Adobe Acrobat Outlook 2013 Add-in inactive

I have version 10.1.8.24 of Acrobat Standard and after installing it on my Win8 Pro w/Office 2013 I do not see any of the Adobe tabs in MS Office products.  Outlook shows the add-in as "inactive" and I do not know how to activate it.
Any assistance is appreciated.
Thank you.

  • Acrobat XI Outlook 2013 add-on crashes Outlook

Acrobat XI Outlook 2013 add-on crashes Outlook each time I try to convert an email to PDF,
I did not see a relevant answer to this specific problem in the forums.
Of course I can print an email to acrobat PDF but I believe a fix or an update from Adobe is overdue.
I had to disable the add-on in the meantime.
Otherwise PDF maker in the right click context menu works fine.
Windows 7 64 bit, Acrobat XI Pro 11.0.5
    Anybody has an idea ?

    Have you tried the following?
Launch Office 2013 as Administrator, i.e. right click on Office icon and select 'Run as Administrator'.
    or
Try creating a new user account on Windows to see if the same issue occurs.

    Hi Narasimha prasad2,
Based on the description, the context menu for the flagged contact doen't work in Outlook. I am tring to rerpoduce this issue however failed.
I suggest that you check the state of the add-in first to see wether the add-in was loaded successfully.

  • Is there an Outlook 2013 add-in?

Is there an Outlook add-in,similar to the one for Send Now? Hoping to use it with Outlook 2013.  Thanks!

    Hi
We hope to have the Outlook plugin for Adobe Send ready soon. For now, you can access Adobe Send through your web browser or through the latest version of Adobe Reader.

  • Custom Save Dialog and Logic in Outlook 2013 Add in

I'm creating an addin for outlook 2013. I've got it all setup and such but I'm not sure how to achieve my objective. My boss wants a button on a ribbon that is shown during compose, read, and similar methods and either opens a save dialog or just
saves it automatically without the dialog. The catch is that I want to add custom actions for this special save button, where it will rename the file and save it in a specific folder. All based on the sender's domain and address, the date, whether there are
attachments, and such. Either it will save the attachments as well or I could have a separate button to do the same with any attachments; archiving them and renaming them a specific way based on date, file type, sender, etc.
How can I implement this? I assume it's in the method showMessage_Click. Which leads me to another question, what is the showMessage_Click even from? It is what causes my messagebox to pop up when you click the button, but assuming I want a save
dialog or something else rather than a messagebox, do I still use showMessage_Click or is there another XXX_Click method to use for when clicking the button that would be more appropriate for my goals.
Also is there a list somewhere showing all of these different event methods?
Thanks for any help and guidance you can offer.

    Hello,
It looks like you need to replace the standard SaveAs dialog with your own. To get this implemented you may repurpose the Save buttons on the ribbon, so each time the user clicks to save the item your custom dialog window is displayed. See Temporarily
Repurpose Commands on the Office Fluent Ribbon for more information.
If you need to implement this as a separate feature - just add custom controls to the Ribbon UI (aka Fluent UI). See Walkthrough: Creating a Custom Tab
by Using the Ribbon Designer to get started quickly.

  • Adobe Acrobat & Reader Browser Add-ON

    Hello Forum,
I have both, the Reader and the Acrobat (Writer) installed on my system.
When I open a document im my Browser - IE - the pdf is shown within the acrobat plugin.
That means: I see a lot of buttons etc. (Acrobat specific) on the browser. So I have a lot of funcionalities etc.
But I want to open pdf documents in my browser only (and ONLY !) with the Adobe READER IE Add-ON. I just want to read the document.
    Under Tools-Internetoptions-Programs-Manager_Add-Ons
the Reader plug-in *.dll file is changed to a Acrobat_Writer specific *.dll file.
If possible I want to modify this without deinstalling the Application.
I thought something like registry key modification or something like this?... Maybe another solution...
    thnx a lot and peace

Particular Solution for USERS with approx. similar problems:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat hat two reg-keys:
    Exe and
Distiller (If Acrobat and Reader is installed)
    The entry of the Key
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe is the location of the Executable, wich starts the Application is:
"C:\Progfiles\..\Adobe\Acrobat\..\Acrobat.exe" (Adobe Acrobat) I chaged this to
    "C:\Progfiles\..\Adobe\reader\..\AcroRd32.exe" (Adobe Reader)
    Delete the Second KEY:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Distiller
Now, it's not possile to open (with) the Acrobat. everytime the Reader opens.
Even if I try to open a pdf-document with:
right mouse-click and "Open with Adobe ACROBAT 8"
    The reader opens everytime.
    The only sour note:
Even the C:\..\Acrobat.exe open the Reader (C:\..\AcroRd32.exe)..
I think this is a Registry stuff, too.

