Adobe Acrobat+lists+background color

Is there anyway to change the background color on the drop down list from that dark blue to something lighter? Preferably white?
Thanks!
Debbie

You will have to select the text box form tool and edit the color. If you used Designer, you will have to do this within Designer, not Acrobat.

    thanks in advance

    I was having the same problem with a Tree Component. Just
    yesterday I found some code to let me do this. Where
    tabs.menuContent is the path to my Tree, or your List
    var mc = tabs.menuContent;
    _global.styles.ScrollSelectList.backgroundColor = undefined;
    mx.controls.listclasses.SelectableRow.prototype.drawRowFill
    = function(mc:MovieClip, newClr:Number):Void {
    mc.clear();
    if (newClr == undefined) {
    mc.beginFill(0xABCDEF, 0);
    } else {
    mc.beginFill(newClr);
    mc.drawRect(1, 0, this.__width, this.__height);
    mc.endFill();
    mc._width = this.__width;
    mc._height = this.__height;
    tabs.menuContent.border_mc._alpha = 0;

  • Change Adobe Camera Raw background color

    Anybody know how to change the background color in Adobe Camera Raw from grey to white?

    Unfortunately there is no option for changing the background color of the UI for ACR. However, this feature is available in Photoshop and Bridge.

  • Adobe Acrobat listed incorrectly - Group Reviews

    Adobe has incorrectly listed the "Group Reviews" support for Adobe Standard vs. Professional.
    My use case:  Create a group review document with an internal server.  Store the document on my hard drive.  Then send by email to all other users who have "Adobe Reader" to comment and publish comments on the internal server.
    My experience prior:  I downloaded Adobe professional for a trial version.  I actually tried to first download the standard version first but was unable.  The professional version supported what I wanted to do.  And the "comparison" between products online showed that they both supported the shared reviews feature.
    Problem:  I then purchased standard.  I wasted half a day at work trying to get Standard to work for group reviews.  Finally - I downloaded a trial (again) of Adobe Professional and found that I could run group reviews.  The difference is subtle - the professional version can allow me to send "comment enabled w/ publishing to an internal server" documents to my colleagues over email.  It's not supported for standard.
    Result:  I wasted over half a day trying to get this to work.  If the product comparison had been listed correctly I would have purchased Acrobat Professional in the beginning.
    Further insult to injury:  When calling to have my product returned (twice) I've been waiting on hold for over 10 minutes before hanging up.  When I tried calling sales instead I was placed with someone right away.  So far I've spent over 45 minutes on the phone and online with Adobe trying to sort this out.
    Conclusion: My opinion of Adobe Support and Marketing has severely been damaged by this experience.  I seriously think that anyone who encounters this type of experience will be (1) extremely wary of Adobe and (2) do everything possible to avoid calling their support lines.

    Further insult (via chat support):
    Temjenlong: Well in that case I request you to contact the reseller.
    ME: Did you look up the order number? [After providing all the product information]
    Temjenlong: For returning the product please contact the reseller.

  • Saving Word to Adobe Acrobat 9 changes colors

    All three of my coworkers and I have a problem with our colors when we save a Word document as a PDF. The greens come out hatched or yellow, as with other colors. We have all recently been upgraded to Windows 7, but I don't know if that's the reason behind it. Any help is appreciated. It wastes a lot of time trying to find a color that will not change when we save. Thanks

    This is the Reader forum. If you are using Acrobat to create the PDF's, you'll want to ask in the Acrobat forum.
    If you are using the Word PDF function, you'll want to find a Word forum.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 background color

    Is there any way to change the background color in the document display window of Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.0? It is very hard to read the documents against the default black background. I have been able to change the background color on the full screen display, but not the default display. This was not a problem in my older version of Acrobat.

    Sound like you must be getting to my age - with black background problems. I don't know how we used to survive with that as the default in DOS!
    Anyway, you can check the background issues. What I have done in the past is to use the object touchup tool. I simply select the page out at the border that picks up the background and move it to check. If I got it right I simply delete the selection. Worth a try anyway. If you have a lot of pages it will be a pain.

  • Adobe Acrobat X - Saved Background Settings does not retain Source File

    Hello,
    I am using Adobe Acrobat X on windows 7.
    I have a pdf file that I use as a background source file.  When I select the Settings profile from the Saved Settings drop down it does not load in the Source File.  It still has "From Color" selected and <No Source File Selected> is in the path location.
    No matter how many times I add the file and click the save settings button it will not retain it
    I've already tried both a 'repair' and 'reinstall' of the software.
    Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

    Hi Adam Baranek,
    I am looking into this issue and will get back to you soon.

