Adobe application manager not working properly

First, If I'm in the wrong forum, please let me know and I'll re-create this entry in a better location. 
I've been a user of Elements 10 since it came out but now with my new camera I would like to try Elements 13.  It was a struggle, but I finally was able to install the trial package but I can not launch elements 13 because the Adobe Application Manager refuses to connect and authenticate. 
I went through this thread for help:  https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1098435
and it lead me to some additional information below.
And followed these steps under troubleshooting connection issues found here:  http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html
All of them worked just fine indicating that in theory, I should have NO problems connecting to Adobe.  However, that is not the case and I can not access the site that allows me to try or use the software....  The software manager just sits and spins its wheels so to speak.
Now, the funny thing, if I type in the WRONG password for my adobe ID, the application manager software immediately comes back and says that I've entered the wrong information.  That tells me the application manager is connecting to where it should.  As a last resort, I have even tried turning off my firewall and still no luck.  Is there anything else I can try?  There would be NO point in buying the software since I would still be stuck not being able to use it. Or anyother Adobe software for that fact.

First of all, Merry Christmas.
Now, an update.  Elements / Photoshop 13 installed just fine on the my Mini Mac.    My PC has been running since day one (four or fives years now without a complete re-do.) and this seemed as good as time as any to install a factory fresh copy of Windows 7. Who knows how many programs etc.. have been installed / uninstalled etc.. over the past several years and now its complete. Mostly...   Fresh Windows install, All updates installed, latest video drivers drivers and anti-virus installed, google Chrome installed.  I had no issues installing Adobe Photoshop Elements after that.  Again, I have to say its very sad it comes to this extreme measure, but I really and truly do appreciate you taking the time to help me with this issue.

  • Application does not work properly when I press a CommanButton

    Hi all, I am having a problem with weblogic 10.3.5.
    It turns out that an application built with JDeveloper 11.1.5, I test it, and everything goes well in the JDeveloper integrated Weblogic.
    But when deploy in a standalone weblogic 10.3.5 server, the application does not work properly when I press a CommanButton to go to another page search (the property "action" is set correctly) , but nothing happens, stays in the same home page. Similarly when a commanButton link to run a task-flow, It do not work , however in the JDeveloper integrated Weblogic it runs correctly.
    How I can solve these problems?

    Thanks Frank for help us, but when I writing this comment we are doing at home. So, we going to test the page in a stand alone weblogic server 10.3.5. We wrote the URL as :
    " http://<our ip>:7001/myApp/faces/index.jspx "
    this application contains a report desing and compiled with iReport 4.5.1 ( last version in the moment ), we can see the report when I press a commanButton without any problem.
    But now, we need try your suggestions in the office, and give you more information about it . Thanks for the moment.

  • Adobe application manager not finding updates on PSE11

    There should be a camera raw 7.4 update available, but it is not being found and I am not sure what other updates are not being found.
    In addition I did a manual download of Adobe Patch Installer and when it was launched got the following message in the UPDATES pop up:
         > Error loading Updater workflow
    I suspect this may be the root cause of the application manager not finding updates.
    Any suggestions on how to get this Updater workflow to load?

    FYI - I did an un-install and re-install of PSE11 and it looks like that has worked as the system is now recognizing available updates :-)

    I am using Oracle 10g R2 on fedora machine my first database name is orcl then i created second database by dbca by the name orcl2 after that my Enterprise manager is not working properly that is i am not able to login to my database through EM.
    Then i deleted my listener LISTENER and created two new listeners by name LISTENER and LISTENER on port no 1521,1522 respectively .
    when i issue command lsnrctl start listener
    and
    lsnrctl start listener1
    both of my listeners gets started sucessfully.
    but when i start EM i get the same problem.

  • Adobe Application Manager Not Recognising Installed Applications

    I've just launched adobe application manager for the first time on a month or 2 and it no longer knows that I already have photoshop, illustrator and fireworks installed, and therefore I cannot update them!

    I've seen cases in which installing the products with a different Adobe ID than the one associated with your Creative Cloud membership can cause this, but haven't heard of instances where just installing updates to AAM caused it.
    Another solution to try would be uninstalling the product not listed in AAM through the OS/with the uninstall and then just reinstalling it through AAM
    Control Panel > Programs & Features (Windows 7/8)
    Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers (Mac OS X)

  • Application Manager not working on Retina Display Macbook Pro

    At work, I am using a Retina Display Macbook Pro running Lion and cannot get my application manager to work. I have checked the activity monitor to make sure only one version is running.  I am currently an admin with managed permissions so I am at a loss as to why I cannot update photoshop and illustrator to the latest versions.  I really need help getting this issue taken care of so I can maximize the tools at my disposal.

