Adobe Acrobat 7.1.0 professional

My Adobe Acrobat 7.1.0 professional all of a sudden won't start anymore...
Cansomebody tell me what to do?

What operating system. By not starting, I assume you can not select the program and start Acrobat -- not that you can't double click on a PDF and get it running. Did you upgrade your OS or something? Are there other recent changes to your OS or other package installed? In windows, go to Control Panel>Programs & Features and do a repair to AA 7. Then open AA 7 and do the updates from the help menu. AA7 is on 7.1.4 for the latest. More information would help us help you.

  • Cannot uninstall adobe acrobat 7.1.0 Professional

Adobe acrobat 7.1.0 professional has become corrupted and is no longer functional.  When I try to remove in order to install a newer version I get an Windows Installer message "The installation source for this product is not available.  Verify that the source exists and that you can access it"  I have no idea what file it is looking for.  This is on an older system running XP professional. Any help would be appreciated.

It is looking for the CD or image that you used for the installation and possibly the CD for the previous version if it was an upgrade.
Instead of trying to remove, why not just repair. An uninstall is usually the last course of action to take.

  • Adobe acrobat x and 9 professional convert landscape to portrait in Mac 10.6

    Dear all,

    2) Even i print the pdf document through adobe pdf printer. But i couldnot save the pdf file in mac 10.6
    3) Even check the windows in same seneorio. We are facing the same problem. But in window we could save the pdf file through the adobe pdf printer.
    4) why the landscape document convert portrait in using Adobe 10 or 9 profes.
    How to resolve this issue.
Windows also the lanscape covert portrait while print the pdf file.

    Dear user,
    Thanks for reporting the problem.
It looks like that you are getting confused with the option "auto-rotate and center" available on the print dialog. This option gives your document the best fit as per the dimensions of the document on its own. It ignores the orientation settings(intentionally) given through page set up dialog. I would request you to turn off this setting and try your workflow and you should be getting the more clarity on the same.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional - Crash Problem

The error appears when I open Acrobat, but also if I open any folder containing a PDF. The error reads "A serious error has been detected and Adobe Acrobat 8.1.0 Professional cannot continue. Please re-install the application and try again." If Okay is clicked Acrobat shuts down. Have tried repair and uninstall / reinstall. Noted on some forumn web pages that I need to remove the Adobe foldes before reinstall, bu tI could not find them.  Any suggestions?

The Adobe folder should be under Program Files on your system. On my Win7 system they are in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0.

the Adobe Acrobat at some future point?

If you wish to reinstall Acrobat Pro, you'll need to remove Reader 9.1 first using the Windows Install Clean Up Utiltity. Then reinstall Acrobat Pro.
Adobe recommends that you NOT have both Acrobat Pro and Reader on the same system. These programs share many filenames and resources and and step over each other such that neither product works as it should.

  • Advange of using Adobe Acrobat over Microsoft word 2007 PDF add -in

    Hi,
I would like to know what is the advantage of using Adobe Acrobat 9 standard or professional over Microsoft Word 2007 PDF addin. Microsoft will ship the PDF convertor with SP2 later this month, in that case what should be the use of using adobe acrobat to convert a document to PDF and not use microsoft word built in features.
This is just a doubt which arouse and thought if I could ask here, thought to control some adobe acrobat licenses being used in our environment.

I have found that some of the links and other items just to not work well with the add-in from MS. However, with OFFICE 2007, it appears that MS has put some hooks in the system to screw up Acrobat. Typical pages that are produced with Acrobat get cut into sections (a graphic will be chopped into multiple graphics and pasted together). I say this is OFFICE only from the perspective that we have tried it with OFFICE 2007 and both AA7 and AA8 and gotten the same result. When we used the same file in OFFICE 2003 with AA7, the PDF was fine. So when you complain about the PDFs created by OFFICE 2007 and Acrobat, you may be seeing something that is a result of OFFICE, not Acrobat. Generally they still look good, it is only in some detail where you will see problems.
A major advantage we found with Acrobat is that it did not have issues with messing up the links that the MS add-in had. You can try some of this yourself, but that is a summary of our conclusions. Bill

  • Reinstalling adobe acrobate 7.1.0...no support to register?

I am trying to reinstall adobe acrobat 7.1.0 professional, registration is required but there there isn't any support to register via internet or phone. Now what can I do. I rarely use so I don't want to purchase a new program.

    Hi Janet ,
Acrobat 7 is a pretty older version and unfortunately Adobe would not be able to assist with that.
I would request you to switch to the latest version.i.e Acrobat 11.0.10.

  • Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional in Macbook Pro

After installation of Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional, running the software freezes the whole system. Updating of Adobe Acrobat Professional to version 7.07 doesn't help.. Full reinstallation of Mac OSX doesn't help. Running disk utility doesn't help either. Problems occurred after installing of Apple Security Update 2006-003(intel). Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional can run smoothly before installing Apple Security Update 2006-003(intel). Any comments?

Actually, there are two major hiccups out there. This link indicates Quicktime's update is the source of the inability to restart machines, fixed by deleting startup items, I believe.
    http://www.macworld.com/news/2006/05/24/cs2quicktime/index.php
Accrobat's freezing the system is a result of the Security Update, fixed by rolling back to a pre-Security Update state using Archive & Install re-installation of the OS. Archive & Install does not erase your files or network settings.
Apple has released two products that fouled these systems. Bad Quality Assurance I think.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 - file updates not installing on Win 7 Professional

How do I install MSP file updates to Adobe Acrobat after downloading them? I have just installed Acrobat 8.0 from the original installation CD on a new PC running Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) and have downloaded the update to 8.1.0 to begin with, but on clicking it get the error messsage 'This patch could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package'. Updater is not working at all. It says it cannot find any updates. Even when I place the MSP file in the Updater folder to which it is supposed to download updates, it does not find updates. What is wrong? Why won't this patch install? Thank you! I really don't want to be stuck with 8.0.0 when I know that years of updates through to 8.3.1 are available, but for some reason they will not install intuitively.

    Hi ,
Acrobat 8 is not compatible with Win 7. Please find the mentioned Kb: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/system-requirements-acrobat-family-produ cts.html#main_System_requirements_for_Acrobat_8_Pro showing system requirement for installing Acrobat 8. As Acrobat version 8 is very old product so I would recommend you to purchase Acrobat11 which has more enhanced features and functionalities.

I have tried to purchase Adobe Acrobat Professional XI this morning and payment (AED 1983.53) has been taken, I received a message stating there was/is a problem processing my order and that I should contact your customer service team in UAE.  Having tried this, I was met with a recorded message, in Arabic, and no options to speak to anyone.  I have found this process extremely frustrating and poor on your behalf.  Not providing any options to speak to an Adobe representative is equally annoying.  Please get back to me ASAP, as I need to use the product immediately.

CS2 is very old and reached its "end of life" a while back.  So probably won't run on modern operating systems.  If you can still run it, you'll need to uninstall what you have and re-install with the download link below to activate it.
