Adobe Audition C++ Runtime error

I am checking out the trial version of this awesome program. When I tried to record, everything went fine until I tried to record through Asio. I armed the track and as soon as I pressed record I got a runtime error.. I'm using a usb mic and it was working fine until i tried to use Asio and record in stereo sound. The error message says abnormal program termination. Why is this occuring and how can i fix it?

It's difficult to be really specific even after listening to your track. You haven't talked about a budget, and microphones can cost anything from around $40 to several thousand!
If you want to use the same mic in the studio and for live, that cuts the short list quite a bit but there's still a huge choice for you. A few you could ask a good dealer to let you listen to would be:
Shure SM58. This isn't a favourite mic of mine but it's one used by a lot of rappers (and vocalists of all types). They're built like the proverbial brick-you-know-what and any sound guy you work with will instantly know it and should be able to EQ it for you. On the down side, it's a 30+ year old design, a bit harsh in the upper mid reaches and not as natural sounding as some.
Audix OM5. A favourite vocal mic in my kit--I often give them to people used to using the SM58 and most are pleasantly surprised at how much better it sounds. A nice natural, open sound that suits a good many voices.
Sennheiser e845: (or 835 or 865 depending on your budget). Another range of popular vocal mics, all with a natural, fairly detailed sound.
Neumann KMS104: On many voices, probably the nicest sounding vocal mic out there. Warm, detailed and neutral. But be sure you're sitting down when you check the price. This one is a condenser mic so you'll need a sound card that provides phantom power.
As for USB sound interfaces, three I'd look at if I were you would be the EMU 0202USB, the M-Audio Fastrack and M-Audio mobile pre. All have slightly different features (and prices) but I know they all work well and sound good. This is not to say there aren't other good units out there--these just happen to be ones I have personal experience of.

I have Adobe Creative Suite 2.0 and am running Windows 7 on my PC. Although all the other applications in the CS2 suite launch successfully, I receive a Runtime Error with each attempt to open Adobe Illustrator that reads:

Adobe Reader X - Runtime error - Windows 7

What am I doing wrong? Any ideas?
Installed Reader X 3 times since yesterday onto differnt Windows 7 machines - including once onto a clean Windows 7 Enterprise 32bit install (i.e. no old versions of anything to remove) - and on all atempts once the software is installed and run, i just get a runtime error and it won't open up. This was exactly what I expected after I read that Adobe announced Reader X (X fits really because it is the best to terminate this software).
It is always the same - the quality of Adobe software is below each expectation. Now we have the already version 10 and Adobe has still not understood the difference of Windows XP and and Windows 7 regarding user profiles - I doubt that they ever heard the term "roaming profile" or "junction/symbolic link/hard link". Some people should be forbidden to program - if I would have the choice I would select another pdf viewer. And if you try to address these kind of issues Adobe acts deaf and simply says this not supported instead of fixing their stupid mistakes in their poor products - this approach is so easy - if they continue to behave in this way and exploit their current monopole they will not survive, because all disappointed customers will switch to the next best alternative as soon as they offers a less painful product or at least better support. I start to love Steve Jobs and Apple.
The question stays: Why Adobe reinvented a bug, which was already fixed in Adobe Reader 9 - what the hell are they doing in their programming caves in India - it looks like one programmer does not speak to the other or took a very old outdated code stream - very poor versioning and quality managment.
I have to deal all the time in my Company with these Adobe Pre-Alpha products full of bugs and I'm fed up to always run into major unsolved issues - Adobe test your products before you do a final release!!!! You ever heard about a public beta phase??????

"This error occurs when the application checks for read permissions for each directory in the path to Application Data. The application is supposed to instead only inspect for permission in the Application Data directory and below. If the requisite permissions are not found, a runtime error occurs.
The 9.4 cumulative update changes this behavior so that the application does not check for permissions on parent folders."
So read your own fu..... KB before you release anything and make such a spectacle about a <sarcasm on> "complete new version, which is the most safe, reliable and convenient reader version ever <sarcasm off> (lol)

Adobe Elements 10 Runtime error message, help!

