Adobe Bridge "sort" tab crashing iMac computer
Using adobe bridge go to the view tab, then sort and sort by file type etc. This function does not work, instead my iMac crashes. Any suggestions as to corrections?

Adobe Flash Player keep crashing my computer
Starting several months ago, watching any videos which utilized Adobe Flash started to crash my computer fairly often. I would say my computer has about a 50% chance of crashing every time I watch a video. Sometimes I can watch 5 videos in a row and other times the video will barely start and my computer will crash. I have tried updating my graphics card driver and making sure I have the latest version of flash player. Does anyone know what might be happening?

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU(Q9550)
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTS 250
RAM: 4GB DDR2
Motherboard: GA-EP45-UD3PSorry this is happening on your system. What OS and browser are you using? A couple of things to try, first disable hardware acceleration to see if that makes an impact.
If it does, then we're probably dealing with a driver issue. Post back with your system's dxdiag report and we'll take a look. If it doesn't help, the next step would be to try going back to a previous version of the Player to figure out when this started occurring.

Whenever I try to play a flash video my PC completely crashes or freezes.
If Flash videos actually crash your entire computer, rather than causing [[The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed]] notice, try this:
Turn off hardware acceleration in your Flash Player display settings (Right-click on any Flash video, click "Settings", select the Display tab and uncheck “Enable hardware acceleration".

Adobe Bridge CS3 is crashing everytime it attempts to open.
I am running a MacBook Pro with 10.9.4. Today when I attempted to open Bridge CS3, it crashed. No error. Just crash. Repeatedly. I have deleted all Adobe and reinstalled, but Bridge continues to crash. I have used the "shift/option" menu to reset prefs, etc, and it still crashes. I downloaded a supposed patch for Bridge & installed it even though my APP store didn't want me to, and Bridge continues to crash.
I'm a photographer and depend on Bridge as my photo browser.
Any other ideas for me to try?Well, I don't know what just happened to the gremlins, but get this:
On a whim, I held down only the shift key while attempting once again to open Bridge. And it OPENED without crashing.
I was afraid to let up on the key...but I did and Bridge did not crash. I browsed a couple of photo folders, closed Bridge....reopened it WITHOUT the shift key & it opened. I've now tried that several times and it's not crashing. And while I'm glad it's working, I'm not holding my breath that it will continue to work. WEIRD.
I'm going to re-start the macbook pro and see what happens. -
Adobe Bridge CS4 keeps crashing, can not be opened. What am I supposed to do?
I have Adobe Bridge CS4 and after the restart I get the message:

Adobe Bridge CS5.1 crashes if directory contains .zip archive
Every time I try to open a directory that contains .zip archive in Adobe Bridge CS5.1 it crashes. This started to happen after Mountain Lion upgrade.
It crashes even when I generate .zip archive in a directory that is already opened in Bridge.
Is it related to some new Mountain Lion "security feature" that can be turned off? My computers only purpose is running Adobe Creative Suite so this is pretty big issue. Browsing directories in Bridge is like walking through the mine field, you newer know where .zip archive is waiting.Yep, same here. Running Adobe bridge CS5.1, upgraded to Mountain Lion yesterday. Navigated to folder that contained a zip file and Bridge crashed. I removed the zip file, launched Bridge again,and went to that same folder. Worked perfectly. On a hunch, I dragged a zip file back into that folder in Bridge, and *WHAP* down she goes again.
Looks like we wait for a fix. *sigh*
Unless...File type association somehow comes into it? Interesting, I just checked (it's under Preferences) and neither a zip file or a doc file is in the list.
Furthermore, there doesn't seem to be any way to add a new file type. Hm. Don't know if it has anything to do with the crashing, but man, what a pain this is! -
Issue with Adobe Bridge batch rename crashing
Hi, I have been trying to rename photo files in Adobe Bridge CC using the batch rename tool. I have just started using CC apps. All the updates are done. It crashes after doing just a few files. Started with 40 files at a time, crashed. Empty folder cache. Tried with 20 files, worked for a few times then crashed again. Tried 10 files and it crashed immediately. I found directions online (unfortunately it was for CS5, but I assume it's similar to CC). Any ideas on what to do differently? I really need to get these photos renamed and to a client tomorrow. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not sure what this should have to do with your batch rename problem. Your specs seem more then sufficient and batch renaming does only save the files you already have cached.
First check if you have enough free space left on your disk (at least 10 - 15 % free space is needed for good operation of your system and apps) and also try to reset preferences for Bridge by holding down contrl key while restarting Bridge. Check reset preferences from the pop up window and try again. -
I recently downloaded CC into my iMac. The Bridge sort feature causes my computer to crash.
I use the sort feature in Bridge to sort my images by file type and date created. The sort feature causes my iMac to crash and of course does not sort. The CC is a recent download, and my iMac is new and updated.

