Adobe Acrobat X Professional (Beta Version)

Hi team,
Hope you can help me on this one.
I've contact Adobe support via Live Chat with 2 issues.
One of the issues is downloading Adobe Acrobat X Professional (ME Version).
According to the Serial I provided, i've been told that this is the Beta Version of Adobe Acrobat and they don't support Beta versions.
Can you please get back to me with a solution please?
Best Regards
Fouad

I did not say to use the process verbatim. I said to use a SIMILAR process. You will have to download the AA X files in a SIMILAR process (not the AA 9 files) and then you should be able to install AA X as long as you have a legit SN for a regular version of AA X Pro. If it is a beta SN, you are out of luck as everyone else has mentioned.
OK, I tried a similar process and the file could not be found. I guess the address for the version X is not a simple change of 9 to X. I tried variations and it still did not work. In that case I guess you are out of luck until someone identifies the link that is needed. Sorry.
An alternative is to find someone else locally with AA X and see if they have the install files.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 professional Mac will not upgrade from 8.1.5 to 11.0.9

    Hi:
I have Adobe Acrobat 8 professional for Mac version 8.1.5 trying to upgrade to 11.0.9 but when I download the update it fails to grab the application. Although its visible, to advise to install the update it will not allow me to click on update. I am using a MacMini running on
    Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

From AA 8, you have to purchase the full AA XI. There is no upgrade for products before AA 9. You should not have been able to purchase XI from Adobe as an upgrade with only 8 as the prior product.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional

We continue to get prompts to buy Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional - or enter a serial number - each time we download documents off the internet.  When we try to buy the software, we are directed to a website that says Error 404 (or something like that).   I also believe we already have Adobe on our computer.  How can we open and print Adobe documents from the internet?   Thanks, Tracy

For viewing and printing you need only the free Adobe Reader.

If you haave a valid serial you should be able to install the Acrobat Pro. If you have registered your version you might be able to get the serial, if lost, from your Adobe login.
But Version 8 is quite old there might be some compatibility issues. If you want to buy it, you will be able only to buy the latest version which is at the moment Acrobat Pro X, when you go to Adobe (click on the red icon in the top left corner) you see a link to Acrobat somewhere on the page. There you can follow up to buy that product.

  • Error Deploying Adobe Acrobat X Professional over Standard

A while back I deployed a customized installation of Adobe Acrobat X Standard. I used the Adobe Customization Wizard X to generate a MST file that omits things like speed launch and arm and disables some features in the help menu (like updates, repair, etc.) and deployed the MSI via Group Policy. Everything worked fine, Acrobat X Standard is now on every workstation. Later, we discovered that some users needed the 10.1.1 patch, so we patched some systems as necessary.
Due to decisions out of my control, management has now decided that they want to replace Acrobat X Standard with Acrobat X Professional on all workstations. Great! So I generate another MST with my trusty Customization Wizard and make sure to UNINSTALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS. When I try to deploy the new package I get an error on each of the patched workstations...so I try to run the setup manually to discover the following error during the installation of Adobe Acrobat X Professional:
Setup has detected that you already have a more functional product installed. Setup will now terminate.
I'm no expert on Adobe, but I do know that management shelled out more money for Professional than they did for Standard and according to the website Pro is more "featured" than standard...so with all due respect, Adobe installer you are WRONG!
I don't want to touch each workstation to uninstall Adobe Acrobat X Standard so I can install Adobe Acrobat X Professional. Can someone please tell me how to get around this installer error please? Some registry key that needs deleting perhaps?
    Many thanks in advance,
    David Vielmetter

Well,  you are attempting to uninstall the same code version of Acrobat X Standard with Acrobat X Pro.  That won't work.  You say that you purchased an upgrade from Acrobat X Standard to Acrobat X Pro that doesn't sound right either.  If you decided to get Acrobat X Pro after already purchasing Acrobat X Standard the process should have been to get the full DVD media or the full ESD (electronic service download) from Adobe of Acrobat X Pro and then destroy or return the old software along with a very long legal form that says you are doing just that process.  That's a procurement issue from both ends I would think.  Needless to say the correct way would be to get the full media with the full serial number for Adobe Acrobat X Pro from Adobe.  Then uninstall Acrobat X Standard from your user machines and then install the full media of Acrobat X Pro.