  • Outlook 2013 add-in will not stay enabled

Everytime Outlook 2013 (windows) closes the add-in for iCloud changes to disabled. The only way I can sync calendars etc, is to manually enable the iCloud Add-in EVERY TIME I open Outlook.  What's up with that? It used to work perfectly. I have been through all the help screens and nothing works.

    Hello EFBenzal
If you are using Windows 8.1, then check out the article below to resolve the issue of iCloud becoming disable within Outlook.

  • Remove unwanted Adobe Acrobat Create PDF Add-on

I just can't believe Mozilla allows this!
I installed Acrobat XI Pro for Mac and without my permission Adobe installed a Firefox add-on called "Create PDF". I can't uninstall, remove or delete it. I can only disable it. It's the only add-on that has no remove button. How can this be?
I also can't find the extension itself, in order to delete it. I tried everything, but the damn thing just can't be deleted.
I'm very disturbed that something like this is possible! Is Adobe paying Mozilla?

Unlike with Extensions and Themes (complete) the Plugins like Java, Flash player and other Adobe examples and such are not actually installed in Firefox but are on system. Firefox just scans and found compatible Plugins and is making use of them. This explains why there is no Remove button and only Activate/Deactivate which tells Firefox to make use of that Plugin on system or not.
See in '''about:plugins''' where they are located.

  • MSWord items that crash Adobe Acrobat 9.0 add-in (Create PDF function)

I just want to include a tip I discovered after two days of troubleshooting a colleague's MS-Word (2007 - docx) document. I tried going through the forums to see if anyone else has posted this.
Obviously, my colleague would try to use the Acrobat add-in within Word through the "Create PDF" button. But doing so causes MS-Word to crash. The crash involves the dialog box for sending an error report to MS (which I cancel).
I then attempted this on another PC and got the same result.
Another colleague on the support team suggested trying to convert only sections of the document to try and pinpoint the issue to an element within the document. The result of trial and error pointed me to a particular graphics element on Page 11 of the 46 page document. The graphics element was composed of 4 clock diagrams that were made up of smaller elements (arrowheads and lines for the clock-hands, separate textboxes for the numbers 1 - 12 on each circular clockface, etc.) Deleting the whole graphic allowed the document to be converted to PDF.
I then reverted to the original document and clicked on the graphic. I was about to investigate if there was a particular element within the grouped graphic that caused the crash, but, by luck, I was able to discover that just by ungrouping the graphic into its elemental components "Create PDF" was able to render the PDF successfully.
Perhaps this is something to try in the future should anyone run into this issue. I hope this helps someone else.

It may be something that Adobe did not catch in the way that MS did the graphic processing (and to be sure MS does not always do things by the book). It may have been fixed. I note that you only have AA9.0. The current version is AA9.3.4, so an update might be in order. Potentially that would resolve the problem.
In any case, I have found the graphic processing done by WORD 2007 to be strange. Taking the same file to WORD 2003 (saving to a DOC format if required) has no problem with the conversion. So there are likely problems from both MS and Adobe.

  • Outlook 2013 add-in disappears on minimize or x out

    Hi All,
I have a user that whenever she minimizes or x outs of the outlook program the outlook add-in menu item disappears from the ribbon.  If we do File - Exit and reopen outlook it is there again.  If we X out to close the program and reopen
it does not show up.   Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

    Hi,
This could be caused by several reasons. Sometimes, an add-in will be disabled due to the conflicts with another installed add-in. Please have a check and see if the user has any other add-ins installed, try to disable them then verify again.
If issue doesn't persist after disabling all other add-ins, then try to enable these add-ins one at a time, to find out which one is causing this issue.
Also, make sure if this add-in is compatible with the current version of Outlook.

  • Adobe acrobat connect pro add-in

    where do I find it?

You obviously have a good reason for believing that there is one... can you point us at the information and we may be able to take it further...

  • I cannot email attachment directly from Acrobat to Outlook 2013.

I get the message "there is no default mail client"  But outlook is correctly set as default.  can email from other apps, just not acrobat. I have differnt computers with different systems and each cannot email to outlook.
Using Acrobat 11 Standard to Outlook 2013 64bit under Win 8.1 Pro 64bit and Acrobat 9 to Outlook 2013 64bit under Win 7 Pro 64bit.  Also, Acrobat 11 to Outlook 2013 64 bit under Win 7 Pro 64 bit. The common element is Outlook 2013, but Microsoft Tech says it is a Adobe issue since other apps work.  Was using Acrobat 9 to Outlook 2003 32bit under Win XP 32bit.
Is there an issue with 32 bit Acrobat to 64bit Outlook 2013?

