Adobe After Effects and Encore

Need help. I created an adobe after effects animated menu in after effects for a previous project which I imported into Adobe Encore and used adobe dynamic to make it work. I need to use the same after effects project as the main menu. I imported it using adobe dynamic link, but I can't select it as first play in Encore and I can't animate (Render). Any ideas what I'm doing wrong. I don't want to rebuild the same menu again.

I have the original menu that I used to create the comp in after effects imported as a menu in Encore. I'm a novice, but want to know how I link them together. Originally, I added the menu and used adobe dynamic link to after effects where I created the animated menu, which worked great. Now, I'm using a new adobe Encore project and what to use those same assets for this one. I appreciate your help.

Is there an easier way to work with adobe after effects and final cut pro x

I use adobe after effects and I am thinking about deleting motion and compressor ( I can always install again). If you have a good reason to keep those apps let me know because I don't want to be hasty. If I delete them and stick with after effects and final cut pro... Is there a secret to easy working between FCPX and adobe after effects?

You'll go from FCP X to and from Motion a lot easier than AE. Motion does pretty much anything AE does, most of the time faster and easier. Without Motion, you can't do custom templates. You can't customize the encoding of files without Compressor. Why would you want to remove them from your system? Leave them, use AE if you want along side of them. But I'd learn Motion first. Cause AE doesn't read FCPXML, so going back and forth between them is a PITA.

We cannot know. You are not telling us anything about your system. This error usually occurs due to running out of temporary disk space in the relevant folders. Check this:

CS5 Premiere, After Effects, and Encore hang on splash screen - Solution

I just installed Production Premium CS5 on a Windows 7 64 bit system. The install went without a hitch, but when I attempted to start Premiere, After Effects or Encore, they would all hang at some place with the splash screen showing. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Adobe and they never solved the problem. They had me uninstall iTunes and Quicktime, upgrade my nVidea driver and upgrade to a newer version of Quicktime. None of this made a difference and at that point I realized they were not going to fix my problem. The first woman was an idiot and the guy I spoke to next was a lot better, but no solution. Premiere was hanging when loading the Quicktime plug-ins.
Then I had an Aha! moment. I shut off User Account Control, rebooted and then everything worked. I could also get the programs to work with UAC on if I changed the shortcut to "Run as Administrator" but then there would be a UAC prompt. By the way, I was running as a user with full administrator privileges.
I am astounded that Adobe has never encountered this problem before and did not have an immediate solution. Once again, Adobe Tech Support has continued to provide pathetic tech support.

The plug-ins that were involved in the hang on the splash screen were:
ExporterQuickTimeHost.prm
ImporterQuickTime.prm
The splash screen would hang for 5 minutes on each of these and then if PPro started it would only be a plain white window with the Menu Bar and then there would be no further response.

You can use Aftereffects and export the files and import it in Premiere Elements.
But between Premiere Pro and Aftereffects, you can even import the Aftereffects sequences in Premiere pro.
So YES, you can use any editing and compositing application with premiere elements, as long as you are exporting the output in a format that is acceptable by Premiere Elements, but you cannot import the sequence or timeline of any other application within premiere elements as you can do with some other interoperable applications.

Adobe After Effects to Encore to DVD?

For the life of me, I cannot understand why I can't do something so simple! I searched for many MANY hours for tutorials on how to convert a file from After Effects, import it to Encore, and make a playable Video DVD out of it!
Some problems I'm having is that video plays fine, smooth. But yet the audio doesnt work!
Also, I burnt another DVD imported out as an .avi from After Effects, and not only does the audio not work, but there seems to be color correction problems and whatnot. @_@
Can someone help me out with step by step instructions?
Some details you might want to know to head me in the right direction:
- clip is only about 1:30 min
- I have audio set at 48kHz 16Bit Stereo
My main goal is to create a DVD to play on a standalone DVD player.
Also, please don't recommend another program to use, the school can't allow me to download or use any programs other than these 2 >.>

First, what are your Export settings in AE.
For DVD (not BD), I strongly recommend elemental streams, i.e. a video-only DV-AVI Type II file, and an audio-only PCM/WAV 48KHz 16-bit file. Import the DV-AVI video-only file into En as a Timeline. Import the WAV audio-only file into En as an Asset. From En's Project Panel, drag the Audio file to the appropriate Timeline. This has always worked perfectly for me.

I quess my main question is, Do both products do the same thing? I am thinking of buying After Effects for use with Flash, but I see that that Final Cut does allot of the same.

To my understanding After Effects is very different from Motion. They certainly have similarities, but they are two different types of programs.
After Effects is a Keyframe based post-production tool that, while complex, is exteremely powerful. Motion is more user-friendly and has cool features, but as for raw power for intense CG work it is not your tool.
As for keying things out, I have only used the croma key tools in Final Cut Pro, and while it works well, it does not have quite the same ease as something along the lines of: http://www.seriousmagic.com/products/ultra/
If you are looking for an easy, web qaulity way of keying things, seriousmagic is probably the company for you.

Adobe After Effects and 10.4.5

Anyone else had AE die after 10.4.5? I can't get beyond a few bounces and no splash screen. It works fine on another backup system drive 10.4.4. repaired permissions and reinstalled, no luck.

Dynamic link after effects and adobe media encoder

I recently downloaded After Effects cc (yesterday). I am running a mac pro with OSX 10.9.3 2.3 ghz intel core i7 with 16 gb 1600 MHz DDR3.
On previous versions of AE I was able to render straight out of AE, I know this is not the case with CC anymore. I am trying to use AME to export however I am having issues.
When I try to send to AME from the Composition tab in AE it looks like it is doing something and then nothing happens. I then opened AME separately and tried to "add after effects comp" from the file menu in AME the error message displayed was "Could not connect to Adobe After effects. Please verify that Adobe After effects and Adobe Dynamic link components are installed".
I have also tried to drag and drop my composition directly from AE to AME and the following message appears "Dynamic link error - Source is empty"
I have read a multitude of threads on this issue and this is definitely not a firewall issue. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Why do you think that? You can still use the render queue in After Effects to render and export directly out of After Effects.
That said, there are some formats that Adobe Media Encoder handles better.

How have you determined that?
Does exporting to QuickTime (.mov) format from After Effects work? How about the 3D Camera Tracker and Warp Stabilizer effects? The reason that I ask about these is that they use the same communication mechanism that Dynamic Link does, so if they also fail, then it tells us something about where the problem is.

Aobe After Effects and Premier Pro

Hi,
We currently have a suite of 23 iMacs running Mountain Lion and Adobe CS6 DS - we have now been asked if we can install Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier Pro - I know we could probably buy a bundle that includes the two but we already have the CS6 DS suite so there is no point doing this, how do I go about getting a download of this that I can then lisence and distribute to the iMacs in the suite?

No After Effects and Premier

Hi!
Already purchased Adobe Creative Cloud. I opened it on Adobe application manager, there were 14 Applications that were shown, none of them are for video. Adobe After Effects and Premier aren't there.Please Help

Both Premiere Pro and After Effects require a 64 bit processor running a 64 bit operating system.

If you're running a 32 bit operating system such as Windows 7 32 bit, neither AE nor PP will appear for download since they won't run on your system.
