You should try to be less one sided and give the OP the whole story. But it's ok, I will do it for you.
Apple has built the Mobile Safari Browser in a way that prevents it from supporting ANY plugins. Adobe Flash, Java, Silverlight, and even Apple's very own Quick time.
In order for a plug-in to be able to run inside the mobile Safari browser Apple would have to remove this restriction.
Untill that happens, no amount of magic, hard work, or miracles will allow Adobe or even Apple themselves to put a plug-in inside that browser.
This is why when you attempt to download flash for it you get the very honest and upfront answer from Adobe...
"Thanks for trying to access Flash Player. Unfortunately it is not available for your device because of restrictions that Apple has put in place. Click here to see a wide array of the latest smartphones and tablets that do support Adobe's Flash Player."

  • Updating Adobe and Flash Player

I am 100% unable to update Adobe Reader 10.1.9.22, nor an I able to update Flash PLayer for IE 11.9.900.170 for Chrome on my old pc (no, not a laptop or tablet or anything fancy..this pc is at least 8 years old).
For some reason, the pc won't allow me to do updates for these, even after trying ALL reccommened advice fromt he website. I need a person who KNOWS what they are doing and can help me using that remote thing IT's and hackers know how to do...where I watch you fix this from your location on my home pc.
HELP NEEDED!!! I can't get very many graphics at all, can't play most games and the pc is lagging in speed now. I have defragged the pc and removed cookies and caches like I am suppose to. I am almost 100% computer illiterate (I"m getting old).
Thank you to ANYONE who can fix this remotely!

Chrome has its own "proprietary" plugin ("PepperFlash") which is embedded by Google and you cannot update it here. "Not no way, not no how."
You MUST update Chrome to update the Flash Player in it. (Even if that means completely uninstalling and reinstalling it, as I have to do on each of eight machines where I have chrome installed.)
    There are "offline" FULL Installers:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
and Reader's offline FULL installer can be downloaded here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
NONE of these require any additional downloading. YOu simply "save" them, close your browser, and run them.

  • Films downloaded won't play.I just get a black screen. My computer crashed last week and I had to do a 'total recovery' - an important link is missing... anyone any idea what it could be? I have updated iTunes and Quick Player

Films that I have downloaded from iTunes won't play. I just get a black screen. My computer crashed last week and I had to do a Total Recovery - Films played perfectly before this. I must have deleted a program or link.............. anyone know what could be missing? I can play YouTube videos etc. but nothing in the iTunes store - films or trailers won't work.

The movie is from iTunes.   You would think that a download from iTunes to a MacBook could be watched on an HDTV using Apple TV without any headaches bit this does not appear to be the case.

  • Flash Player 10.1 Beta, Adobe, and Nvidia

Isn't it a bit... monopolistic of Nvidia and unfair on Adobe's part to have GPU-acceleration of H.264 video on ONLY select ATI and Intel chips, yet support a wide range of GeForce-based mobile and desktop GPUs?
I am reading the release notes found here, and I am absolutely appalled that with Adobe working with Nvidia, that Adobe hasn't considered working with ATI and even Intel to work on more GPU compatibility.  In the end, this looks like who is throwing the most money around to get near-exclusivity on the next version of Flash.  What's next?  Adobe going to put "The way it's meant to be played" © on Flash Player?
I have an ATI HD3870 desktop version, but you only support hardware acceleration on the mobile version.  What?  That doesn't make sense.  And, the only desktop-based GPU for consumers is the HD4000 series.
This is supposed to be the next version and next iteration of Flash-- version 10.1. This isn't supposed to be an Nvidia-mostly-exclusive software upgrade. And, according to the other article on Engadget, this only benefits the most those who have Nvidia GPUs, especially ION-based chipsets.
There is already GPU-acceleration in the current version, 10.0, but it's still not much as it will still take a significant amount of CPU processes; and this is on XP, Vista, and 7.  And, version 10.1 is supposed to be a marked improvement over it. Now, it's looking like the only improvement will benefit Nvidia more than its competitors-- ATI and Intel.
So, let me ask you-- the people behind Adobe and Flash Player: Will there be more GPU compatiblity besides the small number of ATI and Intel GPUs?

Something is wrong here with that list.
It's either Nvidia threw a lot of money Adobe's direction and we're going to have another "The way it's meant to be played" in the next Flash Player update, or this is a driver issue. What is it?

