Adobe app manager won't launch
Hi there,
I'm trying to download additional software from the creative cloud. When the adobe site launchers the app manager on my mac, two red icons bounce - as if loading - then disappear.
How to do i get the app manager to launch correctly, or is there another way i can download the software.
thanks
Install the latest version of Adobe Application Manager 6.2 from the below link and try downloading the applications.
http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
In case of same issue, Go To adobe.com and Download the trial version of the software you are attempting to install. Once installed, sign in using the Adobe ID assigned to your Creative Cloud Membership.

Adobe Application Manager won't launch
Running Mac OSX Lion on Macbook Pro with Adobe Creative Cloud. When I try to launch Acrobat Pro, Application Manager tries to launch, but no options come up. Happens every time I try to launch Acrobat, so Acrobat won't work. Suggestions? I noticed there is no uninstall for Application Manager. Can I just trash it and try to reinstall?
Hi Dave,
Has Acrobat X ever worked? I wouid try running the uninstaller for Acrobat from Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers if avaiable, rebooting, and then launching the Adobe Application Manager first from within Applications and then reinstalling Acrobat.
-Dave -
As soon as I click on the Adobe Application Manager, it quits. Has anyone else had this issue? Suggestions?
So you just installed the Adobe Application Manager from https://creative.adobe.com/? Your operating system version could be part of the problem as well. You will need to have at least Mac OS 10.6.8 installed in order to use a majority of the applications included within Creative Cloud.

Any suggestions ?
VicThe Adobe Application Manager is normally started from Photoshop menu Help>Updates. Is this what you referring to or are you referring to the Creative Cloud desktop application?

Adobe Application Manager Won't Open and CC Desktop failed to install
I am running Win 7 Ultimate. Adobe Application Manager Won't Open and CC Desktop failed to install on my computer after I signed up for Adobe CC tonight. I am currently using the CS5 suite (perpetual license) and do not want to uninstall any of the programs until I am successfully running the Adobe CC versions. The AAM gives me an error message saying that it failed to open when I select it, and the creative cloud installer fails to install. I have tried restarting my computer. Help? This is very frustrating. I am a student and use this software on a daily basis, and can't afford to not have these programs available when I need them.

Adobe App Manager no longer works
For some reason my Adobe App Manager does not work on my Macbook. It orginally did but one day it just would not launch. After numerous attempts of uninstalling and re-installing without success, the only workaround solution was to create another user on my Macbook and install the Application Manager on that user's account. I can then download the apps / programs and updates from there. When I log out of that user and back into my main account the Adobe programs work....well most of them. I have noticed that certain programs, like Muse will launch and work correctly under my second user account but it will not luanch without error on the main account.
Everything worked fine one day, then its all messed up. Switching users is not an ideal solution at all. I have spent numerous attempts using Adobe chat but no one can seem to give me a solution that works.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a solution?Kmonk9000 if you are facing so many issues under your original user account I would recommend migrating your documents and settings to a new user account.
You are welcome to attempt to track down the numerous locations your file permissions for your current user account have become compromised however. I would recommend you begin by looking at your installation logs to determine where you faced file permission failures. Please see Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html for information on how to review the logs. -

Juniper Secure App Manager doesn't launch
Does anyone know if JSAM still requires Java 5.0 and Safari 4.0.3?
I had been looking at the below thread, as Juniper's plugin won't load for me (running Java 6 and 4.0.4, tried running in 32-bit), still saying "secure app manager could not launch"
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2155339&tstart=117The Juniper SAM still requires Java 5.0 for me. I upgraded Java last week, and JSAM failed, so I went back to using the old version of Java and it works fine again.

