Adobe Acrobat XI pro caused MS Office Visio 2003 problem.

I installed Adobe Acrobat XI pro, but it caused problem.
Each time I open MS Office Visio 2003, I get the warning message:
Visio找不到此附加元件或它的某個檔案。
發生了錯誤而且這個功能無法在再正常運作,您要立即修復這個功能嗎?
If Chinese is not available for my question, please refer to the following translation:
“Visio can not find the add-ons or one of its files.
An error is occurred and this function can not work properly, do you want to repair this function now?”
I clicked “Yes”, and the Visio add-ons are installed.
Once MS Office Visio 2003 is closed and opened again, the above story will happen again.
What is the problem and how to solve it?
p.s., Acrobat can be lunched/opened without any problem.

For creating a PDF from OFFICE 2003 with AA XI, you will have to print to the Adobe PDF printer. OFFICE 2003 is not compatible with the AA XI PDF Maker that was updated to work with the newer versions of OFFICE.

  • Adobe Acrobat XI Pro causes an error when starting it - Adobe Acrobat has stopped working. How do I resolve this?

I've had Adobe Acrobat XI Pro for some time, but yesterday it stopped working and I started having an 'Adobe Acrobat has stopped working' error. It then tells me to Close the Program.
    How do I resolve this?
    Thanks and regards

Thanks Pat. I was able to resolve the problem.
OS is Windows 7 Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro 11.0.07.
I went into the Properties file where I identified that Users only had Read & Execute and Read properties, I changed properties for Everyone to Full Control. That fixed the problem.
I don't know how the properties got changed to just Read & Execute, but there had been an automatic update the night before.

    Hi Sailesh,
If you're running Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or 10.7 (Lion), Adobe PDF is replaced.
    See the following blog posting:

  • Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended hangs for about 12 seconds ... please help!

    Hi there,
I'm using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and have the following problem:
I can open PDF documents just fine. But after about 3-4 seconds the program hangs / freezes for about 12 seconds. I've tried everything (defined a non-network printer as default printer, deactivated unecessary fonts with a font manager, deactivated most of the plugins from Adobe Acrobat etc.)... nothing helps to solve this issue.
Can anybody give me a hint or have a solution for this ???
    Thanks for your help!

I do have the same problem but I'm OSX 10.6.8

But crashes with Acrobat Pro 9.5 and Lightroom 3.6
Latest drivers for the Phaser in installed, tried the Repais Acrobat Installation but

  • Can't open any PDF file with Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

I have tried to open multiple Acrobat files but none will open. I get a FATAL ERROR message saying: "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server."  I've created documents in word and publisher and am able to convert to pdf format but after the pdf file has been created I cannot open to view and I get the error message. Please help! Thank you!

No I am thinking that the problem is with Acrobat XI Pro. Because as previously noted I can create a Word document and save as a PDF, the PDF document will be created by Acrobat XI Pro but will not open with Acrobat XI Pro, which normally happens automatically upon creating the PDF file from say Word, Exel, Publisher, etc. When I try to open with Acrobat XI Pro it give me the FATAL ERROR message saying: "Acrobat failed to connect to a DDE server". Since I could not open any of my PDF documents with Acrobta XI Pro, because I had Acrobat XI Pro as my default PDF creater and reader, I installed Adobe Reader, hoping that it would allow me to view the PDF documents that I had just created with Acrobat XI Pro and it did. The problem is that I cannot open Acrobat XI Pro to creat or edit or add PDF restrictions on  a PDF document straight from Acrobat XI Pro, but I can create a, say Word document, and save as a PDF file. Before installing Adobe Reader I could not open, see or edit the just created PDF file created through Word it is just now after installing Acrobat Reader.
    Also worth noting.
I have been told that this same problem happened sometime ago with Adobe Acrobat X Pro (Vesion 10) and that the problem was fixed by editing something within the registry. Does anyone know anything about that? Thanks!

For MS Visio (any version) only the appropriate version of Acrobat *PRO* provides PDFMaker for Visio.
For Visio 2013 specifically you must have Acrobat XI Pro (updated to at least 11.0.1).

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro & Office 2010 problem

    So.
We have a machine with Windows 7, Office 2010 Home and Business and Adobe Acrobat X Pro
Earlier everthing was ok, but now we have a small problem.
The PDFMaker don't work with Word. The Add-on is disabled and when I try to enable nothing happends. In Excel and PowerPoint it works.
I've tried to repair Adobe. Tried to uninstall the PDFMaker part and reinstall. Tried to repair Office. Also restarted the computer. No difference.
Still working in Excel and PowerPoint, but in Word the PDFMaker isn't available.
    What can I try now?
And of course, we use it mostly with Word.

    Hi "McBack",
You can try deleting the entry for PDFMaker in the disabled items @ “HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Word\Resiliency\DisabledItems". The entry corresponding to the PDFMaker can be checked via double-clicking the individual list items under “Disabled Items” hive and checking for the string that reflects the location of PDFMaker COM-Add-In, say “C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\PDFMaker\Office\PDFMOfficeAddin.dll”.

