Adobe Application Manager Won't Open and CC Desktop failed to install
I am running Win 7 Ultimate. Adobe Application Manager Won't Open and CC Desktop failed to install on my computer after I signed up for Adobe CC tonight. I am currently using the CS5 suite (perpetual license) and do not want to uninstall any of the programs until I am successfully running the Adobe CC versions. The AAM gives me an error message saying that it failed to open when I select it, and the creative cloud installer fails to install. I have tried restarting my computer. Help? This is very frustrating. I am a student and use this software on a daily basis, and can't afford to not have these programs available when I need them.

Adobe application manager won't open
I just subscribed to Adobe Cloud CC , but my download won't work because Adobe application Manager won't launch.
Any suggestions ?
VicThe Adobe Application Manager is normally started from Photoshop menu Help>Updates. Is this what you referring to or are you referring to the Creative Cloud desktop application?

Adobe Application Manager won't update on Win 8.1 - cannot install apps
Since updating this PC to Windows 8.1, the Adobe Application Manager which manages the Creative Cloud apps will not update itself, hence we cannot install or update CC apps (specifically, Acrobat).
On clicking the download button on the Acrobat page of CC, the Adobe Application Manager starts to update itself, then quits with the error:
We've encountered the following issues:
Adobe Application Manager failed to install.
[Quit]
Repeated attempts fail. We urgently need to admin several CC apps so to be forced to use the App Manager causes us substantial business interruption.

Please close all the Adobe application, browsers running at the back and try to install again. If still the same error please follow the mentioned steps:
1. Please navigate to C/Program Files(X86)/Common Files/Adobe/OOBE and rename to OOBE.old
Please go to C/User/User Name/App date/Local/Adobe/OOBE and rename it to OOBE.old
Log to to CC desktop: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and run as admin to install it.
If still the same error then please enable hidden admin: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/9650-built-administrator-account-enable-disable-windo ws-8-a.html and try to install again from hidden admin account.
Please review the log : http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html if still the error persists.

Adobe application manager no longer opens.
I've seen lots of posts about how peoples manager stopped working but when I read the post its about how it wont download. My is down loaded and has worked fine up till a month ago. Now I get icons on my PC that says I have updates and to launch my application manger but it wont open. I tried to uninstall and download again but my PC says I first have to close my desktop application manger. If I could open it I wouldn't need to remove it and try again.
Please refer to the following links:
Adobe Application Manager won't start
Completely uninstall Adobe Application Manager
Can't open Adobe Application Manager to update to CC
Please let us know if it worked.

Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.
One day it was fine, the next it's not. My Premiere Pro, Creative Cloud & Adobe Application Manager all wont open.
No error messages, it just doesn't open. I can't get through to talk to staff (because why should you be able to right? You only pay for the service..)
Could someone please shed some light on my situation?
My Lightroom and Photoshop are running fine as normal. I wish I could provide more information but it's really that simple - none of it will open.
Thank you!At this point, I think I'd just download & run the Adobe CC Cleaner app, and use it to uninstall & clean up your PrPro & the Creative Cloud desktop app itself ... then download a fresh copy of the CC desktop app, install & sign into your account, then download & reinstall PrPro ...

Just re-installed a fresh copy of CS6 Photoshop on my Yosemite Mac Book Pro and somehow the Adobe Application Manager does not work and therefore cannot verify my copy. What should I do?
I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager may be damaged and that I should install a new version of AAM. But after downloading a fresh copy of AAM and doing the install, the program (AAM) still will not install. It is like an infinite loop!
Please, someone help!
Thanks!HI gener7!
I'm sorry but I am not on Creative Cloud. I'm still on CS6 and it was the Adobe Application Manager that wasn't working and I could not install the update to this application. My AAM version is: 8.0.0160
The link you provided was the update that I wanted to install but it does not work. A window shows up during that install that says:
We've encountered the following issues.
Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
and then the link to the Adobe Support Advisor which leads to a "Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" page.
Thanks! -

