Adobe Captivate 7: "Flip over" animation?

I'd like to include an animation that basically is circles that state "OBJECTIVES" and then having each circle "flip over" to show more text (the various objects of the video). Does Captivate have this type of animation/capability and I'm just missing it? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Thanks,
NeoSpeech seem to work on PC, not on a Mac.
Their Voice Cloud service only offers English voices.
In all the voices NeoSpeech offers, the only  French voice, is Chloe.
Chloe is already installed with the language package for Captivate, and work´s well.
Still can’t find a French MAN spoking voice to integrate directly into Captivate…
Althought I found this (where there is two french man’s voices) : http://www2.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php
But, needs to be generated on the web, then needs to be dowlaoded, then need to be imported into the project, and then must be synchronised into the timeline...
Thanks again and have a nice day
Mel

  • I'm having issues in Adobe Captivate 7 with the animated red circle.

    I use it in 6 different slides, each slide is identical, except for the audio and the location of the animated red circle.  Two of the slides play automatically when entering, as I would like them to.  The animated red circle appears after a short period of time as I set it to.  The other four slides play the narration when entering, but the slides pause when entering.  I have all of these slides set to continue upon entering.  I don't see any differences between the settings on the slides.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi Alicia,
    Most such issues have been corrected with the latest update. Can you download the latest version (as a trial) and let us know if you are still facing these issues?
    Thanks,
    Preran

  • Captivate 5 swf gallery animations looping e.g. wrong mark

    Hi,  I have used the wrong and correct marks from the Captivate swf animations gallery extensively in a Captivate 4 project.  I have upgraded the project and now these animations loop rather than stop once the mark is drawn.  I tried replacing them with the swf files in the Captivate 5 gallery and they have the same problem.  They are still Actionscript 2... so perhaps that is the problem?  The 'loop' checkbox in the Captivate Properties is shaded out.
    Does anyone know of a fix this this?
    Thankyou.

    Hi,
    So, do you mean if you use the "Wrong Mark.swf" from the following location, even that does not help:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 5\Gallery\SWF Animation\Others
    Thanks,
    Sikandar

  • Powerpoint custom animations to adobe captivate 5.5

    I have Adobe captivate 5.5 on my Mac. I started a captivate presentation from a Powerpoint slide show (2008) in which there were some custom animations on the slides. I requested that the slides auto advance during the import and did not link the presentation.
    When I run the show in captivate the custom animations pause and I have to click each time to advance through the animations. Then the slide show continues in automatic mode.
    Is there any way to control this or do I have to pull apart the slides in ppt to be able to voice over the slides at the appropriate time and have them auto advance?
    Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hi there
    The first thing you will need to do is to publish your Captivate projects as a video format. This means F4V or FLV. You then upload the resulting file to YouTube. However, please note that if you take this approach, you lose any ability for interactivity, such as clicking links to open other resources, simulating an application or quizzing your viewer.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Using Adobe Captivate 6, how can I replicate the PPt text animations wherein I can float in timed?

    Using Adobe Captivate version 6.0, I want to be able to do what I always could in PowerPoint - in a bulleted list, cause each bullet to float (or other animation) into place, establish a timing for each line.

    To do this in Captivate, you need each bullet to be a separate text caption. You can then apply fly-in effects and time them to coincide with the voiceover.  There's no way to make the bullets fly separately in if they are all in the same text caption.

  • Adobe Captivate 8 Crashes on Mac

    Hi,
    Adobe Captivate has crashed twice on me today. Unfortunately, after the second crash I lost 2 hours of work. Does anyone have any trouble shooting tips on how I can fix this? It's the most up-to-date version of Captivate.
    Yes, I realize that I need to save more often. To that effect, are there any AUTO-SAVE features in Captivate? I couldn't find any in the preferences.
    I guess the alternative is to set a timer on my phone to save every 10 minutes ...

    Hi Simpski,
    I don't recall doing anything super complex. I'm adding audio, animations and the like to my slides, but nothing I would tag as overly complex. It's weird!
    Essentially, the program will just close. There's no warning, no crash report - nothing. Not sure if you use a mac, but it acts as if I performed a force quit (which, of course I didn't).
    Nepotist,
    Thanks for chiming in! I'll take a look at that thread and perhaps comment on it.

