Adobe Acrobat 9 Citrix Streaming

Application launches but the following error appears when using the application for less than a minute.
Licensing for this product has stopped working.
You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help. (147:20)
I've come across a few possible resolutions explained in the article below, but none seem to work. Has anyone been able to successfully stream Adobe Acrobat 9?

We checked with Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.3.0.148 and as we expected it works fine without any errors.
But the good news is that I probably understand the thing that you have been missing. You need to configure "AppHubWhiteList" in the registry for this to work properly.
Please follow the steps below and I am hopeful that it should start working properly without an error after this:

In my previous endeavours to solve this business requirement where multiple users will be able to use the Adobe acrobat feature to convert SAP pages inside SAP to PDF, I was told that it is not possible to do this for multiple users at the same time. 1. What is the Acrobat feature that you mean? There's nothing specific to SAP included with Acrobat.
2. Yes, some Terminal Server configurations appear supported (check carefully). All users of the terminal server will need a license, so far as I know - total licenses = total individual people using.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and Primavera Scheduler Through Citrix

I am running Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on my stand alone computer. I am working a Primavera Schedule on line through Citrix. When I try to make a PDF from the schedule on line the print quarry tells me it sent the information to Acrobat, but Acrobat never makes the PDF. The "make PDF" box just sits there, blank. Is there a way to force Acrobat 9 to make the PDF of the schedule that is on line, or is this not possible?? I could export the file from on line to my desktop, but that takes about 8 hours. There must be another way.

Yes, I know you are correct. I just get so dawg tired of the complications evolved in trying to make some programs work together. And I really don't know that much about Citrix either (at this point). I just found it hard to believe they (Adobe or Citrix) haven't ran into this problem already. I'd rather be able to work hard all day getting my customer what they want rather than spending most of the day fighting software issues. At any rate, thanks once again.

Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard on CITRIX

We have 7 servers on Windows Server 2003 Standard (SP2) part of our CITRIX farm running CITRIX Presentation Server 4.5
We have both Adobe Reader 8 and Adobe Acrobat Standard 7.0 on them, Reader works fine but when I load Acrobat (full version) i get the following error:
'An error has been detected with a required application library and the product cannot continue. Please re-install the application'
This error comes up about 3 seconds after loading Acrobat.
We have re-installed it several times to no avail.
I have heard something about the type of license that we should be using, the license we currently are using is a standard one, do we need a special one to run over a terminal session/published desktop?
Any help will be gratefully received.

This could be something to do with server permissions. I once tried to do this and basically had to change all of the accounts to have administration privileges then it seems to work. I can not say for sure as we were implementing several changes during each attempted installation. Having a
UK company formation operation meant that for a short time, clients with remotes access could pretty much do anything with our system and so it was risky.

The host of the meeting should be able to start and stop recording the live session whenever they want/need. Then the recording is viewable from a link, not dissimilar to the link for the live meeting.

thanks for your answer. Can you please be a little mor specific. Is it enough to customize the installer (.msi) generally or do we have to set a special settings, so every user will not get the popup "registration" (see screenshot attached) anymore when starting the application?

Citrix & Adobe Acrobat X + Redirected Folders

Hi,
I hope anyone can help with this issue.
We currently have Citrix XenApp 5 installed onto Windows Server 2008 x64 with service pack 2 installed.
We have Adobe reader 8.12 installed.
Also our customer now has Adobe Acrobat X installed.
This all works fine except for when you want to create a PDF with word from Acrobat. From Word, it is fine, i.e. when you print from word its fine. When you print via Adobe Acrobat it says you need read permissions to the word document.
Now this works fine as an Administrator because this user account is not using redirected folders. When you try to create the pdf from Adobe with a Word document, you get the error about read permissions, which the user has; in fact the user has full rights to the document.
All other Microsoft Office applications are fine with Adobe. I can create Excel pdf’s in any format. Only affects Microsoft Word.
Hopefully someone maybe able to help with this as Adobe seems to be terrible with redirected folders and don't seem to want to fix the problem!

In Outlook, go to File/Options/Add-Ins, and select Manage Com Add-ins, and click Go...
Then make sure the PDFMaker Office COM Addin is checked, select OK, restart, and it should be available.

