Adobe activation required?

When Photoshop was installed apparently it's not talking to the adobe acrobat?  Evertime I go into Acrobat it gives me an error message " Suite Product Activation - To enable Adobe Acrobat please start another component of this suite such as Adobe Photoshop."  When I open Photoshop, then Acrobat, nothing changes, so I'm guessing I have to do something else, but can't figure out what..  Help...please

I don't know if this message will help your situation, but activation is a recurring problem

  • Adobe Reader Activation requires administrative rights - who?

I have had Adobe Reader installed for several years withour any problems like this. Now when I open a pdf file on Internet to read, it times out with a message (Adobe Activation - requires administrative rights to this computer) and than shuts down. The message say: "log in as adminstrator and try again or contact your system administrator". Well, I am a single laptop user and also the system administrator, I suppose, and I have not my computer set up to log in as an administator. How do I change Adobe Reader so it allows me to use Adobe?

    What is your OS?
What is your Adobe Reader version?
Do you have any other Adobe products installed, e.g. Acrobat?
Can you open the standalone Adobe Reader by itself?

  • How do I uninstall old "activation required CS2" if I don't have "Adobe Installer" in my utilities?

I was unable to uninstall/install the old "activation required CS2" for the new "non-activation required CS2" via chat.
We got to the step where I would uninstall but "Adobe Installer" wasn't in my utilities, and they sent me here.
I would also need a link to the "non- activation required CS2" download, please.
The deal is I want to move to a new computer. My new computer has no disc drive. I want to be able to use my CS2 on it.

  • Can't deactivate to transfer - "activation requires administrative rights"

    System info:
Late 2009 21.5" iMac w/8GB RAM running Windows 7 Ultimate (x86.  x64 wouldn't install Acrobat PDF Printer so is pretty useless) on Bootcamp
I need to deactivate Adobe Acrobat Pro 7 (Windows) so i can re-install it elsewhere but just this morning it's started acting up - as soon as i open Acrobat i get a pop-up saying:
    "Adobe Activation:
Activation requires that you have administrative rights on this computer.
Please log in as as administrator and try again, or contact you system administrator"
I've never had a problem before with this.  I've tried logging in as the domain admin but still the message appears.  It won't let me access anything at all in Acrobat except to click OK, on which Acrobat closes.  I've just run a disk check as an Adobe support document suggested but no-go.
Anyone know how to fix this?
    Thanks

    Update
Phone support is a lost cause. God knows how long i was on hold yesterday morning.  Tried Live Chat support again, got through to a different and very helpful chap who told me that my Acrobat 7 Professional serial number was already deactivated and i could go ahead and install it elsewhere.  God knows how it managed to deactivate itself but i don't really care, having fretted over this issue for the best part of a working day.  Happy camper.

  • Valid Acrobat Pro XI says Activation Required after 30 days

    Hello!
We have made an enterprise deployment of Acrobat Pro XI using the Adobe Customization Wizard XI. Since our environment is 100% offline, we added the Serial Number (that we in advance validated online) during the Customization Wizard, so that the application can install silently without any online validation needed.
Our problem now is that Acrobat still after 30 days says that it is not activated. Can this problem have come from the fact that at one time, after the deployment configuration was made, we remade/edited the configuration with the Customization Wizard, and used the same serial code as before?
Bottom line: Do we need to revalidate online and get a new serial number every time we make a change with the Customization Wizard?
If not, what else can cause Acrobat to believe that it is not activated, even though we are using a valid key?
    Error message:
    Activation Required.
Please connect to the internet. Activating Acrobat XI Pro is required today otherwise it will stop working.
    Thank you in advance!

No, it's not a part of Creative Cloud. It's just a standalone Acrobat Pro XI.
What I meant about "using the mst wrong" was that we run setup.exe, which i guess uses setup.ini. and in setup.ini under [product] "CmdLine=TRANSFORMS="AcroPro.mst" is added (the mst includes the ISX_SERIALNUMBER), but maybe we should try running the AcroPro.msi directly and apply the transform directly in the command line.
I know we could just try this, but it's essential that we are 100% sure that our solution works before sending it out to thousands of users.
I was in contact with someone from Adobe Support earlier who said to run this command: msiexec /i acropro.msi TRANSFORMS=AcroPro.mst /qn and "then you can check in TASK manager , you will see 4 MSiexec processes running."
That was kind of confusing. Exactly which processes they meant and how that proves that the activation was successful, I don't know.
The support guy told me that the only thing needed for the offline activation to work was to add the ISX_SERIALNUMBER to the mst, which we have. But then what does the "Grant Offline Exception" button in the Adobe Customization Wizard XI do? There must be some kind of magic that this button does that i can verify in the mst.
Also, I see the recommendations about posting this in the enterprise deployment forum, and I guess it could've been moved there, but I don't think it would make much difference since this problem remains the same whether it's deployed to lots of users or just one.
Thank you so much for any further help.

