For those who have ERROR when trying to update to 9.1.3
First you must use the "Windows Installer Cleanup Tool"
Remove all Adobe entries 7.0,8.0,9.0,Adobe.com,Adobe AIR, etc.,etc.
Downloadhttp://www.ccleaner.com/ and Run the "Registry Scan" in this FREE Program..
Then Select Fix Issues, DO NOT Backup Registry when Prompted...
After that Run "Cache Cleaner" from this Program.....You Are Now READY TO INSTALL ADOBE READER..
Download Adobe Reader From http://download.cnet.com/Adobe-Reader/3000-10743_4-10000062.html ....
Once you Download and Install is complete you will have Adobe Reader 9.0..

The CCLEANER is for Windows PC NOT for MAC OSs.....SORRY.
Although CCleaner is a reputed tool that I use myself since its original release, I strongly advise to use caution when using the registry cleaning portion (or any "registry cleaner").
There is rarely any benefit from "cleaning the registry" of unused keys, but irreparable damage to the Windows installation may occur.
If you must use a "registry cleaner", then be sure to have a registry backup beforehand, either with a System Restore Point, or by using a registry backup tool like ERUNT.

Adobe Acrobat is the full product that is purchased to create and work with PDFs. It can also view them, but that is only a small part of what Acrobat does. My point was that the problem you are having may not be familiar to folks here and you are more likely to get a useful answer in the Reader forum.
One issue that may be a problem is that the updates generally have to be installed in order. So if you skipped one, that may be the issue. -
After installing Adobe Flash Player latest update unable to watch iplayer due to "plug-in failure"
the Adobe Flash player update instruction showed on screen. I followed the simple install instructions. It stated everything had installed successfully, but when I tried to watch iplayer programme the message: plug-in failure appeared, and I was unable to watch any programmes and unable to even listen to radio programmes. This has never happened before. What should I do please? ;(

Adobe Acrobat 9.3.4 Update failure- "Error Applying Transforms, verify that the specified...
I have ignored this issue for long enough. I have Adobe CS4, with Acrobat Pro version 9.3.4. Windows 7. Acrobat updater pops up on my machine, and when I execute the update requested, the updater gives me the update failure message, with code 1604, "error applying transforms."
I have seen solutions posted for this tranforms message, but it was a problem with Acrobat 8. I have seen no solutions as of yet for Acrobat 9, so I thought I would post.
I also tried opening Acrobat 9 Pro, and under the help tab, I initiated "repair". I get the same transform error message as above. Any advice anyone? Should I just uninstall Acrobat 9 Pro and reinstall using my CS4 disk?

Photoshop CS6 Update Failures - absolutely frustrated
Once again, after completely removing the Web / Creative suite and re-installing (because we could not update when the last revision of PS came out) we have gotten an update failure on Photoshop CS6 Extended when the updater tried to apply the latest update - 13.0.4
We examined the log files - once again its apparently looking for PS language files that are not there ? Seriously Adobe WTH ?
This insanity really needs to stop. For one, if Photoshop can only be licenseed in one language (in our case, English) why does the update look for all these other languages ?
1> We've never uninstalled any OSX language or used any utility to remove languages or fonts
2> We installed the CS6 "fresh" - on a new machine and fresh install of OSX
3> This happens on every machine we have, every time there is an update, it is absolutely infuriating we have to go through this every time.
4> It ONLY effects Photoshop - all the other Adobe apps update fine.
Is there ANY fix for this besides wasting another 2 hours re-installing and re-insalling all plug-ins ?

Interesting... I rebooted the computer, killed the installer / updater process and manually installed the update and it took.

I deleted the installer, and re-installed it (the installer) and it still produced the language errors but it also took, update successful.

Conclusion = Installer is buggy and has been for the past 3 releases of PS. Make note to self, manual install PS update from now on and save a lot of time....

