Adobe acrobat XI Pro action wizard password security problem

I have created new action wizard with Encrypt and save function. In the Encrypt Function, I have select password security with require password to open and restrict editing and print. After running the action wizard, i try to open the file that was selected and performed , all the file can be open with either password. File are able to print even though the password sercuity are tick with restrict printing. I need regarding this issue. Currently manually redo all the password setting for all file.

What does it say under security properties for this file?

I have downloaded and expanded for Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended installation.
I run AutoPlay.exe.
It takes me two screens so I can browse cd, read license.......
and press "Install Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended "
Nothing happends.....
I have tried with acrobat pro 8.1 installed and not installed.
Nothing happends.

Adobe Acrobat 6 pro in win 7 install problem

hi iam tring to install Acrobat 6 pro in windows 7 64bit . when i launch setup.exe a windows 7 compaitabilty error message pop up when i click on run program it will start installing and again it gives a setup error saying "adobe acrobat 6 pro setup was unable to creat a new semi adobe PDF port monitor. the adobe PDF printer may be unavailable". so how to fix these errors. Is acrobat 6 is compaitable with windows 7 64bit. are there any updates to fix this problem

The print driver may be available, but AcroTray is sure to fail. If the driver is available, try a print to file and open in Distiller. If that works it is a workaround that will allow AA6 to operate. The key problem here is x64 for which I am not sure. On 32-bit Win7 I was successful installing AA5. However, AcroTray fails and I have to print to file as mentioned. The best solution is to purchase AAXI.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro - Form Wizard isn't detecting form fields?

Hi there,
I've been scouring various forums, blogs, etc. to find an answer to my problem, and have yet to be successful. Here it is:
I've created a form in Illustrator CS5 using the rectangle shape tool to indicate form fields. I need users to be able to enter information in each of the specified fields. I've saved the file as a .PDF and have opened it into Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. I then select "Start Form Wizard" from the Forms menu, and after making the appropriate selections it tells me: "No new form field annotations were detected." and then prompts me to the form editing page. I've also tried simply selecting "Add or Edit Fields" from the Forms menu and the same thing happens - it isn't detecting any form fields.
The only time the Form Wizard or Add or Edit Fields options work is if I use underlines instead of boxes as the form fields, but I'd really prefer to use the boxes since they lend themselves to the aesthetics of the document much better.
I'm new to converting Illustrator files into interactive .PDFs, so I'm not sure what I should be doing. The background color of the document is grey and the boxes are white with no outline (I tried it with an outline around the boxes and it still didn't work). Any advice would be much appreciated! How big are these fields? Are they for entering text or just check boxes?
I have found that sometimes FormWizard is not compatible with some Quark files.
Sounds like it might be easier for you to do the fields manually.
First draw the field like you want it and set that as the default then you can choose to paste multiple fields.
Also if you want to use a line for FormWizard you can make the background of the field white and cover the line with it.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro- How to password protect with time expiration

Does anyone know how to set a password for a .pdf file that will expire after a certain length of time. Thanks for your help.

Not possible with Acrobat alone, but with a DRM system on your PDF (License Server etc.) you can expire documents as and when you like.

Acrobat X Pro: Action Wizard to Set Document Action

Good Day All,
I would like to build an Action which adds a "Document Will Print" javascript Document Action but for the life of me cannot figure it out. Would anyone know how I would do this? If this is not possible, can I build an Action which will add Javascript to a PDF in order to accomplish the same thing?

Are you using the latest version of Acrobat X i.e. 10.1.12
Does this happen to every pdf file or any particular one?
You may also try 'Repair Acrobat Installation' option from the 'Help' menu to check further.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro - Action when signature cleared

Is there a way to trigger an action when a signature is cleared? I am trying to hide or show other objects (buttons, text) based on the existence of a signature. If not is there a form level "refresh" that I can create a javascript that will do this?

The Digital Signature field has a Signed tab (under Properties) where you
can specify a script that will be executed when the document is signed.

The only reason why Acrobat installation fails and throw this error message is when there are some services running in the background causing the installer not to complete the installation. My take is try the following steps and suggest if you were able to install the products or not :
1) Navigate to control panel and confirm that there is no line Item that talks about Acrobat. If you see Acrobat XI listed there, please remove them.
2) Perform a selective Start up using the steps mentioned in this link.
Please suggest if the above mentioned steps were able to resolve the query for you or not.

Variables and Actions in Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro

Hello Gurus,
I have been searching different forums around the net for three days, so I am really frustrated since I cant find anything related to this, and I am even thinking if this is really possible.
I'll try to explain what I wanted to make. I am using Captivate 4 and publishing my content through Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro server. I want to use this "Variables and Actions" Feature of my current version of Captivate. Now, I want that when my user open a training which she is enrolled with, I want her name to appear on the content, like "Hello Irish" something like that, without requiring her to log on her name. How could I make use this variables and actions in captivate 4 to get automatically the "first-name" variable of my user in Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro of my user?
Is this possible guys?

I am looking at Connect Pro right now, and as I can see it on its default page it displays the name and lastname of the logged user, moreover, there is a part where you could either invite existing user, or create existing user, as mentioned in this link: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AcrobatConnectPro/7.5/Using/WS5C856274-D671-4665-9CD0-29868C89 60F2.html so I am thinking If maybe there could be a way where I can retrieve the "first-name"of the user through Variables and Actions of Captivate. Since I am trying to avoid prompting the user to type in their first names, I wish to do automatically, that is if it possible.

Adobe Acrobat XI Pro free trial won't launch, claiming no Internet connection

I wondered if anyone could help me solve this mystery: I am trying to launch the Adobe Acrobat XI Pro free trial. Sign In is required to use the trial. But when I click on "Sign in now", I get the message "Please connect to the Internet and retry". Which is strange, because my Internet connection is active and stable. The same panel hints that my clock might be at fault (but it is correct). I am running Windows 7, no earlier version of Adobe Acrobat installed. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have on how I can resolve this riddle.

Thank you for answering and suggesting ways to remedy my problem. I tried all the four actions you made me aware of, but although everything seems to be all right, I still cannot launch Acrobat XI in the trial version. The only little hickup came when accessing Adobe's secure site, which prompted this message:
But when I later checked the certificate, it seemed to be installed and enabled. I am no expert, but it looked like it should according to step 4 under http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-i ssues.html

Can i make PDF presentation 'repeat' on Adobe Acrobat X Pro?

Im a new here, and i have little problem which i hope you can help me.
So i must do PDF-presentation which repeat after last page. So when the presentation goes last page it must jump first page, and start presentation again. But i cant find where i can do that trick. So could anyone here help me with that problem? Im using Adobe Acrobat X Pro software. So how i can make presentation repeat, or need i some other software?
I have tried make Action Wizard new action on "document processing" tab and there "set open options" that makes presentation "single page continous", but that dont make presentation to repeat. So i do something wrong, or that is wrong place where i try do that.
So im little bit stuck with that, and need advices.

You can define a Page Action for the last page in the document, and make it reset to page 0. Right-click a page in the thumbnails panel on the left, choose Properties, then Actions.
To avoid missing the last page and messing about with timing code, the simple fix is to add a blank page to the end of the document, and give it a 'Page Open' action of "Go to a page View" which moves to your first page.
