Adobe acrobat reader 9 problem saving forms and copying photos

I used adobe acrobat reader 6 at
work and I have a form that I save with new data. I am also able to copy text and photos using version 6.
When I try to save edited forms and copy files from versiion 9 It wont allow me to do that.
Is their any way that I can copy text, photos and save forms in Adobe version 9?
When I try to save forms in version 9 it states that I am unable to save the form. When I try to copy text or photos it will not allow me to copy.

Are you talking about Reader or Acrobat. These are two different programs and Reader definitely has restrictions. Reader used to be called Acrobat Reader before version 6, but that has been gone a long time. The change was likely because of the confusion between Acrobat and Reader. The problems you indicate are suggestive of Reader, not of Acrobat.

    Hello,
I would like to inform you that not all the browsers and online PDF readers support copying text from a PDF. If you have opened the PDF online, please download PDF file to your computer and then open the file in Adobe Reader.
Please share a screenshot if the issue still persists.

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader problem

I have not been able to get Adobe Acrobat Reader to work on my phone. My company distributes instruction via pdf files, and I'd been taking my laptop with me on service calls. I still have to do that, because I can't access any .pdf file on my phone except the overly red introductory how-to blurb. One thing that stands out for me is that the app doesn't show up in my app list what so ever. It's listed when I find the 'manage applications' tab. I've tried to download the update, and still no functionality. I uninstalled the update, in hopes of being able to re-install. Is the apps list supposed to include the Adobe Acrobat reader in the list/grid, or am I supposed to only have to go to my list of downloads to get to .pdf's. The downloads list shows where I've tried to download the file, but it always says "download failed".
Am I doing something incorrectly, or is this something that I need to do a factory reset on the phone to rectify? I have the updated Verizon software, but haven't checked to see if there's anything to update to the operating system.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the only Adobe Reader from the Play Store that is from Adobe Systems multiple times.
Is there another setting besides the wifi/data connection option I need to change?
I've gone through the Settings menu to the Applications menu and selected Manage Applications. The Adobe Reader is listed under "All", and when I select that particular app, it's indicating that version 10.1.1 is on the phone. The only options available are to back out of this tab in the menu, or selecting Force Stop.
I suspect that in the first few days of having the phone and the "ooh look at mommy's new toy!" someone may have deleted or removed the app somehow, or otherwise caused some kind of disconnection or malfunction. Going back to the Play Store to try again, the Adobe Reader app only has "Open" or "Update" as options for downloading. I downloaded the update (again) and it is showing version 10.3.0, but the downloads are still failing.
What other little quirks and details am I missing as far as settings, updates, or menu selections? Or should I just back up my pictures and files, and reset the phone back to factory defaults and start over again?

  • Possible Adobe Acrobat Reader Problems?

I recently tried to bring up  up  a website that requires Adobe Acrobat Reader and he site stated it could not detect Acrobat Reader on my computer.  I went to the Adobe website, which listed reader 9.4  for OS X 10.4.11.  Is Adobe Reader similar to  Flash Player where Adobe is not Supporting Mac Power PC and you are not able to load the most recent Reader for your computer?  After loading from the Adobe site, I tried to mount the web page again.  This time I did not get the notification that it did not recognize Reader on my computer.  But it produced a dark screen with an in-progress circle rotating in the middle of the screen.  After 5 minutes the web page still had mounted and I started wondering what the cause might be.  Is there a later version I can load that will support OS X 10.4.11?

    Hi Darrell, you guessed it...
Is Adobe Reader similar to  Flash Player where Adobe is not Supporting Mac Power PC and you are not able to load the most recent Reader for your computer?
    Nothing for PPC.
Might see if PDF plug-in helps...

