Adobe 9.5x converter printer "Single Page Continuous"

We use the Adobe 9.5.1 PDF Converter Printer to create PDF documents from other programs. In Adobe we have Edit | Preferences | Page Display | Page Layout set to "Single Page Continuous". This seems to only be applied when creating documents inside Adobe Acrobat. When using the Adobe PDF printer it's not applying this setting to the documents it's creating.
There doesn't appear to be a "Single Page Continuous" or another page layout option in the Printer Properties. Is there a setting we can turn on in the Adobe 9.x printer?

The Create PDF Printer instance is just a mechanism to send postscript files to Acrobat Distiller for Printing. In Distiller, I could find no joboptions setting to do what you wish.

    Hey vcomfort6,
Please ensure that you are using Adobe Acrobat and not Reader to convert PDF file to word or excel.
Could you tell me whether it is a scanned document? Does this happen with all PDFs or any specific one?
Do you get any error message? What exactly happens when you try doing the same?
    Hope to hear from you.

  • Single Page Continuous Setting

How do you save this as a permanent setting so that you can scroll quickly as opposed to the slow scrolling which appears to be the default setting?  I am using Acrobay Pro 9.5.5.
Every time I select it under View - Page Display it resets when I open a new pdf.

I don't have an Open Options tab, only Initial View under File > Properties.  Page Layout under Initial View is set to default, which to me says that it should use my default setting under Preferences > Page Display > Page Layout.  It does not however  Even when I select Single Page Continuous under Page Layout > File > Initial View, it still doesn't work.  Same thing for the Risk Compliance file that you posted.  It scrolls quickly in the browswer but when I download the file it does not scroll quickly.    Page Layout > File > Initial View in the downloaded Risk Compliance doc is set to Default and the only way to get it to scroll quickly once downloaded is to manually change to Single Page Continuous under View > Page Display.  Any ideas?

  • HT4356 How can we print single pages, such as 1,4 and 8 instead of printing all pages?

On an iPad, how can we print single pages 1, 4 or  8 or 2, 4 and 7 instead of having to print all pages?

    Thanks, Alex!
ok, I try first approach in print4.vi, but Labview return an error (view jpg); if I cut From, To controls, the VI print all pages. The same things happen also if I trasform I32 in Variant.
I don't try second approach, because at this time I have only one report
I try also with VB macro: this is better (print3.vi) but.....if I use:
    Sub Print_Pages_From_To()
    ActiveDocument.ActiveWindow.PrintOut Range:=wdPrintFromTo, From:="2", To:="3"
    End Sub
is ok; print the pages selected; if I use:
    Sub PrintPages()
    ActiveDocument.ActiveWindow.PrintOut  Pages:="2-3"
    End Sub
    printer print all pages.
    what do you think?
    regards,
    Italo

  • After updating to 5.1, pages no longer lets me convert long, single page (up to 8 1/2 x 50) document to an 8 1/2 x 11 document with many pages.

I have been using pages to create a document that I always export in two ways.  1st, I export a single page document that contains all of the data (sometimes this can go as long as 8 1/2 x 50).  I have to do this for web purposes.  Next, I duplicate the document, and change the page setup to 8 1/2 x 11, turning it into a document with many pages. This is for printing purposes.
Before upgrading to Pages 5.1, this worked flawlessly.  After the upgrade, when I change the document to 8 1/2 x 11, Pages just deletes all of the data after the 11'' mark.
I am trying to make it behave like it did before the upgrade: when I convert the document to 8 1/2 x 11, it just made as many new pages as necessary and didn't delete any of the data.
    How can I do this?

Pages 5 is buggy and has had over 100 fetaures removed.
Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder, use that.

  • Printing Single Page as 2-UP in Pages

I have printing question. I'm attempting to print from Pages, but the issue I'm having probably applies to printing from any application in OSX.
I want to print a single-page document, two copies per page (2-Up) from Pages. The problem seems to be with the one page-ness of the document. The print dialogue allows for 2 pages per sheet printing, but it only works if your document has more than one page. I need it to pring the same page twice per page.
Is is possible to print this way in OSX Lion?
    Thanks.

    BMack,
Have you thought about having a 2-page document where the second page is a duplicate of the first page?

  • Printing single page from book

I would like to print a single page from an Aperture book containing 25 pages. I tried on my Epson 2400, but all 25 pages went to the printer.

Save as a PDF using the PDF button, then open that in Preview and print, selecting just one page.

  • Printing single page, but feeding twice?