  • Has Adobe and Apple had any meaningful discussions on Flash Player not working on iPhone and iPad?

Several applications I try to use on my iPhone and iPad says, "Apple restricts use of technologies required by products like Adobe Flash Player. Until Apple eliminates their restrictions, Adobe cannot provide Flas Player for the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. It would be nice if Adobe and Apple would solve their issues so we can use Adobe Flash Player.

Yeah, it's probably not a driver thing.  If you haven't rebooted already, definitely do that.  It might just be that the graphics hardware is in a bad state.
The last thing we shipped was December 9th, so it's not like Flash Player changed.  If these symptoms just started recently, it seems unlikely that a recent change to Flash is the root-cause.  It's possible that Chrome might have pushed a change since then, but I talked to the Chrome guys yesterday and they didn't mention anything about a widespread video playback problem.  They have really excellent telemetry, so they usually know pretty quickly when things break.
It might be that your Chrome install is somehow damaged, and you could do a complete uninstall/reinstall of Chrome to see if the issue goes away.  You can also disable hardware acceleration in Chrome itself (it's under Preferences > Advanced > System > Use hardware acceleration if available) to see if that helps.
Is the issue isolated to a specific video or video site/sites?  Does it happen in either Internet Explorer or Firefox (they're both significantly different copies of Flash Player, which would be an interesting data point)?

  • Adobe Reader 11.0.03 and Flash Player 11.8.800.94 Not Working on Windows 8

On a computer running Windows 8 Enterprise, Adobe Reader 11.0.03, and Flash Player 11.8.800.94, I am unable to open a flash-enabled PDF.  Reader gives me the error "To view the Flash technology content in this PDF file, please install this version of Flash Player that supports Adobe Reader and Acrobat."  Adobe's Flash verification page shows me that Flash Player is working, and I can open other basic PDFs in Reader.  I have another machine with an identical setup, except that it has Acrobat 11.0.03 instead of Reader, and the PDF opens just fine on that machine.  Why won't Reader open the Flash-enabled PDF?

You will need to apply for both Reader and Flash Player Distribution agreements if you intend on enterprise deployments of these products.

  • I can't get the websites like youtube, facebook, etc to load. everything comes up as just text/words. i've downloaded adobe flash and real player on windows xp.

i have windows xp. i just got the computer and internet on it. i downloaded adobe flash and real player. but i still can't get sites like facebook and youtube to work. i always get popups that ask if its a trusted site and to add the exception, which i do. yahoo and msn work, i can see photos and pictures and images just fine, but facebook and youtube are still all just words and error messages. any suggestions besides what i've already tried? i'm not tech savvy so step by step is how i learn best!

Check the date and time and time zone in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details" to expand this section.
If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
*Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
*Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the <b>issuer of the certificate</b>.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If <b>"I Understand the Risks"</b> is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
*Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
*Note that it is not recommended to add a permanent exception in cases like this, so only use it to inspect the certificate.

  • How can I get serial numbers or the free versions of Adobe, Air, Flash Player 14, and Reader XI Pro

How can I get serial numbers or the free versions of Adobe, Air, Flash Player 14, and Reader XI Pro that I had installed on my computer before Microsoft crashed my computer and I had to do a fresh install? I finished reinstalling Win 8.1Pro on my computer thanks to Microsoft Lvl 1 Techies corrupting my Command Structure so nothing would work. I had recently taken a picture of my installed programs (control panel, uninstall programs list) so that I would be able to reinstall everything I needed. I can't seem to find an email for the Reader which I remember paying for, the others I believe were free installs. Can anyone help me out.

There is an update available for Safari for version 5.1.1

Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen the click Software Update
Restart your Mac after the updates are installed.
    Try full screen ...
If you have problems using Software Update from the menu you can use the standalone installer here >  Safari 5.1.1

    Hello,
TenFourFox is the most up to date browser for our PPCs, they even have G4 & G5 optimized versions...

Flash is a nightmare, but my notes on that...
Look for this for the Standalone player "Download the Macintosh Flash Player 10 Projector content debugger (ZIP, 5.95 MB)"
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html#prob1=uninst,os=m10.6,
    Download this if you haven't...
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1.102.6 4_and_9.0.289.0archive.zip
Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file.
Look for the fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install... they don't make it easy!

(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, contributor Texas Mac Man suggests the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the latest version:)
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.
