Adobe AIR 3.0 application loader error

I am trying to submit an update to my app using the Apple Application Loader. The prevous version of my app was made with an early version of Adobe AIR about a year ago.
My problem is when I upload my app I get an error, "The key UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities in the info.plist may not contain values that would prevent this application from running on devices not supported by previous versions".
I have edited the UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities key in the Infoadditions of the xml document. I included the camera and microphone capabilities so the app would only run on the iPod Touch 4th gen but this would still allow it to run on older iPhone models.
Are there any additional changes I need to make to be able to submit this app update?

Your earlier version may have been done with Flash CS5, which means it would run on armv6 devices, now it only runs on armv7 devices. You only have the choice of publishing it in CS5, or make it be a new app.

The Error Message 'Application descriptor file cannot be parsed' shows when compiling (Ctrl + Enter) Adobe AIR for Android applications on Flash Professional CS5.5
This is happening for most of the pupils and staff at our school and they are unable to complete their work.
This also happens on a fresh copy of windows and CS5.5 without any updates and also with all latest updates.
I have tried it on 32-bit and 64-bit CS5, Windows, Air and Java with the same error every time.
There are a small minority of users where this works fine for them with no issue.
I have tried re-setting user profiles.
I have tried a local admin and domain admin account with the same issue
I have noticed however that if the file is moved to the shared area it will compile. If it is on their documents area it will not compile. The users have full control in both locations. This is fine for staff but we are unable to give full control or modify access to the shared area for the pupil's
I have been through the online support section and it directed me to phone Adobe Customer care who informed me that all support has been discontinued for CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 and they will only support creative cloud.
Any ideas what to try next? There is no other information about this error and I cannot work out what is causing it.

I have tried and able to package an apk using your XML file.Could you please make sure your XML file starting from line 1 and coloumn 0.Any space will results in the error (Application Descriptor file cannot be parsed)

What do I need to do? Please help me.
Thank you.

@Marian Majewski-Sliwa
We looked into the info.plist file which you had shared but there appears to be no issue with the same.
If possible, could you please PM the packaged IPA file, all 3 ANEs which you have used in your project to help us investigate the issue further?

• Application Loader error, how to submit app for approval

Firstly, here's my info:
1) App is for iPad and iPhone/iPod Touch
2) Build using Flash CS 5 (Windows), packaged using Air 2.6 using ADT.
3) Successfully build and tested my .ipa file.
4) I just got a Mac OSX (I'm new to Mac) for submitting to Apple for approval.
When I submit my app using the Application Loader:
Error is: "Application failed codesign verification. The signature was invalid, or it was not signed with an Apple submission cartificate"
(read that I need to rename my .ipa to .zip and submit that, but it still gave the error)
Forgive me if this has been answered before, but it's bits and pieces of tips all over.
And I don't understand why I need to manually hack files when Adobe claims Flash can develope apps for iOS.
- ok, yes Flash can develope iOS apps, but with that statement, don't we all presume we can also submit it to the App store?
I've spent months optimizing the app from PFI builds to now using AIR 2.6.
Bought all the devices to test on. Now that I'm ready to submit it to Apple, I'm hitting the wall again.
I've gone through lots of tips but none works for me.
Can someone give step by step instructions?
Thanks,
-alfred

Ok, it was sweet while it lasted
Apple sent an email:
"Invalid Signature - Make sure you have signed your application with a distribution certificate, not an ad hoc certificate or a development certificate. Verify that the code signing settings in Xcode are correct at the target level (which override any values at the project level). Additionally, make sure the bundle you are uploading was built using a Release target in Xcode, not a Simulator target. If you are certain your code signing settings are correct, choose "Clean All" in Xcode, delete the "build" directory in the Finder, and rebuild your release target."
I'm sure I used the Distribution certs.
Since I'm using Flash and not Xcode, what are the possible problems?
I used adt -package -target ipa-app-store ....

Hello -
The below error is being received when submitting an app via Application Loader (3.0).
Application Loader ERROR ITMS-90072: "The IPA is invalid. It does not include a Payload directory."
Has anyone encountered this issue? If so, please advise on how to resolve.
Many thanks in advance.

