Adobe acrobat only prints first page with airport express

I got my printer (HP PSC1315) to work with airport express using one of the solutions described in these forums. Printing is fine except when trying to print pdf files with adobe acrobat, in which case only the first page of the document prints. Preview has no trouble printing pdfs. Anyone else experience this? Is there a solution?
Thanks,
Kevin
PS- my version of acrobat is acrobat pro 7.0.5

Figured it out.
Adobe Acrobat/Reader is apparently very picky about printer drivers.
I had to have the users delete their mapped network printers from their Printers & Faxes window.
Then I opened the registry and went to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3
I deleted the drivers for the printer(s) the customer had mapped (e.g. Xerox 6360DN, .. etc.)
I rebooted the computer
I had the customer logon and remap their printer.
That resolved the issue.

    Hi there,
If you are running windows; Try downloading and running the print and scan doctor located here:
    http://goo.gl/Ujpib
It can fix a lot on its own and if not give a better idea of what is going on. If not windows post back with your OS.

  • Adobe only prints first page of multi-page PDF documents.

On a military network,  ever since users have been upgraded to Adobe Pro 9,  only the first page of their multi-page documents will print from a particular network printer.
    The OS is Windows XP.
    Adobe Pro version is 9.1.2
Network printer is a Xerox Phaser 3500PS.
Can print other non-PDF documents to the same printer with no problems.
Can print the same PDF documents to other printers in the area and all pages go through.
No error messages on printer and no error message prints out.
I have had the users change their Font and Resource Policy to "Send for each page"
I have reloaded the Xerox Phaser 3500PS drivers.
I have had the users remove and remap the network printer.
I have had them try to print just two pages
I am unable to implement Adobe's Postscript Printer Driver as this is a military network and I cannot install unapproved software on the network printer server.
Any constructive suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Acrobat X Pro Only Prints First Page

I have several multipage PDFs that I am trying to print to my HP LaserJet 5si MX. I am on OS X 10.6.5 with all the latest updates applied. When printing, only the first page prints and then the printer queue clears as though the whole document printed.
The PDFs print fine in their entirety from Preview. I tried Reader 7.0.7 which also works fine.
Reader X has the same problem as Pro.
I checked for update printer drivers, but they are included with OS X and HP has no updates.
    Thanks for any help!

I have had the same experience. My HP 4050 reported "Insufficient memory" after printing the first page. The PDF was created with Acrobat Pro X by combining PDFs sent as attachments. The file is 238 KB, and is printed without difficulty using Acrobat Pro 9.

  • Acrobat Pro 8 will only print first page of pdf at 11x17

Hello all. When I try print 11x17 from Acrobat Pro 8 only the first page prints. I have tried several printers and all do the same. I have tried entering page numbers rather than leaving it on print all. I have tried printing 11x17 from other applications and it works fine. And I am able to print 8.5x11 from Acrobat just fine. I've tried searching all sorts of forums and I cannot seem to find any information on this particular problem. Suggestions anyone? I need to get this resolved...it is highly annoying since we print many 11x17 documents on a daily basis.

Since Acrobat is not an Apple product, you would probably be better off posting your question on Adobe's own forums as they would be geared more toward the issue than an Apple forum:

  • Only Prints First Page

For some reason when I try to print multiple photos from IPhoto only the first page is sent to the printer. Forinstance, if I want to print a contact sheet of the 20 photos I just shot, this is what I'd do:
Select and highlight the 20 photos in the Library, file > print, select "Contact Sheet" and select 10 photos per page from the drop down menus in the printer dialog box, and then select "Print".
Then is where the problem begins: The computer only spools one page and sends it to the printer. It will not print the balance of the sheets.
I'm using a Canon Pixma IP 5000 and an Epson 900, both are having the same difficulty so I suspect the problem is in the computer somewhere.

    Ebo!:
As a workaround try selecting the option to select the pages to print and put in form 1 to xx. See if that will jump start the spooling of all pages.
As a fix: first delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. Then try again. Next run either OnyX or Tiger Cache Cleaner to clean out the caches.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • P1102W only prints first page or two of a job

A week or so ago, my P1102W stopped printing the complete job. Only the first page, sometimes two, would appear. The green light would be left flashing quickly rather than the slow pulse (3 seconds) when a job has completed. Pressing the red X button would often cause another page to appear but this would only work once or twice, after which the rest of the job was lost.

Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that your HP Laserjet Pro P1102w is only printing the first page or two of a job, on Windows 7. I am happy to help!  Please try the steps within this guide, Print Jobs Stuck in Print Queue (Windows), and let me know what happens! (Even though the guide title may not match your issue, I believe the solutions will help.) Hope this works!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

  • We have a Lexmark Pinnacle Pro901 and cannot get the printer to work with airport express - any suggestions?

Can anyone give us suggestions on how to get our Lexmark Pinnacle Pro 901 to work with airport express? We cannot get airport express to recognize the printer.

Refresh all your devices before reconfiguring printer to connect to your computer.
    a Shutdown computer
b Pull out printer power cord from the socket. Let it stay for at least 30 seconds then plug it back.
c Powercycle your router (unplug your router for at least 30 then plug it back. This will not change the settings of the router. This will just refresh the device)
d Once router is ready , put back brick at the back of the printer to turn it on
    e Wait one minute
    f Turn on computer

  • Printing to printer on windows xp computer, only prints first page

    hey all,
I need some help. i just switched to a mac and I am loving it, but in my small office, I am having trouble printing. Two printers are connected to a Windows XP computer. I can connect to them via the network and print, but it only prints the first page...Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Hello Cate_B and welcome to Apple Discussions.
The CIFS host error message is often a result of the Mac not being able to resolve the Windows computer name. This would be confirmed by the fact that when you selected Add Printer > Windows, your mums computer did not appear after selecting the workgroup. A solution could be to check what workgroup name is set in her Windows and ensure your Mac is set to the same workgroup name (set via the WINS section of the Advanced network settings.
For an easier fix you could try the SAMBA method again, but this time I suggest you try the following syntax.
    smb://IP Address of Mums Computer/Sharename
    Some other things to check...
    1. Make sure the printer is shared by mums computer and ensure a guest can access it.
    2. Ensure the share name is short (about 8 characters) and contains no spaces.
    3. Check that your Epson driver will work when shared by a PC. Some Mac printer drivers will only work when connected directly to the Mac via USB (this is the case with a number of Canon drivers). In this case, you need to use an alternate driver based on CUPS, such as the Gutenprint driver set. These will work across a network and a cross-platform share.
    Hope this helps you...

  • Report only printing first page.

    Please Help.
After editing a report to fit onto a regular 8 1/2 * 11 inch page, the first page is all that is printing. I have tried many things yet nothing seems to work. The old report printed to a large bar type page on an old dot-matrix printer. I have set the new report to run to a smaller page on a laser printer. All fields/frames print perfect, except for not printing next page. Please help if you can.
    Thank you
    Rachel

    Hi Chris,
Which ALV technique will you use to print out?? (LIST, GRID or something else...).
    Please give us more information.
    Thanks,

Hello...I'm using Crystal Reports version that comes with Visual Studio 2003 (I think its Crystal 9).
I have a report that has totals at the end. All is fine if the report is less than a page. If the report is more than a page...then the report only produces a page and I don't get anything else (i.e., missing detail and of course the totals).
    Kind regards,
    Paul

I figured out my own problem after comparing to some reports that worked the way I wanted. My "SeparatePages" parm was set to True...changed to False and all is good.

  • Can't print Canon LBP3050 with Airport Express

I'm using a MBP 13" and printing with a Canon LBP 3050. When directly plugging the USB into my MBP, the printing works totally fine. I'm using the CAPT v3.40 driver and it supports the printer. When I plug the USB into the Airport Express, it recognizes the printer and I am able to set up the printer fine. Everything seems perfectly well until I start printing. The printer utility would appear after the page seems to be sent and there would be a "Communication Error". It asks if my printer is on and the cable is properly connect, and I checked everything. I even followed the troubleshooting page (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1253#) and nothing solves this problem. Has anybody found a way to work around this problem, or do I need to find a printer on the Apple site (the Apple Online Store HK only has one printer available for purchase)?

The Canon UFR2 and CAPT printer drivers for OS X do not work when the printer is connected to the USB port of an Airport device, or even a 3rd party print server. This has always been a limitation of the Canon UFR2 and CAPT for OS X.
FWIF - The Canon inkjets work fine with the printer connected to the Airport USB port.