  • Preview / Adobe Acrobat reader problems

    Hi,
My Mac was working fine until two days ago when I installed Adobe CS3.
Before, when I tried to download PDFs from my university intranet, Preview would open the files within Safarai. If I saved a PDF and opened it later, again, Preview worked fine.
But CS3's Adobe Acrobat kept crashing when I tried to open files in it, and I couldn't access any PDFs posted on the from the university intranet. Also, Adobe Acrobat kept crashing when I tried to open it directly. Photoshop gave me an error, but left me "ignore".
    I reinstalled CS3. Same problems.
I UN-installed CS3. Same problem. Now when I try to open a PDF from the intranet, I get either a blank box where the PDF should be viewed within Safari, or a message saying something about Adobe not being able to locate something. But Adobe should have been uninstalled and I'd hoped Preview would be the default again??
Please does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Hi again,
For some reason, yesterday the Library folder seemd to be empty. Today there was an Adobe plug-in file in there, so I deleted it. I also deleted the Adobe folder from the Library. As far as I can tell, I have no more files relating to Adobe on my Mac.
However, I'm still having the same problem -- I can't open PDFs from my university's intranet. Preview does not seem to be the default any more.
However, if I click on a PDF that I already have saved, it DOES open Preview.
Please does anyone have an ideas? I need to get this worked out this weekend before I go away and so I can access files over the Christmas holidays.
    Thank you.

  • Problems after upgrading the Adobe Acrobat Reader

    Hi All!!
I have created a Web Dynpro Abap which displays an Adobe Interactive Form.
Initially, my version of Adobe Acrobat Reader was 6.0, and runs perfectly.
Today, I have upgraded my version to the 8.1, and the form is displayed but with all the fields blank. I have debugged and the information is sent to the Form.
One of my partners has still the version 6.0 and runs perfectly, and another partner has the version 8.1, and has the same problem like me.
Somebody knows what is the cause of this?
    Thanks and regards,
    Manuel Míguez.

    Hi Satya!
On the fist part of your post, I can´t see any data, but I can see the label of the fields.
    On the second part:
    1. The form is DDIC based.
    2. I think is WAS 7.0 SP 12.
    3. Yes, is from the backend. I send the data by means of the node context automatically generated on the Web Dynpro ABAP when I indicate the form to the UI element Interactive Form.
    4. Is a print form.
I hope I have been clear enough.
    Thanks and regards,
    Manuel.

  • Problem with adobe acrobat/reader - please help!

    Hello,
My acrobat reader was fine and I was able to open the pdf files sent to me, then suddenly it just wouldn't open anything at all.  It went into open mode and just stayed there, and wouldn't let me close it.  Then I got a message saying "there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader.  Please exit and try again".  I've done this lots of times and it still isn't working.
I would be very grateful for any help or suggestions.  I have windows 7, and as I said its all been fine up until now.
    Thanks.
    mspryce.

This is the Acrobat forum, not the Reader forum. You should check the reader forum. In the meantime, if you are not running AR9.3 or so, you should update. Prior versions before 9 are not designed for Win7 and that might be your issue -- you gave no indication of version.

  • .PDF image's blacks look grey in Adobe Acrobat Reader

I need to save my design as a CMYK .PDF file and I have created the image in Photoshop CS6 in RGB, changed the image mode to CMYK, for black used C:40 M:40 Y: 20 K:100, and when saved the file as a Photoshop .PDF- it opens in Adobe Acrobat Reader looking washed out and grey. I only used three colors (black, white, and red) and the black is the most noticeably greyed out. The red also looks slighty washed out. But the weird thing is- when I open the .PDF in Photoshop, all the colors look right.
I've tried googling this and messing around in Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat Reader all day and just can't come up with a solution.
I don't know a lot about this kind of stuff so I'm really lost. I really need the file to be the right colors in .PDF. Please, can anyone help me?
Below is a comaprison image of the design .PDF file opened in Photoshop versus opened up in Adobe Acrobat Reader:
This is truly driving me crazy.

Thanks Viking, I was hoping to get some suggestions on how to go about creating PDF's from OSX (Quartz) that will look acceptable in the "default" PDF reader of clients and colleagues. Most are likely to be some version of Adobe so I'm wondering what others do in this situation.
I've tried using the PDF resident fonts and they still look quite "blocky and jagged" on Adobe Reader. They still print out fine - it's just the screen rendering in Adobe is sub-par.
I've sent a version of the doc in Word to a colleague who printed it to PDF on his PC and it come back looking much better on my version of Adobe Reader and quite good in Preview. Admittedly the version I PDF'd in OSX looked better on Preview.
So if you have a bunch of potential readers of PDF's what's the best approach to get them to render "acceptably" on screen? At this stage it would seem the solution is to NOT use a Quartz driven PDF tool (ie avoid any of the native Mac apps) and buy Adobe Acrobat or a Windows PC to produce PDF's from?
I get the feeling I must be missing something basic here? I'm not looking for publishing quality output, just a PDF where the fonts dont look flaky when rendered onscreen outside a Quartz environment.

