Thank you.

I would recommend starting by running the Adobe Support Advisor - http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/ to automatically review your installation log.
Alternately you can review your installation log manually by following the steps listed in Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • How to custom install Acrobat XI via Adobe App Manager (I don't want Office integration)

    Hi
I am a Creative Cloud paid member with access to the Adobe App Manger. When I download and install Acrobat XI (also happened with older versions) it just installs the full version of the software, so it messes with my Microsoft Office program sepcifically with Word, installing macros or whatever. So every time I run Word, I get errors.
I need to install Acrobat XI as a stand alone program, so I can choose CUSTOM installation. But, since I am doing it via the Adobe App Manager, I have no control over this.
    Please help, thanks

    Hi alexanderschek,
After installing Acrobat via Adobe App Manager, you can go to Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features(windows 7, something similar should exist for other OSes too). You will see a list of all the applications installed on your computer. There you can select Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and click on the change button above. A windows Installer dialog for Adobe Acrobat will be shown. Select modify and click next. Now you will get a dialog similar to the CUSTOM installation dialog.  You can select/deselect features as per your requirement and that should solve your problem. As per your requirement you might want to deselect the feature: "Create Adobe PDF-> Acrobat PDFMakers->Microsoft Office". Hope this helps.

  • I just purchased CC.  The adobe app manager will not install.  any suggestions?

It says, other INSTANCES of adobe app manager are currently running...   ?

    Hi Chris,
It seems there are mulitple installation instances of Apllication Manager running.
Hereby, either you can quit those extra instances from Activity Monitor on Mac or Task Manager on Windows.
Or you can restart the machine and try to download Creative Cloud from below link.

    Hope this helps.
Please let me know if you face any problem.

  • How to fix Adobe App Manager error code -60 Download appears corrupt but only for Photoshop CS6 app

How to fix Adobe App Manager error code -60 Download appears corrupt but only for Photoshop CS6 Creative Suite Cloud App. Many attempts were made to install Photoshop CS6 with Adobe Application Manager without success. Every other Creative Suite Application was successfully downloaded. I keep getting Installation Failed when attempting the Photoshop install. How does one correct this?

Thanks Jeff! So, it totally appears as if it was a network issue. The corporate network where I work is quite likely the culprit. Where I was thrown off is that since I have admin rights on my computer, I can install software. But using Adobe Application Manager to install Adobe software wasn't working. And to make matters worse, there didn't appear to be any way to install Acrobat Pro for Mac without using AAM. The workaround that I used previously was to install the trial versions of Adobe software, and then just register them using my username and password. But the workaround for being able to install everything using AAM was to bring my computer home and download from my home network.

  • Adobe App Manager no longer works

For some reason my Adobe App Manager does not work on my Macbook. It orginally did but one day it just would not launch. After numerous attempts of uninstalling and re-installing without success, the only workaround solution was to create another user on my Macbook and install the Application Manager on that user's account. I can then download the apps / programs and updates from there. When I log out of that user and back into my main account the Adobe programs work....well most of them. I have noticed that certain programs, like Muse will launch and work correctly under my second user account but it will not luanch without error on the main account.
Everything worked fine one day, then its all messed up. Switching users is not an ideal solution at all. I have spent numerous attempts using Adobe chat but no one can seem to give me a solution that works.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a solution?

Kmonk9000 if you are facing so many issues under your original user account I would recommend migrating your documents and settings to a new user account.
You are welcome to attempt to track down the numerous locations your file permissions for your current user account have become compromised however.  I would recommend you begin by looking at your installation logs to determine where you faced file permission failures.  Please see Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html for information on how to review the logs.

  • If I buy a new hard drive reinstall my OS and Adobe apps, will this count as installing on 2nd comp?

If I buy a new hard drive, or format my current one and reinstall my OS and Adobe apps, will this count as installing on a 'second computer'? If so, how then do I go about ACTUALLY installing the apps on a second computer if I'm unable to 'de-register' the 'first' one because it was on an old hard drive?

    TheTx,
Yes! you can simply go ahead and deactivate the product before wiping your hard drive. This would simply reset the counter back to 0 and you will be able to activate the product on the new machine as well .

  • Problems with Adobe App Manager installation.

When I try to run the Adobe App manager a message appears saying it is corrupted and I need to reinstall it. But when I try to do it another one comes stating that "Adobe App Manager failed to install". What do I need to do to fix this problem?

