Adobe application manager is giving me a download error

Whenever I try to download a free trial, I get this error for no apparent reason. I've tried downloading AfterEffects, then Lightroom to see if it was only AfterEffects that had the issue, and that didn't work either.

The same happens with me, using a x64 Win7 Pro.
I think there might be a problem with Adobe application, cause you're using a Mac plataform and I'm using a Microsoft and both has the same problem.

  • Adobe Application Manager crashes giving me this error code: A12E5

I just installed the CS6 Design Standard for Windows 7 on a new Dell. I am using the software and InDesign is not working properly. The windows for options are un-clickable. I have tried reinstalling the entire CD and updating. The Application Manager that I downloaded from Adobe.com continually crashes during startup reading error code: A12E5. I have search the Adobe database for answers with no resolve. I do NOT have a creative Cloud account because I have a CD. PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!

Without more precise system info and crash logs nobody can say anything. "a new Dell" is pretty generic and mostly meaningless. Presumably you have an issue with rendering the UI on an high-DPI screen to which in Pparticular ID is quite sensitive, but we really can't know...

  • My updates are failing.  Adobe application manager may be damaged.  I have downloaded and installed a new copy and the problem persists.   Please help.

I am trying to update Photoshop CS6 in order to read my camera's RAW files.  It is a camera that is supported by Adobe Photoshop CS6.  However, when I try to get the Adobe Application Manager to update the software, it fails to do so.  (The spinning wheel tells me it is checking for updates and then quits, saying that "Update Failed - Updates could not be applied.  Adobe Application Manager may be damaged.  Download and install a new copy of Adobe Application Manager.")
I have tried to reinstall the Adobe Application Manager 8.0, which gives me the following error message "We've encountered the following issues.  Installer failed to initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem."  However, when I go to the link provided to download the Adobe Support Advisor, this piece of software NO LONGER EXISTS. "
The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued
The Adobe Support Advisor tool was used to analyze installer log and system information associated with installation errors. The tool has been replaced with improved installation support mechanisms. Please visit Adobe Support section for Knowledge base articles around Installation."
So, I have gone to the forums and took the recommended step to update my software manually - getting the update Photoshop_CS6_13_0_6upd-2.dmg.  However, this update also fails stating that my Adobe Application Manager may be damages.  Download and install a new copy of Adobe Application Manager.  Which puts me right back where I started.
I have also taken the step of completely reinstalling Photoshop CS6.  This did not solve the problems outlined above.
    Please help!

  • Adobe Application Manager crashes everytime I try to download Lightroom trial

    Hey,
I am using a Macbook air and I am trying to download the free trial of lightroom on this mac but everytime the download loads the adobe application manager crashes and ends the download. Any ideas on how I can fix this?
    Thanks,

Application Manager or the CC desktop app? Sign out of the Creative Cloud desktop app, restart your computer and sign in again. Don't start any other programs. If that fails, sign out and uninstall the Creative Cloud app. Run the CC Cleaner tool. Re-install CC app and sign in.

  • Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.

One day it was fine, the next it's not. My Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.
No error messages, it just doesn't open. I can't get through to talk to staff (because why should you be able to right? You only pay for the service..)
Could someone please shed some light on my situation?
My Lightroom and Photoshop are running fine as normal. I wish I could provide more information but it's really that simple - none of it will open.
    Thank you!

At this point, I think I'd just download & run the Adobe CC Cleaner app, and use it to uninstall & clean up your PrPro & the Creative Cloud desktop app itself ... then download a fresh copy of the CC desktop app, install & sign into your account, then download & reinstall PrPro ...

  • Adobe CS 5.5 Standard setup - Adobe Application Manager has stopped working

    Hello,
I was wondering if someone could help me with this situation.
    I successfully installed CS 2 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Terminal Server.
Now, I am trying to install the CS 5.5 upgrade but the Adobe Application Manager keeps crashing.
I downloaded the latest package from the Adobe website (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-5-product-downloads.html)
Is there any other way to install this upgrade?
    Thank you for your help.
    Sincerely,
    Sri

  • Adobe Premiere does not appear as an available app in Adobe Application Manager. Why?

When I signed up for Creative Cloud there are a number of products that appear in the Apps portion of the Creative Cloud site, but when I try to download Premiere Pro it doesn't appear as one of the applications I have in the Adobe Application Manager. How can I download Premiere Pro?

