Adobe Air 1.5 version
I need the older air 1.5 version for my old iMac G4 PPC running 10.4.x and can't seem to find it anywhere on the adobe site. Anyone know to get it?

Browser compatibility for Adobe AIR (browser-based version)
Hi there,
I'm using RoboHelp 10 to create the browser-based version of Adobe AIR. My understanding is that this version of AIR uses Flash for some of the navigation, such as the table of contents.
Can anyone else share their findings on which browsers and Flash plug-ins will reliably display the browser-based version of AIR? I've found that it displays fine on IE 8, but not IE 9, and not Google Chrome (version 23).
Any advice would be appreciated.

I've spent more time looking at my project and I am not getting the results I need.
To summarize, I've created a browser-based version of Adobe AIR that is a local copy. It runs fine on IE 8, but not Google Chrome (version 23) or IE 9. I've also tried created a very small second RoboHelp project and I get the same results--the index.htm page is blank in Chrome and IE 9.
In Chrome, I've double-checked that it is running Flash version 11.5.31.5. I've noticed that Chrome changes my file path (see attached screen capture).
I'm at a loss to figure out why this is not displaying, as expected.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Adobe AIR compatible devices/versions?
I was wondering which android devices and/or versions work with Adobe AIR. I was also wondering this due to the error messages I receive when I try to download it. Attached is a screenshot of the tech specs of my tablet as well as screenshots of the error messages I receive when trying to download Adobe AIR.
If anyone happens to know the answers to these questions, i would be greatly appreciative. Thanks.

How can I download adobe air version 2.74 to my Mac OSX 10.5.8?
You can find the 2.7.1 version at Archived Adobe AIR runtime, SDK versions. The next version of AIR available was 3.0 and we are currently on 3.1. Did you have software which is referencing a 2.7.4 version or does 2.7.1 work?

Unable to install Adobe Air on MacBook Pro running OSX 10.7.2
I have been trying for a while today to install the adobe air product on my machine so I'm able to run the TweetDeck software. Unfortunately no matter what I do, the installation seems to fail. I've manually uninstalled old files. I've run suggested apple scripts suggested in other threads. I've repaired local disk permissions. You name it, I think I've tried it. Any assistance would be appreciated. I've included the console activity log for the last hour or so of trying to get it working. Thanks, Stephen

My suggestion would be to reinstall Lion from zero. No update.
I did that, and now I can install / uninstall Air without problems.

Adobe AIR won't install - error in CryptAcquireContext
Trying to install updated Adobe AIR. Failed to update, so uninstalled and tried again. Still fails. Problem is in MSI install, so that log is included as well.

It appears that the problem has been caused by a Microsoft Windows security update, KB2918614. This was applied to my PC on 14 August but I think it was released on 12 August.
I used Windows Update > View Update History > Installed Updates to uninstall KB2918614. After a Restart, I managed to install AIR.
My Windows version is Vista and I don't know if this problem and solution applies for other versions. -
Can't Install. An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR
I can't install Adobe AIR. I'm getting the infamous error:
"An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
I'm the administrator of the computer.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit.
I've tried the right-click-run-as-administrator solution and I'm getting the same error.
I've read Troubleshoot AIR installation | Windows and none of the solutions worked.
I'm installing the latest AIR version (I've tried older versions too)
I've tried Microsoft Install and Uninstall Fix It and AIR doesn't appear on the list of programs.

Can't Uninstall Adobe AIR From a Mac OS X System
I posted this question on Installation Issues and got no response. It really belongs here.
I started having major trouble with my Macbook Pro running OS X 10.6.7, after updating Adobe Flash and Air. The system is at a crawl, barely useable. I wanted to uninstall both, as a first step in exploring the problem.
Flash seemed easily uninstalled; there was little improvement, if any.
However, moving on to Adobe Air, I repeatedly ran the Adobe AIR Uninstaller.app Version 1.5.3 that's in my Utilities folder but that invariably opened a screen named "Adobe AIR Setup" that told me:
"Sorry, an error has occurred.
An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR. Installation may not be allowed by your administrator. Please contact your administrator."
I was not trying to install Adobe AIR, but to uninstall it. I was working in an account with Admin privileges.

