Adobe Acrobat 8.1 help with language switching

We are a diversified company with English and Japanese users..
I am currently testing the Japanese version which allows a user to choose English or Japanese the first time they run Adobe Acrobat.
Is there a way to reset the choice, so that the next time someone launches Adobe Acrobat it asks if you want to use the Japanese or English version.
The reason is if someone accidentally chooses the wrong one or if a tech needs to switch back to english for some testing

We might want to have a look at the install logs to determine the cause.
Please try the following basic steps :

> Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-services-windows.html )
> Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.
Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check.

There are two versions of Adobe Acrobat .
1) Adobe Acrobat 11 PRO:- which is compatible with MAC 10.9.4
2) Adobe Acrobat 11 STANDARD:- which is not available for MAC but its available for WINDOWS

Problem with adobe acrobat/reader - please help!

Hello,
My acrobat reader was fine and I was able to open the pdf files sent to me, then suddenly it just wouldn't open anything at all. It went into open mode and just stayed there, and wouldn't let me close it. Then I got a message saying "there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. Please exit and try again". I've done this lots of times and it still isn't working.
I would be very grateful for any help or suggestions. I have windows 7, and as I said its all been fine up until now.

This is the Acrobat forum, not the Reader forum. You should check the reader forum. In the meantime, if you are not running AR9.3 or so, you should update. Prior versions before 9 are not designed for Win7 and that might be your issue -- you gave no indication of version.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Install with all Updates - Transform Issues

I'm new here so forgive me if this has already been answered someplace and I missed it.
I am running windows XP SP3 and have Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard installed on my system.
I am attempting up install version 9 standard with all the updates (9.1 through 9.4). I have used the Csutomization Wizard 9 to assist in this process and I have also downloaded and save all the update files in the same folder as the AcroStan.msi file. Call Adobe, they should be able to help with this. Nobody else can solve it, there is no workaround except to have Adobe change their records.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard came with a Scan Snap S1500

Help, I am being told I can not install this program because I am being told that the license number has been used on two computers already.
The hard drive died on the computer I originally used the Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. This computer is the replacement for the old computer. I want to use this software on this computer! I do not remember installing this program on a second computer but if I did this installation replaces the one that died with the hard drive!
I need to use this program in my business with the Scan Snap that I received it with!
How do I ressolve this problem? I need to use this program!

It is possible to create PDFs with the Distiller - it is also possible to save as PDF - i wanted to direct print via Adobe Acrobat 8.0 to use some advanced printing options which the integrated PDF creating tools in Lion doesn't offer and where Adobe Acrobat 8.0 says, that saving as PDF is not possible (i wanted to combine 2 PDFs with size 12 cm x 12 cm on one A4 page with cutting marks)

Acrobat 8 Professional was released in 2006. It's highly unlikely that it will work with Lion. It's time to upgrade.

Adobe acrobat pro 9 help button shows no table of contents

When I open adobe acrobat pro 9 and select the help button the help window opens but there is no table of contents and if I try to search for a topic nothing happens... Any help here?

How can I contact Adobe support to get help with deactivating my cs4 license on a computer that I cannot access anymore?

My mac laptop recently went kaput. So I got a new one and I restored my most recent time machine backup to it. The restore went well, but I am not unable to open my cs4 programs.
When I try, I get a message that says "Licensing for this product has stopped working..." and it gives an error code 150:30
I have tried looking for solutions myself, but nothing that I have seen on the forums has been able to resolve the issue. As far as I can tell, I think that I have to reinstall my master collection and reactivate it, however, in order to do that, I think that I will need to deactivate my old version, that is installed on my dead laptop.
So, I need help with a couple things.
1. I need to get in touch with adobe support in order to get my license deactivated. But the new adobe support system just basically sends me to the forums without providing any way to get in touch with an actually adobe support person directly.
2. I think that I will need a link to download my install media because my original media came on a series of disks, but my new laptop does not have a disk drive.

Adobe Acrobat X Pro problem with 10.1.1 MSP

I have an AIP for Adobe Acrobat X Pro and applied the 10.1.1 MSP to it yesterday.
When I attempt to deploy through Group Policy, I receive:
Error 1334: The file 'acidviewobj.tx' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file Data1.cab
I expanded Data1.cab and the file is definitely not there.
I have built this package using the following:
Downloaded AcrobatPro_10_Web_WWEFD.exe (10.0.0)
Ran -nos_o -nos_ne commands to extract
Created MST using Customization Wizard X
Applied 10.1.1 MSP patch
Am I doing something wrong?

OK, figured it out.
My problem was that I was reusing AIPs, which Adobe discourages in their Enterprise Admin Guide.
For every quarterly update, you have to recreate the AIP, then apply the new quarterly patch. I don't feel this is adequately explained in the guide, but it's the only series of steps that worked for me.
So:
Create a new 10.0.0 AIP
msiexec /a C:\Acrobat\AcroPro.msi (where AcroPro.msi is an unmodified, original 10.0.0 package. Re-extract from the 10.0.0 installer if you only have patched versions left)
choose a unique subfolder for this AIP, something like C:\Acrobat\AIP_1011\
Patch this new AIP with your quarterly patch
msiexec /a C:\Acrobat\AIP_1011\AcroPro.msi /p AcrobatUpd1011.msp
Now you can push out installs with this new, patched AcroPro.msi in your new AIP folder
msiexec /i C:\Acrobat\AIP_1011\AcroPro.msi TRANSFORMS=C:\Acrobat\transform.mst REINSTALLMODE=vomus REINSTALL=all REBOOT=reallysuppress /qb

Adobe Acrobat 8 Scanning Problem with Brother 7820N

I am all of a sudden having a scanning problem utilizing Adobe Acrobat and my Brother 7820N printer/scanner. It was working just fine scanning into PDF format in Adobe when I was on the Tiger OS. I just upgraded to Leopard about a month ago and now my scanner is not working, I can print to it no problem, but when I try to initiate a scan through Adobe it crashes and I get the following error message: "the application acrobat quit unexpectedly".
Can anyone provide me with any advice on how to fix this problem?

Adobe Acrobat 5 not compatible with Windows 8

When I try to open up files saved in Adobe Acrobat 5 my new computer with Windows 8 gives me a message that they are not compatible with Windows 8. What do I need to do to be able to open these files on my new computerwth Windows 8?

Did you install reader or such on Win8? AA5 is not even compatible with Win7, though it can be made to work with work arounds for the 32-bit version. I suspect you also have a 64-bit system, which I think is totally incompatibile with AA5. Download the Reader XI and try to open the PDFs with that. I suspect they will open fine.
If you want to create PDFs, you will need to purchase AA XI.

Exporting comments from PDF-Adobe Acrobat 9 not compatible with MS Word. Any solution?
