ADOBE Acrobat Pro 9 Pro - Says Upgraded Version but did not purchase as upgrade

I just installed a brand new supposedly unopened ADOBE Acrobat 9 Pro.  I installed it with serial number but now it says that the serial number I entered indicates it is for an upgrade version of ADOBE Acrobat 9 Pro.  The sales ad said nothing about an upgrade and needing prior version serial number and neither does not box itself.   I can't find a phone number for customer service.  This follow a previous installation of the trial of ADOBE Acrobat 11 but first time using I was adding comments to review a 50 page document and whole thing was lost.   Help!?

To be very clear, Adobe hasn't sold licenses either for new installations or upgrades to Acrobat 9 in a number of years and it is most highly unlikely that you made this purchase through an authorized Adobe reseller. Adobe Customer Support cannot assist you with this. You need to go back to whoever sold this to you. When purchasing licenses for old, out-of-date versions of software and/or from non-authorized resellers, buyer beware! There are quite a few pirates and scammers out there, especially on eBay and even as third party resellers via Amazon!

    Ok, thanks for that. If the serial doesn't work, you will indeed need to contact Adobe. But here are some things to try first.
    1. Does it refer to a QUALIFYING PRODUCT? If so, enter the serial number of the OTHER product, not the one you just paid for.
    2. If you are copy/pasting the serial, try typing it. If you are typing it, try copy/pasting it.
    3. Make sure what you purchased matches what you downloaded. For instance, check you didn't buy Acrobat Standard and try to install Acrobat Pro. Or that you didn't buy a Mac product for use in Windows. And so on.

    That is correct Steelgrrl you will want to locate your installation media and copy the installation files to a USB drive on a computer which does have an optical drive.
    Alternately if you purchased from Adobe directly and choose the download option at the time of purchase then the download will be available under your account.  You can find more details at Find a download link on Adobe.com.

    Thanks a lot. I see ,it's available to download when the software at the time of purchase on the adobe ID.
    But in china ,in fact the company buy the license from the adobe agency.But the agency just give us the licence and the DVD disk copy,They do not let us know the adobe ID.

    Which signature style are you talking about?
    You can go ahead and try uninstalling and reinstalling it and see if that works for you .

    I have a purchased subscription for Adobe Acrobat Pro; however, it says that it is a trial and it is expired. I called into support and they said it was because I had multiple subscriptions under my account but there was a manual fix I could make to fix it.   • Adobe Acrobat Pro XI - Installs in Slovenian and Not In English Even Though English Selected At Inst

    Hello:
          I have downloaded, installed, opened, closed, removed, cleaned registry and reinstalled Acrobat Pro XI three times and each time it installs in Slovenian and not ENGLISH (North American). English was the language that I down loaded from the Adobe website and it was the language that was clearly selected for the INSTALL.  Unfortunately, it always loads Slovenian.  Is there a registry hack or some simple way to change the language to ENGLISH (North American), since I cannot read Slovenian?

    Please let us know if you are using Windows or Mac. If you are using Mac then you can try this step to fix the issue
    Open System Preferences. 
    Choose View > Language & Region or click the Language & Region icon.
    In the Languages pane, remove all other language leaving English (US). If you don't see your language, click the Add Language button.

  • Acrobat Pro XI is installed but is not shown as installed in CC (Mac)

    Every so often Acrobat Pro XI says that I am running a demo version although I have a CC subscription.  I 're-install' it and it remains in the pull down menu as installed for a day or two, then it shows up as not installed and offers me chance to install it again although I am happilly using it.  This goes on and on and on.  Anyone else seen this?  Did anyone fix it?

    Well Adobe installed CC with my installation and I haven't seen any sense in turning it off mainly because I get a message saying the CC will be updated and then that usually means that one of the Apps will be updated.
    I've looked at step 2 and if some reason Acrobat stops working, I'll do that.  However it was sort of ignoring everything until the Adobe servers because thinking this was a demo version.
    Annual subscriptions?  But you still pay monthly don't you?  Hence when you get hacked and Adobe holds on to your credit card information, the hackers get you login, password and credit card.
    Thanks.  We'll call this finished but I am not going to uninstall Acrobat and lose my setup.

    From what I understand about your issues is that your iPad will currently not turn on.  In attempt to resolve this issue please follow the steps in order below:
    Resolution
    If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
    If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
    If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
    If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
    If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
    Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
    If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
    If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
    If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
    Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
    If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
    If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
    If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

    You purchased and Upgrade copy of Acrobat which has this requirement instead of a Full copy of Acrobat which does not have that requirement.  You need to go back to your Reseller or Adobe and explain that you purchased the incorrect version.