Adobe won't be developing for 10.5.8 new features (including new runtime) only security relates updates for existing runtimes (Flash 10.3.*/Air 2.7.*). Flash 11/Air 3.0 are only supported on 10.6.8.*/10.7.*, see:

There is recent, lengthy thread on forums with Adobe's employees statements on that subject (support/development for 10.5.* and newer) but I cannot find it quickly as basically forum search is broken/hard to do,

Adobe Air is not installed on Mac 10.6.7

I read and reread all the discussions in here. Followed Chris's script repair nothing helped. Here is the my issue, after a fresh download of Adobe air, when I try to istall it nothing will happen. On the Adoe Air installer window it said 1of1 selected,Zero KB available. Then I found this in my folders, I mean user/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Air/updater. There is nothing in the updater folder. I trashed this air folder and reinstalled air, the same thing old story. If you like to see what is in my consol, here it goes

I get this Error Message after I tried to install "typeDNA" latest Version 2.2.0:
"It seems like Adobe Air is not installed. Please install it!"
If I press OK Button "Setup" says:

Internal Error: An Attempt was made to expand the "app" constant before it was initialized"
Befor that I updated Adobe AIR to latest Version (3?) with no Problems.

Flash Builder 4.6 keeps crashing with "Adobe AIR.dll_unloaded" error

I' m using Flash Builder 4.6 and keep encountering Windows error "FlashBuilder.exe has stop working" anytime.
Anytime means editing, building, switching workspace, closing Flash Builder.
Windows Event Viewer recognized this error as "Application Error" and detail information as following:

Currently my colleage and I will encounter this error about 4~5 times a day, and its very frustrating
If there is any suggestion ? Maybe I can update this dll file to newer version??
Thanks for reading this discussion~~I've been seeing what sounds like a similar problem (Windows application "BEX" error when attempting to close Flash Builder via its [X] icon).
(Win 7 Enterprise, SP1, 64-bit, i5 + 8GB RAM), Flash Builder 4.6, Java 1.7.0_07)
I tried the following:
-- Launching Tour de Flex (from the task bar icon), and then updating AIR to the latest version
-- Right-clicking on the Flash Builder task bar icon and then selecting "Run as Administrator"
-- Right-clicking on the Flash Builder task bar icon and then selecting "Troubleshoot compatability", then applying the compatability fixes it suggested.
Somewhere along the way, the problem went away. I then ran the compatability troubleshooter again and (I think) removed the compatability changes (since windows security was asking me whether I want to let the application update my computer every time I launched FlashBuilder--annoying!).
The problem still appears to be fixed--but only with a whole ten minutes testing. I'll just have to see if the above is really a fix/work-around. -
Error while trying to install Adobe AIR
i try to install adobe AIR on my macbook with osX Lion but when click on the installer the installation window does not appear.

I agree that an issue this severe needs to be made MUCH more visible until it is completely addressed. I had an incredibly problematic week because I was travelling and needed to run an AIR application on my Macbook in order to create and present application mockups to a major client. In the end I had to crate a virtual installation of windows XP and run the AIR application from there - knowing there was such a simple workaround would have made my life much easier! -

Compilation of adobe air app that uses ANE fails while using the flex ant tasks.
The resolution seems to be a hack - which when you rename .ane files to .swc, it works.

I'm using the following:
- Adobe AIR SDK & Compiler (version 3.7) for Mac OS X
- ActionScript Compiler 2.0
- Apache Ant wrapper located in "AIRSDK_Compiler/ant/lib/flexTasks.jar"

I don't think you need ANE when building swf component of your app. ANE is only required for packaging. By linking with external inapp.purchase.flash.swc you're just telling action script compiler that above symbols will be defined later (in ANE). -
