Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 License Problems
We have successfully installed Acrobat Pro 9.3 on several Windows XP machines, but on others when we try to install we get an error stating that we have an invalid serial number. It is an enterprise serial number, and like I said does work for most machines.
Any ideas on why the license works for some but not others.
They are setup the same. The weird thing is I can install Adobe Acrobat 8 just fine on the machines that will not allow me to install 9.

Adobe Acrobat Pro license problem
I had an Adobe Acrobat Pro license and now the program is asking for my serial and does not recognize it. I have entered in trial mode and I can get assistance directly from Adobe and cannot access the chat. What should I do?
Jmmussat, no, it is NOT a browser problem, I have tried several now.
I suspect it could be very bad luck and not a purposeful block so customers like me, with old licenses, will be forced to purchase. -

Adobe Acrobat Pro XI problems printing PDFs created from AutoCAD.
Just installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and am having problems printing PDFs created from AutoCAD. Printing other PDF created by MS Word works well. Had a similar problem in an earlier version of Pro. The fix I figure out then was to print the PDF file as another PDF. Using the second PDF to print to a plotter typically worked. It does not work for Adoabe Acrobat Pro XI.

Adobe Acrobat Pro Printing Problem
Hello everyone I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5 and when I print a file I have some issue with the design elements. I have a american flag and has some areas which expand. Below is a picture of what the file should look like:
No what happens is the file prints like this:
Please not the expanded white area in between the red stripes on the american flag. This may vary from file to file, but I cannot have this since these will be sent out to a customer for approval. I have tried Adobe Illustrator, and have no problem with the file. I have saving a PDF from Adobe Illustrator and then printing in Adobe Acrobat Pro for proper color. Any suggestions would be great! I can provide more information also. Thanks!Without actually having the digital assets to look at, it is a real cr*pshoot to guess as to what is going on here.
What is the pseudo-American flag in term of object types? Vector, raster, what? Perhaps you can point us to the objects to examine?

Problem with pdf-printing in Adobe Acrobat Pro
Hi,
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.3.
PDF-printing has always worked great but suddenly there is some kind of problem.
After printing a excel-document from "Print to pdf" built-in function in MacOS OR Adobes Printer I have corruptet pdf-files when showing them in Adobe Reader/Acrobat, but the MacOS Preview-software shows them correct.
So, there cannot be any problem with the printing, but the local preview on my computer using Reader or Acrobat. I dont even use the Myriad font in the document, I use Verdana. You say you're using Verdana but you're not. The error message clearly shows you're using MyriadPro Bold.
You probably recently installed the Mac OS X 10.6.7 update which has a bug with OpenType PostScript fonts like MyriadPro Bold. Either use Verdana or another TrueType or PostScript font, or revert to Mac OS X 10.6.6.

Problems in Windows 8 creating PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5
I am running Windows 8 with the latest version of MS Office (version 14) and Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5. I was not having any problems making/printing PDF documents until about 30 days ago. The only things that I can think of that have changed during this time period is 1) I updated my Office Suite to version 14 from the previous version and, most recently, 2) my Adobe Acrobat Reader program was automatically updated to the latest version. I ended-up uninstalled Adobe Reader becuase the new program became my default for openning all Adobe PDF files, even when I tried to force my computer to use Adobe Acrobat Pro as the default (becuase doing so allows me to edit docments with features not available in the free Reader version). When I go to print a Word document, for example, to Adobe Acrobat, the process stalls/stops at the point where you are supposed to choose a location to print/safe the new PDF document file. All I get is the Save-As Screen with most of the buttons and folder tree blank (see example below). After 5-10 seconds, "not responding" shows up in the title of the Save-As Screen and I have to click the "X" box in the upper right corner to abort. This problem seems to have first started when trying to print pictures from the Windows picture viewer. After a while long, I noticed that the same problem occured when printing from my internet browser (Firefox), but I coudl still print from Word or Excel. Now, as of the last couple of days, I can't print from any program except the basic Paint software program. I think this may actually be a Windows issue because when trying to toublshoot this problem, I re-installed Adobe Acrobat Pro and it did not help. I also tried making PDF documents using the free PrimoPDF software and had the exact same problem. I have no idea where to go from here. All I know is that I desperately need to create PDF documents and cannot! Please help!!
You're asking a lot of ancient Acrobat to work with an Office that never existed when it was made. "Just updated my office suite" is a massive change, and Window 8 didn't exist at that time either...

