is not found in the info provider(MP), where as this cahr is available in the Multi provider.
Can someone pls guide me how to resolve this?.

Hi,
I get an error message when i try to copy the existing query to the new Mulit Provider. This i get in Transaction RSZC after i give source Ino cube XXX and Target Info cube ZZZ and select Queries radio button and execute.
The error message what i am getting is as follows
InfoObject Source__F1 is missing in target info cube (Muti provider name).
like this i am getting for almost all the objects, but all these objects are available in the target.
Since, the query was a stright forward one i have created a new query exactly like the other one.But now i get another problem, i cant see the data in the report, even though there is data in DB. I checked the data on the Infoset and Multi Provider using Listcube.
Can you suggest what can i do here?

After copying the audio from one project to another, there is only silence?

I am working in Adobe Premiere CS4. Because of an error with one of my projects, I wound up just copying all the video as well as the audio (which has a bunch of fadeouts/intricate splices) to another project. When I try to play the audio in the timeline, however, there is just silence. The video is just fine, though, besides things like scaling being off, which I've accepted that I will have to re-do manually. But does anyone have any ideas as to why the audio is just not playing at all? Thanks.

Select one of the silent clips and then park the playhead over it. Perform a Match Frame operation by pressing the M key. That should bring your audio back.

I tried to migrate from one iMac to another.

I have an imac with OS 10.6.8, and I want to migrate it to my new one with OS 10.7.2. My problem is that my old imac can't see the new imac.
I connect them in the same wifi network, but when I ask that the old send the information, I received a message telling me that, hte old one can't see another computers ¿Can You help me?

I have the full photoshop setup on one mac that has been having issues, the license is on that computer, I need to move the files and the license from the computer thats having issues to another mac but I don't have the license or the files anymore. Is this possible to move from one computer to another?

No, you need to install the application(s). You can download the file thru the page linked below. Your serial number for it should be available thru your Adobe account online if you registered the software when you first installed it. You are allowed to have two activated installations, but if you wish to end it on the faulty machine you should deactivate it... uninstalling won't matter.

My daughter's MacBook Pro was doing exactly the same thing. I don't know if it had anything to do with the latest update. She called me about a week ago saying that her MacBook began running slower by the day . She then called me Friday and told me that it wouldn't get past the gray screen and the gear just kept on spinning. I did everything I could over the phone including Safe mode which it wouldn't go into and thought maybe it was the hard drive. She took it to the Apple store. Originally, they also thought it was the hard drive. It ended up being a corrupted operating system (Lion). Apple genius simply re-installed Lion and she's back up and running. Good thing she backed up right before it crapped out. She'll be restoring everything tonight. Don't know if re-installing Lion will help your situation, but it did the trick for my daughter.

You'll need either the installation media (if you bought from a retailer), or a downloaded installer. If you don't have the CD, you can download Acrobat from this links in this document: Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X - Adobe.
It's OK to keep it on the other computer; your license allows you to install it on up to two computers. But, if you'd like you can deactivate it on that old computer, which would free up that activation for use on yet another computer. Please see Activation & Deactivation Help - Adobe
You'll need your serial number to activate on the new computer.

Firefox v33 knocked out my Adobe 7 pro PDF printer plugin. PDFs print OK from other applications. It happened a few times randomly, and it seemed to resolve spontaneously, but now it is persistent.
I've done scans for malware, which I suspected, but nothing showed up, nor corrected it with cleaning.
I had this problem before, and I found directions on how to rest the printer within Firefox, but I've forgotten how or where I got it.
I did try to re-install in control panel, but this appears to be a firefox issue. How do i rest the plugin or Firefox to once again print PDFs from browser pages. I need to use this feature printing receipts etc.

Are you using a toolbar button (Create PDF extension) or a printer driver (selecting Adobe PDF or Distiller in the Print dialog) to generate the PDF? Older versions of Create PDF have been reported not to work any more (by older I mean from Acrobat X or earlier), but the printing method should still work.