    Hi,
Could you please follow this step and let me know if it helps.
Rename the OOBE Folder to OOBE.old from this location.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
Once done then please download Creative Cloud Desktop App from creative.adobe.com.
Please let me know if it helps.

  • I try to download components for CS Cloud. Adobe Application Manager freezes. Working with Win XP

I try to download components for CS Cloud. Adobe Application Manager freezes. Working with Win XP. What can I do?

You need to provide a lot more info like what apps you are trying to download, what exactly seems to be going on, exact system specs, Internet connection info, whether AAM is up to date and so on....

  • Adobe Application Manager says Lightroom is installed. Its not.

I have been migrating my apps to a new drive and now I cant install Lightroom couse Adobe Application Manager says Lightroom is installed allready. What to do???

We have to Re-name the OOBE folder and so we will be able to install the software from AAM, once it is installed we can undo the OOBE folder.
    Mac HD> Application support > Adobe> OOBE
    For 32 bit :  C:\Program Files > Common Files > Adobe\ OOBE
    For 64 bit: C:\Program Files( X 86) > Common Files > Adobe\ OOBE
You can re-name the OOBE folder as OOBE.old.
Note: Please don't forget the Re-name the OOBE.old as OOBE once the software is installed.

    Change your iTS password!!!!
Are these charges from Adobe or Apple?
Are these purchases from the App Store or iTunes Store?
Contact your credit card company and dispute the charges. Apple and Adobe will do nothing for you - it is your CC issuer that can help.
As noted these are user to user discussions. None of us here work for Apple or Adobe.

  • Adobe Application Manager freezes during install

    Hi all,
I'm trying to install the Adobe Application Manager on my Mac Book Pro with OS X 10.82. After double clicking on the AdobeApplicationManager.app the progress window appears, but after a few seconds it freezes. :-( I have to force quit the installer. Any ideas?
    Thanks!

If you have Creative Suite 5.1 installed then a version of Adobe Application Manager should be present in your Applications/Utilities folder.  Please try uninstalling Creative Suite from the Applications/Utitlies/Adobe Installers folder.  Once it is uninstalled you can safely remove the Adobe Application Manager folder and then try reinstalling again from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774.

  • Adobe application manager fails to update/install

Please help me resolve this error and update App Manger properly.
I have downloaded and am running Creative Cloud CS6 versions of Illustrator and Photoshop that I installed back in Decmember.  Now I'm trying to download more applications and am encountering this error:
I click 'download' on InDesign (for example)
Download initiates launch of Application manager, App manager opens main window then "initializing installer window"
Application manager flashes this warning for a split second: "other instances of adobe application manager are currently running which must be closed before installing this product. Please close or wait for them to complete." (see image). This warning closes on its own after just a second.
Then it continues to install for a few minutes, asks for my password then fails with the message, "We've encountered the following issues, Adobe Application manager failed to install" (no error number, see image)
Photoshop and Illustrator still run fine, but none of my Adobe apps (including Air) will update properly now. I have tried deleting the App Manger files from applications > utilities and re-installing, but that also creates an error.
I have searched for duplicate app manager files but have come up empty.  I've run the support advisor app and it checks out fine.  I have a token from that if it helps.
I'm running iMac 10.6.8 and I also have CS5 installed on this computer if it makes a difference.
Any help would be appreciated.   I'd like to be able to run the apps I'm currently paying a monthly fee for.

I'm going to write this information cause it was so darn frustrating and after two days I finally got it - so here goes - resolution:
I'm running windows 7, and was trying to download cloud which apparently I was forced to do based on my subscription base (was on CS6 before that)
Step 1: start task manager and close ALL adobe running apps including akami session
Step 2: click on the windows icon and type in search bar %appdata%, enter
Step 3: in browser bar above of folder, click on "appdata" (my file directory when i typed step two was C:\Users\study\AppData\Roaming, and I need to be be at C:\Users\study\AppData)
Step 4: Click Local, then Adobe, then oobe, delete the oobe file
Step 5: Go the the following to download the "cleaner tool": http://download.macromedia.com/pub/creativecloud/cleanertool/win/Adobe_Creative_Cloud_Clea ner_Tool.zip
Step 6: Unzip the file and click on the AdobeCreativeSuiteCleanerTool.exe, that was in my directory as follows (dependent on where you download and unzip of course) C:\Users\study\Downloads\adobe_creative_suite_cleaner_tool (1)\win
Step 7: select (e) in the black box for "english", select (y) for yes, select creative cloud (whichever option # that is) and again anything with creative cloud (this did NOT delete my other adobe files, which I feared may - but I was simply instructing it to clean/delete the creative cloud.
Step 8: close the black window
Step 9: Click here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773  and download the creative cloud adobe application manager
    Step 10: Run the application
Step 11: Log in and download the software you want
If that doesn't work, what I did is between steps 4 and 5 I restarted my computer, then I went into task manager and closed all adobe apps.  I'm not sure I had to do this step but I was desperate after 2 days doing whatever.  Each tech person gave me different information.  The last person helped me best, but I spoke with her via chat AFTER I had rebooted the computer.  If you need support click http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html and I personally did the "chat" so I wouldn't have to wait.
Hope this helps anyone who hasn't figured it out!

