Adobe acrobat text feild value changing when placing a cursor

Hi,
I am using adobe acrobat 9 for printing some letters.
I have a pdf document in that there are bundle of letters. In all letter there are some common text fields are existing.
Here issue is, the content of first letter values are appearing in all remaining letters common fields when i am placing cursor over the field.
While i am printing also the first letter are appearing in all letters.
But when i use adobe 5 the issue is not occurring.
Please help me, to get rid of this issue.
Thanks in advance.

I have pdf document, which consists of multiple letters. All letters have common content but the date field, name of client, address and control number are differ for individual letter.
Issue is, while i am looking at the letter everything is fine, i mean data is distinct for each letter. The i printed the pdf doc but all letters have same date field, name of client, address and control number which are as of first letter.
And when i click on text field the content of field is changing and showing same as first letter. When i remove cursor its again distinct.
For example in first letter date field is 15th feb 2015. In second letter its showing 16th feb 2015. But when i place cursor over the field its changing to 15th feb 2015. while i remove the cursor its showing 16th feb 2015. i printed the letter and its showing 15th feb 2015 in both letters.
Here the issue is not with the batch program which is placing the data to the doc. As this issue is coming while using Adobe Acrobat 5 to generate the pdf doc.
I am suspecting some properties change is causing this issue. i try to change one property of text field like back ground color, then the text field value is not changing and if i print also the value is not changing.
I cant share the pdf document as it has some confidential information.
please suggest me to resolve this issue.

I adobe acrobat 7.0 professional. When I open or save a PDF it reverts to Adobe Reader XI. How can I change that to the pro as it has far more editing options.

You may want to keep Reader. You may want to select Acrobat as your default, but be able to click on a PDF (or PDF link) to open in Reader when needed. There are likely some PDFs that will not open correctly in AA 7 because of new features folks add. Just because it opens in Reader XI does not mean it is in the new format, but just that is the default opening you have. To tell the type of file, you have to open the PDF and check the properties (ctrl-D) and check Description>PDF version.

  • "Type your password to allow Adobe Acrobat Pro to make changes" appears whenever launching

The message "Type your password to allow Adobe Acrobat Pro to make changes" now appears whenever I launch Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.2 on Mac OS 10.6.5. I am forced to enter my Mac password before every time I want to use Acrobat -- very frustrating. The problem did not used to happen. I think I recently installed an Acrobat update which might have caused this problem to happen. I am logged in as an admin user.
Here's what I tried. None of these things resolved the problem for me.
    Repair disk permissions.
    Restart the Mac.
Deleted the key called selfhealingfilename in SHinit.xml.
    How do I resolve this?

    Please try following steps:
    1. Repair your current Acrobat installation
    a. Launch Acrobat
    b. Go to Help->Repair Acrobat Installation
    c. Check all the components and press Continue
    Missing components will be repaired
    2. Now, update your Acrobat.
    Go to Help->Check for updates
Update your Acrobat to latest version i.e. 942
    3. Again , Launch Acrobat. Acrobat would ask credentials for the first time.
    4. Quit Acrobat and launch Acorbat again. Acrobat should not ask for credentials now and for all subsequent launches . Please reply if you see a different behavior.

  • Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.x crashes when adding large format jpegs

I am using Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.x and when I attempt to add a large scale jpg to a pdf, the program crashes.  Is there a limit to the photo size dimensions?  My smaller format photos (8.5 x 11) add just fine to the pdf, but when I attempt to add my larger (35" x 50") photos, the program crashes.

I recently ran into this with a bitmap in a 265 page document. I copied the bitmap to IrfanView and then back (I think that was the step -- I am already forgetting) and the copied it back. The problem went away. My student may look a bit more at the file -- I asked so I could give a more definitive comment here.
The result I had suggests that it is a problem in WORD or the bitmap that WORD was using. Why WORD can deal with it and not Acrobat, I am not sure. However, when printing to the Adobe PDF printer there was not a problem, just with PDF Maker.

    Hi Jim,
After my previous post, I also saw this behavior, so I decided to do another test.  If there are no decorations in the VI set to “Merge VI” (“Place VI Contents” for LabVIEW 8.5 and later) the controls and indicators are still not selected when dropping the VI from the Functions palette.  I checked this behavior back to LabVIEW 7.1 and it is consistent throughout that controls and indicators are not selected.  (Consequently, so is the fact that when decorations are present they don’t maintain the relative position).
I am not sure if this would be better suited as a CAR or product suggestion since it has been this way that long, but it does not appear to be related to the fact that decorations are present in the Merge VI.  It does seem strange that the decorations are selected though.  Looks like the best way to work around this is to drop the VI from the Controls palette.  Hopefully, it’s not too much of a hassle.

    Thanks for checking in.

This just means that not many people use this feature.  However, now that VIPM Professional makes it so easy to edit the palettes, I'm sure that others will start complaining that this doesn't work as they expect.
    > I am not sure if this would be better suited as a CAR or product suggestion

Just look up the functional specifications for this feature and see if all objects are supposed to be selected.
But seriously, is there a reason that only the FP decorations are selected?  Surely this would be documented somewhere, if there was a good reason for this current (IMO, buggy) behavior.

palette.  Hopefully, it’s not too much of a hassle.
That's not a reasonably work-around, IMO.  It doesn't make sense to drop Block Diagram components onto the Front Panel.  For example, this bug affects the JKI State Machine.  It doesn't make sense to drop a State Machine onto the Front Panel.
So, I'd file it as a CAR/bug, and then wait to see how LV R&D feels about it.  If they can find some valid reason for why Controls and Indicators shouldn't be selected, then that's fine (and hopefully someone will explain it to me).
    Thanks,

Looks like a Fillout box for a Form. If that is what it is, click on Edit form  under Forms menu. Click on the box while holding down control key  choose Properties when Properties box open look for Justification for side to side and top to bottom should be under Text Tab.