My Adobe Elements 10 was JUST working 15 min ago, and now when I try to launch it I get this error message: "Runtime Error!" "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information." I have re-started my computer, and have checked for updates but don't see any recent ones. What do I need to do here? I need Elements to do my work, right now.

The first thing to do when behavior suddenly changes like this is to reset the application preferences. Simply rename the preference file listed here and then retry: Preference file locations | Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements

i got exactly the same error after installing nw2004s SP07 sneak preview.
I checked oss note for changing the hostname - without success.
But now i found the reason. I missed to configure the : "Destination URL for the Adobe Document Services" as described here:

Adobe Pro 8 Runtime Error

This has been hit on in other threads, but I still have not found an answer to my issue. Whenever I run Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro from the Start menu, or double click on a .pdf file I get the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error, runtime Error. This is on a standalone laptop with the following software loaded: Windows XP SP3, Office 2007, Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server Express 2005, and MySQL. I mention these because I have seen these packages mentioned in other posts. Since it is a standalone laptop, no roaming profiles. The main issue is that Acrobat Pro 8 runs in the administrator account, and other user accounts. It will not run in my account. I have read that creating a new account and trying it shows it to be a user issue and not a system wide issue, but I could not find anything about how to repair a damaged user account. Also, from my account if I use "run as" and any other account on the system, it works. This is OK to run the program, but this is not available to double click on a .pdf file. Any help on what to delete, move, rename, etc in the damaged account would be greatly appreciated.

OK, I did some more reading, and after systematically renaming the plugins, I
found that the file ADTACROBAT.api was my problem. I added a .old to the file and now Acrobat works!
Not sure what it is, but I really hope it's not important.

ADOBE READER 10 RUNTIME ERROR

I keep receiving a Runtime Error C:\Program Files\ Adobe\Reader 10.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe
I tried to upgrade to 11 and could not see or hear video.. and when I went back to 10 it dumped some Adobe files off of my desktop and now I am receiving this error and cannot open any Adobe docs..
Can anyone out there tell me what is going on???

You can try using this tool to first remove all traces of Reader from your computer:

Then, you can download the full offline Reader installer from
http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
After downloading, restart your computer and run the installer before doing anything else.

ADOBE interactive form runtime error

Hi All,
While deploying ADOBE form, I am getting the following error.
The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:
com.sap.engine.services.webservices.jaxrpc.exceptions.InvalidResponseCodeException: Invalid Response Code: (401) Unauthorized. The requested URL was:"http://ep62:50100/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document"
If anyone get the same error, Please help me.

Hi,
There seems to be an issue with ADS configuration on your server. Please verify the settings and try testing the Adobe Document Services through WS.

For testing the webservice go to the below link:

Invoice Adobe form giving runtime error

Hi All,
I have configured standard adobe form for invoice in nace. Print prog - SD_BIL_PRINT01 and adobe form - SD_INVOICE_FORM01. When i run the billing document, i am getting error message - Type conflict when calling the function module (Call to function module /1BCDWB/SMxxxxxxxxx is incorrect). I am using the standard program n form, then why this error.

In the Print prog - SD_BIL_PRINT01, there is
CALL FUNCTION lv_fm_name
    EXPORTING
      /1bcdwb/docparams = ls_docparams
      bil_prt_com       = gs_bil_print.
GS_BIL_PRINT is of type BIL_S_PRT_INTERFACE.
In the adobe form SD_INVOICE_FORM01, I think the interface used is SLS_INTERFACE. In the interface SLS_INTERFACE, the
import parameter SLS_PRT_COM is of type SLS_S_PRT_INTERFACE.
Since the export parameter of the print program and the import parameter of the form interface are of different data types, the error is coming.
Change the interface of the form to BIL_INTERFACE. In this interface, the inport parameter BIL_PRT_COM is of type BIL_S_PRT_INTERFACE.

