  • Adobe Bridge won't start. Shows message: Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working

Running Windows 8, with 16GB memory, running 64-bit Bridge. When I try to start Bridge it loads, shows main screen, then immediately shows dialog that says Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working. Only options are to debug or close program. I did Ctrl/Click and cleared the three resets and I also tried running it as admin.
So far, I'm one for three with the Creative Suite. Installed PS on the above box, works fine, But can't install PS on my Mac--more than an hour with TS with no joy. And now can't launch CC on Windows.

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 has stopped working - has issue been resolved?

    Hello.
I am experiencing the above problem with a new install of CS6.
    Has this issue been resolved?
CS6 Design and Web Premium installed on Win 7 pro 64 bit Dell Precision laptop. Error with Adobe Bridge cs6: "Adobe Bridge CS6 has stopped working", problem event name "APPCRASH". Error occurs when opening Bridge from Photoshop and other apps (Browse in Bridge) and directly from desktop or start menu. Also a cache directory is not being created under c:\user\<user>\appdata\roaming\adobe\bridge\. Holding ctrl key down and double clicking icon gets same message, cannot get at reset window.
Performed the following with no change: verified Bridge and full suite is on latest version (Bridge=5.0.2.4); created desktop icon directly from bridge.exe; verified application was installed and is starting with administrator privileges; verified latest display driver installed; performed complete uninstall of CS6, CC cleaner tool run, then full reinstall; Error under Event Viewer: faulting application: Bridge.exe and faulting module name: ntdll.dll; disabled UAC; tested memory for damage using MemTest86-good.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

A follow up to the above.
There appears to be a number of possible causes for this type of error. In my case it was somewhat specific. I had a stand alone copy on this same machine previously of Adobe Photoshop CS2 (only) which was completely uninstalled prior to the installation of CS6. There is an issue with Bridge CS6 being installed on a machine that has Bridge CS2 on it. I wasn't aware of Bridge being present with my copy of Photoshop CS2 but apparently there were at least some components of Bridge CS2 left after the uninstall. The workaround that solved the issue for me was the creation of an empty folder:
    C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CS2
For those of you who may have this situation.
Here is where I found the solution (sixth thread down):
    Bridge CS6 won't open running on Win7

  • Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working -again

After many months of pain caused by Bridge CC not working it seemed to be cleared up in Sept '14. (I used just about every fix that was suggested incl. preferences changed to have no program load on startup, managing cache, etc.) I has been working flawlessly until today. My pc notified re: windows updates were ready to install. I cleaned my pc, closed all programs and installed 23 updates. (Win7, 64bit) Updates seemed to install cleanly but Bridge CC will not open and displays a white screen and the msg "Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working" This began immediately after the os updates were installed so I suspected that was the issue. I restored the pc to before the updates and CC will still not open (stopped) and in desperation I tried Bridge CS6. CS6 opened normally and I was able to open a folder. Touching the space bar should have opened the selected file to full screen image but instead I got the same error msg now saying Adobe Bridge CS6 has stopped working. I have the same programs on my laptop and CC opens and works properly. So that sounds like my pc and not Bridge is the problem but there is an incompatibility somewhere and I am stuck and my work is piling up as I speak. I need my bridge back!

  • Problem: Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working

I run a Windows computer with Windows 8 64bits OS. When I try to start Adobe Bridge CC I get a message "Adobe Bridge CC has stopped working". I Tried to delete preferences (started with ctrl-key) but no cigar. Then I uninstalled Adobe Bridge and reinstalled it, but still no cigar. The same message occurs whenever I try to open a folder with more than a few pictures in it. My only option is "Close program". Someone has a solution?

I got the reset window but only two options was available (the reset workspace was greyed out). My machine has 16GB ram. The "funny" thing is that suddenly the problem disappeared. I installed Bridge CS6 to circumvent, but one day I started CC again and everything was ok.

  • Adobe Flash Player Won't work!

I am trying to use Adobe Flash Player on my account on me and my brother's computer. We have Windows 7. My brother's account's Flash Player works fine on his, but my account, no matter what I do, won't let player work. I thought it had something to do with our antivirus program, Kaspersky PURE 3.0, but turning it off or temporarily disabling it doesn't seem to help at all. Please help me ASAP, thanks!

Sorry I didn't explain that. "Won't Work" means that when I try to play a game on the internet that uses Flash Player, it won't start (usually just has a black window where the game should start up).