  • Help Installing Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional

I had Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional on my computer prior to having to reload software due to virus problems.  I cannot find a place to download it.  I have the serial number and bought it legitimately.  Please advise.
    Thanks.

if you follow all 7 steps you can dl a trial here:  http://prodesigntools.com/all-adobe-cs5-direct-download-links.html
    and activate with your serial.
if you have a problem dl'g, you didn't follow all 7 steps.  the most common error involves failing to meticulously follow steps 1,2 and/or 3 (which adds a cookie to your system enabling you to download the correct version from adobe.com).

In AA7, PDF Maker is a plugin for OFFICE 2003 and earlier that is a preprocessor for the printer. It simply provided the essence of PDF Marks that were then processed by Distiller once the printer completed the creation of the PS file. AcroTray was to automate the process by invoking Distiller to process the PS file and create the PDF. The latter fails with Win7, as does the printer itself. I have been successful at installing AA7 on both 32 and 64-bit versions of Win7. However, the installation of an additional PS print driver and the extra steps to create the PDF were necessary.

  • Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional SDK

Is SDK included with Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional?  Is it seperate purchse/install?  What is the link to the version 8 SDK documentation? I found version 9 SDK documentation link but can not find version 8.

I was able to find that link just before you posted the reply.  However, when i download and extract the version 8 SDK, it seems to only have examples.  It does not seem to have the actual SDK libraries to be installed.  Unless i'm not looking in the right folder.

  • Lost Disc -- Need Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional -- Downloadable?

    Greetings All,
I have a registered copy of Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and somehow I managed to muck things up when I was transferring my programs to my new MacBook Pro. Now, it doesn't work: complaining of missing components (plugins). I haven't been able to find another downloadable copy of this on the Adobe site.
    Anyone know of a solution???
    Thanks,
    Michael

If it's a registered copy, you could try Adobe customer support. Other than that, I don't believe that there is any place on the Adobe site where you can download an older version.

  • I want to buy Adobe Acrobat XI Pro full version... Limited access vs. full access?

I want to buy Adobe Acrobat XI Pro full version, but I don't know what the difference is between limited access to online services offered by the full version and the full access that's offered by the month-to-month version. In other words, what would I losing by acquiring the full version, rather than just paying the $19.99 per month and get full access to online services? Can someone help clear this up for me? Thanks!

    Hi dmoynihan0421,
The retail version of Acrobat costs around US449$ and the monthly subscription is available for a very nominal fee of 19.99$ per month.
The software is the same and there's no difference between the functionality of Acrobat except that in the retail version you have a serial number to permanently activate the software whereas in subscription Acrobat validates the license very month to check if the subscription is active or not.
The main difference between the two however is the Adobe Online services.
When you buy Acrobat XI Pro as a one-time purchase, you get only Acrobat software. No online services are included.
When you subscribe to Acrobat Pro in select countries, you pay a low monthly fee to get:
Acrobat XI Pro desktop software, including any upgrades
The FormsCentral Plus online service for creating and distributing web forms
The Adobe PDF Pack online service that makes it easy to create, convert, and combine PDFs in your browser
Acrobat.com for storing and sharing files in the cloud
The details of these services are as follows:
Adobe online services extend your Acrobat XI working environment to help you streamline and simplify your projects:
Adobe FormsCentral makes it fast and easy to create, distribute, and analyze forms. A desktop version of the online service is included in Acrobat XI Pro. Using the FormsCentral desktop app, you can create unlimited PDF forms for free from scratch or by using professional templates. If you subscribe to Acrobat Pro† or open a free or paid account with the FormsCentral online service, you can also use the desktop app to build web forms and manage form distribution and analysis.
Adobe EchoSign makes it easy to get rid of paper signatures forever. If you open a free or paid account with the service, you can use the Sign pane in Acrobat XI to send documents to others for signature approval and track results online. Recipients can sign electronically without installing software or creating an EchoSign account.
Acrobat.com lets you store and access your files online from within Acrobat or Reader on any device when you sign up for a free account or subscribe† to Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Standard.
Adobe PDF Pack lets you create, combine, and export PDFs from any browser or mobile device. PDF Pack is included when you subscribe† to Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Standard — or you can open a paid account.
Adobe Send is an Adobe online service that lets you send and track large files — including audio and video — without the headaches of email size restrictions. Paid subscriptions are available.

    Rave