  • Launching Adobe Acrobat X Pro (Mac) first causes other CS5.5 apps to prompt for serial

    Hi,
As in the title. Does not matter which machine we install Adobe CS5.5 Master Collection onto if we start Adobe Acobat X Pro first it will fire up and work fine. However if we then quit Adobe Acrobat X Pro and then try and launch any of the other CS5.5 apps such as Photoshop it will prompt for a serial number.
If we install CS5.5 and launch any of the other CS5.5 apps such as Photoshop it works as per nomal. We can then load Adobe Acrobat Pro X and quit it and the CS5.5 apps still work without prompting for a serial.
Is anyone else experiencing this on a Mac?
We have tried different model Macs all with clean os installs and only CS5.5 install and it is all repeatable. We have also tried installing CS5.5 manually as well as using the AAME to package it and the same behaviour occurs.
    Any ideas?
This is a major issue as we will deploy this to numerous computer labs so if a student starts Adobe Acrobat X Pro first then all the other CS5.5 apps will prompt for a serial.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Lachlan

I haven't seen this on CS5.5 but in the CS4 and earlier if you started Bridge or Acrobat first you would be prompted to launch one of the other applications first. AFAIK, there's no way around this.

  • Saving a Form created in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

We create forms for the company to use with Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, but because others do not have Acrobat 9 Pro they can not save the document after they have filled out the form.  This is causing a big issue for us.  Does anyone know a way that we can create a Form in Acrobat 9 Pro that allows others to fill it out using just the plain version of Adobe (guessing they only have Reader) and then they can save it to their desktop?

You need to apply the Extended Reader Rights to it from the Advanced menu in
    Acrobat.

  • How do I transfer the Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to a new computer?

I downloaded Adobe Acrobat XI Pro from the internet last week and I am changing computers in my office today.  How can I transfer this program to my new computer when the program did not give me an option to SAVE it when downloading it?  I really want to use it on my new computer and do not wish to purchase it again since no one will be using the old computer after it is switched out.
    Thanks for your help.  Michelle

I assume you have your S/N (or subscription information). In that case, you can download from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. You should deactivate the version on the old computer so you keep your activations current. Also, be sure to register your installation, particularly with the S/N for the future so you have access to info online (like your S/N). Also make a backup of the install file on a CD or backup drive for the future -- a download may not always be available, and even if it is it may be hard to find.

  • Adobe Acrobat 11 Pro - silent install not completely silent

    Hello,
I am trying to create an installer for Adobe Acrobat 11 Pro. I have used the customization wizard to create a transform file for the install and specified it to be silent. However, it appears that windows are still opening in the background when the installer runs, which causes our automated installer service to close out of the install thinking the installer is "broken."
Is there an easy way to make the installer completely, 100% silent?
    The command is currently:
    if exist [file generated to determine if a prior uninstall was sucessful] (msiexec /i "[PATH]Adobe Acrobat Pro\Adobe Acrobat 11 Pro\AcroPro.msi" /qn CLIENTUILEVEL=0 TRANSFORMS=[PATH]\Adobe Acrobat Pro\Adobe Acrobat 11 Pro\AcroPro.mst" /l*v "[PATH]\adobe.log")
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Drew
EDIT: The windows opening look like they are deleting some dll files. If anyone knows a workaround, that's be great.

Answered this in your other post.  Please only post once per issue. Here is the response I put in that thread:
"If you are installing on a machine that Acrobat 10 previously  then this is likely deleting the old Adobe PDF Printer files if anything instead of the Setup files.  I don't believe there is a way to change this behavior."

  • "There was an error processing a page. Out of memory." Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro-Please Help!

"There was an error processing a page. Out of memory." Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro I had this problem with my last computer over two years ago which was obviously an older version of windows and acrobat and had found a way to solve it but like I said it was an older version and was 2 years ago so I don’t remember how to fix it. I’ve looked through many forums and emptied my temp folder I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the software I’ve turned off my anti-virus I don't have adobe reader because I know this causes comflicts also and have tried so much more and I’m still having issues with about half my pdf files I cannot figure it out. I use pdf files many times a day and this is really hindering my work so please please please if anyone else has experienced this or knows how to fix it that would be great thank you!!! I’m somewhat computer savvy but not completely so if you cloud please explain to me in slightly less tech terms that would be great too.

Assuming your disk is not too full, and your virtual memory settings are normal, this is not caused by software clashes, TEMP folders nor fixed by reinstalls. It is Acrobat _actually_ running out of memory, or running out of something else it has a fixed supply of.
    1. Are you using any plug-ins to process files?
    2. After you get this error on a particular file, restart Acrobat. Does the file now open OK?

While installing Acrobat XI Pro, the installation automatically rolls back and I get the message "The wizard was interrupted before Adobe Acrobat XI Pro (11.0.07) could be completely installed. Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again." How to resolve it.
How do I modify the system.

    Hi Rgardezi,
The only reason why Acrobat installation fails and throw this error message is when there are some services running in the background causing the installer not to complete the installation. My take is try the following steps and suggest if you were able to install the products or not :
    1) Navigate to control panel and confirm that there is no line Item that talks about Acrobat. If you see Acrobat XI listed there, please remove them.
    2) Perform a selective Start up using the steps mentioned in this link.
Please suggest if the above mentioned steps were able to resolve the query for you or not.

  • I am trying to install update 11.0.06 for my Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, but without success multiple times.Get error 1603 each time,

I am trying to install update 11.0.06 for my Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, but without success multiple times.Get error 1603 each time. I have tried disabling my antivirus software without success. I have looked for solutions to error 1603, and have tried what it suggests (empty temp files in Windows, etc.), also without success. There is nothing that mentions Window 8 or 8.1 operating system, though. Is this the issue? Please help.

    Hi Dawn,
We might want to have a look at the install logs to determine the cause.
Please try the following basic steps :
    > Enable the hidden Admin Account on Windows 7 ( Ref :  http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-wi ndows-vista/ )
    > Disable all Non-Microsoft Startup Services. (Ref : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/disable-startup-items-services-windows.html )
    > Disable all the Antivirus softwares like CA, Norton,Mc Afee etc. temporarily from the computer.
Reboot and try installing in the new enabled Admin user account and check.