  • Adobe Bridge permission issues when working with network account

We have some users using Adobe Bridge CS3, CS4 and CS5.
They are using Bridge to browse arround the file server.
I have ACL's so the users can have full access using the Finder, deleting, making folders etc.
Users are logged in to their AD account with their home folder synced to a Mac OS X server 10.6.4.
Unless they are Posix owner of a folder they can't make changes or nothing using Bridge.
If they log in to a local account on a Mac and then manually connect to a share on the same server all is fine with Bridge. They can make folders, delete files etc etc.
    Any ideas?
I know Adobe made it easy for themselfs years ago by simply stating it is not supported to work on a server using any Adobe app.

As you said Adobe washed their hands of the matter and as any business customer is almost certainly going to use a server, and as Adobe products are so expensive pretty much only business customers can afford them, this is totally inexcusable.
I had a similar network login related problem with Acrobat Pro in version 7.0 which after +two years+ (no exaggeration) was eventually fixed in Acrobat Pro 8.1. Unfortunately it was then broken again in Acrobat Pro 9.0. Based on my experiences with Acrobat Pro and due to a totally different reason (nothing to to do with using Adobe SW) I found that when I switched from using AFP for network home directories to instead using NFS, my problems with Adobe software and network login accounts went away.
So, it might be worth your thinking about switching to using NFS for home directories as a workaround.
Adobe have become even worse than Microsoft for their software. They use a variety of sucky installers instead of Apple's free Installer (Microsoft have switched to using Apple's Installer), they use product activation, they are even worse than MS Office at working with servers. The only redeeming fact Adobe has is that their Mac and Windows products are mostly equivalent unlike Microsoft who still cripple their Mac software.

  • Adobe Bridge CS6 has stopped working

Having recently purchased Photoshop CS6 (Download Version), I've discovered Adobe Bridge will not function. The OS is Windows 7 professional.

    Can anyone help?
    David.

    Good Morning Curt Y
Many thanks for responding to my problem. Unfortunately, I did not get a reset window and the same issues are occurring.
Regarding ‘resetting preferences’, I presume you are referring to Photoshop Preferences – I don’t see any reset to defaults within any of these options.
There were two other details in the Problem Signature which I may have missed namely:
    Fault Module Name:     Bridge.exe
                                                                                    Fault Module Version:   5.0.2.4
I don’t know how to proceed, can you help?

  • Adobe Bridge 5.1 stops working on open in Windows 7. Tried purging, no help.

Tried purging by holding Ctrl and clicking all three options but to no avail.
    Any insight?

Ok, in the Event Viewer, I am getting the following in Application Error
"Windows cannot access the file  for one of the following reasons: there is a problem with the network connection, the disk that the file is stored on, or the storage drivers installed on this computer; or the disk is missing. Windows closed the program Adobe Bridge CS5.1 because of this error.
    Program: Adobe Bridge CS5.1
    File:
The error value is listed in the Additional Data section.
    User Action
    1. Open the file again. This situation might be a temporary problem that corrects itself when the program runs again.
    2. If the file still cannot be accessed and
              - It is on the network, your network administrator should verify that there is not a problem with the network and that the server can be contacted.
              - It is on a removable disk, for example, a floppy disk or CD-ROM, verify that the disk is fully inserted into the computer.
    3. Check and repair the file system by running CHKDSK. To run CHKDSK, click Start, click Run, type CMD, and then click OK. At the command prompt, type CHKDSK /F, and then press ENTER.
    4. If the problem persists, restore the file from a backup copy.
    5. Determine whether other files on the same disk can be opened. If not, the disk might be damaged. If it is a hard disk, contact your administrator or computer hardware vendor for further assistance."
Right BELOW that, it is saying there is a problem with Bridge because of Quicktime:
"Faulting application name: Bridge.exe, version: 4.1.0.54, time stamp: 0x4d6f26b3
Faulting module name: QuickTimeAuthoring.qtx, version: 7.72.80.56, time stamp: 0x4f8f8aad
    Exception code: 0xc000001d
    Fault offset: 0x0010e061
    Faulting process id: 0x1008
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cf2f67ed9dcb37
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Bridge CS5.1\Bridge.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem\QuickTimeAuthoring.qtx
    Report Id: 30cc3cd5-9b5b-11e3-9da8-d479b817000b"
What does this mean? I already reloaded Bridge twice but to no avail and the program opens fine when I try to open in my Picturres files , just not when openeing fropm Desktop.

  • Cannot uninstall Adobe Air & Adobe Media Player won't work...

When I try to uninstall Adobe Air (version 1.0), I get an
error which tells me to contact my Administrator... well, I am the

Does anyone have any idea as to how I can effectively and
completely uninstall this application? Also, my version of Adobe