Adobe Acrobat licensing moved from individual PCs to CITRIX server

Hello Adobe Community,
We are migrating our users away from individual desktops to thin clients running CITRIX. We have 6-8 licenses for Adobe Acrobat Std assigned to individuals which need to be ported over to their installs on the server. Is there an easy way to do this without having to purchase new licenses?

If these are individual licenses then no, you will need to contact Adobe and get a Volume license for the total licenses that will be used for your server.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Preflight Display Message

I am opening a "PDF File with Digital Signature" using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.
File gets opened.
Then i choose "Preflight: option for "Report PDF Syntax issues".
The following message is displayed:
"An error occured while parsing a contents stream. Unable to analyze the PDF file."
So whats the solution for this error?

Open Acrobat Pro > Open the PDF > Select Advanced > Preflight.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and Mac/video

Good day!
I am having a problem adding videos to a PDF i created in MS word 2008 (Mac). After building the document and leaving placeholders in the doc for the videos, I created a PDF on my mac.
I then went to add the videos using Acrobat Pro 9...the videos are AVI files initially. When I add the AVI files as a "create legacy content" I have to triple click the files to get them to play. If I single click or double click I get a black box where the video should be for the duration of the video (I get the impression they play but are just not visible. Sometimes i have to "trust this document always" from a yellow box on the top.
If I use the Adobe Media Encoder to convert the AVI files to F4V files i can also add them as video, but get a White box for the duration of the video...
I have spent the morning scouring the forum, trying to find an answer, to no avail.
Any suggestions from the gurus?

Often I just want to label an item on a map that is in PDF and want to use a simple label rather than a Text Box for labeling, but have yet to find a way to increase the font size beyond 24. HP MFD not recognised by Adobe Acrobat 9 with OS x 10.6

Since the upgrade to 10.6 my HP C6180 MFD is not recognised in the input devices list of scanners in Adobe Acrobat pro v9.1.3
I select from the acrobat menu:
File
CreatePDF
From Scanner
in the "acrobat scan" window Scanner: shows "Please select a device" but there is nothing in the drop down list!
This means that i can not scan a document to PDF from within Adobe Acrobat pro. I can scan through preview but preview does not provide the same features that Acrobat Pro does.
Is there some kind of solution to this?

Several of my older programs required me to install "Rosetta."

Additionally, my Adobe Apps, and even some of the Apple Products affect my System such that the fans are running at high speed, and the system is running much hotter than previously.
No Adobe apps for me. No higher fan speeds or higher temps here.
Some other "bottlenecks" I've noticed clearly are that:
iChat loads much slower than it did on 10.5.8,
In my case it loads a little faster.
Battery indicator is remaining steady at "95%."
Not happening here.
Constant IP streaming (193.4MB) over idle internet connection,

Time Machine slows system performance down drastically. When I disable time machine altogether, the system's performance improves by 33%.

Send a file with the screen errors and system data . Also send a couple of files PDF.
Translates only txt format.

Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional Random Crash (Access Violation)

hi all. first time poster. long time reader.
i have encountered an odd access violation problem - 'ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at "blah" referenced memory at "blah". The memory could not be "blah" - in 'acrobat.dll' recently with a customer who is experiencing seemingly random crashes with adobe acrobat 8 professional.
they are running the application off a citrix presnetation server 4.5 server (windows server 2003 R2 with service pack 2). each server is hosting about 8 or more users per server per day. every now and then, ie once a day, adobe acrobat crashes during use. there doesn't appear to be anything consistent in so far as the action the user is performing. they will be mid-way through marking up a document and it will just crash for one of them. all the others will continue working fine.
i have access to numerous crash dumps and nothing seems to really stand out...other than 'Acrobat_3000000!AVAcroALM_Destroy'. For example...

other than advising them to bring citrix presentation server 4.5 up to date (HRP2) i'm at a loss what to advise. citrix often have issues with seamless published applications when spread across multiple monitors (as in this case), hence, my reason to ask them to bring their software up to date. often the funtion called will be different - often times 'Acrobat.dll!PDDocCreateWordFinderEx', other times 'Acrobat.dll!PDDocAcquirePage' and there are others.
i can post more of the mini-dump if required. any - and ALL - assitance appreciated.
