Adobe Captivate 7 acknowledgment page to verify the completed the course was completed

Am I able to add an acknowledgment page at the end of a course for the student to verify the course was completed and they understand everything? I want the user to fill in the text box with their name and hit submit and it send an email to a speific trainer, however when I select send an email it just pulls up a blank email to send to that person advanced actions scripting does the same thing.

    Hi there
    As I recall there were two different "fixes" for audio with Captivate 4. One involved replacing the dll and another had something to do with installation problems on Windows XP. So give the link below a try.

  • Adobe Captivate 7 crops right hand side of the selection window

    Just installed a new copy of adobe captivate on a brand new laptop and have found that it is cropping/cutting off the right hand side of my selection.  If i snap to the application window of choice, it is selcting the correct area.  After i have finished recording and press "end" key, it shows slides with a large chunk of the selction missing from the right. Have updated the software, but still the same issue.

  • I downloads the latest iTunes software update and it properly installed.  But,  I cannot close the window showing it was completed and the blue completion bar is full but cannot cancel or close it either.  Any ideas on how to clear that out and close the

    I downloaded the latest iTunes software update and it properly installed.  But,  I cannot close the update window showing it was completed and the blue completion bar is full but cannot cancel or close it either.  Any ideas on how to clear that out and close the window.  Tried to quit on both the big window and the software update title in the menu bar.  No luck.

    Tried that by shutting down via the power button only as the normal shutdown was nixed by the open window issue.  It did not help.  Found a very similar question in the discussions and it recommended "Force Quit".  That worked and the update works normal and the window is gone.  Thanks!

    Since you do not have the option to re-install at the moment try these:
    1)Re-create plugin cache (hold down the shift key while launching Premiere Pro)
    2)Search the specific file on the hard driver(most probably it is going to be in the Premiere Pro folder), move it to a different location and then try to launch application.
    3)Also try launching application in a new user account.

  • Multiple reviewers cannot open CREV files in Adobe Captivate Reviewer 1.0 after the first review

    We are using Captivate 4.0 with Captivate Reviewer 1.0 for review and comments. The problem we are having just started within the last month...
    We place the CREV file and folder on the network so that multiple reviewers can access. All have Adobe Captivate Reviewer 1.0 installed.
    When the first person opens the CREV file, they are told that the folder is already in use, and that they must create another.
    Once a new folder is created a user may open the CREV file and make comments and save them. However, subsequent reviewers cannot open the CREV file to add their comments. Subsequent reviewes must create anothe folder and then they can open and review the file and add comments.
    However, because the CREV file is now saving comments in a different folder, reviewers cannot see each others comments. The last module we did where everthing worked correctly and multiple reviewers could open and comment the same file without any issues was about one month ago on 07/29. We have no idea if something has changed since then that would render Captivate Reviewer 1.0 inoperable, but we'd like to see if anyone else has seen and/or resolved this issue...

    No, I've had WIndows 7 since it was released through MSDN.  Adobe Captivate 4, released in January 2009, was the most recent version of Captivate available when Windows 7 was released to MSDN and Technet subscribers in August 2009.  Captivate 5 was not released until May 2010, almost 9 months after Windows 7 was released to the public.
    Captivate 4 has a message at startup mentioning that one should run it as administrator, which is a Windows 7 feature involving User Account Control.  We bought it sometime after Windows 7 was released but before Captivate 5 was released, otherwise we would have bought Captivate 5.
    Captivate 4 has worked for us on Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP.  For it to work on Windows Vista and up, we had to make sure a particular update was applied.
    The problem is that it works when it feels like it, and the rest of the time it just freezes at startup.  Deleting the app data folder seemed to help, so perhaps it had issues with state corruption.  These issues have plagued this application from day 1 on every OS we've used it on.

  • Adobe Captivate 4 - Flash Not Installed Error

    We are using Adobe Captivate 4 on Windows 7.  Since the Microsoft Windows Updates around January 8, we are unable to open Adobe Captivate 4.  We get the message that the Flash Player is to be installed and the application shuts down after the message that an Internet connection is required.  I have followed the steps on the Adobe Help page:  Error: "Adobe Flash Player is not currently installed" when you start Adobe Captivate with no success.  I have even uninstalled Adobe Captivate 4, reinstalled it and followed the instructions on the aforementioned Help page.  No luck.  I am running Firefox and Internet Explorer and IE is the default browser.  Adobe Captivate 4 acts as though it cannot connect to the Adobe Flash website, but I already have the most current Flash Player installed.  We use Adobe Captivate 4 primarily for Quizzes since we can effectively e-mail the results to trainers. We do have Adobe Captivate 7 and the Quiz Results e-mail feature does not send the results; only a blank e-mail shell.  Is there any solution to this Captivate 4 problem?

