Adobe Acrobat Language Settings

We've been using LiveCycle to create forms that are 508 Compliant and have found a major issue with creating a document in LiveCycle and saving it as a PDF. When brought into Acrobat there are several options that have been lost in the Form Properties menu. Under the advanced tab the Reading Options Language has been grayed out and has no value. Actually, everything in the Advanced tab has been grayed out with no values present. This is a problem because this effects how the Screen Reader interacts with the PDF.
I've been in touch with Adobe and JAWS (the screen reader) and neither of them have noticed this issue, though they both agree it is not good. Is there anyone with any sort of solution to this problem; maybe a third party software that rights this wrong or a way around it? And does anybody have an idea of what would cause this? Is there a known problem with integration between LiveCycle and Acrobat?

Default Locale won't carry over to Adobe Acrobat Language Property

In LiveCycle Designer ES, you can set the default "Form locale" under "Defaults" on the File Properties page. This is essentially the default language for the form. The problem comes when you generate a pdf from the form. Regardless of this setting, if you view the Advanced tab under the pdf's document properties, the field "Language" under Reading Options is blank, and greyed out - you cannot change it. This is the field Adobe uses to check for accessibility- if it is blank it gives an error message upon an accessibility check reading "the form lacks a language specification". I have searched all over this forum and all over the web trying to figure out how to correct this with no luck.

Have solved this issue? I have exactly same issue with PDF generated using Livecycle Designer ES2. Adobe documentation says following:
In LiveCycle Designer, setting the primary language is accomplished by setting the Locale property of
the form and the Locale property for the top-level subform. To identify changes to the primary
language, change the Locale property for any object that uses a language other than the form’s
language.
To set the Locale property of a form:
1. Choose File > Form Properties and select the Default tab
2. Select the appropriate language for the Form Locale (see Figure 17)
3. Click OK
But this doesn't work. Let me know your experience.

How can i install Adobe Acrobat 11 in german language

Hello,
a simple question.
how can i install Adobe Acrobat XI Prof. in german language?
I have the donwload option for german and this will download the AcrobatPro_11_Web_WWMUI.exe.

thanks, but that doesn't fixed my problem.
Now i have a language selection in the setup process. i select German, the setup/installation windows are in German.
after installation the application is in English.
i can't change the language in the preferences. there is only English. the option "Choose at application startup" will be ignored. also when i start the application as administrator
It is possible that our company license key is language specific?
i try a normal installation with key and one as trail version. the trial version is in German.
i see this language setup option only if i select trial version during the installation.
As information, the OS is Windows 7 Ent x64 English and the regional / location settings is Germany.

Languages in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

Hi,
I have a question regarding what languages Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro works in and can recognise.
I need to confirm if the following lanaguages can be recognised in this above program...
Arabic, Aramaic and Mathematical & Scientific characters and formulae.
I also need French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Greek - but I was quite confident it would recognise these.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Extended - How do you change the software language?

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Extended has been installed in German on my machine, is there a way like in most software to switch to the English language though some options?

In Acrobat Preferences, look under the section called (in English) "International" for "Application language".
There might, or might not, be other languages available.

Send a file with the screen errors and system data . Also send a couple of files PDF.
Translates only txt format.

Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard Transfer to new Language

I Purchased Adobe Acrobat 8 online and when I received it the media was in the wrong language, can I transfer the license over to the correct language?

Did you uninstall it on the old laptop, or at least deactivate it? It sounds like you do not have any licenses left. It may be that Adobe can help you if you registered. I am not too familiar with the process, but that is what it sounds like.

You can go under 'Control Panel > Programs' and click Change for Acrobat 5.0
From the Custom Setup dialog box that opens, select Languages and choose English as the desired language for the software.

Is it possible to change the settings in AR Properties Advanced tab with Adobe Acrobat XI?

I noticed when I went to print a PDF double sided, that despite the following the guidelines from Adobe on this process, it still printed single sided. I checked the properties of the PDF itself and on the Advanced tab, the DuplexMode was set to Simplex and was greyed out.
Is it possible to change the settings in that tab with Adobe Acrobat XI?

Thank you for your reply.
I have two printers, both support automatic duplexing. Any PDF we receive
or create we are unable to print double sided on our mac mini¹s. I didn¹t
make it clear in my question that we were fine on Windows XP, but, having
recently changed to Mac have encountered this frustrating problem.
I did a lot of research prior to recording the question and it appears I am
not the only one who has come across this problem, and I have followed the
guidelines that Adobe promote on their website to be able to print double
sided, which doesn¹t work on the mac mini Osx Mavericks.
Because the Properties, Advanced tab has ³Print Dialog Presets² that are set
to simplex and greyed out I took that to mean that no matter what printer
settings I make, and I think I¹ve gone through all that I can, the pdf will
not print double sided on Mac but will on XP.
Sorry this isn¹t the reply you must have been hoping for and look forward to
receiving further advice in regard to this matter.

Adobe acrobat pro extended 9 language issues

Hi!
Is there any conflicts/obstacles that may arise using an English version of this software for documents or purposes in other languages or does it support other languages?
If not, is there any way that I can convert an English language version of Adobe Acrobat Pro extended 9 to Swedish language?
The reason I ask is that I'm considering buying a used copy of Acrobat pro extended 9, but before doing so I need to know if I would be better off buying a dedicated Swedish version of this software.

What I would like to do with acrobat pro extended 9 is for instance to convert a two-column glossary into Excel keeping the table format. Not sure if using English version will affect the text in the Swedish translation column or not. I've used Acrobat (Swedish version) to a minor extent at work so I'm familiar with some of its benefits, such as the "Copy as table" function.
I think ibuying this software straight from retail is quite pricey for my needs and that's why I considered buying a used English version of Acrobat Pro extended. But I'm not sure it's worth buying an English version if it will limit the useability for my needs.

Migrating settings from Adobe Acrobat X to Adobe Acrobat XI

Hi,
Due to the deployment of Office 365 I need to upgrade 300+ people from Adobe Acrobat X to Adobe Acrobat XI.
Most of these users sign documents using digital signatures and therefore have a Digital ID and one or more custom Signature Appearances.
After upgrading to Adobe Acrobat XI, the Digital ID and Signature Appearances settings aren't migrated from Adobe Acrobat X.
Does anyone know whether it is possible to migrate the setting during the installation, or programmably after the installation completes?
