Adobe Bridge not reading cache

Every time I boot up my computer I get a warning that says:
Briddge enconutered a problem and is aunable to read the cache.
Please try purging the central cache in Cache Preferences to correct the situation.
Then another warning pops up, saying:
Runtime Error! Program C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Adobe BridgeCS5\Bridge.exe
R6034
An Application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
Has anybody had this glitch and do you know how to get rid of this anoying problem? It makes my computer slow to boot up by as much as 5 minutes!
Thanks!

Try this, it worked for me.
Hold option and command key together while opening Bridge. Reset settings window appears. click "Purge Entire Thumbnail Cache". See if this works. (OS 10.7.5)

  • Scripts in Adobe Bridge not loading

Startup Scripts in Adobe Bridge not loading when I am in my admin account. I made a new account and the scripts load fine. Is there a permission issue or something? Adobe and I tracked it to a system issue and they left me there. Other than setting up this new account and just using that, is there any alturnitives that will help me keep my current account and make Bridge load right?

You need to check two things:
    1) are you uploading the new files each time you make any change?
    2) Are you clearing the browser cache just in cache it is not refreshing because of the same name?
When you have checked these two things and if the problem persists then you will need to upload the page and provide a link here to others to check in their browsers and to see if all the pictures are online.
    Hope this helps.

  • Adobe Bridge Not Browsing My Computer

I have been trying to browse my computer so I can see thumbnails of my quicktime mov files, but at this moment Adobe Bridge will stop responding while building the criteria. If I choose to browse other folders on my C Drive it does this with great ease and opens the folders and files. If I go to computer it will just not open that. I have got 1.5 TB esata hdd and internal Intel Raid 0 partitioned to 2TB and 1tb Respectively. These are the drives which I want to browse. It was working fine yesterday, but just don't know what happenned for it to stop browsing my computer.
I have tried purging the cache and everything resetting by holding different keys but it just won't help. Thought could reinstall just Bridge, but it does not appear on the 1st install disc of my Premium Production CS5. I haven't got enough time to wait for a reinstall and updating coz I will lose almost 3 hours of my work.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If nothing happened then you are not doing it correctly.  If you got the reset window and nothing changed when implemented that is a different issue.

i have a problem with galleries i have created with adobe bridge and dreamweaver cs4.
when i update the gallery in bridge, and update in dreamweaver; and then upload to the remote server, the changes do not show on the website.  can anyone help?
i've tried a few things like deleting the file off the remote server and uploading again but nothing.

  • CS5 Extended Adobe Bridge Not Working

I am using CS5 Extended Adobe Photoshop Student and Teacher Edition. It was working properly not 'til I installed Check It Registry Cleaner this morning. When I started to work on certain pictures I took this afternoon, and I open Adobe Bridge so I can drag the photo on the main layer and use refine edge, I do not see the "+" while dragging the photo. In this regard, do I have to uninstall CS5 Extended Adobe Photoshop and re-install again. On another note, I turned off the computer and tried to see if it will work properly, but it will not drag the photo to the main layer so I can use refine edge. Your response in this regard is greatly appreciated.

  • Why is Adobe Bridge not showing the changes I had done on Camera Raw?

Dear all, I am trying out Adobe Bridge and discovered that after editing in Camera Raw (ACR), the changes was not shown on the thumbnail.
I am using photo (1), which is the top left corner photo, as my main and tried to apply changes to the remaining 5 photos.
I randomly changed the temperature to the mix and click "done".
You can see that (1) thumbnail did not change after my changes in ACR. Nevetheless, I then apply previous conversion to the remaining photos.
Neither (1) nor other photos have changes on the thumbnail.
Please note that when I check all the photos, inside ACR, I can see the changes (in temperature).
How may I make the thumbnail change show in Bridge after I edited in ACR? The purpose is that I hope that  from the look (without clicking), I know there is changes (e.g changes in temperature).
[Note: I do not own the photo(s)]
    Thank you for your help.

  • Adobe Bridge not showing updated folders or files

I created a couple of new folders on a network drive yesterday afternoon (via Windows 7 explorer) and popped in some photographs. Adobe Bridge doesn't show the new folders. I've searched everywhere under lots of different keywords but, while a few people seem to have experienced this, nobody seems to have listed a solution anywhere.
I'd be very grateful for any advice.

Check your permissions and clear the Bridge Cache.

  • Adobe Bridge Timecode reader?

    Hi,
this is just a quick simple question which I hope someone will be able to answer relatively quickly.
In adobe bridge CS3 I have imported quick time files (well, I am looking at them in adobe bridge) and I need to see the time code for the clips and have it in the meta data.
The quick times have this data embedded in them as I can see it beside the play head and also in the quick time movie inspector information so it is definitely in the file to start with. I just wondered if there is a way adobe bridge can see this information and display it to me?
    Yours,
    Melvym

    Lorraine,
Select the file you want Adobe Reader to open. Do a Get Info (command-I). In the drop down box select Adobe Reader. Then select "Change All" to have Adobe Reader open all PDF files.