Dreamweaver CS5 update apparently fixes Mac FileVault problem
Adobe has just released Dreamweaver 11.0.2 (build 4916), which is intended to fix the problem with running Dreamweaver CS5 on Mac OS X with FileVault enabled. Adobe Updater should automatically detect the update, and display the Adobe logo in the menu bar at the top right of the screen on a Mac. Click the logo, and select Adobe Updater. Alternatively, select Help > Updates in Dreamweaver.
I don't use FileVault, so can't verify that the update fixes the problem. Hopefully, it does.I was getting the same error message on both Windows 7 64-bit as well as XP 32-bit. When CS5 Dreamweaver installs (and several other Adobe CS5 products) it includes an older version of the Java 1.6 Runtime Environment which has known serious security flaws. My university's computer security people got a report from Secunia PSI that I was running vulnerable software (an older version of Java) and demanded that I immediately upgrade.
But I do have the latest updates of the JRE installed, so I was puzzled by this. When I looked at the Secunia report, the JRE culprits were installed in the Programs\Adobe folders as part of each application such as Dreamweaver (and several others). So I removed the insecure JRE folders under those program installations and replaced them with the updated JRE folder from the Java installation (JVM for DW). Granted, this was a bit of a gamble since the registry was not modified, but I had not experienced any problems until I kept getting the installation failure reported here for the CS5 DW update failure with no explanation.
Realizing that Dreamweaver is still a 32-bit app even when running on 64-bit Win 7, and I was running the 64-bit version of Java 1.6 v20, I thought I should have used the 32-bit version of Java to replace the insecure version installed under Dreamweaver. I tried that, as above, but the DW CS5 update still failed.
Then I tried to reinstall CS5 Dreamweaver only, which succeeded with the older insecure JRE which then immediately got flagged by Secunia PSI. Furthermore, the Dreamweaver update still failed with no explanation. I noticed that some of the previous Java files (by their dates) were still left in the DW installation JVM folder, after the re-install. So next I removed the entire Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5 folder, and did a clean reinstall of Dreamweaver CS5 only. It was immediately detected again by Secunia PSI as have an insecure version of JRE. However, this time when I did the Dreamweaver update, it succeeded (v11.0 build 4916) on my 64-bit Win 7 machine.
So the choice currently appears to get Dreamweaver CS5 updates with an older insecure version of the JRE or
not get Dreamweaver updates but be secure with the latest JRE manually installed. My university security people will not tolerate the former
I don't understand why Adobe does not put the latest JRE's as part of their standard updates. Windows 8.1 Update Failure : We couldn't complete the updates, Undoing changes
Yesterday I built my first computer and I installed Windows 8.1 on it, everything was running perfectly fine until today. This morning I had an update notification and I installed it, about half way through the update an error occurred and it said it couldn't
complete the update and it was undoing the changes. I left it on that screen for about an hour and nothing happened. I tried finding what the update was, so I went to recently installed updates, and there was about 40 of them from just today. Whenever I tried
to uninstall any of the updates, it said error, preventing me from deleting any of the updates. I was wondering if anyone could help me try to uninstall/re-install this update.Hi Kmanxx,
The update failure might be caused by a variety of reasons such as connection issues, incomplete Components and firewall. For troubleshooting, specific error code of the failure update will be helpful.
You also could find installation failure events and error code in log files, such as WindowsUpdate.log (C:\Windows\ WindowsUpdate.log) and CBS.log(C:\windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log). Here you first want to search for “error” in your logs. This will search for
Error entries. Focus on the day the installation attempt occurred. Refer to your time line of update log, find what error happened. Of course you could post your log content and we’d like to give it a look.
How to collect the specific error code of failure update:
We can do this by viewing your update history.
1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen (or, if you're using a mouse, pointing to the lower-right corner of the screen and moving the mouse pointer up), and tap or click Settings.
2. Tap or click Change PC settings, and then Update and recovery.
3. Tap or click View your update history.
View failed update error code.

Adobe Air runtime auto-updates itself without any notification or request on my Mac OSX 10.6.7 machine. I do not like this behavior. Is there any way to change it?
Please see our Disable automatic updates of the runtime document. However, please be aware that our updates include both new functionality and bug and security fixes. I'd definitely recommend keeping an eye out for future releases and manually installing if you disable the updates.

I can not get Adobe Flash Player to update on my Mac. It keeps telling me to close Safari even though it is closed. I tried every thing on Adobe's site to fix the problem with the same results always. I went to Mac's site as well and was told to go to Adobe for a solution. It worked fine since a new Mac in Feb. ,but it will not update now so no Flash Player ay all. Thanks for any help.

any idea ?I did the same thing, TAC support said they've had like 20 people complain about this. He said "there is no reason to update the boot code on a 3005 model. It is only needed on the 3015 and higher models to support RAM chips larger than 256MB." TAC support said DO NOT UPDATE the boot code on the 3005.
I suggested that they make note of this SOMEWHERE in their documentation. He provided me with some hidden low-level commands to erase the boot code, but as he said the 3005 doesn't need v4 of the boot code, and the boot code hasn't been tested for it, it's possible it would just break the concentrator. He then added the only way to 'fix' a damaged boot code is to replace the entire unit. He suggested we not touch it anymore, and leave the boot code running as-shipped. -

I have a static NAT translation for the IPS, there are no proxy servers in our enviorment and it can ping outside as well as update-manifests.ironport.com (204.15.82.17). DNS is setup as well.

I was trying to update my ipod but when i tried to restore it, it suddenly stopped, then it said firmware update failure. No my ipod is screwed up again. This is the second time. The first time i sent it away and they gave me a new one, i followed the directions they gave on updating and restoring to windows settings, but now my ipod shows the apple, then the exclamation mark folder with a website below that. i need help cuz i don't want to send it away again.