Yes.  I discovered that. So I upgraded Acrobat to v11.0.5 on that computer.  I have 2 computers in my network, both run Win 7 Pro 64bit; Acrobat 11.0.5; Outlook 2013 64bit.  Each computer will not email, returned the message "there is no default mail client". (Each computer has a separate license for Acrobat, Outlook 2013)
Edited the registry in 1 computer, it worked. This computer was running Acrobat 11.0.0 at the time of the registry edit.  Acrobat upgraded automatically to v11.0.5 it corrupted the registry files, Outlook would not open until it rejected the Acrobat Add-in "Acrobat PDFMaker Office COM Addin".  This happened in both computers. I then edited the registry in the other computer and it worked.
Each computer boots up to "there is no default mail client" pop up. Ran repair in both Acrobat and Outlook, didn't work. No issue other than the Addins corrupts Outlook 2013. Each computer has the same issue.  Home computer with Win 8 Pro 64bit, Acrobat 11.0.5, Outlook 2013 64bit, with Addins and registry edit, is working fine.
The issue seems to be 32bit Acrobat conflicts with 64bit Outlook 2013. What does the Addin do?

  • How do i REMOVE the Adobe Acrobat Plugin.

Every time i click [Disable] then restart FF, it's back, running again.
I do not want Acrobat, as i would rather use Foxit Reader.
The only button in the Addons manager is [Disable] there does not seem to be a [Uninstall] or [Delete this plugin] option. Nor does adobe acrobat appear in Add/Remove Programs in Control panel.
Nor did i even install it in the first place. (Must have come packed with another app)
Either way, i want it gone. Please tell me where FF Stores it's addons, and which file to delete to get rid of this infuriating nuisance.

Tried the app that you linked to, no use, bloody acrobat still came back.

Where does FF Store the addon itself? because obviously Adobe are too inept to make a proper plugin remover that actually works.

  • Excel freezing and Outlook losing Add-in

I am having two issues on a workstation running Office 2013 home and business. The first issue is Excel randomly freezing when opening spreadsheets, it's random and will open two spreadsheets ok and freeze on the third and vice versa, there's nothing wrong
with the spreadsheets. When it freezes it gets to the point where half the excel interface is loaded and locks up (it isn't not responding in Task Manager, still says running) and I have to close Excel and try again.
    - Tried full Office repair using online recovery
    - Tried different user profile
    - Tried opening spreadsheets from a network location and local drive
    - There are no errors in the Event logs regarding this at all
    - Disabled AV software, all Windows updates installed, still happens in Excel safe mode, disabled all excel add-ins
    - Run full virus scan, gone through and closed all the processes on the machine that I can, tested excel after stopping each process
    - Run full windows memory diagnostic and no errors reported
    - Computer is HP workstation only couple of months old, all latest drivers and updates
    - The workstation is running Windows 7 x64 Pro, Trend Micro AV software, part of a SBS 2011 domain.
The other issue I am having on the same machine and reason I ask the question here instead of creating a new thread is because I thought they may be related. We use an Outlook 2013 add-in but on this machine every time we close Outlook the add-in disappears
we actually have to go back in to Outlook each time and re-enable it and it works ok.
I can only think of two options one is complete removal and reinstall of Office which I don't think will fix the issue or complete format/reinstall of Windows which will be very time consuming and would rather not do.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Thanks a lot for the detailed information you gave, it was very helpful. After read though your post, could you help me on some questions:
    For Excel crash:
    Questions:
Is this the only workstaion which having this issue?
Is this issue happen on particular spreadsheet?
What is the cpu model of this workstation?
Was this issue starting suddenly? If so what has been changed on the server?
Some steps I would suggest to try:
Clean boot your workstation and try to open the spreadsheet again.
Delete temp files of current user.
    Disable hardware graphics acceleration
File: Options: Advanced: Disable hardware graphics acceleration.
Also please collect some information for me and send the information through mail to: [email protected]

Click on the Run button (recommended) to start the diagnostic process.
Follow the onscreen instructions to run the diagnostic on this computer, or on a different computer.
    For Outlook
    Questions:
Is this issue only happening on this workstation?
Is the Group Policy set in your domain to control 3rd party loading behavior?
Does Outlook start up slow? (Sometimes if Outlook start time exceeded threshold, add-in will be disabled)
Some steps I would suggest to try:
Change registry key under: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins(name_of_the_addin), set load behavior to 3, which specifies that the add-in is loaded at startup. For more information, see
    LoadBehavior Values.
    Delete registy key under: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\outlook\resiliency\disableditems\
Let me know the result, so we can check further, thank you.