  • Why Adobe Acrobat is not recognizing text on black backgrounds

    I was surprised when I first discovered this. I thought Adobe was supposed to have the best OCR software in in the world, I tested in on few backgrounds, white text on black background - not working, yellow text on black background - not working..
    I was disappointed, I had to use onlineocr, which did better job than Adobe Acrobat, it discovered all kinds of texts, bold fonts, text on multi-colored background - things that Acrobat OCR couldn't recognize..

    Hi Anubha,
    Thanks for your help.
    In Finder ...... > Twain Data Sources I found two files, "Canon MP980 series Network.ds" (1.9Mb) and "Canon MP980 series.ds" (2Mb). Next to Kind for both it says "Application". I don´t see the word "Package" or "PowerPC" or "Universal". However, under Where, it says "Macintosh HD>Library>Image Capture>TWAIN Data Source. This is also the same information I find on my Macbook Pro (OS X 10.10.3), but still running Acrobat CC (not upgraded yet, thankfully). I can still scan using my MBP.
    I was able to scan using Image Capture.
    I did not have time to go through the procedure of logging in as root user.
    Frankly, this seems way to complicated. There has to be an easier fix to the problem.
    I also checked Canon´s website for updated driver files, but there are none for Yosemite.

  • How do I remove background images from a PDF?  Using Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard.

    I have a file I need to print off, but the document is 100 pages lond and each page as a very obnoxious background image that makes it difficult to read the content, and I really don't want to waste the ink.
    I have tried a few things with no luck:
    -Tried replacing document background color in the 'Accessibility' tab in preferences.
    -Tried unchecking the 'Display large images' field in the 'Page Display' tab in preference - this leaves a dark gray background that I can't get rid of, which is almost as bad as the original image.
    -Tried several combinations under the 'Color Management' tab in preference to lessen the gray background achieved from the previous step.  I can only brighten the shade slighty, but there is still a fair amount of gray background.
    I just want a white background, or a clear background, and I have not seen any article or help topic on how to accomplish this.  Please help!
    Mike

    You might want to see if you can select the background with the object touchup tool. If so, can you then just delete the selected object. May take a while to go through the document, but if it solves the problem you are ahead. You may be able to select it with JavaScript and repeat the process. My point of using the object touchup tool is that it may not be a background set by Acrobat, but something that is simply labeled as an image from the Acrobat viewpoint.

  • How to change background color in List of Values (LOV) ?

    When I open a pdf in Adobe Acrobat xi pro it is not displaying correctly. If a file is all black with orange writing, I will see only the orange writing. Its not until i print it or open crop pages dialog box that i see the background.
    i am on a Windows 7 professional PC, 64-bit.

    If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
    The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
    Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

  • Creating a basic list portfolio in Adobe Acrobat Pro X 10.1.2 and higher

    All,
    I am trying to create a basic portfolio in Adobe Acrobate Pro X 10.1.2; however, I only have the following layouts available:
    Click-Through
    Freeform
    Grid
    Linear
    Wave
    None of these layouts seem practical.  I just need a standard list portfolio, similiar to the "list with file preview" layout available in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5.  Is there a similar list portfolio available in later versions of Adobe that I am just not aware about?  I really don't want to have go looking for a custom-portfolio to download.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Since the 12/9/14 update of Adobe Acrobat XI Standard to 11.0.10 I have lost the basic colors of the highlighting tool. How do I fix this?

    Adobe Acrobat XI Standard to 11.0.10 I have lost the basic colors of the highlighting tool. How do I fix this?

    Hi,
    It appears that this was a bug that was introduced in the latest update. Others have been able to resolve this issue by using the Acrobat Cleaner tool to uninstall and then reinstall Acrobat. You might try this if you have a few spare moments.
    And can you please share the problem PDF  which was working correctly in the earlier version.
    Thank you

  • How I can access "Convert Colors..." button in Adobe Acrobat XI using applescript, or add this button to menu bar?

    Hi, I'm writing applescript to automate Adobe Acrobat XI, I'm missing only one line of code - opening dialog window of "Convert Colors..." tool. It was easy in Acrobat 9 but some reason it's complicated in Acrobat XI.
    Is there an option to add "Convert Colors..." as menu item into menu bar?

    Thanks Gilad D. I created JS file with simple code
    app.addMenuItem({cName:"Convert Colors", cParent:"View", cExec:'app.execMenuItem("ColorConversionMenuItem");'});
    and I added it into acrobat (USER/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/11.0/JavaScripts/).
    I enabled menu items JavaScript execution privileges in Acrobat Preferences.
    Now I can open "Convert Colors" from main menu bar, and create applescript which do the same.

    I am using windows 8 and the Adobe Cloud shows that Adobe Acrobat Pro XI is installed and updated, but I can't find the app, and, when looking at my list of programs to "uninstall", I don't see it listed either. (I thought a possible solution might be to uninstall and install again)
    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
