Adobe AIR Apps Won't Install!!! Help!

Please help me. Whenever I' try to install adobe air apps i get an error message:
"Something went wrong trying to install this application. Please install the latest version of Adobe AIR from http"//www.adobe.com/go/getair and then try again."
I've downloaded the latest version of adobe air every time and all it says is that my version is up to dat. It still doesnt work. Please help!

According to Adobe system requirement website, AIR is not compatible with os 10.5.7 - http://www.adobe.com/products/air/systemreqs/

Adobe air apps cannot be installed

Hi,
I have trouble with my PC to install any kind of adobe air app. When I start to install a Adobe air app, I get the UAC request and I confirm it but then the Adobe Air Application Installer.exe *32 is hanging and doing nothing.
When I repeat the process another Adobe Air Application Installer.exe *32 instance is started.
Here is my equipment and what I tried:
Equipment:
Windows 7 professional SP1 64 -Bit
- Reinstalling Adobe air with Revo Uninstaller(cleaning registry) and installing it new with Admin rights.
- Installing Adobe air in Windows XP Sp3 mode
- Multiple apps were tried and when I start them with the SDK, they are working fine.
- No information are available in the windows eventlogs
Any idea how to solve it or any possibility to start a debug tool to get more information?

I appreciate your support!
Sadly the Microsoft Install and Uninstall Fix It tool does not work, adobe air is still hanging during the app installation.
This is what I have done:
1. Uninstall Adobe air with the Microsoft Tool
2. Install Adobe air new
3. Try to install the app SmartClient.air -> Did not work
4. Try to install the app DesktopiPhone.air -> Did not work
Now I have 4 Adobe air instance in the task manager(see screenshot)

Adobe AIR Application won't install

Also, tried reinistalling latest version of Adobe AIR but a message appears saying that the latest version of Adobe AIR is already installed, even though I thought I had unistalled it with the help of Microsoft Fix it (i.e. it no longer appeared in the least of programs installed on the computer).
I am using a Samsung laptop with Windows 7.
Following my latest attempt to install the application, I located the Adobe AIR log:

Please note that I managed to resolve this myself by first of all deleting the Adobe AIR folder contained within C\Program Files (x86)\Common Files of my hard drive and then re-attempting the Adobe Air application installation. This immediately caused a prompting of an update to Adobe AIR, which I ran. It seems that the Adobe AIR application installation package contained an older version of Adobe AIR than was already installed within the 'Common Files' folder, and this apparently led to the error (sorry, I cannot explain it any more technical terms than that!).

Adobe air app integration with mac help

Hi all,
I want to intergrate my help with adobe air app on mac(so that it should look like mac help). But i am not able to do so as we need to add entry in the file info.plist for doing it. Can anyone please guide me on this. I have downloaded several application but not able to find any application with help intergrated in it. Most of the sample apps don't have any help and the remaining apps send the link to their website for help.
Any suggestion/ guidance in this regard would be great

AIR App won't install if different certificate is used

Hello!
I've taken over a project that was previously developed by another company.
Now I'm using my own certificate to codesign the air application. The problem is now, that the air installer won't allow to install the application if the old application (codesigned with the certificate of the previous developer) is installed on the system. It doesn't even say that there's a codesign problem it just drops the error (translated from german:)
Unfortunately an error happened.
This application cannot be installed because of a wrong installer configuration. Contact the application author

if i check the system.log, i can see:
Installer[1190]: The certificate of the installed app fails to match either the signature or migration signature of the AIR file
if I uninstall the old version of the app first, then the installer will install the application without problems.
However - this application will be distributed to many clients. It will be quite confusing for them If they just see the error (cannot be installed because of a wrong installer configuration. Contact the application author.)
What's the reason for this error message and is there a way arround it?

Adobe AIR apps won't open

I have all of the sudden had issues with all of my AIR applications. I recently tried installing 2 new ones and the icon will bounce in my dock for a few seconds before disappearing as if it were quitting before anything happened. Installations of the apps seem fine, but the app just won't open. Seesmic desktop told me that I could not update, as well. Something about checking my logs, but to my knowledge I haven't messed with AIR since I got Seesmic. Should I uninstall then reinstall?

You might want to try reinstalling the AIR runtime to see if that helps. It would also be interesting to try installing a new AIR app (like tweetdeck for example) to see if that is also effected.

IOS AIR app won't install with new certificates

I've been devloping my first iOS app in AIR for a few months. Testing on up to 3 devices has gone fine. It's time to submit to the app store. I'm developing for a client who wants the app in their name in the app store. So they set up an Apple iOS developer account and gave me access. When I made a new set of certificates and profiles with the new account the app failed to install on my testing device. I've remade all the certificates multiple times and double checked that I have the correct UUID and am not using a distribution profile.
Is there a problem using someone else's account with keys and certificates made on my mac? What else can I try?

Need configure wifi, but adobe air cd won't install, why?

Am trying to configure wifi after installing new motorola wireless modem sbg901 and am trying to run the cd wifi instrux.
It asks to install Adobe Air, but it won't install. Why can't I install Adobe Air?

It appears that something is wrong with my laptop... because the downloaded file stalls at the same point as the disc. While it still says "Installing Shared components". This is when the green progress bars stop(about 10% of the way) and the HDD activiity light on the laptop stops as well.
Back when I reinstalled windows, I had some issues updating. Once I got to a certain point, one of the updates would render my laptop screen completely blank.... so after reinstalling a few times, I stopped installing updates at a certain point... though I did make it to Service Pack 2.
That's the only reason I can think of, as to why the program won't install. It's really odd.
BTW: I did shut down the antivirus while attemptinng Premiere install.

