Adobe Air 1.5 refuses to install

Question

Hi,
troubles getting AIR installed, perhaps somebody can give me
a hint?
System is a Quad core, 4GB RAM, MS-Vista 64 bit with SP1 all
patches, Flash 10.0.12 installed.
"Adobe Air installer" version 1.5, started as Administrator,
hangs, no further messages.
Tried deinstalling: deinstalled Flash, rebooted, reinstalled
Flash, tried again. Same result
Two processes running:
"Adobe Air Installer.exe"
"AdobeAirInstaller.exe"

Just tried the update 1.5.0.7220. This worked. Existing
(already installed) AIR apps continue to work. It is now not
possible to install new apps. Really looks like an installer issue
in 1.5, unfortunalty.

tried to install another app, TMF video player from here:

Adobe AIR (now 1.5) says "an error occured" (very usefull :-(
) and I should download the newest version (which is already on the
machine).
Same result with EarthBrowser:

Any ideas?
