Adobe Acrobat 8 professional Mac will not upgrade from 8.1.5 to 11.0.9

Hi:
I have Adobe Acrobat 8 professional for Mac version 8.1.5 trying to upgrade to 11.0.9 but when I download the update it fails to grab the application. Although its visible, to advise to install the update it will not allow me to click on update. I am using a MacMini running on
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

From AA 8, you have to purchase the full AA XI. There is no upgrade for products before AA 9. You should not have been able to purchase XI from Adobe as an upgrade with only 8 as the prior product.

I just upgraded to 10.5 Leopard but my mac will not boot from the hard drive even after selecting my hard drive as the startup disk. The mac will start to boot but will cut itself off before the boot is complete. instead of archive and install you might first want to try restoring your system using TM to some time point before your failed 10.5.1 upgrade. Then try upgrading to 10.5.1 again. I would suggest downloading the full 110 MB upgrade and installing it manually rather than doing it through the software upgrade menu.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro will not load on new Windows 7 Home Ultimate PC

When I double click on the AA9 icon to initiate installation, it whirls away for a while then asks if I want to allow "this program to make changes to his computer?" I click Yes and it begins to process again for a few minutes. Then it displays the following Invalid Unicode file error message...and simply stops processing or installing. In that last process, it also reaches out for whatever reason and activates the magnifier tool in Windows.
I have thought that perhaps upgrading to a higher version of Windows might help, but who knows for sure?
P.S. – This is a brand new HP Pavilion dv6 series computer that is more than adequate to this task.

Adobe Acrobat Pro X will not open PDFs

Hello,
My Adobe Acrobat Pro X will not open PDFs. This happens twice a month and is becoming extremely irritating. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing and a system restore. What can I do to make this problem go away?

To check that it is an Acrobat problem, open Acrobat from the programs list and try to open a PDF from the file menu. I suspect this will work fine from what I read into your post. I suspect that somehow your OS is changing file associations. In that case, right click on a PDF and select Open With>Select Default Program and then select Acrobat. Be sure the check box for default program has been checked.

32 or 64 bit system? Have you updated Acrobat? Was anything else installed between when it worked and did not? When you say AA 9 will not open, does that mean when you have selected it in the programs list (OK, that is the metro interface if you have not installed the desktop options -- 3rd party)?

Mac will not boot from hard drive or install disc

Hello All
In dire need of advise...my intel Mac will not boot, even tried booting to the Snow Leopard install disc and all I'm getting is the white screen, apple logo and the wheel.
Just before this happened there was a buzzing sound like the fan was about to fail but that is only a guess on my part. Is there a keyboard shortcut to boot to a terminal window or similar to force the computer to boot from the install disc.

Try holding the Option key and see if it will boot into Startup Manager, where you should be able to choose from a good Drive or your install Disk.

Also note: key commands may require a USB Keyboard if your using a wireless and it has become unpaired.

Ipad 4th gen will not upgrade from v 6.1.6 to 8, have current update on Itunes

I have a 4th generation touch which will not upgrade. I did all the steps I could find, but have not done a reset. I have a current v of Itunes on my laptop which is on a windows operating system. I can down load apps and there is no problem in recognizing my account. I can not upgrade some of my apps because my ipad is not up on its version. Anyone know how to fix this?

The fourth generation iPod touch can't be updated past 6.1.6; iOS 7 requires at least 512MB of RAM, and iOS 8 requires a dual-core processor.

They changed something recently and advised everyone to get up to date, which I did, but to no avail. I keep getting a "waiting" message. I have used the Safari "develop" menu to simulate Internet Explorer, but with no luck.
Any suggestions?

Adobe Acrobat app will not open on iPad. Tried downloading another app and will not allow transfer from file sharing section in itunes

We've heard from many users that the desktop iTunes app often fails to copy files for some reasons.

Have you tried other desktop File Browser apps (such as iExplorer, iFunBox) instead of iTunes? For example, you can use iExplorer in the free demo mode for file system access. Other users had successfully copied files from/to iPad/iPhone using it.

Gives error message"adobe acrobat was installed as part of a suite-to enable adobe acrobat,please start another component of this suite" I have deleted the photoshop from the suite as I have done to the cloud version of photoshop..I have the serial number of the initial suite…do I delete this version of acrobat pro and reinstall?? if so where do I get the download??Any help is appreciated..

if you have a suite license, you must use the suite installation files (even if you only want one program from the suite).

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro will not download to my computer

My main computer crashed and I am trying to install Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to my new computer. I keep getting an error message Error 1305. Error reading from file D:\Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro\Data1.cab I purchased the program about 3 years ago. Being a $400 program, I hope that I do not have to purchase a new program every time my computer crashes. The progam is twice the cost of the refurbished computer that I purchased. I already paid $400 for the program I have three years ago. Does anyone have a solution for this?

If your new computer only cost $200, that might be an issue - make sure it meets the minimum spec requirements. But for the time being, check the following help document:

Download of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro will not complete

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and when I dowload it gets to a point where it says "Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. Set up will terminate." But nothing is installed. Am I missing something?

While the Standard version is not a more functional version, the message you are getting is one that you would get if you were trying to install Standard when Pro was installed. I can only think that you need to uninstall Standard if you want to have Pro.

I went through and did the download process and it only downloaded half of my Creative Suite 6. I REALLY need Acrobat X Pro for a project!!!

You need to install the Suite software thru the Suite itself. If you only get a partial download of the Suite then try again. Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache. If it continues to fail try using a different browser.