Adobe Air Linux won't install on Eee PC

Twitter but it's hard 140 chars at a time...
I'm trying to install Air on my Eee PC 701, which runs
Xandros Linux. I know this isn't a supported distro but I know some
others have got it to work.
When I run the installer, running as root, I get the licence
panel and then click "I Agree". I then see the "Adobe AIR Setup"
panel and the progress indicator goes abot 3/4 of the way along
before it stops and displays the message: "Sorry, an error has
occurred" "An error occurred while installing Adobe AIR.
Installation maynot be allowed by your administrator. Please
contact your administrator"
As advised, I've done a chmod +x on the installer. I've tried
to capture the .airinstaller.log file but it doesn't exist. If I
created it, nothing is added to it by the installation.
I do have a bunch of files in /tmp/airCrashLogs - are they of
interest to you? I've also noticed some messages appearing in
~/.xsession-errors.

First of all as your AIR installer is crashing, so please
check if you have sufficient free memory available (more then
around 200 MB to be on safer side).
The please repeat these steps on terminal:
1. touch ~/.airinstall.log
2. chmod +x Desktop/AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
3. Desktop/AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
this will popup the GUI for installation, proceed to the
point it goes
when installer has failed or crashed open the log file in any
editor
4. vim ~/.airinstall.log
or
gedit ~/.airinstall.log or kate ~/.airinstall.log
and copy the contents of log (~/.airinstall.log) and send
them to syed-attherateof-adobe-dotcom

.air files (Air apps) won't install

Hello everybody.
After having successfully installed the latest AIR runtime, I downloaded an .air app and tried to execute it, to no avail. First off, the .air file was not associated with anything, therefore Windows asked me what application I would want to run it with. I then tried to associate it with airappinstaller.exe that can be found under Program Files\Flash Player\Addins, but any time I execute it I get a message saying that there was a problem and I should try to install the latest AIR runtime (which I have already).
I'm kind of lost, what's the problem and how should I deal with it?

Glad you were able to work around the problem. The latest runtime shouldn't have issues making the appropriate .air extension association. If possible, try uninstalling and reinstalling the AIR 2.0.3 runtime. If you still run into problems, please post your installer log file so we can try and dig deeper.

Can not install CS6 Extended. Receive error that I need Adobe Air it won't install

I can not install I am running Windows 7, Service Pack 1. Installer starts but sits for hours not doing anything.
I have uninstalled Adobe Air, reboot the computer and tried to install again with same error.
Any suggestions? I was on hold for 2+ hrs with support tonight and they never answered my call!

Thank you for your response. I finally set my computer to a previous date and updated. I had recently installed several updates to Microsoft and Adobe Flash.

IPad Air apps won't install Shows as intalled

I have downloaded apps from app store they show as being installed while downloading then go away and do not show on iPad after downloads completes. When I check the app store they show as intalled with an open button next to them. Clicking on the open button does nothing app will not open. This is my first iPad so there is not an issue with a former iPad. iTunes also shows missing apps installed.

Yea I tried that one as well all no go. I am thinking I may have used the wrong terms to describe what the app store icon show when open and listing what is on the iPad. The app icon appears with the word "open" next to it when the app store purchased file is open. But clicking on it does nothing.
I have even watched the icon appear during the install the once it completes it disappears. I guess a trip to the genius bar may be in my future I have tried everything short of a complete restore.

HELP! - Can't update Adobe Air Apps - Application Install Error

I have several Adobe Air Apps on my Mac OSX (10.9.4) MackBook Pro. They won't update due to the following Install Error.
"The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem. The certificate does not match the installed application certificate, does not support application upgrades, or is invalid. Please contact the application author."
Following the above instructions, I've been contacting the authors of my Adobe Air Apps and they are telling me that it is not their problem. The Apps should simply update without difficulty.
I searched the "Google" and found no fix other than uninstall and reinstall Adobe Air. Did this and the problem persists.
If you can help me get beyond this issue and back to productivity, I'd be very appreciative.

I had a similar problem when trying to install Zinio.air. I have made it all work out. What i did was remove Adobe Air 15 entirely from the Utiliites and Library/ accounts and preferences. I then downloaded Adobe Air 13 and installed and then clicked on Zinio .air and it all installed ok. I also had to temporarily change security settings from Apple approved to Anywhere. All functioning now.

Creative Cloud Desktop app won't install error 207; Adobe server?

Is there a problem with some of Adobe.com servers? My employer just purchased a CC subscription for my work Mac, and the CC Desktop App won't install. I've restarted my Mac, quit all Adobe products, redownloaded the DMG file (creativecloudinstaller.dmg), and checked to make sure my firewall is off. But I still get an error message #207. My DNS servers are set to the same ones that other Macs in my group are set to, and they have CC on their Macs.
I don't know if it's related, but I can't load "adobe.com" in my browser, either. All other webpages are fine, including (obviously) this forum.
I am using OS 10.8.5, connected via Ethernet, and my browser is Chrome.

The company had revised their servers not long ago, and evidently did not transfer their old whitelists (which is why my coworkers had previously been able to access Creative Cloud). The phone support person emailed me a helpful list that I could forward to our company's tech support center—but the link you supplied in your response was also perfectly relevant.

Cannot install Adobe Air on new MacBook Pro - Help!

I have a brand new MacBook Pro and I am trying to install a program from Real Networks called Rinse (cleans up your iTunes). When installing Rinse, I get a message that says the program requires Adobe Air and that I will need to download and install it. I have downloaded the Adobe Air install program from the Adobe site, however when I go to install it, it either does nothing at all---or it gives me an error message that I need Adobe Air in order to install Adobe Air (makes no sense). Specifically, I get the message below:

I would recommend you try downloading Adobe Air from this link : Get Adobe Air.
You will have to manually select the operating system and version before you begin the download.
