Adobe After Effects Startup Error!

I just recently installed After Effects on my new PC and when I open the program it says: After Effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <1204> <GPUManager> <2> Sniffer Result Code: 1
What is going on and how can I fix this?

While we appreciate the full text of the error code, it would also help to have a bit more info such as what version of AE you're using (11.0.4? 12.2.0? 9.0.4?) as well as your computer's specs. GPU refers to your graphics card, but we don't know what card you have nor do we even know what operating system you have.
Without any further info, my best suggestion would be to download the latest update to After Effects and download the latest driver for your graphics card.

Adobe After Effect CS5 - Error Instal.

Hello!
I have a problem when install AAE CS5 on my PC with Windows 7 32bit.
Translate: Adobe After Effect can only be installed on system 64bit.
Any suggestions ?

After Effects CS5 and later is a 64-bit application.
Master Collection CS5.5 and Production Premium CS5.5 come with 32-bit After Effects CS4. See this page.

Install error on adobe after effects cs6 (error code 15)

I have Windows 8 and when I try to install after effects cs6 it gives me an error message saying ,"Inconsistency in the installer database. Please restart your computer and install again." it has error code of 15. How do I fix this? I've already tried restarting and lots of different things. Please respond if you have the same problem or know the answer please.

Something is blocking the communication of the auxilairy services (quicktimeserver) with AE. Check your firewall and virus scanner and make them behave. also make sure to run with sufficient user privileges.

Am I missing something here? Why is this process so complicated? I need to get this resolved asap and start working.

I originally had Adobe Photoshop Extended, then upgraded to the Production Suite. I ran the Adobe Cleaner, and that uninstalled most Adobe products, including my existing Adobe install, and then I re-installed everything with the same error code. Since CS4 came with CS5, I've installed AE CS4, but would really like to upgrade because I'm new to Creative Suite, and not sure how CS4 integrates with CS5...CS4 After Effects installed perfectly. I do have a 64 bit system, and installing to an OCZ Vertex 2....every other suite installs perfectly, except AE. And I think that is the coolest program in the Suite. I thank you all so much for taking the time to help, I really want to get AECS5 running...I did try to install after doing the recommended items Adobe suggests for Exit Codes 6 and 7, including turning off many startups...

Im really trying to get this up and running because my class has started using After Effects and im falling behind. Any idea on how to fix this?
Should be noted that all the other adobe software installed without any problems.

It says what it means: Download the MSVC runtimes from Microsoft and install them manually.

Adobe After Effects Cs6 Installation Error. HELP!

When i do my installation of Adobe After effects cs6, i install as trial version, because i want to see what it is like, and i do everything like everyone says, and then it stops at 2 percent saying Installation Failed and it comes up with these solutions, and i did them all about 5 times and it STILL wont work! SOMEBODY HELP!
And it also saidthis in the error summary:

Getting Error when downloading Adobe After Effects

Dear sir/madam
I have problem with downloading Adobe After Effects, i am using the default download manager (Adobe Download Assistant). when i add the product i get an error ( Error communicating with adobe.com(error 107)). Please help, i really need Adobe After Effects. It is urgent!!!

Which version of After Effects were you trying to download. We just made After Effects CS6 available. Is this what you were trying to download? If so where are you trying to save your download files too?

Adobe After Effects CC Font dictionary error then crashes.. HELP

I have recently installed adobe after effects CC and I cannot use it.
I have a windows 7 pro 64 bit system.
I get the following errors and have tried un- installing re-installing and deleting adobefnt files
nothing seems to work at this stage. Anyone know how to fix this problem for good?

Adobe After Effects not downloading... keep getting an Error 107

Adobe Download Assistant keeps giving me an Error 107 when I try to download Adobe After Effects. I restart ADA and try to download AE again but it keeps giving me the error. What is weird is that it will download the other software, but just not After Effects... please help!!

Adobe After Effects CS4 Crashes During Startup

Hey I have a major problem i think.. after I installed AAE CS4 I picked the trial to see how it was b4 i bought it. Once everything was installed and complete I restarted my computer but when I went to open the program it pulled the grey aae startup box. It had 4% complete and said Initializing Media Core then it just stops and minutes later crashes with not progress. It continually does it with no improvement. Anybody that can help me?

I did all of the above:
- 9.03 update
-   1. Go go Control Panel -> System-> Advance System settings
     2. Click Advanced tab, Performance -> Setting
     3. Click Data Execution Prevention -> Turn on DEP for all programs except those I select - > Here you click Browse and choose where your AE CS4 location is, and click Apply -> OK .
- Run as administrator
Nothing worked. I still get the crash at start-up with the message

Help me please, I have the 30 days trial and I desperately need to learn how this program works for a project. After that I want to buy it.
My system is 32bit Vista Windows, I installed AE CS4 (that's the last one to run on 32bit right?) and did an update to 9.03.

Trial version load file error: ... created with a newer version of Adobe After Effects

I downloaded and installed the trial version of Adobe After Effects 6.0 last night and worked on a project for quite some time. This morning, when I tried to open the project, it gave me: After Effects Error: this file was created with a newer version of After Effects [3.0 (unknown)] -- time to upgrade your application.
The message is annoying. This means that if anyone send me an After Effects File from future versions, I cannot load them. Even Microsoft has converters for backwards compatibility
It is costing me time to evaluate the product, and lowering my opinion of it since it obviously has bugs

Ah, I see. So you are using 6.0, not CS6? Yes, in that case things are just as they are - AE is not forward compatible. Only CS5.5 and CS6 allow to save one version back (that is CS5 and CS5.5, respectively), but beyond that AE never offered this feature. anyway, AE 6.0 is hopelessly outdated. It doesn't even work on contemporary operating systems nor does it work properly with current versions of Quicktime and just the same it doesn't support any modern media formats, so that's like trying to fly to the moon with a WW I. airplane... and to make matters worse - AE 6.0 was one of the most bug-ridden versions of the program in the first place.