Dreamweaver CS6 cloud - I can no longer use "Save As' and the Application manager won't open.
I always open an old page and use "save all" to save it, then "save as" and change the name of the page to what I want the new page to be the rewrite the new content. It doesn't open a box for name change any longer. Also The application manager does not open at all.
What to do to fix this?
RogerHi Roger,
Can you close other applications open on your computer, and retry before the experts here suggest other solutions?
Thanks,

I cannot update any apps via Creative Cloud Desktop Application just prior to nor after the April 2015 updated.
I've tried everything listed in support forums, including:
uninstallation
removal of the AAMUpdater and OOBE folders in both the user and system libraries
use of the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool
enabling the root user and cleaning everything out there and reinstallation from the root account
and reinstallation of both the Application Manager as well as Creative Cloud Desktop...multiple times.
I've also tried out the instructions to uninstall Java and reinstall the latest version of Java. I have looked through every iteration of these issues on several support forums, and tried everything that has supposedly "worked" to get Creative Cloud Desktop back up and running.
I am on Mac OSX Yosemite 10.10.3.
I also can't sign in via the Application Manager, with message that I am not connected to the internet. I can launch the versions of Photoshop CC 2014, Illustrator CC 2014, Lightroom 5, etc., but when I try to sign in to any of those applications, the Adobe Application Manager launches, asking for a sign in, and then won't connect...no matter what. I have tried doing this from the root account with the firewall temporarily disabled as well. I do not have internet connection problems whatsoever, and all other applications, browsers, etc., can reach all aspects of the internet just fine.
The most peculiar thing: I have another Creative Cloud installation on my MacBook Pro with the same version of Yosemite, and everything is loading and working just fine, with all the latest updates. Duplicate installation for my laptop, and yet my iMac with the same installation won't work at all. Thanks for the suggestion.
I've attempted to repair permissions the usual way, as well as through a complete cleanup via Onyx. Still no dice.
Creative Cloud Desktop was working previously, for quite a few months (with the occasional "can't connect" and inability to load the App Update panel, which seems to plague the software constantly anyway...but at least it worked intermittently) well after I installed Yosemite.
This is a more recent issue...just a few days ago...before installing the update, as well as after. -
Adobe application manager won't recognize Acrobat Pro XI for Mac
I purchased and downloaded Acrobat Pro XI for Mac. The installation is successful, but when I attempt to open it the Adobe Application Manager interrupts and says "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer." It then says to "To use this serial number, you must own one of these qualifying products. Please choose the one you own an interest serial number." Except Adobe Acrobat Pro XI is not listed. I confirmed I purchased Adobe Acrobat XI Pro (Mac,English) and the serial number I have is correct. Please advise.
This error message comes when you try to activate the upgrade version which requires the previous version to activate.
Please follow the steps to activate the upgrade version product.
1. Install the porduct and enter the upgrade version serial number
2. When it asks for the previous version serial number, enter the older version serial number
3. You would be able to activate
In order to locat the serial numbers please follow the below link:

Adobe Application Manager won't install anything!
I've been trying to update Photoshop CS5 to 12.0.4, and the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) keeps asking me for my system admin password. Everytime I enter it, the window pops up again. I could enter my password a dozen times, it won't begin any updates or installations.
I have tried:
shutdown and restart
changing my admin password
installing non-Adobe software (to see if it was an OS X problem)
uninstalling all my Adobe software (same problem as trying to install)
I'd really like to be able to update my software. Anybody know what to do?

iMac 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
OS X 10.7.3Thanks Jeff! That worked like a charm. I've never enabled a root user, but now that I know that exists, I'll keep that in mind if I have any other installation issues (Adobe or otherwise).
A question remains - why is AAM being stubborn with my admin password? If anyone knows, that'd be great, otherwise, I consider this answered. -

Adobe Application Manager won't launch
Running Mac OSX Lion on Macbook Pro with Adobe Creative Cloud. When I try to launch Acrobat Pro, Application Manager tries to launch, but no options come up. Happens every time I try to launch Acrobat, so Acrobat won't work. Suggestions? I noticed there is no uninstall for Application Manager. Can I just trash it and try to reinstall?
Hi Dave,
Has Acrobat X ever worked? I wouid try running the uninstaller for Acrobat from Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers if avaiable, rebooting, and then launching the Adobe Application Manager first from within Applications and then reinstalling Acrobat.