  • Application Toolbar Not Working Properly. Help!

    I'm having an issue with my Mac. The toolbars and other areas of each window in each program are not working properly. There is a bunch of random apples in place of certain buttons. Its hard to explain exactly what is going on so I've attached a couple screen shots of what I'm talking about. Does anyone know whats going on or how to go back to the default settings? I'm using Mac OS X 10.7.2 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    For some reason my Application Manager and my Adobe Premiere CC 2014 are not working at all.
    I hava an iMac 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 with 24 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 ram and running OSX 10.9.5.
    No matter how many times I try to load my new apps in Application Manager it will not reload (internet is fine).
    Adobe Premiere CC 2014 will not play clips or audio (at all).

  • Adobe Application Manager Stopped working

    I have had the same problem as in many discussions, in which there seems to be few solutions. My AAM stopped working no specific error, I followed the idea of uninstalling all my creative cloud apps and started again only to have the AAM do exactly the same thing once downloaded and installed , now I have a paid subscription and no apps. Now when i click on AAM exe download file I get , "we've encountered the following issues: Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect problem." I have found this and will try to see if int gives any further information. It seems I have the AAM exe file somewhere but now cant find it.
    My system is Windows XP SP3.I have used the Adobe cleaner.

  • My Adobe Flashplayer is not working properly when I run videos

    To whom it may concern:
         My operating system is Windows 7, my bowser is Internet Explorer 10, and I have the Adobe Flash Player 11.7.700.224 installed. Any video I play freezes up for a few seconds, then plays for a few seconds, then freezes again, and this cycle continues during play mode. Can you please help me?

    What do you mean "Home" button working properly? I know your iPhone 4 is a newer design then my 3GS, but the home button is used to exit an application, etc.

  • CS4 Adobe Extension Manager not working after Mavericks

    Hello,
    I upgraded to Mavericks and now my watermark is no longer appearing in the Extension drop down menu.  I tried to reload it but when I open Adobe Extension Manager in CS4 and try to upload it I get the following message "You do not have the appropriate permissions required to perform this operation. Contact you system administrator to obtain permission.".  I have checked my settings and I am logged in as an adminstrator. 
    Can anyone please suggest how I fix this.

    I did find this link, but it is for CS5. I tried it replacing the CS5 with CS4 and it did not seem to work.

  • Several applications suddenly not working properly at once

    Hi,
    I've run into some quite big problems with my 2009 13" MBP (8gb ram, 2.26 GHz).
    Today I noticed Safari wouldn't connect to websites that used the HTTPS protocol; I would just get a screen saying "Safari can't create a secure connection...." or something like that. Normal websites work fine. Then I noticed the iTunes store didn't work (probably because of the same problem that's causing secure websites not to work)
    But then it gets weird: iTunes also gives me several error messages about it not being able to save the library file (error code -50 if I remember correctly). And while this is all happening Disk Utility won't open either, it just bounces on the dock.
    These are the problems I've run into at the moment, but I have a feeling more applications won't work either.
    The weird thing is all of the problems start acting up at the exact same time, without any particular trigger that I've noticed.
    When I restart my Mac everything goes back to normal: I can visit secure websites, I can open Disk Utility and fix permissions etc etc. But after half an hour or so the same problems come back.
    I've tried to repair Disk Permissions, reset Safari and restarted the MBP several times, but nothing works. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary with the MBP except for installing a Java update a few days ago. I thought that might be the cause and deleted Java completely, but still no luck; the same problems still persist.
    I couldn't find any similar problems on Google, and I really need help. Safari not visiting secure websites is a real pain, since Facebook, Google etc etc all use https.

    Step 1.  go to Settings -> general -> siri -> disable Siri.  Then shut phone down and after restart re enable Siri.
    Step 2.  go to Settings  general -> reset -> reset network settings.
    Step 1 didn't work for me but it still a good troubleshooting activity and may solve other Siri related problems.
    as far as step 2 goes,  as soon as i reset the network settings on my phone, SIRI started working properly again. I am glad it worked and didn't have to restore my phone or do some more complex tasks.

  • Application URL not working properly

    We have a custom application hosted on weblogic8.1 cluster. And this is in production environment.
    What we observed was, I am using FireFox browser and works fine for me. And I noticed it did not work a few days ago only once. However, most of the other users use IE6.0 and seems not able to access this URL. So some tried using IE 7.0 and worked fine for some time. But, the problem persisted very often as few can and others cannot.
    Can anybody tell me what could be the problem or should I be modifying any files in weblogic server.
    This is working pretty fine in testing environement.
