Adobe Audition, new computer?

I just purchased a new computer, and IT keeps giving me an error every time I try to start it up. Problem with licensing, Im assuming to prevent people who havent purchased it from using it. How do I go about registering it for this computer? Step by step instructions would be amazing.

  • Transferring adobe to new computer

I recently received a laptop at work & have Adobe 8 installed on my workstation that I no longer use.  Can I move my license from that computer to my and install it on my laptop?
    Thanks,

You reinstall from the original CD
If you have activation problems, you must call Adobe

Once everything is working, buy and USE software to make a complete backup of your hard drive

  • I have Audition 3, but my computer has crashed, and I need to install adobe 3 on a new computer.  The adobe 3 that I have is an upgrade, I am needing to install it in windows 8, what do I need to do?

My new computer is windows 8, adobe audition is an upgrade edition, what do I need to do?

While it is iffy as to whether or not it will work with Windows 8, even if you had a full version you would not be able to install it.  You need to acquire a special version of it along with the serial number for it.  See the following:

I am trying to activate my program into my new computer (the old one was run over by a car) and it says I have exceeded my installations.  It's Adobe Audition 3 (you can see I've been using it a long time) and I rely on it for work everyday.  Please advise.

The activation server for Audition 3 was shut down by Adobe several years ago.
You now need to download the non-activation version provided by Adobe here
Error: Activation Server Unavailable | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3
Install then enter the new serial number provided by Adobe at that link. Your existing serial number will no longer work.

  • Adobe Audition 2.0, trying to install onto my new computer, and can not activate...

I copied the SETUP from my old computer onto my new computer and cannot activate the software, Adobe does not support the 2.0 version...@

Registered owners of Audition 2.0 and 3.0 can download a new installer and serial number by following the instructions available at http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life.htm l
The activation servers for applications of this era were retired approximately 18 months ago, so new installers that do not require online activation have been made available.

  • Transferring Adobe Audition 3.0 to new computer

Hi I am still using the old Adobe Audition 3.0 and I now want to transfer it to my new computer running Windows 8.1 Pro. I have the key etc for the purchase. I would think that this isn't compatible with Windows 8.1 so what do I need to do to make the upgrade and transfer possible?

It probably is compatible. I think others can run it on a Win 8.1 system. However Adobe have discontinued the online activation service for CS2 products including AA3. So your present serial number won't work to re-activate Audition. But see here for a remedy.

  • How do i redownload audition 3 to a new computer?

on july 27th 2009 I bought and downloaded adobe audition 3 from the adobe online store. now I have a new computer and would like to redownload it to this computer. the newest version of audition looks great but I cannot afford to buy it. I was informed when I bought audition 3 that since I bought it online I could redownload it whenever I wanted. Yet I cannot seem to figure out how to do it on the adobe website now. Please help.

This FAQ will tell you how to find the download and a special activation code on the Adobe site.

Note that the activation servers for AA3 have been disabled at the Adobe end so you'll need to use the version and code as specified in the link in the first post on the FAQ.

  • How do you transfer Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Student version from old computer to new computer?

i just got a new computer and got my Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Student and Teacher Edition installed from my old computer; however on my new computer, it's only showing up as Adobe Reader and not the Acrobat XI Pro version. I've only had it for less than 3 months and it is NOT a trial version. It is fully paid for. Please help. Thanks!

Same problem here. I deactivated Tech Comm Suite, and when I got my new laptop, I installed the new Tech Comm Suite, which is fully licensed. It won't let me open Acrobat.

  • How do I transfer the Adobe Acrobat XI Pro to a new computer?

I downloaded Adobe Acrobat XI Pro from the internet last week and I am changing computers in my office today.  How can I transfer this program to my new computer when the program did not give me an option to SAVE it when downloading it?  I really want to use it on my new computer and do not wish to purchase it again since no one will be using the old computer after it is switched out.
    Thanks for your help.  Michelle

I assume you have your S/N (or subscription information). In that case, you can download from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. You should deactivate the version on the old computer so you keep your activations current. Also, be sure to register your installation, particularly with the S/N for the future so you have access to info online (like your S/N). Also make a backup of the install file on a CD or backup drive for the future -- a download may not always be available, and even if it is it may be hard to find.

  • Cannot activate Adobe Acrobat on new computer

My PC "died" but I was able to deactivate my Adobe Acrobat Pro.
My new computer is a Mac but I run windows 7 on it.
I Downloaded Adobe Acrobat Pro but my serial number will not activate. I Logged in to Adobe and verified my number. What now?
How can I "talk to" a support person about this?

    Hi GingerVero,
Please let me know what version of Acrobat are you using.
What error do you get when you try to activate?
Also give me the serial number and I wll check it for you.
Send me a private message. Do not post it here.
If you dont know how to do that refer : http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1184148

  • Adobe won't recognize that I uninstalled CS on old computer, won't let me activate on new computer

Adobe won't recognize that I uninstalled CS on my old computer, won't let me activate it on new computer.

Yes, uninstalling is not the same as deactivating. Call support to reset activations.