    Unfortunately, that is not an option.   I work for a state government and the computers are locked down for security reasons.  Updates are handled by an IT group and pushed out to all state computers.  We were running Flash Player 10 and everything worked fine until the Flash Player Update was pushed out as a Microsoft Update on January 8th.  There have been subsequent "Security Updates" to the Flash Player pushed out via Microsoft and none have corrected the problem.  Even if I could uninstall the current Flash Player and install an older version, it would just be updated to the current Flash Player tonight.

    In Adobe Captivate 8 if you use the feature "Send for Shared Review" and select the option "Send Email" and "Attach Adobe Captivate Reviewer" the end result is a link generated in the email to download Adobe Captivate Reviewer (doesn't attach it as indicated).
    As noted in the email Adobe Captivate 8 Reviewer is REQUIRED to review the file. No big deal there is a link to it in the email : the download link - http://www.adobe.com/go/cp8.0_reviewerapp
    Unfortunately that link redirects to another page http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/captivate-6-review-app and on that page there is no Adobe Captivate 8 Reviewer link to download. *screenshot of the page below*

    When sharing the link for people to review use the same link http://www.adobe.com/go/cp8.0_reviewerapp but just give instructions to use the one specified for 7.0 (mac or windows).

    Hello fellow Adobe Captivate Users,
    I have the opportunity to get certified in Adobe Captivate but there are no training resources. Has anyone completed the certification? If so what training resources did you use?
    I called Adobe customer support and they stated that the Adobe Captvate 5 User guide would suffice. However, having compared the certification test preparation guide to the user guide, there are some pertinent functions that are not covered in the user guide.
    Any suggestions would be helpful!  I am not looking for tips on the test just some good resources to help me pass the test. A heads up on whether the test is difficult would be helpful I think.

    Question: I have purchased a Adobe Captivate 4 license and I have downloaded  the setup file from adobe site and installed in a x86 windows XP machine  which is joined in a windows 2003 server ADS.At first I installed as  trial version once installed I provided the key after all a windows will  come up with asking the license agreement I click accept but Nothing  will happen nothing will run in the system, also I cant uninstall when  clicking uninstall nothing is happen .I have tried installing by  creating a folder under the program files as adobe2 then I can start the  program but after a while or afte many time but this doesn't help .I  have the same problem in other machines too. can any one help me?r a day  it will again as the license agreement windows and I selected accept  then the same problem I have tried reinstalling

  • Adobe Captivate 4 & Adobe Reviewer

    We are trying to share Adobe Captivate files using Adobe Reviewer, and while I am able to send it to colleagues and have them open the files, when they click the "Save" button in the Captivate Reviewer, I am not able to see the comments. Instead, they have to send me the .xml files which I then have to import. Is this a bug of some sort, or are we doing something wrong?

    Apparently, that is by design.  I was having the same problem and when I looked in Adobe Captivate Reviewer help, it indeed specified that the .xml file is what reviewers should sent to the author.

  • Adobe Captivate 4 won't stop using my webcam

    Hello to all.
    I am using Adobe Captivate 4 to make some projects.
    The problem is, after i install AC4 i can't use my webcam.
    I reinstalled my OS, and i installed my applications one by one and after instaling AC4 my webcam stops working.
    It says to close the application that is using it.
    How can i stop AC4 to use my webcam?

    Is this an external or internal WebCam?
    This is odd because Captivate generally cannot record using a WebCam. However, I note that my Microsoft LifeChat WebCam also has a built in microphone. So I'm wondering if it's the Microphone that is being used or seen by Captivate.

    When trying to add additional slides to the end of a
    recording I keep getting "Another session of Adobe Captivate is
    currently recording. Please close the other session of Adobe
    Captivate before trying to record." There is no recording to end
    that I can find, either within the program or on the task bar, and
    have to close out of the program. Does ANYONE have the answer???

    Hi 1leona and welcome to our community
    Hmmm, one thing you may try would be to close Captivate
    saving your current project along the way, then restart Captivate
    and re-open your project. Then click the “Record”
    button on your toolbar and see if it still balks.
    I really wish I had a better answer than that, as I do
    believe I've seen this issue posted here before. And I don't
    believe I've ever seen a conclusive “this fixed it”
    type of answer or reply.
    So give this a go and see if it helps any. I'm crossing my
    fingers and hoping it will!

  • Adobe Captivate File: Won't Open, Fatal Error

    I'm on a Dell PC Laptop.  I've saved an Adobe Captivate 7 file, then exported it to Flash format.  I can't open the FLA or SWF files that I exported.   When I try to open the original Adobe Captivate file (using Adobe Captivate 7) it gets up to 60% and stops and says a "Fatal Error" has occurred and the program needs to close.  I can't even open the Adobe Captivate software program to start a new project.  My coworker tried opening the saved Adobe Captivate file on his computer but it said it was "open by another user or the file was corrupt" so couldn't open it there either.  Please help!

    Click on Organize -> Folder Options
    Go to "View" Tab and check "Show hidden files and folder"
    Once you click on "OK", you will see AppData
