Adobe Acrobat 7: Can not insert pages, changing the document: Not Allowed, but Security Method set t
In Adobe 7, I need to add some pdf pages to the end of a document, but the insert pages (as well as all other items under Document> are greyed out.
On the document properties\ Security> the document restrictions summary says "Changing the Document: Not Allowed", but the Security Method in the drop down above is set to "No Security"

If there are form fields, then whoever added them probably used the forms menu, not the Acrobat form fields. Thus the PDF was converted to Designer and you are out of luck. The FORMS button found in various places in Acrobat 7 and latter takes you to Designer, not the Acrobat form tools. The latter are located in the tools menu.

Chrome - Adobe-Acrobat/Reader can not be used to view PDF files in a web browser.
I can't view PDF files via Chrome (it works on Internet Explorer but I prefer Chrome) - the error below has arisen recently on Chrome, though I can't see what has changed.
"Acrobat plug-in
The Adobe-Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a web browser. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again."
I have looked through Forum articles on similar errors and have tried the following(text copied from other Forum entries)

Configure Acrobat as a helper application: Choose Edit > Preferences., Select Internet on the left., Deselect Display PDF In Browser Using [Acrobat application], and then click OK.Quit Acrobat or Reader

None has solved the problem. However it still works ok with IE. But I want to stick with Chrome because I find IE is so slow!
I am using Vista, with Adobe Acrobat standard 9.5.2 and Google Chrome version 23.0.1271.64 m which is marked on Chrome as 'up to date'
Does anyone know why I might be getting this error on Chrome but not IE?I think I have discovered the answer to my own question!
I have disabled Adobe Reader plug-in, and can now see PDFs in Chrome.
(Steps: Chrome Menu, Settings option, Click Advanced Settings link, then Content Settings button, then select Disable Individual Plug-Ins, and a list of plug-ins is offered to enable or disable).
I then get a different result depending on whether or not Chrome PDF viewer is enabled - with it enabled I see the PDF document in Chrome, or with it disabled then the option is offered to download it, but either way I can get it it via Chrome without having to run Internet explorer in another browser window. -

Adobe Acrobat XI can not be reinstalled because it says Up to date.
Download manager says adobe pro 'uptodate' but abode pro not installed ... had to uninstall earlier.

there was a acrobat uninstaller still here, double clicked and it went through the uninstall process via application manager.
Once complete application manager recognised that Acrobat 11 can be downloaded and I did so.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 - Automate inserting signature & fields into document to be split

I am a beginner with a huge task I am trying to automate. Not sure its possible but here goes. I am getting ready to "print" my 200+ teacher contracts to a PDF file from my Filemaker Pro database. This creates one big PDF file with just over 200 "pages" as each contract is a page. Is there an easy way to insert two check boxes, a signature box, date field, print and e mail button on each page before I split the document into 200 individual pages to be emailed to each teacher or is this not an efficient way to handle it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.Any form element can be duplicated. After you create them on the first page, right-click on them using the Select Object Tool and select Duplicate.
You should be able to make copies of them on all the pages using this method. -

You can largely forget it in Pages 5.01.
If you divide your document with Section Breaks in Pages '09, you can simply drag the thumbnails into place.

We have installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro- English,Francais,Deutsch version 10.1.9 in our test environment and tried testing it for converting SAP pages into PDF with a few pilot users. In doing so we faced a challenge, where only one user at a time can use Adobe Acrobat PRO to convert SAP pages in to PDF.As long as the first user who is connected to Adobe Acrobat Pro via SAP isn’t logged off, other users connected to the same server are not being able to get the “Save As” dialog box to save the PDF in their preferred location.
This is a business requirement and we need an urgent solution for the same. Can anyone help us in telling us if this is possible and if yes the how to go about?It's not something we deal with here, the LiveCycle products are a different world. Key points: Adobe LiveCycle is a range of products, some desktop, some server. LiveCycle PDF Generator is the one you should look at, it comes in 3 editions. License terms are by negotiation. In my previous endeavours to solve this business requirement where multiple users will be able to use the Adobe acrobat feature to convert SAP pages inside SAP to PDF, I was told that it is not possible to do this for multiple users at the same time. However I have found an article according to which it says it is possible. Could you check it once and let me know if this article can be used for implementing the requirement stated above as this link clearly indicates that Adobe Acrobat is supported on Citrix.

Minimized messages do not appear under the Window menu
If I minimize a few messages (yellow button) in Mail, then quit Mail and reopen Mail, the minimized messages don't appear under the Window menu. The only way to retrieve them is to go into Expose one at a time and click on them. This seems like a bug