Adobe Reader 9 - Runtime Error on Win Server 2003 terminal server

One of my clients has a Citrix farm utilizing 3 Windows 2003 Servers. I have 1 user out of about 20 that receive this error message when opening up PDFs. Last week I had updated the servers from 9.1 to 9.4.5 thinking that it was just a result of an outdate or corrupted install of 9.1. User is still getting the error after update though. No other users have an issue opening PDFs. The error message looks like:
I added the domain users group the the NTFS permissions on the root folder of user redirected folders with the "read/list folder contents", as outlined in similar articles, but this issue seems to be different because it's only 1 user getting the error. I did see something odd in the user's App Data\Adobe\Acrobat\ folder, it was missing a folder named 9.0. Almost like it didn't get installed for his profile. Anyone have any ideas?

Are you saying that you have just this one project that will not open and that it is presenting with a runtime error? But, all your other projects
functional propertly?
What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
What are the properties of the source media used in this project and what are you setting as the project preset to match the properties of the source?
If the project refuses to open and gives off this runtime error message, please first review the Adobe document on damaged projects.

Yes i have the same problem with adobe audition 3.0 windows 7
first i got error visual c++ run time error . ( old windows )
then i install new windows and every time i try to lunch adobe audition . stuck and error message

last step i did i ordered original CD of adobe audition 3.0 and expecting it next week .
but it bother me because i love working in adobe product i don't want to record in any other software .

See my reply in the other thread. Please don't double post as it is confusing to give answers. Unfortunately your picture doesn't show any helpful information to give us a clue as to what the problem is. A more helpful image would be of the same view but with the Input/output selection shown (rather than the fx view) by clicking on the double arrow icon to the left of the fx one which is selected at present.

Adobe Audition won't start C++ runtime error

Hi, I downloaded and used the trial version fine for the full trial time. Decided to purchase this weekend. It's not a cheap piece of software, so I'm hoping for some decent support here.
I managed to run the full unlocked version a few times without problems. I haven't installed anything else since it last ran. I did notice that it seemed slightly sluggish today.... then when I tried starting it later:-

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applicaton's support team for more information"
I tried a complete uninstall, restart, reinstall... same error. I'm not finding anything relevant in this or other support forms. The error message isn't tellin gme too much either.

OK, I worked it out. I just renamed the whole settings directory here:-
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Audition\
and it lets me back in... don't what I've lost but at least I'm in phew.

Alguna vez me aparecio algun error similar pero con Audition CS 6
pero no paso de ahi ,me aparecio el mensaje ,solo le di "Aceptar" cerre la ventana y reinicie mi
maquina y todo regreso a la normalidad
En ocasiones marca este tipo de errores porque estas usando algun otro programa de audio
o que este usando tu tarjeta de sonido y genera error en el programa
( *lo que nunca ocurrio con COOL EDIT PRO 2 )
Si en tu caso aun continua el problema ,mi consejo seria reinstalar el programa
y veas como reacciona de nuevo

I have Adobe Video Collection V2.6. (Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5).
All of the collection will load on my system except Adobe Premier Pro.
My system is:

When I try to load Adobe Premiere Pro I am presented with the follow statement:

I spent 16 hours yesterday blending everything from Microsoft and Dell that
I could find relating to my problem. During all of this I lost all sound,
including playback and record on Adobe Audition 3 on another partition. I
worked until midnight last night and came back to my computer this morning
at 2:00 AM to continue. When I turned on the computer and checked, all of
the icons for the CD & DVD units, internet phone were in place and
everything worked. Adobe Audition now records and plays back...just like old
times. I have no idea which of the changes I made corrected my problem but
the problem is solved. Just wanted you gentlemen to know. It is reassuring
to know that there are folks “out there” a novice can count on. I will now
add the 8 GB of RAM but will not move to Windows 7 as yet. Thanks again for
your help.