This is an error with Apple's submission verification and you will need to open a developer support request with them. See Re: "Invalid Bundle." "...viewer.app does not support the minimum OS version specified in the Info.plist" for more details.

• Squareup integration with Adobe AIR based ios Application

Hi All,
Does anyone is having any experice to work with 'Squareup' i.e. https://squareup.com/
I want to integrate it with my adobe air based ios application. Is there any native extension is available for this?
Any information will be appriciated.
with Regards,
Shardul

Hi, please forget my last message. I was changing so many things I finished using a wrong mobileprovision. That's why I couldn't install the app in the device.
On the other hand I have found the problem. Some changes in one of our ANE were not tested in iOS 5.0.1 devices and it made the app crash because it found a Adobe Air 3.5 bug. Adobe fixed it in AIR 3.6

• 7940g application load error

Hi guys
I've recently purchased a 7940 ip phone of ebay in the hopes to familiarise myself with voice. Now i have been tinkering with various things but im still very much a newbie when it comes to telephony so please try and explain as much as possible it would help us all.
Now my problem is that when i plugged the phone in and connected it to my network the phone fails to boot and always has the error application load error, i plugged the phone into my pc and setup a tftp to see what files it was requesting from the server. the phone tries to request the following files
MGC001563383F61.cnf
SIP001563383F61.cnf
SEP001563383F61.cnf.xml
CTLSEP001563383F61.tlv
MGCDefault.cnf
SIPDefault.cnf
XMLDefault.cnf
after doing some reading im under the impression the phone should ask for either MGC, SIP or a SEP cnf file.
so my question is
does the phone require new firmware loading onto it
how do i go about changing the firmware
Again i am a newbie so please go easy, just a nudge a right direction and i should be able to sort the issue.
thanks in advance
Josh

Welcome to the world of VoIP.
Your phone will need to connect to something in order to get the files it needs. It will need to know where to go to get them. Normally in a voice environment, the DHCP server provides the IP address of the TFTP server using Option 150.
Most Cisco phones are used with a Cisco CallManager (server based) environment, or CallManager Express (router based) environment. The TFTP address is normally the address of one of these devices that is also hosting the TFTP services.
So the question would be:
1. Are you running CallManager, CallManager Express (CME), or something else? If something else, then what?
2. Did you set up an option 150 in DHCP for the phone? If not, did you manually assign the TFTP address on the phone itself?
Answer those two questions, and we can figure out the next steps.

• Adobe flash: iOS application loader error, error itms-90179 & itms-90096

Hi,
I made ipa file via flash pro cc 2014, then uploaded using application loader which is provided from Apple. (I don't use Adobe Flash Builder.)
The application loader shows 2 errors as below.
- I use the distribution provisioning profile, not the development provisioning profile.
- I made 960*640 app and it's OK on my iPhone 5. (Flash automatically generates the black space on the both sides.) Should I change my resolution for iPhone 5(1136*640)? If so, how can I support iPhone 4?

I solved 90096 error by adding [email protected] file to my root folder which has the .fla file.
I also added this image to Air for iOS settings > General > included file.

• Ad Mob not working in Application Loader Error

Hi Adobe AIR community,
I've been having this problem for a while now. Basically I have been using AIR for iOS 15.0, Flash CC (2014) and Milkman Games Ad Mob ANE v.4.4.0.
I can test my apps perfectly on both iPhone and iPad devices. The Ad Mob banner and full screen ads work very well while testing in a development environment.
When I try to upload my app to the App Store using Application Loader v3.0 I get an error stating "error ITMS-9000: Invalid Bundle. The bundle my_app.app does not support the minimum OS Version specified in the Info.plist"
Now funny thing is when I remove the ANE the app uploads to the App Store just fine.
I have been forced to stop using ads in my AIR for iOS apps since the release of iOS 8.
I have also contacted Milkman Games support but they tell me that I am the only one with the problem and that support tech can't recreate the problem.
Also I am using OSX 10.10.1 and I believe that xCode has been updated to version 6.1.1 (not sure if updating xCode makes any difference but I have updated it tonight and I have not tried to re-upload the app since)
Does anyone know what I can do? Any help would be very appreciated.
Thank you very much!