How to fix Adobe App Manager error code -60 Download appears corrupt but only for Photoshop CS6 app
How to fix Adobe App Manager error code -60 Download appears corrupt but only for Photoshop CS6 Creative Suite Cloud App. Many attempts were made to install Photoshop CS6 with Adobe Application Manager without success. Every other Creative Suite Application was successfully downloaded. I keep getting Installation Failed when attempting the Photoshop install. How does one correct this?
Thanks Jeff! So, it totally appears as if it was a network issue. The corporate network where I work is quite likely the culprit. Where I was thrown off is that since I have admin rights on my computer, I can install software. But using Adobe Application Manager to install Adobe software wasn't working. And to make matters worse, there didn't appear to be any way to install Acrobat Pro for Mac without using AAM. The workaround that I used previously was to install the trial versions of Adobe software, and then just register them using my username and password. But the workaround for being able to install everything using AAM was to bring my computer home and download from my home network.

Adobe Photoshop CS5 won't launch after Mac update
I updated my mac yesterday to Maverick and now Adobe Photoshop CS5 won't launch. Can you tell me what files I need to delete to get it to launch. I tried reinstalling it, and that didn't help.
thanksIt's very strange. When I try to double click on the program to open it,
it's like I'm doing nothing. it sort of blinks like it's going to open but
does nothing. That's the way it is if I control click and try to open too.
I did try to reboot. Is there something I could delete in the Library
file or something?

Adobe Application Manager Won't Connect!
When I attempt to check for updates in either PS CS6 or Lr4, I get the error that Adobe Application Manager is unable to connect to the update server. I've added the exception for Adobe to my firewall and also added Adobe to my trusted sites! Any thoughts?
I have been trying to stop the feeds from coming through but it is not working with the link you listed below....My problem has been solved and would like to stop the feeds...ASAP!!!
Thank you

10.4.7 Intel- apps now won't launch
I applied the Intel 10.4.7 Combo updater to my 1 month old Macbook and now most applications will not launch. Safari and Camino both will not launch. Luckily I also have Opera which works.
I click on an app; it bounces once and then nothing as if I never clicked it. Other apps that won't launch: Adium, mail, ichat, address book, itunes, iphoto and others
Apps that do work: Quicken, Imovie, prefs, dashboard, terminal, quicken, and others
Ok after writing all of that, I checked console and saw that every one of those applications actually crashes and leaves a crash log. Each crash log has the same error about the address book as shown below.
Here is the log for Safari:
Host Name: mb
Date/Time: 2006-06-27 23:15:07.466 -0400
OS Version: 10.4.7 (Build 8J2135)

Command: Safari
Path: /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari
Parent: WindowServer [94]
Version: 2.0.4 (419.3)
PID: 345
Thread: Unknown
Link (dyld) error:
Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/AddressBook.framework/Versions/A/AddressBook
Referenced from: /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/MacOS/Safari
Reason: image not foundOk I fixed it myself. Somehow there was some filesystem corruption which caused some important files to disappear. (Disk first aid told me this.) I restarted in single user mode and ran fsck -yf. It gave me all these horrible file system errors but was able to repair the disk! Things are working fine again- for now.
Now I'll really be happy if this update cures the Moo. -
How to custom install Acrobat XI via Adobe App Manager (I don't want Office integration)
Hi
I am a Creative Cloud paid member with access to the Adobe App Manger. When I download and install Acrobat XI (also happened with older versions) it just installs the full version of the software, so it messes with my Microsoft Office program sepcifically with Word, installing macros or whatever. So every time I run Word, I get errors.
I need to install Acrobat XI as a stand alone program, so I can choose CUSTOM installation. But, since I am doing it via the Adobe App Manager, I have no control over this.
Please help, thanksHi alexanderschek,
After installing Acrobat via Adobe App Manager, you can go to Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features(windows 7, something similar should exist for other OSes too). You will see a list of all the applications installed on your computer. There you can select Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and click on the change button above. A windows Installer dialog for Adobe Acrobat will be shown. Select modify and click next. Now you will get a dialog similar to the CUSTOM installation dialog. You can select/deselect features as per your requirement and that should solve your problem. As per your requirement you might want to deselect the feature: "Create Adobe PDF-> Acrobat PDFMakers->Microsoft Office". Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Sanmukh