  • Adobe Bridge not Working

I have just purchased Photoshop CS6 extended and though Adobe Bridge is installed, I cannot get it to open within or outside of CS6. I have 64 bit Windows 7 and I can see that the Bridge software is installed and CS6 is working fine. It keeps on saying "waiting for Bridge CS6" so it must be a setup problem that should not exist. What must I do as I am not an IT techie?

  • Why does Adobe X not read an Adobe 9 file?

I have an ISPL for a vehicle that could be read by Adobe Reader 9 (not 9.5). Since upgrading my computer and using Adobe Reader X, I no longer have access to my files. Does anyone have a copy of Adobe Reader 9. I've tried Adobe.com but the earliest version they have is Adobe Reader 9.5

My old computer had Windows XP as the OS with Adobe Reader 9. My new computer now uses Windows 7. Using XP, I could read a disc with a ISPL (Illustrated Spare Parts List) on it.My new computer had Adobe Reader X installed on it but it would not read the disc, I kept getting error messages. Now, using the new computer, with the earliest available reader from Adobe for Windows 7, Adobe Reader 9.5, I still get an error message saying that the file is corrupt or has been sent as an email attachment. The disc where the files are was created by Heritage Motor Centre and contains General information, the ISPL and a Workshop manual for a Landrover Discovery. These are the files referred to as I own a Landrover Discovery 300Tdi. Should I now need any spares or information to repair my vehicle, I have to resort to a Landrover specialist.

  • Can Bridge not read / see the Finder's color labels...?

I have got a whole stack of images files, in a few nested folders on my Mac, and they have all been painstakingly individually color-labelled in the Finder with various colors.
I now want to manage these files and perform various actions on them, based on their colors, and so I have opened up the folders in Bridge, but Bridge is not showing the colors of the files.
I know Bridge has its own color-labels set-up, but this does not work in conjunction with the Finder, so even if I went through and re-labelled them all in Bridge, the changes would not be reflected in the Finder -- and I do still need to view the color-labels outside of Bridge / in the Finder, because I won't ONLY be using these files from within Bridge.
So, simply put, is there no way I can get Bridge to read and display the color-label information as shown in the Finder?

So, simply put, is there no way I can get Bridge to read and display the
color-label information as shown in the Finder?
No, you can't see those finder labels in Bridge.
There is however a reasonable simply workaround I would think.
In Finder create several new folders, for each label one folder.
Open another Finder window and put this in column mode. Use view options in
Finder and add the column 'label' to the window. Now press on the name label
at top of this column and your labels are selected per color above each
    other.
Drag and drop them manual to the new created folders. And you can easily
repeat this for the other nested folders.
You can also add the new color label folders temporally to the favorite
column left at the finder window so drag and drop is even more easier.
After this in Bridge point to each folder and assign a suitable bridge label
color to it. Now you can work with Bridge color labels
Also in Bridge you have options to rate with stars and add keywords so
filtering has dozens of ways to retrieve your grouped files at once using
    the filter panel.

  • Showing linked files in Adobe Bridge not available for files on AD Volume?

In Bridge: when right clicking on a local InDesign Document that has external links, the context menu will have an action "show linked files" (in german "Verknüpfte Dateien anzeigen").
But, when doing the same on an InDesign Document located on an Adobe Drive Volume, this context menu action is missing.
    1. Can this action be enabled for documents on Adobe Drive Volumes at all?
    2. If so, are there any special things to do in the connector plugin (e.g. special properties, a special mime type for the doc, ...)?
    3. If not so, when will you enable this functionality?

    Really, no answer?
This issue is obvious. And it seems to be the case, that only Adobe can rectify the issue at all, probably in an updated Adobe Drive version.
Or maybe, someone already dealt with this issue and invented special properties for exposing linked files to Bridge? Though unlikely... Right?
    Any answer is welcome!

  • Adobe Bridge not showing some images

After a crash of my PC (Windows XP Home), I had to re-install Photoshop CS2.  Now, however, when I'm trying to review images in Bridge (in filmstrip view) only some of the thumbnails appear as photos; the remainder appear only as icons.  There appears to be no consistency; some are PSD files, some are TIF files. The rotating "clock hands" on the lower left (when images are loading) do not even appear in those cases.
Any idea how to get this back?  It's really tough reviewing images when I can't even see them!
Thank you in advance for your help.    --Dennis

  • Key words (metadata) created in Adobe Bridge not searchable with Leopard

I archive a LOT of photos on my computer. I had tagged countless keywords into my thousands of photos. I could search for the keywords in Finder and life was great. I had upgraded to Leopard and my keywords disappeared! I have reverted back to Tiger after other issues. My power source failed and I was having bluetooth and ethernet issues.
Now with Tiger back, my keywords have reappeared. Will they once again disappear if I load Leopard again?

You can try, but I am guessing that the metadata importer used by Spotlight that Adobe wrote for Bridge isn't compatible with Leopard.