  • Getting an Activation Required Message when I launch Captivate

Captivate 5.5 has been installed on my computer for over one year and I just recently have been getting a message each time I open Captivate that reads Activation Required.  I have a valid software license through my company and I am connected to the Internet.  Can you please assist with this issue?  Additionally, I have a colleague with a similar problem who has a different software license for the product.

  • My ipod is showing an "activation required" message on my home screen and the slider to unlock it is not working.  I've had it for 2 years and had no problems and then it randomly locked up on me and won't let me do a reset.  Any way to fix this?

I haven't been able to use my ipod for a month because its stuck on a screen that says "Activation Required" and the slider to unlock it is unresponsive.  I've drained the battery and recharged it, I've tried resetting it.  When I try opening it in iTunes it tells me its unable to access it because the iPod is locked with a passcode, which I can't enter on my iPod because the slider is unresponsive.  Any help?

next thing i would think of is to ask bestbuy apple retailer or bestbuy pple to help u out from here bc im not sure what to do next if u cant get it into dfu mode.
all i can think of is to hold home and power for 30 seconds in the meantime of showing the apple sign at least once or twice.
either that, home and power flashes once and 1/2 sec later release power while holding home still and plug it in wihout trying to let go the home button. dont even let go until itunes says somthing remotly saying anything ...lol

  • TS2755 My iPhone 4 says that I need to restore it every day, even after I have already restored it.  When I try to restart the phone after receiving the restore message, it then changes and says "activation required".  How do I fix this?

My iPhone 4 keeps having the "Restore Needed" message pop up on my phone.  I have restored my phone several times this week, and it still keeps happening.  The "Restore Needed" message pops up, so I immediately do a hard shut-down.  Once the phone restarts, the phone then says "Activation Required".  I keep shutting down and restarting the phone, and sometimes it snaps out of it, seemingly on its own.  Sometimes I have to go home and restore and activate my phone.  How do I fix this?  I'm 2.5 hours away from the closest Apple store and 1 hour away from the closest AT&T store.
    Thanks!
    Autumn

Make the time and take it to the Apple Store. Make an appointment first. Or you can call AppleCare and go for a mail in replacement.

  • Help! Recurrent "activation required" message after upgrade to iOS 8.1

    Hello,
I recently upgraded to iOS 8 (directly from iOS 7 to version 8.1). Ever since, my phone keeps giving me a message saying "Activation Required" (see images). I am able to activate my phone normally, if I'm logged in to iCloud I have to enter my e-mail and password every time (so I logged off from iCloud for now).
    The problem is:
    - This happens at least 10 times a day, even more.
    - The phone can only be activated on wifi (3G and LTE never work, although the phone gives me the option to try these)
    - When the activation is required and if I don't have wifi to do it, the phone is completely blocked - I can't get out of the activation page, no way to see my home screen or access any of the apps, not even the camera, nothing!
I've taken it to Apple store and first they told me to delete everything and start as a new phone. It didn't work. Then I went again and they did a "full delete" (a different way of resetting my phone as a new phone) and installed iOS 8.1 from one of their computers, which they said was different from doing it from my computer. The guy was sure he had solved my problem, but I got the activation message a few hours later.
Now Apple tells me it's a problem with my carrier. My carrier, of course, says this is a problem with the phone.
I don't know what to do! The phone is less than 1 year old and I had no plans to buy a new one in the next year or so...
Does anyone has the same messages?
Does anyone has an idea why my phone is asking for activation so often??
    Any help will be appreciated!
    Julia.
    iPhone 5
    iOS 8.1

I'm still having the same problem. I've been going to the Apple Store every week. I was able to talk to someone in my carrier store (Fido Canada) and the guy was really nice, he really tried everything, changed settings of the network, changed the IMEI number in their system (my iPhone has been replaced and their system still showed the old IMEI number). I went back a couple hours later and he had really done a lot of research and talked to people. The phone was ok for a couple of hours, but then asked for activation again.
I went to the Apple Store genius bar last week (4th or 5th time), I was ready to get a new phone but the guy told me he had found the issue. My phone was not registered with the carrier, where it should say "Fido Canada", it was empty. He was able to change that (network "elevation" or "escalation" or something like that), he checked again and it had been changed to Fido. The phone was working great for 4 or 5 hours this time, but then the activation screen came back. :-(
I don't know what to do anymore. I'm SURE it's not a problem with my phone, but it's a configuration issue, either with the carrier network or the software, but no one seems to know what to do!
Going back to the Apple Store this wednesday, hope someone will be able to figure this out!

