Adobe Acrobat 11 MAC Update scheitert Fehler 1301

Thank You!

  • Why does the Adobe Acrobat DC Update Fail on a Mac Running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2?

I don't have Adobe Acrobat installed anymore, yet CC is still telling me I need to update Adobe Acrobat DC. When I try to update it, it gets to 35% and fails, every time. I've tried quitting and reopening CC; quitting CC, deleting the OOBE folder in my profile, and reopening CC. Regardless, it fails. Here's the output:

  • I just downloaded the Adobe Acrobat DC update on my Mac (Yosemite). Now, I can't open any of my PDFs. I'm getting the message "Internal Error Occurred." What does that mean, and can someone help me?

    HELP!

    Hi Sukrit,
Am also facing the same issue.
I get below error messages when i open a PDF.
    "An internal error occured"
I have installed new windows 7 and i was not having pdf viewer. I just downloaded the latest adobe acrobat reader DC for the adobe site and installed in my PC. Thing is, am able to open some of the PDF files (word document that is converted into PDF). But scanned images for example photo or mark sheets that are converted into PDF, am getting this error message.
    I tired almost everything.
    1) un-installed and installed again.
    2) installed previous version of adobe
    3) unchecked the "Enable, protection mode during startup"
    4) tried setting zero for "bproectmode" in the regedit (key_host_local_machine->adobe->dc> Dword with value 0)
    5) created new administrator account, and even there, i got the same error message.
    6) tried repair installation said by Sukrit...
    But nothing fixed my issue
Please someone help me in fixing this issue.

  • Where can I download Adobe Acrobat 9 updates?  (Automatic updater says no update available.  Adobe Acrobat is on version 9.0)

I can find update files for version 10 but not 9.
Google search results that would seem to link to the download I need, get to a web page that says forbidden.

    Solved!
Since Acrobat 9.2 and up are officially compatible with Windows 7, and therefore Acrobat 9 is likely still in wide scale use, I knew that the actual IT guys at Adobe would never delete the actual patch files off their servers (being an IT guy myself).
So even if the website got changed and no longer provides the links, and even if the "support" idiots that answer the phone in India can't figure out anything past "its not supported, and the website doesn't provide it", all that is needed is to find a 3rd party website that links to the actual patch files instead of linking to Adobe's download partal.
So after wading through about 20 pages of Google's search results, I finally found one here: Article: Adobe Acrobat 9.5.1 - The Path of Least Resistance | ITNinja

  • How do I get Adobe Acrobat to update automatically?

When I open a pdf I get a message that says, "Adobe Acrobat Updater has not been able to update in a while". Then it gives me the option to click a link to search for a problem online. I end up with a million update options but have no idea which one to click on. How do I get it to update automatically?

Duplex is a property of the printer and by itself Acrobat cannot globally set the attribute.
You might create (install) a second instance of the printer and name it accordingly - "Duplex Printer"

  • Major Problem Downloading Adobe Acrobat Latest Update

I am unable to download the recent version of Adobe Acrobat.  It looks like it is downloading until the end and then it says there is an error and the update was unsuccessful.  The notice that a new addition of Adobe Update keeps appearing on m,y screen when I turn it on, but every time I try to download it, the download fails.  I've never had a problem with an Adobe download before, so I don't know what is wrong.
When I click for "details" about the update I get something that looks like this:
    Feb 8 2011
    10.0.1
    Q
    Latest release
Numerous security fixes as well as improvements to  Protected Mode, QTP  support, Flash, and support for SCCM via newly  released SCUP catalogs.
I think it says error has something to do with this file:
    \file:///C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash/NPSWF32.dll
I've  read about similar problems, about I.E. 68 bit and changing that and I  have no idea what that is or how to do it.  Usually I use Firefox (and it crashes frequently).   I have no  idea how to fix this problem.   This is the only time I have ever had difficulty installing from Adobe.
The  error is I do not have permisssion to the file.   I've checked my permissions and I have signed in as an administrater to no avail. I should have permission to the files.   The advice I received was to do this:
    C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash\FlashPlayerTrust\AcrobatConnect.cfg
and check my permission there.  Problem is, I do not see "Flash Player Trust."  It appears nowhere in the folder or elsewhere.  So this may be part or all of the problem.  Here is what my Folder looks like:
    file:///C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash/NPSWF32.dll
    file:///C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash/FlashUtil10n_Plugin.exe
    file:///C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash/FlashUtil10l_ActiveX.exe
    file:///C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash/FlashUtil10l_ActiveX.dll
    file:///C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash/flashplayer.xpt
    file:///C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash/FlashInstall.log
    file:///C:/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash/Flash10l.ocx
I have looked for a download for the Flash Player trust, but I cannot find one.
Any  advice?  Please write advice in layman's or laywoman's terms, as otherwise I will not  understand it.   I am not a computer wiz -- I just tend to do what the computer tells me to.  I have tried System Restore to no avail.
I have System 7, professional.  I use Firefox,  but I do also have I.E. (not 68 or 64-bit or whatever) installed.  I don't  use them both at once.  I mostly use only Firefox (but it has been crashing all the time recently).
I posted this issue on the Adobe discussion board, but was told I might find the answer here.  Can anyone help me?  I am lost trying to figure this out -- the apparently missing file, the download error that I don't have permission to open the file...
I don't know about the AVG virus or the download hoax -- I've checked for viruses -- I have AVG, Windows Defender, and Anti-Spyware (with virus protection).
Please write advice in layman's terms, as otherwise I will not  understand it. I have System 7, professional.  I use Firefox,  but also have I.E. (not 68 or 64-bit or whetever) installed.  I don't  use them both at once.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!  Thank you!

