I need to transfer Adobe 9.5.5 to a new computer. Where do I get the full version download? Thank you.

You cannot "transfer" programs from one system to another; they must be properly installed.
Download and run the 9.5 installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ then update to 9.5.5.
Or better, use the latest Reader 11.0.6 on Windows 7.

I'm sorry to hear that your computer died. Yuck! But installing Acrobat on your new computer shouldn't be a problem. The license agreement allows you to install on up to two computers. You will, however, want to contact Adobe Customer Care so they can deactivate the license on the computer that died. As for installing on the new computer, if you ordered from the Adobe store, you can download your software again by logging in to your account at www.adobe.com.

Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard Transfer to new Language

I Purchased Adobe Acrobat 8 online and when I received it the media was in the wrong language, can I transfer the license over to the correct language?

Did you uninstall it on the old laptop, or at least deactivate it? It sounds like you do not have any licenses left. It may be that Adobe can help you if you registered. I am not too familiar with the process, but that is what it sounds like.

Adobe Prelude Will Not Transfer Subclips Between Computers. Need Help!

I have been using Adobe Prelude for a short time but have logged about 20 hours into a project. I have been creating sub-clips of videos and then creating rough cuts from those clips. I am working with multiple editors in multiple locations. Each of them has the raw footage on a hard drive. I have found a problem when I try to send the project to another computer. All of my bins and organization transfer but none of the sub-clips carry over. This seems to be because the sub-clip metadata attaches to the clip itself and does not stay in the program files. This is a problem as I have around 4TBs of footage and cannot be transferring that footage back and forth each time I change the metadata. Is there a solution to this problem? Is there some way I can save the metadata into the program file itself so it transfers over to the other computers? I feel like I may be wasting my time with this application if there is no way of doing this. Please help!

ok i actually got a id set up and allegedly home sharing is on but the thing is the ipod when syncing keeps saying it can only use one itunes library do i want to erase my songs? i do not want to erase my songs. my itunes library i originally used is on my other computer which has no more disk space to add music to and this computer the xp also has not enough disk space to put both libraries on .. PLEASE PLEASE help!

Adobe software didn't transfer

I recently bought an Intel 20-inch iMac to replace my G5. I did a transfer of all the data from the old machine to the new, and everything appears to have worked nicely, with a couple of small exceptions. I had Adobe Photoshop 5.0 and Adobe Pagemaker 6.5 on my G5, but they didn't make it to the new machine. Their icons appear in the dock, but with the international "NO" symbol on top (the circle with a slash mark through it).
Can anyone tell me why my new Intel didn't like these two programs? Thanks.

You may have already done this but did you actually try clicking on them? I've noticed that after I install certain apps, that's the icon I see until I actually run them for the first time. I've never been able to figure out why that happens but the normal icon appears after it's been run (except for one odd Big Fish Game that still shows the NO icon but works, so I'm not too worried). You may not have the same issue but I thought I offer the suggestion in case.
The comment was made already about the difference between PPC and intel, which could be an issue, but aside from that, I've migrated intel to intel (Tiger to Leopard) and all my Adobe apps came over just fine (though I don't recall having the icon issue).

Adobe Captivate 7 Subscription Transfer

Our office has a single subscription to Captivate 7 under the Adobe ID of employee #1. Now this work assignment is being transferred to employee #2 on a different workstation, so we need to move the subscription too. Billing, to a company credit card, will not change.
If C7 were managed under our CC Team account that would be simple for me to do, but annoyingly C7 is not part of CC. For obvious reasons I don't want employee #2 to sign in with employee #1's Adobe ID, and in any case employee #2 already has his own Adobe ID in use for CC.
I could start a new C7 subscription and cancel the original, except it's a 12 month subscription so there may be some penalty.
So what do we do?

As a CC Team admin I'm familiar with switching members of my team, but unfortunately that doesn't cover this type of case where the subscription is individual.
I did an online chat with Adobe Customer Service. There's no procedure to move subscriptions between individuals, but here's their suggestion:

Seiminlen: We understand your concern Neil. This could be avoided in such a way that the both the account holder and the successor should agree to change the email address under the subscription before the account holder left the company.
Neil: OK, I see how that could be made to work. I'll give it a try when we're ready to make the switch. Thx.

Hi, my name is Jan, student Informatica in Holland.
For a school project, I need to create a download manager,
and because adobe air is new I thougt, why don't give it a try in
this enviroment.
Only there is one slight problem, I don's have any clue how
to set up such a thing. If someone knows where to find a clear

In that case you have two separate licenses (one for CS3 and one for the current version since it's not an upgrade) and are transferring only one license, so you should be OK.