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.2 blurry shadow problem
Hi all,
This problem is very strange and just happened to me last week.
When I opened 1 PDF file, the problem didn't occured, but when I opened 2 or more PDF, this problem occured.
This is the normal file
Open this image to have visual picture : http://140.116.5.200/~tisa/adobe_error/test.jpg
But after I scroll the PDF file (using the scroll in the right side) and then stop, slowly but sure, the PDF screen and font start to get blurry and blurry (you can see there is a diagonal line from upper left to the bottom right screen, the left screen is blurrer than the right screen)
Open this image2 to have visual picture : http://140.116.5.200/~tisa/adobe_error/test2.jpg
And if I highlight some of the text and scroll the mouse down, the screen will become unbelieable blurry, just like this.
Open this image3 to have visual picture : http://140.116.5.200/~tisa/adobe_error/test3.jpg
Thank you so much in advanced for helping... Already looking the answer for several days without any solution.
What should I do ?
NB : I have try to uninstall and install this software but it still happened.
NB2 : I tried to install Acrobat Reader (free) and I got the same problem
NB3 : I changed my Adobe CS4 to CS5 several weeks agao. I don't know if this is the problem.So.. If we want to control the "hardware graphics acceleration", should it be done inside the Adobe Acrobat Pro ?
If yes, which part of option should we changed ?
If not, can someone tell me which way to setting this one ?
Do anybody have other input ? This problem makes me crazy
Thank you so much in advanced. -
I purchased Design Standard CS6 the entire package. I downloaded and installed but I was continually having problems with Adobe Acrobat Pro. I tried updating to the newest version but it only made the problems worse (acrobat was super slow and constantly not responding). So i decided to try to uninstall and then reinstall the program. Well I uninstalled, and then attempted to reinstall ONLY the adobe acrobat pro but it says my serial number (which is for design standard) will not work. Since Acrobat Pro is included in the suite, i thought this wouldnt be a problem. Is there anyway to get around this without uninstalling the entire design standard and reinstalling everything? I only need to reinstall acrobat pro.
You need to reinstall Acrobat the the Creative Suite, you cannot download it is a separate application and install it that way because it will be looking for a serial number relative to being a singly purchased application.

Problem with Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended version 9.3.4 reading Inventor 2009
I would like to be able to generate 3D PDF files from Autodesk Inventor CAD models (e.g. .iam files) using Adobe Acrobat Pro Extended. I am constrained to use Inventor 2009. When I originally installed Acrobat Pro Extended, I was able to make this work after installing the IMPORT3D update at:
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4073
Recently (9/5/2010), I updated Acrobat Pro Extended to version 9.3.4. I believe that following that update, I lost the ability to read in Inventor 2009 files. Acrobat Pro Extended now gives the error messages:
"Exception has been raised" followed by:
"Acrobat could not open 'file' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then print the document to Adobe PDF."
This is exactly what happened when I first installed Acrobat Pro extended and before I installed the IMPORT3D update mentioned above. I tried re-installing that update but now the installer gives the error message:
"No qualifying products found to apply this update."
Note that Inventor 2009 does allow one to "Save Copy As" to PDF format, but this just creates a 2D PDF snapshot of the current model view -- same for print to pdf.
I suppose one thing to try is removing Acrobat Pro Extended and then re-installing without the 9.3.4 update, but with the IMPORT3D update -- but if that is necessary, then I won't be able to take advantage of any further updates (e.g. security updates) to Acrobat, which seems like a bad situation.
Has anyone else had this problem? Or is it just me?I may have figured out what was causing my problem with conversion of Inventor 2009 to 3D PDF. After playing around with a number of inventor files, I discovered that the conversion worked fine when there were no references to external files. For example a .ipt file (part file) seemed to convert fine. I believe the problem was that on the form one obtains with Edit->Preferences->Convert to PDF->Autodesk Inventor->Edit Settings->Import->Assembly, the check box for "use root file directory" was NOT checked. Oddly, this is the default and I'm pretty sure I tried setting the conversion options to the default. In any case, I now seem to be able to perform the conversion of Inventor 2009 to 3D PDF so this problem is solved I guess.