    Hi,
I just installed a Laserjet M2727nfs. Everything went fine.
But when I print 1 or more pages (non duplex) it prints the page, but when it's almost ready it takes the pages in again as it wants to print duplex. But It is just a single page.
I have not been able to find a setting to change this.
    Made a short video: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18106764/20150403_083456.mp4
Hopefully someone knows what this is
    Thanks.

With many printers. 'sided' paper has to be loaded into the trays in one way for Simplex jobs, but in a different way for Duplex jobs.
Some printers offer Alternative Letterhead Mode, whereby media which is declared with a Paper Type of Letterhead can always be loaded in one way (the way required for duplex jobs).
With simplex jobs, the printer will then automatically handle switching sides (probably by adding a blank page and duplexing each simplex page).

  • Printer printing single page as multiple pages and on sometimes only print part of the page

The problem may not be with the printer it could be with the computer instead and I would think that maybe that is the problem.  The computer is an HP 255 as well, and both units belong to my school so I don't have administrative functions. The computer runs Mircosoft windows 7-professional version 32 bit.  I used to be able to print normally with no problems.  However, recently I tried to print my paystub and it blew it up so wide and long that it only printed a third of the page down and half the page across.  Today I tried to print out some other paperwork and for a single page it was printing as three pages but some pages it printed in their entirety with no problems.  I've tried to run the diagnostic check and it downloads but refuses to let me open it no matter what program I try to use.  I've tried to check the printing perameters but it tells me that it's set at 10 by 11 with no margins and is set to portrait.  If I try it on my Asus desktop, it seems to print things just fine so I'm inclined to believe it is the computer but I have no idea what's wrong or how to fix it.  Thanks.

  • Safari printing single page iPad?

I have searched and searched for a solution to this but cannot find one...How can I print a single page from safari on my iPad? For example...when a page is really long and it takes 4 pages to print it, how can I print only page 3?

If you go to print in OSX you get the option to print page 2-5 if desired out of a 20 page document. I know it's not an option in iOS standard print from safari and I thing that is unfortunate as page range is an option in other programs such as Dropbox or pages so I want to know if there is a way to get this option that some forum member has found.
Thanks anyone and everyone who has any answer of this. I don't post usually because I am a very experienced Mac user since 1986 and don't run into difficulty unless it is with non standard usage of systems.

  • Print single page?

Hi - I am now confused as a new Mac user. I am used to being able to go to print page in explorer (and using Win XP) I will just get the page I am viewing printed. I wanted to print some information from a PDF file and selected 'print page' from the print menu but it printed out the whole article. Also won't copy and paste. I have tried this with various documents so what is going on and how do I print a single web page???????
    Thanks Ann

    Hi Ann,
Just to clarify, you're in Safari and you've clicked on a link which has opened a PDF file in the browser window, and now you wish to print a single page from the multipage PDF. Is that right?
Now having brought up the 'Print'-dialog, and expanded the dialog sheet using the arrow button next to the "Printer"-field, you've changed the "Pages"-setting below from "All" to "From", and given it a page range, before hitting "Print". Is that what you've been trying to do?

  • CS5- Can't print single pages in tiled file- please help?!?

When I go to print a document I no longer have the option to choose a range of pages to print in my tiled files.  The "All" option is selected and the "range" opion will not select.  I'm not doing anything different than what I did with CS3.  Using Creative Suite with Window's 7.
    Please help!
    Thanks

Sometimes it seems like they have made this very hard when they actually made this easier for you.
It is right in front of you but because you are not expecting it to be there you don't see it.
    Screen Tile>Tile Range that simple!
It numbers your tiles for you nicely and doesn't give you odd shape tiles. What do you think of this new feature?

  • Can't keep stable continuous single page view

One day my Acrobat 9 pro mysteriously started to display output in a 2-page view by default.  I have changed the view as well as edited preferences (even trying to toggle it by setting preferences as dual page and back to single page continuous to no avail.  It seems that if I change view and preference and then save a pdf it will reopen as desired in single page continuous.  But as soon as I print to Adobe from Word or download a pdf or tiff, the resulting file opens in dual page.  This is a minor hassle but doing it multiple times per day begins to get grating -- I have tried the 'file repair' option and everything else I can think of -- what might I be doing wrong? (I am on a machine with Vista).  Thanks -- Scott

(Boy have I had a hard time responding to the reply!)
I still can't get the setting to stick no matter what I do -- setting edit> preferences, file > properties, and view>single page continous.  If i save a PDF with it in the single page continuous view it seems to reopen that way.  Any PDF I download or create from word comes back in 2-page view.  Oh well.
For what it is worth I tried emailing a reply but it bounced back and the for the longest time I have not been able to find a way to post a reply.