Can no longer download to Adobe Digital Edition

I used to be able to borrow books from the public library for my eReader. I would download them to Adobe Digital and then transfer them to the eReader. I can no longer download from the library. A get an error message that "Windows" does not recognize the file. What is the problem?

Since iPhoto and Aperture use the same library format now, do you see your missing photos when you open the same library in iPhoto again? Did you upgrade both Aperture and iPhoto? Have you checked to see if you've entered any text into the various search fields in Aperture? Have you checked for any hidden search filters?
As for transferring digital photos, when you say it's difficult, do you mean that the process is complicated, or that there seem to be actual problems transferring the images?

How to find out if Adobe products bought "as is" in an auction have been activated? [was: license]

Hello everybody out there,
we're an IT business. We've bought several Adobe products in an auction. As the products are sold "as is", we don't know if they've been activated or not.
We've bought those products in order to resell them. Does someone know how we could know if our products (CS4, CS5, CS5.5 and some standalone apps) are activated ...Without activating them ?
If it's not possible, is there a way to de-activate some licenses ?
In the worst case, is it possible and legal to resell an Adobe product that has been activated (I guess it isn't) ?

Out of curiosity, how do you know that you have not purchased stolen or pirated copies in the auction?
Adobe has a license transfer process for legally buying and selling products.

Without that transfer process, Adobe has no way of knowing if you are the legal owner of the product licenses.

Acrobat 7 Pro will not install from Adobe download 22020134.exe

I run Windows XP. I uninstalled my copy of Adobe 7 Pro to transfer it to another computer. I successfully installed the download provided by Adobe (which replaces original disks) on the other computer. I found I was having general problems with this computer (nothing to do with Adobe) and decided to uninstall Adobe 7 Pro and reinstall it on my original computer. So far it has failed to install and I get the message: Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. Setup will now terminate.
I have removed all Adobe products from my computer other than Photoshop elements.
Has anyone any ideas as to what I can try next. Anyone's help would be much appreciated.

Run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html and remove any left over parts of the Acrobat folder you had before. Then reboot and install. You may still have some issues with the install since the activation no longer works with AA7. If this is the case, then check http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1287524.

Can't transfer files to my New iMac!

Just got by brand spanking new iMac Intel 20" today. I have a iMac G4 flat panel. I started up the new mac, connect it to my old machine through a firewire cable, restarted the old machine into firewire mode (holding down T) and began the process. About halfway through and both machines froze up. I rebooted each machine and tried again.... two more times. Same result.
Please help! Don't wanna have to drag two machines to the Apple Store!

When you do this kind of migration it is different than the past. In the past it was PPC OS X to PPC OS X. But this transfer is PPC OS X to Universal OS X.
I think folks have been more successful with limited transfers and maybe in smaller batches. I suggest doing a migration of just your use account first; personal data and settings. Then after you know that the new user account is up and running go to Apps/Utilities (on the new computer) and open the Migration Assistant again and transfer your photo collection. After you know that the photos are transfered successfully do it again and transfer your music collection, then your video collection, etc.
I would not transfer program software at all. I would do fresh installs of each program from the software CD/DVD and make sure that I know it has installed successfully and that it runs with no conflicts, one program at a time. There are some known conflicts. Do not install Version Cue from Adobe CS2. If you install Adobe Acrobat, immediately download and install the recently issued update from Adobe. Don't transfer any Apple apps. You shouldn't need to because everything from the PPC OS X Tiger 10.4 has been written and installed on the new Mac in Universal OS X Tiger 10.4.
It may take a little longer, but so does all this grief and trouble shooting when we try to go too fast with too much and it fails.

Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection Help

Hey all,
This is the problem. Basically, my brother finished University last year. He moves out and takes all his stuff with him. A year passes and now it's my time for the great adventure. I have chosen to follow in his path and take Motion Graphics and Cinematography.
I recently hand built a computer from scratch. He gave me his old Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Master Collection which is the Student and Teacher edition. He has completely uninstalled and removed all serial codes on his machine. Can I simply now install it on my machine and just apply for a student code via the way I was told (email support)?
Let me know, would save me a quite a bit of money and I can start learning early.

Although Adobe offers a license transfer process, it only applies to the current version which is CS6.
So I suspect it will not apply to CS5.5.
Have you tried installing the software and entering the serial number he received?