Which error message are you receiving?  Also what operating system are you using?

  • Adobe Acrobat DC Update Failed

    Hi,
I have a big problem with updating to Adobe Acrobat DC (Windows 8.1, 64 bit); I am trying to install it since three days now. When installing out of the CCInstaller, the following error appears:
    =================================================================
    Exit Code: 7
Please see specific errors below for troubleshooting. For example, ERROR:
    -------------------------------------- Summary --------------------------------------
    - 0 fatal error(s), 1 error(s)

ERROR: Third party payload installer Adobe Acrobat\Setup.exe failed with exit code: 1603
    =================================================================
I already tried all of these recommended steps: Error 1603: A fatal error occurred during installation, but it did not work. I also tried to install it via the direct DCInstaller, but there is is always an error when installing. Sometimes this one:
(Installation failure of the Acrobat License Module. Possible solutions under http://...)
    Sometimes this one:
It's really frustrating... Any additional idea?
    Thanks very much in advance,

Same problem here! I just want to install Acrobat DC and I get the same problem, but my old acrobat version (Acrobat XI Pro still working). Are you really mean that with this 'installation of Microsoft Visual Studio' it will work. I can't effort that my acrobat don't work any longer. Thanks!
Here are some steps worth trying. Looks like your Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Run-time installation is corrupt.
I found that following steps work if you're getting error:
"Error 1722.  There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package.  A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected.  Contact your support personnel or package vendor.  Action InstallWebResources, location c:\program files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat\AcrpCEF\AcroServicesUpdater.exe"
Try following steps and it should work:
    1) Goto Download Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 from Official Microsoft Download Center and click Download.
    2) Select vcredist_x86.exe and download the package.
    3) If you're on a 64 bit machine navigate to "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\" else navigate to "C:\Windows\System32" on 32 bit machines. If "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" folder exists then you're on a 64 bit machine.
    4) Search for msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll and rename both files. Don't delete them so that just in case vcredist_x86.exe package fails to install you can rename them back.
    5) Now double click vcredist_x86.exe and install it. After installation completes check that msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll are now installed back. You can delete the files that you renamed in step above now. Don't delete msvcr120.dll and msvcp120.dll
    6) Install Acrobat through CC Installer and it should install now without complain.

  • Adobe Acrobate 10 updates set computer to previous system restore point

I just installed the update for Adobe Acrobat 10 Pro and realized that the update put my computer to a restore point from the previous week.  Unfortunately I had installed  critical updates to other software last week, all of which were not captured in that restore point.  I now have to go through and reinstall the updates.  I am wondering why this happened and whether or not this is something I will have to contend with everytime the software updates?

  • Adobe Acrobat DC Update Failed - wrong directory and names?

The CC applet downloads stuff and extracts it under TEMP.  Then it complains  that
    E:\Temp\{AE78F010-4298-4465-BAE0-11B03C94ACAB}\Acrobat_11_0_0_CCM_MUI\Adobe CS7\payloads\AcrobatProfessional11.0-mul\
    is not available.
Sure enough, there is no such directory.  What was extracted is
    E:\Temp\{453CF38A-AA1D-4D7F-8667-4D08A3A9D070}
and under there is a file with the correct name:
    E:\Temp\{453CF38A-AA1D-4D7F-8667-4D08A3A9D070}\Acrobat_DC_Web_WWMUI\Adobe Acrobat\AcroPro.msi
But when I choose that, it claims that it's "not a valid installation package for the product Adobe Acrobat XI Pro".
If I run the MSI or the Setup.exe (in the same directory) directly, it asks for a Serial Number.

    Hi JMDlugosz,
What version of Acrobat do you currently have on your system.. Acrobat XI or DC?
Moreover, What os version are you using? Have you have installed OS on E:\  drive?

  • Adobe Acrobat v10 Updates

I'm in the process of streamlining an install of Adove v10. The last cmd I can issue successfully is  msiexec /a AcroStan.msi /p AcrobatSecUpd1003.msp
That command issues the installer perfect. The next command I issue to try to upgrade the install to version 10.1 is
    msiexec /a AcroStan.msi /p AcrobatUpd1010.msp
    & it fails with the
The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the
Windows Installer service because the program
to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade may
update a different version of the program. Verify....bla blabla"
I am getting these updates directly from Adobes website at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows

Hi. Try patching the base release (the original MSI before all of the quarterly/out-of-cycle .msp updates were applied) with the next base release when it hasn't already been updated. However, if a new Quarterly has been released (like 10.1.1) use that instead.
There are 3 types of patch:
    Base Release (e.g. 10.0.0 or 10.1.0 or 10.2.0)
    Latest Quarterly (Q)
    Latest Out-Of-Cycle patch (OOC)
Acceptable AIP patch patterns for Windows deployments are as follows:
Acrobat (Formula = Base release + latest quarterly + latest out of cycle patch)
    Acceptable: 10.0.0 > 10.1.1 (Q)
    Acceptable: 10.0.0 > 10.0.1 (Q) > 10.0.3 (OOC)
    Unacceptable: 10.0.0 > 10.1.0 (Q) > 10.1.1 (Q)
So in your case try discarding the updated MSI which you've patched with the (Q) and (OOC) updates. Copy the orginal files into a local working directory and simply patch it with the latest Base Release (or latest (Q) update from within that base release version).
    "msiexec /a AcroStan.msi /p AcrobatUpd1011.msp" maybe?
    Hope this helps!
PS... Why every single one of the Tier updates? Surely you'd only need one language?
