"Adobe Adobe Media Encoder Preview Files" folder full ?

Hello,
I'm on latest version of both Premiere and Media Encoder, I'm working on PC/7 (64bits)/i7/Cuda,
What is "Adobe Adobe Media Encoder Preview Files" folder ?
C:\Users\XXXXX\Documents\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\Adobe Adobe Media Encoder Preview Files\7.PRV
How to purge it NOT manually ? Why is it created ? How to deplace it or remove it ?
I've plenty of videos into my batch, and as soon as this folder is full, it's not exporting anymore. Even if all the old previewes are used and exported, they are not removed or automaticly deleted.
I've tried to move this folder of my D: through adobe media encoder preferences... impossible to find its reference somewhere.
If you have any idea, thanks a lot
Donald
Bonjour,
je suis sous la dernière version de Media Encoder CC 7.2.2.29 (je suis abonné au Cloud) et j'exporte via file d'attente sous premiere CC.
J'ai le dossier suivant :
C:\Users\XXXXX\Documents\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\Adobe Adobe Media Encoder Preview Files\7.PRV

  • Media encoder preview files folder

    Hi!
I'm not sure this folder exisited the last version, but in media encoder CC it's there in my documents/adobe/media encoder preview files.
the problem is that it's getting realy big- 30 gigs. I'm not sure why is it created.
I want to know if I can delete those files and I realy need to change it's path so it wont block my c drive
    thanks

If you are using a SSD there are likely to be a few very large files that you would like to relocate, not just those belonging to Adobe.
I too found that media encoder files within ‘c:\users\[ME]\My Documents\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\Adobe Adobe Media Encoder Preview Files\8.PRV’ with no obvious way of adjusting the settings to move them.
The solution I usually use for this type of problem is to create what is known as a ‘Windows Junction’, which is like a ‘shortcut’ but behaves exactly the same as a regular folder. I decided to move the whole of the ‘c:\users\[ME]\My Documents\Adobe’ folder from ‘My Documents’ to the root of another disk drive and then create then replace this with the ‘junction’ named ‘Adobe’ in . ‘c:\users\[ME]\My Documents\’
1: Close all Adobe software in case anything is in use in the Adobe folder (or the move will fail).
2: I was going to suggest moving the files at this point but it may be safer to copy them and then delete the ‘Adobe’ folder only  if the copy is successful. Copy the Adobe folder to another drive using drag and drop, in this example I used the root of the ‘G’ drive. If the move is successful delete the original ‘Adobe’ folder from ‘My Documents’.
3: Start a command prompt window in administrator mode (right click / run as administrator)
4: Change the directory to your ‘Documents’ folder using the command (not My Documents):
    CD    “c:\users\[me]\documents”
Replace [me] with your folder name, which is usually your name
5: Assuming you moved the ‘Adobe’ folder to the ‘G’ drive, and replace ‘G’ if different enter the command:
    Mklink    /j     Adobe    G:\Adobe
I have put multiple spaces in the above where there must be at least 1 space.
I have used this solution to move parts of ‘program files’ and other folders from the SSD to a regular hard drive for software and files I do not use very much.
Maybe I should make a video of this procedure?

  • Preview files folder

a folder of media encoder preview files is created in my documents- adobe- media encoder
this folder is getting bigger, I think every time I'm using media encoder to export my projects
at the moent it's 30 gigs after less than a month using CC
I need to know if I can delete this files? and I need to redirect them to my D drive or even better not create preview files

    Thank you for your answer.
Trouble is I know how to clean the Cache but it was the Preview Files that were the problem.
Additionally, I have some Cache Files in the location below which are taking up 23GB
    User>Library>Application Support>Adobe>Common>Media Cache Files
There is also a folder here called Media Cache.
I am confused becuase I have set my Media Cache Files and Media Cache in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder to all be the same and none of them point to this location? How do I clean this folder? Is it only present from a previous versions of the applications and simply not been removed when the programs were uninstalled? A lotof the files here seem to relate to audio files and .pek files?
Really grateful for your help on this one.

  • Can any one tell me when i use adobe flash media encoder how can i see my live vidoes on flash media

can any one tell me when i use adobe flash media encoder how can i see my live vidoes on flash media server . thnx

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • Adobe CS6 Media Encoder encoding 4K video

When will Adobe CS6 media encoder be upgraded to process 4K video or encode into h.265?

There will be no changes to Adobe Media Encoder CS6 (6.0). That is a version that is several versions behind the current version, Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014.1 (8.1).

how can i use adobe flash media encoder 3

Flash Media Live Encoder is NOT

  • Video player to Adobe Flash Media Encoder

Hi i want stream same video with Adobe Flash Media Encoder what software i can use now im using manycam but quality is no good plz for help.

You can increase the buffer to 5 seconds, click on the auto adjust and drop frames (recommended over degrade quality in my opinion as it can change the pitch of the audio), then change the buffer to 5 seconds.

  • Adobe Flash Media Encoder not detecting internal camera

I'm running OS X 10.8.5 and it won't detect the camera. I've installed the latest update from Apple that's suppose to address this error. After installing the new update I reinstalled Adobe Flash Media Encoder and it still doesn't work. The camera is also not being detecting on Skype. Reisntalled this as well. Anyone running into the same problems post update?

Verify that you are using the latest Flash version that works with you system:
          http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
If you need to update, use your Mac's Disk Utility to repair permissions.
    Then follow Adobe's instructions here:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/908/cpsid_90893.html
Be sure to uninstall your current Flash player before installing the new one.
Repair permissions again immediately following installation of the updated Flash player.
Be aware that the current Flash Player Preferences can be configured to block your camera in your Mountain Lion Mac's System Preferences.  However, you still configure Flash settings as shown here: http://tinyurl.com/5kjv3

  • Adobe Flash Media Encoder Increase Buffer Window

    Hi All,
Windows 8 OS looking to increase Adobe Flash Media Encoder's buffer window to 5 seconds and insert script commands. Obviously, there aren't any options through the program itself, so we're looking for a way around. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • Adobe flash media encoder compatibility with the lion mac mini server

Can anyone tell me if the adobe flash media encoder is compatible with the lion mac mini server?

I am running adobe live flash encoder on a new mac-mini server with Lion and am able to stream video just fine - however I get a hum in the audio. I am not sure whether the hum is caused by the audio input, the camcorder, the adobe encoder, or the combination, but it seems to be the camcorder's fault.
There is a manual about migrating or upgrading to lion server, but none about instituting a new capability from scratch

  • Can Adobe Live Media Encoder encode with Left audio only?

    Hi all,
I have a live feed video that contain dual audio (left = Englisg, right = Chinese).
Can i use Adobe Live Media Encoder to encode with English audio mono ONLY so that FMS can stream it to user with left&right = English audio?
    Thank you.

Are you  talking about Adobe media Live encoder and "Adobe media Server"...Just can publish from "Adobe media Live encoder"  and publish to "Adobe media server"..
This is a adobe media server forum...and your question it seems lies in the domain of encoders.
