  • Adobe Acrobat Installer

I have no idea how this Adobe Acrobat Installer got installed. Went to update flash, get the message "Adobe Acrobat Installer, Only a single Instance of this Application Can Run". I do not have Acrobat or Reader, only Air. I cannot install Flash. Now what? And, no I cannot find this Adobe Installer.

  • For some reason, Adobe Acrobat Installer is on my computer & I can't load Flash

No, I did not load Acrobat or Reader, only have Adobe Air. I cannot find Adobe Acrobat Installer on my Windows XP. When, I go to download Flash a message pops up Saying:" Adobe Acrobat Installer, Only a Single Instance of this Application can Run". I use Chrome for my FB games, because I need Flash. I don't have any idea how this happened. Yes, I posted this in Adobe's forum, also. Any ideas?:

    Hello Elainemacko
    1. Fist I would uninstall any version of Abobe Flash plugin or active x installed.
Please go to '''Add or Remove Programs''' ([http://support.microsoft.com/KB/307895 Click Here to see how to uninstall programs from Windows XP]) and check you don't have "'Abobe Flash Player"' Installed, If so uninstall it.
    2. [http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html Click here to go to Adobe Flash Player Distribution] (This is the off line installer)
    3. Click '''Download EXE Installer''' Under '''Windows''' and save the file.
    4. Once downloaded double click the install files. '''make sure to close any browser you have open first'''. (At the time of writing this it should be called "'install_flash_player_15_plugin.exe"')
    5. Once the installer finishes installing [http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ Click Here] to go to the "'Check Abobe Flash is installed and up to date Page"' to test if the installer install Adobe Flash properly.
Please let me know if this solves you problem.

  • Adobe Pro 8 "Access Denied"

I'm running Windows XP with Office 2003. Trying to convert a Word document to PDF using the pdfmaker add-in for Word and I get the following error during the conversion process:
    "Access Denied"
    Any suggstions?

The PDF add-in to WORD had nothing to do with Adobe Acrobat. You should be able to view the PDF in Acrobat, but you are not using it. If you want to create the PDF using Acrobat, then either print the WORD file to the Adobe PDF printer or use the create PDF button (basically PDF Maker) in WORD.

  • Error 1304 for adobe acrobat installation

So freakin frustrating. Spend loads of money at Adobe to find that just upgrading installing an older version of Adobe Acrobat completely scrwed up my system and no one is available to help.
it continues giving a 1304 error, VERY FRUSTRATING.
last time i purchase from adobe!
what can be done to unscrew up my system?

Without proper system info and other details we can't know anything. This error is a permissions issue, so something is blocking access to your system drive or at least specific folders.

  • I just purchased Adobe Acrobat Standard and am unable to upload the software to my laptop. It is stalled in the Adobe Acrobat Installer.

Do you have any suggestions are why I can't upload the Adobe Acrobat software onto my laptop. It remains stalled in the download screen!

    Hi margueritem,
What browser are you trying to download from? Please make sure that you're signed in as an admin, have virus-protection disabled, and try using a different web browser. You can also try downloading directly from Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X - Adobe
Please let us know how it goes.

    Hi all,
Having problems installing acrobat 8 that l bought because of trial version of 8.1.0. professional that is higher.

    restart your computer
and then log into https://creative.adobe.com/ and restart your download of acrobat xi.
if not, log into https://creative.adobe.com/ and restart your download of acrobat xi.

  • Adobe Acrobat installation from cs2

After multiple install/uninstalls, I am unable to install Acrobat 7.0.  I have cs2 and windows xp. The other programs (GoLive, Illustrator, etc) appear as install options but the Acrobat 7.0 does not. (It is greyed out).
Can anyone assist me on this?
    thanks much.

    Thanks for the response.
I didn't mention it but the laptop I am tranferring from was Vista Home Basic. The one I have is Vista Home Premium. Like I said, it used to work fine with the other one. I will however check in at the Acrobat forum.

  • SCUP Adobe Acrobat Installation Failures - Bad Certificate

I recently published some Acrobat updates in SCUP 2011. Shortly after that, I had to regenerate another cert from SCUP due to the old one expiring. I have some updates out there that are failing on user's machines with errors like this in WindowsUpdate.log
Validating signature for C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\431980c76c452fe726671fe621ed1900_ctc\AcrobatUpd11010.cab with dwProvFlags 0x00000080:
FATAL: Error: 0x800b0101 when verifying trust for C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\431980c76c452fe726671fe621ed1900_ctc\AcrobatUpd11010.cab
WARNING: Digital Signatures on file C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\431980c76c452fe726671fe621ed1900_ctc\AcrobatUpd11010.cab are not trusted: Error 0x800b0101
I went ahead and in SCUP republished them and checked the option to re-sign the updates with the new cert. I sync'd SCCM and saw the update in the logs getting sync'd. Then I refreshed my DPs that had the update.
When I tried to reinstall the update on a client I got the same errors in WindowsUpdate.log as above. What do I need to do so that the client's content will get signed with the new cert?

    Hi,
Refreshing the DP is not enough, you need to download and deploy those updates again otherwise the DP's will be refreshed from the source for the intial updates you deployed and they are not updated when you sync with WSUS only when you deploy a software
    update.

  • Adobe acrobat X pro installation takes up over 6gb of space

    Hi!
I'm not really an acrobat expert. I mainly use premiere, after effects and photoshop.
I mostly use acrobat to read academic articles in pdf format and I make notes to those articles with underlining etc.
I have used acrobat to open hundreds of pdf files in the last 6 months.
My disk space is always running out so I thought I would delete some unused applications.
I noticed that my Adobe Acrobat installation takes up a HUGE amount of space on my hard drive.
    Why is this?
Is there some sort of cache that I'm unaware of?
Thank you for the answers in advance

The main cache people don't know about is the Windows Installer cache, which often has copies of the installed software, and is needed to uninstall or update. You have an old release with many, many updates, each of which will be using space in the cache. I also rather doubt the real accuracy of these figures. In any case he Windows Installer cache cannot be moved, which means that offering a choice of install location is increasingly pointless.

  • Adobe Acrobat documents continue to open in web browser...

    Hi,
    I have a situation with
Web application general setting "Browser File Handing" set to strict in the general settings. Also tried changing to permissive, does not help.
Site collection "Open Documents in Client Applications by Default" feature Enabled
Document library advanced setting "Default open behavior for browser-enabled documents" set to Open in the client application.
The documents still open in the browser. Any suggestions? Can serverfiles.xml help?
    Regards,
    Arsalan.

There is no server-side solution. This is a client-side application configuration. It is basically an ActiveX plugin that Adobe Acrobat installs to handle opening documents in the browser, SharePoint has no control over it.