Hi Colin,
I have tried this and I still get the same error. I entered it in the xml file like this:
<iPhone>
<requestedDisplayResolution>high</requestedDisplayResolution>
<InfoAdditions>
<key>MinimumOSVersion</key><string>6.0</string>
<key>UIDeviceFamily</key>
<array><string>1</string><string>2</string></array>
</InfoAdditions>
</iPhone>

• Adobe AIR 3.7 - iOS run error

Hi,
I have set up a simple project to test the latest release of Adobe Air 3.7 which allow loading external swf with bytecode inside.
The project use the krpano_as3_interface, load the main krpano.swf, and after a simple xml file.
Building and running in iOs SImulator using my Flex IDe works fine, the panorama load.
Building and trying runnig on an iOs Device connected with USB doesn't works.
I get this error :

Following this blog article, http://blogs.adobe.com/airodynamics/2012…ir-apps-on-ios/, i correctly load krpano swf file. But it seems that adding krpano content on stage is not possible.
Any idea ?

• Adobe AIR HTML/JS application and Windows Native Installer

Hi,
I am building an Adobe AIR application with HTML and Javascript and I would like to know how to make an Windows Native Installer.
I am trying to build it with Flash Pro but it keeps returning the error 'Invalid SWF file'. At the application.xml file the
points to my index.html file. I don't use any SWF file. When I change this to point to the SWF it does build tha installer but the application loads the SWF.
Is there any way to build a Windows Native Installer and the initial content be an HTML file?
p.s. I tried to extract the files from the installer file and edit the application.xml there to point to the index.html. But I can't repackage the files to a valid air native installer.
Thank you.

Hi,
Thank you for reporting this. The internal bug number for the issue is #2740755. The issue is currently under review and will be investigated by one of AIR team members.

• Application Loader : Error ITMS-9000. Invalid Bundle

I have created an app with Adobe DPS. I tried to submit it with the Application Loader. I got "error ITMS-9000 "invalid Bundle. The bundle viewer.app does not support the minimum OS Version specified in the Info.plist."
Also an exclamation mark with "The app references non-public selectors in viewer.app/viewer: consume:
and
WARNING ITMS-9000: "The executable 'viewer.app' is not a Position Independent Executable. Please ensure that your build settings are configured to create PIE executables. For more information refer to Technical Q&A QA1788 - Building a Position Independent Executable in the iOS Developer Library."
Does anyone know how to deal with this?

This is an error with Apple's submission verification and you will need to open a developer support request with them. See Re: "Invalid Bundle." "...viewer.app does not support the minimum OS version specified in the Info.plist" for more details.

• Uploading Apps Problem from adobe DPS to Apple Application Loader

I have create an apps from adobe DPS builder, but when i upload via application loader, it show the dialogue box as below. What does it means? Any solution to solve this out? Thanks.

• Apple Application Loader error

Hello, I have a big problem trying to upload to the App Store my application.
I have compiled and packaged a new version of my app with AIR 3.0, previusly with AIR 2.7. When Application Loader makes the package check it tells me the following error:
iPhone / iPod Touch application is missing a required executable architecture. At least one of the Following architecture (s) Must be present: armv6
I have checked the Info.plist and appears armv7, I specified that also includes the armv6, and has been included, but still shows the same error.
I tried to recompile with AIR 2.7 and upload it, but gives the same error.
Has this happened to anyone? Any solution?.
Thank you!!

Unfortunately you have run into one of the App Store rules; you can't submit an update that drops support for devices that were able to run the app. By using AIR 2.7 or 3.0 you are ruling out devices such as the iPhone 3G, which presumably your original app supported.
You only have a couple of choices. Either take the FLA as CS5 and publish it from there (or the command line using PFI), or, submit it as a new app.
If it's a free app then there's not much issue, that's what the We Rule guys did a lot in the early days, just a slight app rename, and users would download the new app and throw away the old one. If it's a paid app you have to find a way to make a new version without upsetting old users. One idea I've suggested in the past is that as you can now support Retina display, you could call this one the "HD" version. If you start it off with a low intro price, hopefully original app users will cope with the switch.