  • Is Adobe Acrobat Reader the same as Adobe Reader?

Hi. I just got a new Mac and don't know how to use it yet. When I tried to view my utility bill online, it said I needed  Adobe Acrobat Reader. I found and installed Adobe Reader. What's the difference? I still cannot view my utility bill (yes, I restarted my computer.) Thank you.

    What exactly means "cannot"?

  • Hi I've a big problem with adobe acrobat reader XI pro and I hope you can help me. The problem is; when I past copied text from some pdf books (not all of them) it past symbols only! wherever I past it! and even if I coped that text from another pdf reade

    Hi
I've a big problem with adobe acrobat reader XI pro and I hope you can help me.
The problem is; when I past copied text from some pdf books (not all of them) it past symbols only! wherever I past it! and even if I coped that text from another pdf reader (adobe pdf reader, internet browsers, ...etc.).
This problem started to happen since yesterday when I installed adobe acrobat reader XI pro to try it before I buy it, and before that when I was using the free adobe pdf reader I was totally able to copy any text from any pdf and past it anywhere with nothing wrong.
    What can I do?
    thank you a lot.

There is no product called Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro. There is
    - Adobe Acrobat Pro ($$)
    - Adobe Reader (free)
Which do you have? And are you a programmer?

  • There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running please exit and try again. (0:521)

There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running please exit and try again. (0:521)
Although I have found other threads in this forum relating to this error - none of the fixes appear to work. I've not found precisely the same error number (0:521), might I need a different fix for this? Has anyone else had the same error?
Just to note, this appears to be an issue with Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7 while viewing pdfs 'in-browser' i.e. using the plugin. Other versions of IE on other machines and FF on the same machine work fine on the same pdfs. It also works if you right click the pdf, download and view it in Acrobat Reader 'locally'.
Any help greatly appreciated, I'm stumped.

We were getting the same error on a Win 7 machine which had Acrobat 7 (running in compatability mode) and Reader X installed.  When the user was trying to open the link from an email the error 'There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat.....(0:521) would appear and the pdf would not load.
Investigating the problem I can across an article to uncheck the option "Display PDF in browser" (in the application choose Edit -> Preferences -> Internet).  Undertaking this procedure in Acrobat Reader X however, I could not uncheck this and the path the app was showing was for Acrobat 7!?!
Therefore, opened Acrobat 7 and undertook the same procedure.  Unchecked the "Display PDF in browser" (in the application choose Edit -> Preferences -> Internet) which I was able to do, saved and closed the application.
Rechecked Acrobat X and the "Display PDF in browser" could be deselected and the path was now for ..\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe
Retried the original email with the link to the pdf and it now opens without error.
Not too sure if this will help but just thought I would share.

  • "there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. if it is running please exit and try again. (523.523)

We are getting the following error "there is a problem with adobe acrobat/reader. if it is running please exit and try again. (523.523)" and a gray screen appears (Image not viewable) with multiple users. We are using Adobe Reader XI (11.0.05) and (11.0.06). The current workaround is to log off the website and log back in. Once the user logs back in, the pdf will appear. However it occurs anywhere from 2-8 times in a day. Anyone else having this issue or know of another workaround? Any suggestion with how to fix? Please help!!

    Hi Valerie,
Please let me know the version of Adobe Acrobat/Reader & operating system installed on your computer?
    Also, try this:-
    Launch Adobe Reader/Acrobat.
From the menu, choose Edit -> preferences -> General
Uncheck the option for "Enable Protected Mode at startup"
Restart the Adobe Reader and web browser.
    Regards,

  • The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again.OK. I followed the instruction and the problem still persists.

I got the following pop-up when I tried to open an online PDF file:
The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser.
Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again.
I tried many time, and it really doesn't work.
The plug-in I have is Adobe Acrobat 8.3.0.280

After I upgraded to Firefox 5, I had the same problem and I did a work around temporarily. I went the tools menu, then Add-ons, then clicked the "Plugins" on the left side (4th one down). I "disabled" both Adobe Acrobat 8.3.0.280 and Adobe Acrobat 10.1.0.536 using the disable buttons on the right side. PDF files now open again. However they are outside the actual browser.
My guess is that Adobe didn't catch up yet with a new update to work with Firefox or vice versa.
    Hope that helps!
    Michael