  • Invalid signature when trying to install Photoshop CC extension using the Adobe Extension Manager CC and default installed Photoshop CC extensions won't load

I have a Creative Cloud subscription for Photoshop CC. All Creative Clouds products are updated to the latest versions. When I tried to install Tony Kuyper's TKActionv3 Photoshop extension using the Adobe Extension Manager CC on my PC desktop, I received an error message that the extension contained an invalid signature and wouldn't be installed. I had previously installed the extension on my laptop without any problems. At the same time, I also noticed the default installed Photoshop CC extensions (e.g., Adobe Exchange, Kuler, Mini Bridge, Behance) could not be loaded using the Windows/Extension command. I receive an error message that the command could not be completed because the extension could not be loaded. After contacting Tony Kuyper, he suggested that I try the steps mentioned in the following weblink: https://forums.adobe.com/message/6029768. The steps basically consist of uninstalling and reinstalling all the Creative Cloud apps associated with Photoshop CC. I tried the steps multiple times, but I am still having the same problems. I can find the default installed Photoshop CC extensions on my machine, so I don't know why they can't be loaded.
    Thanks for your assistance,
    Mark Curtis

    Hi Mark
You say everything is up to date?  And you have tried reinstalling all the CC apps?  Is Windows also fully up to date?  Hmmm...  That could be tricky.
What version of Windows are you using?  Have a look in Task Manager > Processes and see if 'CEPServiceManager.exe *32' is listed as running?
If not, I don't know where it would be installed from, and we'd need someone like Chris Cox to join the thread to tell us, but my guess is that it would install along with the CC Desktop Application Manager.  Windows 8.1 can be problematic, and a bit fussy about the order of things, and it is definitely worth adopting best practice when installing your CC apps.  That means restarting your computer, and right clicking the Desktop Application manager and running as Administrator.
How many CC apps are you running?  If just Photoshop, Bridge, Expansion manager etc. then - and I hate to say this - perhaps have another go at reinstalling, but run the Cleaning tool after uninstalling.
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
Try some other Extensions before the Tony Kuyper's TKActionv3.  GuideGuide is a favourite of mine, as well as Dmonzon tools, and maybe Russell Brown's Flypaper Textures.
I have to say that I have had problems with the CC Extension Manager a while back, but simply reinstalling just the Extension Manager fixed it.  Perhaps CEPServiceManager.exe *32 installs with Extension Manager?  Heck, maybe start with just trying that before reinstalling all your CC apps.
If you are still stuck, I'd risk sending Chris Cox a PM, but not until you triple check that your video card driver is up to date from the card maker's website.
Good luck, and be sure to let us know how you get on.

  • Lightroom not appearing in Adobe App Manager

Ok- that makes sense (though it might be helpful in the future when one clicks the download button and takes them to the app manager, there is some kind of notification about not being able to download and install, instead of just not showing up).
But I also have the same problem with Lightroom. Click download in cloud, but doesn't show up in App Manager. And the tech specs say Lightroom supports Vista. Thoughts?
    Ian

Well typically if it is missing it is due to not meeting the system requirements or having an older version of the Adobe Application Manager installed.  If you are sure that you meet and exceed the requirements then I would recommend the following steps to ensure that you do not have any additional difficulties.
Remove all Adobe Creative Software that is currently installed on your computer.
Once removed run the CS Cleaner tool - CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
    Delete the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\ folder
Reinstall the Adobe Application Manager from https://creative.adobe.com/.
The CS Cleaner tool may not be necessary for this process but if you are going to invest the time with removing all of the Adobe Creative Software then it would be best to follow with the cleaner tool.