  • My ipod touch says "activation required, connect to itunes" i restore it on my itunes and it seems to be working, after i tried connecting to my wifi but no luck, i reset it and the same thing happens all over again. Help!

my ipod touch says "activation required, Connect to itunes" i restored it with on my itunes and it seems to be working again, after i tried connecting to my wifi with no luck i reset it, and again it pops back "activation required, connect to itunes" i restored again, its a non ending cycle, and it makes no sense having my ipod and i cannot connect to the internet with it, can someone please help with this issue?

    Maybe here:
Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .
Next would be to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • IPod touch 3G - activation required, will not sync properly, freezes up windows 7

    Hi,
I am having a lot of trouble with my iPod touch 3G.
I had not synced my iPhone 4 and my iPod touch for about a month as I was re-inputting my music into iTunes - I didn't want to sync them when not all the music I wanted would be synced onto them. Prior to syncing the devices, one day my iPod randomly displayed the "activation required" notification and the "connect to iTunes" screen. Neither my iPod nor my iPhone is jail broken, so this cannot be the cause of the deactivation. All I use my iPod for is plugging into my stereo system.
Regardless, I had finally managed to sort through all my music and had managed to sync my iPhone with no hitches. However, I ran into various issues with the iPod. A pop-up in iTunes said that it detect the device but could read it and that I would need to restore my iPod. So I did so (restored to the back-up). However, not even a third of the way into the restore everything just seemed to stop. My screen went black with only the mouse flickering. I restarted my computer and tried restoring it again (again to the back-up). It got further this time and actually managed to sync some songs (around 70 out of 850). However, a pop-up appeared saying that iTunes could not write from the song or disk. So I unplugged my iPod and plugged it back in and it immediately slowed down my computer. Chrome would not respond, Shockwave crashed, iTunes would not respond, etc.
Anyways, over the past couple days I have tried restoring the iPod (to factory settings) and that seems to have worked. I no longer have the constant "activation required" notification. iTunes seems to be having trouble syncing though. It will get a couple more songs synched and then display another pop-up saying that it could not write from the song files and then the synching process just gets stuck. The iPod no longer displays the synching icon, but iTunes remains stuck on "finishing sync".
(The problem cannot be with the songs as they sync perfectly fine to my iPhone).
On my iPod it shows all the songs which are/should be synched onto it. The synched songs appear in black (like normal) however, the majority of my songs are in a light grey and cannot be selected or played (basically it has the information about the song, but not the actual file itself). I can also use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. They are both greyed-out and say "No Wi-Fi" or "Unavailable" respectively.
Just as a note, I am on Windows 7 and have McAfee Antivirus Plus. I know that some people have some issues due to the firewall but I unsure as to how this could be the cause when my iPhone syncs perfectly well under the same conditions. I have iTunes 10.7.0.21 and my iPod is running on 5.1.1. If you need any additional information please ask!
If someone could please help, I would be extremely grateful! I'm at my wits end.
    Thanks!

See if disabling the antivirus and firewall resolves the problem.

  • HT1386 my phone will no longer turn all the way on or sinc... It just says activation required.

My I phone will no longer turn on all the way or conect with my computer all the way to sinc.... keeps saying "activation required"? How do I activate?

The only time I have ever seen that is when my SIM card is out of my phone. Try opening the sim card tray and then replacing it after a minute. Use a paperclip to pop the door open on the side of the phone (if it is a 4 or 4s) or on top (if 3GS) and see if that changes the alert message. Check back with status if that doesn't help. You can also trying a full restore by plugging it into your computer and opening iTunes. When it recognizes the phone click on the phone name in the left menu and hit restore. This will erase the phone but if you have a backup you can restore from that after it resets the phone or you can set it up as a new phone and start from scratch. Good luck, let me know if this helps.