  • Adobe Acrobat X Locking up computer when trying to print

Problem just started recently. When I attempt to print from Adobe Acrobat X either on the print window or when it attempting to spool to printer it will lockup and not allow me to do anything. I have uninstalled and re-installed numerous times. Left it at original version and updated to latest versions but same thing. It will lock up. Any insight on this would be appreciated.
Computer is running windows 8.1 with latest updates
    8GB of ram and a 240GB SSD.

For me, changing to 'Same as my operating system' wouldn't work, as my operating system language is native and cannot be changed, and my CC set to "English (International)".
with A LOT of searching, contacting live support etc. and half year of not being able to do my job properly, this is what finally fixed the problem with every single Adobe and 3rd-party software when trying to print or save to Adobe PDF.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/11001-update-printing-issue.html
Turns out i didn't even have the registry folder "current":
         HKLM\Software\[wow6432node]\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\11.0\Language\current\
so i made one, and typed Acrobat.dll to the default value. Voila!
    Hope this helps!

  • Adobe Acrobat 9.5.5 freezes when printing to Amyuni Document Converter

We have two computers that have Adobe Acrobat 9.5.5 installed. Adobe itself seems to work just fine. However, there are two other pieces of software installed on the computer that use the Amyuni Document Converter 400 to convert or save files as a PDF. They have no problems right clicking on a file and using the "send to" feature in Windows to save a file into the application. However, when they open a PDF using Adobe Acrobat 9.5.5 and click File-> Save As and then select the program (example: eFileCabinet) that uses the document converter, Acrobat freezes and they have to use task manager to end the process. They are using Windows 7 Professional 64 bit with plenty of memory and CPU resources. The event log clearly shows Adobe Acrobat hanging. What, if anything, can we do? Any suggestions outside upgrading to the latest version of Acrobat? Have you seen anything like this?

    Hi,
the crash happens from the GUI too.
    acroread -toPostScript blur-crash.pdf
I can' see how I can attach a file to this message.  You can download a PDF which does this here: http://heim.ifi.uio.no/martingi/blur-crash.pdf The problem occurs only with certain PDF documents.  The problem seems to have to do with that drop shadow.
    $ acroread -v

  • Why does scale change when placing snapshot from pdf document?

IDCS3: I cut a furniture detail from a pdf document with the "snapshot" tool. I place this image, which includes text, into an InD document. The scale is huge! I do not know how much to reduce to get it to the exact same scale as it was in the pdf. In addition, the quality diminishes when placed in InD. The document size of the pdf document is A4 - that of the InD document is A3. Thanks!

Why not place the original pdf (vector & raster, I assume) and crop to the area you'd like - retaining the vector & raster, rather than use a screen shot (raster).

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro: Possible to change color of drawn lines / polygons? How?

In working with Adobe Acrobat Pro --editing PDFs, is it possible to change the color of lines and polygons that are under the comments section. I would like to have lines and polygons of 3 maybe 4 different colors on the thing that I am working on..  Is this possible?  How?

Press Ctrl+E to open the Properties bar and you'll be able to change the

  • Dimensions changes when placing image in Illustrator

I had a problem while placing an image created in photoshop into illustrator, dimensions of the image was changed in Illustrator (shorter in hight and longer in width). My image size in Photoshop is 30.6 cm x 6 cm, Resolution: 300 pixels/inch, it changed in illustrator to 30.4969 cm x 6.0029 cm.
After few tests, I found out that if I change image resolution from pixels/inch to pixels/cm, resolution hence will convert from 300ppi to 118.11. Here I just rounded resolution to 120ppc, only then this image will keep its dimensions in illustrator as 30.6 cm x 6 cm without any change when I drag it or place it in Ai again!
Apparently keeping resolution as rounded figures in pixels/cm will fix this issue… any one had this problem or had solved it in a different way?

I think this is down to specifiying metric dimensions in an imperial resolution, coupled with the fact that there's no such thing as a fraction of a pixel.
300dpi equals 118.1102362 pixels per cm. Therefore, 6cm equals 708.6614173 pixels. Because you can only have whole pixels, Photoshop rounds this up to 709 pixels. 709 divided by 118.1102362 equals 6.002866668 which accounts for the discrepancy that you're seeing.
As you've discovered, the only way around this is to use a metric resolution that your chosen dimension fits in exact pixels.

  • Text taking a gradient when placed in perspective

Can anyone tell me, looking at the AI file available here (in the Public folder of my Dropbox), why the text takes a gradient when I place it on a perspective grid? I'm not able to see anything in the Appearance panel that gives me a hint. It may be obvious to someone without even needing to open the file . . . see pictures attached.
    Many thanks, as always.
    Rob

    Hi, Kurt.
Eventually I got it. When I was only clicking on the object with the Perspective Selection Tool, the Appearance palette gave me no information. Because the object was selected, I couldn't understand why I wasn't seeing any attributes.
Double-clicking, putting the text object into isolation mode, finally enabled me to change the fill.
Very thankful to you and others on this forum for being as prompt and helpful as you've been.