    Hi Sir,
We apologize for all the inconvinence you had.
Just wanted to check are you using an OS which is 64-bit.
The Premiere Pro is a 64 bit application & would only be shown in Application Manager if your system in 64-bit.
    1. You can go to Start>Run.
    2. Type MSINFO32 & click ok
    3. In System Type if it shows x64-based PC it is 64bit else it x86 would suggest to 32-bit
    Thanks

  • CS6 Adobe Application Manager Conflict

I tried to update Photoshop CS6, but it says I am running Adobe Application Manager and have to close it before I can get the updates. I don't see the application manager running anywhere. Where do I find it so I can shut it down?

I'm using Win 7, 64 bit. I finally just went to the task bar at the bottom and "Quit" the Adobe Application Manager". I could then download the update and install it. But this is ridiculous. It sounds counter-intuitive. The application manager would seem to have to be running in order to "manage" updates and downloads.

  • Adobe Application Manager Hangs and Won't Load

I am a Creative Cloud subscriber
I manually uninstalled Acrobat XI -- I know, bad idea, I shouldn't have done that, but now it is what it is ...
So now I cannot run Adobe Application Manager without it hanging
I downloaded and installed the AAM patch from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4774
That did not solve the problem
I used the uninstallers to remove all my Creative Cloud apps as suggested here: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-creative-cloud-installation-download .html#download_freeze
That did not solve the problem
I'm stuck.  Now I have no Creative Cloud apps and I cannot get the AAM running so that I can get the apps installed.

Delete the opm.db. Should be somewhere in Library:Application Support:Adobe

  • "Adobe Application Manager unexpectedly quit.

I  paid my $9.99. Every  time I try and download Photoshop CC or Lightroom. I get this message "Adobe Application Manager unexpectedly quit." What am I doing wrong?

    Hi barbarakaye1,
    Welcome to the Community!
Looks like it is corrupted. We might need to install Adobe Creative cloud, lets try the below steps:
Download and install the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
    Extract and run it.
    Select "e" for English.
Hit "Y" for Yes if asked.
Select Option 3 for Creative Cloud.
Then select Option 1 for Creative Cloud Installer.
Rename the OOBE folder to OOBE OLD from :
                   Mac: MAC HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe               Win: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\
Also, If there is a process running named 'AAM Update Notifier' or 'AAM Registration Notifier' . Kill those processes and try to install Adobe Application Manager again and check.
Download and Install the latest version here: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

  • Trouble Combining PDF's, launching Acrobat and Adobe Application Manager 10x Pro

    - cannot open Acrobat 10 x pro, it does not launch
    - cannot open Adobe Application Manager it comes up with an error message "we have encountered some problems..." it then tries to update but fails.
    thanks

    finaly figured out how
I went into google to find a link to the application update manager which sent me back to the adobe website after downloading a fresh version
I discovered in my downloads I still had a setup file for creative suite
    - set up click adobe acrobat and it should add the missing files and works like a gem now

  • Adobe Presenter, Adobe Application Manager

    1. Adobe Presenter tab is not showing in PowerPoint; Presenter add-in not found in Options/Add-ins.
    2. Possibly related:  Adobe Application Manager tries to update and reports error code A12E5.
How do I activate Presenter in PowerPoint?

    Hi,
Hope you have installed the right presenter version with the powerpoint.
You need to install 32 bit presenter with 32 bit powerpoint.
If the powerpoint is 64 bit, you need to install 64 bit presenter.
If you have installed it correctly, then
    1. goto File->options->addins
    2. Under manage select disabled items. Enable the powerpoint addin if found there.
Let us know if this solves your problem.
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Application Manager indicates updates avail. -- attempts to download result in 'There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.' - pls advise!

    I have a Windows PC - OS: Win 7 Home Premium, SP1
I recently had to have my hard drive replaced and, as result, had to reinstall the Adobe products I own: Acrobat 10, Premiere Elements & Photoshop 9
I assume as part of reinstalling the software the Adobe Application Manager was installed as well - regardless, it indicates 'updates are available' -- however when I open the updater I am receiving the error message:
'There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later'
The full message is as follows:
    'Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
    Photoshop Camera Raw 6.5 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
    Premiere Elements 9.0.1 Updater
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.'
    Please advise!! thank you kindly
(secondary problem: whenever I open Elements or Photoshop and I am asked to log in with my Adobe ID, I get the error message 'Error. Photoshop.com services are currently unavailable. Please try again later or check your network connections. Error 400'. Now I know photoshop.com was replaced with Revel - but why is it consistently giving me the same error message? shouldn't it be updated by now or, specifically, is this indicative of a different problem when I attempt to login with my Adobe ID??)
thank you so much for any help provided!!

I don't know why you are getting these errors.  Try downloading & installing the updates manually from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates.html