That's a *kernel panic.*
They are usually caused by hardware problems, but can be software.
If you have any other peripherals, disconnect them all. Reconnect one at a time to be sure it's really the external disk, and only the external disk.
Run the Apple Hardware Test, from the separate disc that came with your Mac.

Reload Adobe Photoshop cs from crashed XP computer to new windows 8 computer.
How do I load an Adobe Photoshop cs that was originally installed on an old PC which crashed ? The old PC had XP and the new computer has windows 8.
If you really are talking about Photoshop CS (from 2003) then forget about existing discs and existing serial numbers. They won't work.
The activation server for CS2 (and earlier versions) was decommissioned by Adobe a couple of years ago. Now you must download a new non-activation version and license the software with a new non-activation serial number.

There's no guarantee that CS2 will work on Windows 8 but there's no harm in trying. -
Can't run Adobe Bridge on my new iMac :(
I'm the proud owner of a new iMac and used migration assistant to transfer from my old iMac.
I noticed I couldn't use the same account name with the new machine so I used a slightly different one and didn't think anymore of it.
I downloaded Photoshop CS6 (which includes Bridge) directly to the new machine. Photoshop opens and runs beautifully but Bridge refuses to open at all.
The error message is (a very helpful) 'Operation could not be completed'.
A google told me it was something to do with permissions so I created a new account and voilá, Bridge opens just fine in the new account.
Could anyone help me fix the issue? I made sure the program itself had read/write permissions assigned and I trashed the old Bridge preferences. I've run disk utility and repaired permissions there as well but no joy.

Select the HDD where your account is located - Usually Machintosh HD
Select your Account
DO NOT Reset your Password

Click Reset Button and Wait for completion
Restart the mac and check your issue. -

I recently just got the newest MacBook Pro that came out and everytime I click command+tab (on my older mac, this would let me switch between programs easily) it will freeze my entire computer, then restart. It comes up with this error code:

How do I export my "manual sorting" of files to my new Adobe Bridge CC installation?

I'll try to explain my situation:
I have Adobe Bridge CC installed on my computer. I use the "manual sorting" to view and manage my files (mostly .eps/.psd).
I'm moving to Win8.1 and I don't want to loose my manual sorting. How do I save/export my manual sorting in order to import it on a new Bridge installation?

Manual sorting is not meant for a permanent sort order nor is it designed to do so, when switching to a new window or other sort order you will loose the previous sort order. However there is a way to retrieve the last sort order used with a script Paul Riggott once wrote. But I'm not sure you can transport this sorting to a new system version because when you install a system from scratch you also need to recache the files for the Bridge Cache library. It might be possible to also copy the hidden file with the last sort order but that would mean a trial and error procedure.

Personal I would use batch rename to keep the sort order safe. You can select all files in the content window and add a sequence number in front (with enough digits to match your number of files) of your existing filename. In this way you can easily resort your collection when your manual sorting is lost for whatever reason and also the files will have the correct sort order on your system folder also. -

I'm getting wierd crashes in a few cloud programs, like Dreamweaver too. As for Bridge crashing, it opens and I can navigate folders until I hit a directory with images. The thumbnails don't build, they all remain just a gray box and I can see the directory for a couple seconds. Then the crash occurs. This happens no matter what directory I navigate to and no matter what drive I navigate to. Once I hit a directory with image thumbnails, there is a waiting for the gray thumbs to render, then the crash. I've reinstalled Bridge now 3 times. Wondering if I should just uninstall all things Adobe Creative Cloud and start from scratch with a fresh install of the whole shabang?

since upgrading to Mountain Lion adobe bridge 5.0 crashes! HELP!
Have you made your user Library-folder visible in Finder?
I did that in the Terminal and shortly after that the crashes started for me.
I just updated to 10.8.2 and that made the user Library-folder invisible again.
At the same time Bridge started behaving properly.
Not saying that's anything other than a coincidence.