  • Spinning Globe Adobe Captivate 6

    Hi need to do the following in Adobe Captivate 6 (I was told this forum is the right place to ask for help):
    1) Show a slow-rotating globe move into the screen with pin lights popping up all over the different continents to show we have subscribers all over the world.
    2) Stop the globe on mostly North America and fade it to a watermark in the background.  Show a split screen with a cartoon man in a suit at a computer and a clock on the wall in each screen. One man is on www.facebook.com, the other is starting at a blank document.
    Show the www.facebook.com man click a couple times through the site and download a document. At the same time, show the other man typing out a lot of text on his document. Meanwhile the clock is moving a couple hours. The facebook.com man edits his document, prints it out, and leaves his office. The other man starts to look frustrated and tired as the clock moves forward a couple more hours and he’s still working on the same document.
    Time the animation so that it ends when the last sentence of this part of the script ends.
    Can someone help me create this?

    Yes and No. We have a zero budget for it. Cant outsource the project.
    Just need a simple flash file from a kindly gentelman who could help us out with a Flash file.

  • Adobe Captivate, or the whole Adobe eLearning 6.1 Suite?

    I am building eLearning modules for staff training across a Province - would I need Adobe Captivate, or the whole Adobe eLearning 6.1 Suite?

    Maybe I was not clear: Captivate is not included in the CC but is a separate subscription (which I would recommend over buying license, better price/quality value).
    All depends on what you want to develop? I'm using both Photoshop and Audition (from the CC) intensively for graphical and audio assets. I also use Illustrator (inserting vector graphics as smart objects into Photoshop because of its roundtripping functionality with Captivate). Edge Animate is included in the CC and is great for creating animations. I'm also using several other applications.
    But if you are buying graphics, or use another graphics editor, and can live with the audio created within Captivate (or use Audacity), don't need animations etc, you could just start with Captivate subscription?

  • Can't Open Adobe Captivate 4 File in Captivate 5.5

    Hi,
    Anything special I should try or be aware of?
    Whenever I try to open my 2008 Captivate 4 files in Captivate 5.5, I get the familiar can't-do-that-for-some-reason error message. (The one that suggests the file is already opened, or it was unzipped badly, not enough memory, and so forth.) Since Captivate 5.5 removes the import feature, I can't try that.
    So far, I've tried running it with nothing else open on my computer (I have 10 GB of RAM), made sure to empty the cache first, and so forth.
    In desperation, I'm also redownloading 4 now and giving that a try, but any other suggestions would be great.

    Notes for future searchers... here is how I solved this problem.
    Short Answer: Open the file in 4, resave it, and it opened in 5.5.
    Long Answer:
    I downloaded Adobe Captivate 4. Fortunately, I had my license active and registered here on the Adobe site. Installation of Adobe Captivate 4 on Windows 7 was a bit weird... it asked me to reinstall Flash which I already had installed, it insisted that Adobe Captivate was currently open, and so forth. I let it reinstall Flash and I rebooted, and 4 was good to go. I made sure to install Captivate 4 in a custom location, not wanting to overwrite any resources or other things in the Adobe folder for 5.5. Then I opened the old file. It actually performed some kind of update thing when I did this, which leads me to believe that I was formerly working with a less-than-latest version of 4 or maybe even 3! Once it completed, I saved it as a new Adobe Captivate 4 file. Then I was able to open THAT file with Adobe Captivate 5.5, and save a new file again.
    For some reason, fonts didn't carry over. So I reset them in all my captions, and then recompiled successfully.

  • How to do a Khan Academy video within or uploaded to Adobe Captivate?

    Hi wondering if anyone has uploaded a Khan Academy type video into Adobe Captivate, or what was your process and what tools did you use?  This would be an eLearning module with content first then with a virtual learning blackboard video (Kahn Academy) then more content.  Thoughts?  Thanks for your time

    This is one way you could do it: PhotoPresenter Animated Slideshow Themes. The thumbnails can be as small as you'd like. This way none of the video files have to load before they play button is selected. Otherwise the page would take forever to load.
    How the button is created is described in this demo page: Opening Item in a New, Precisely Sized Window
    OR you could use a video jutebox like the one on this page: http://www.holyredeemernorthbend.org/HRWeb/Our_Videos.html.
    His tutorial on how to implement it is here: http://www.holyredeemernorthbend.org/HRWeb/jukebox.html.

                    isCaseChanged = true;
                    FlipOpen.Begin();
                else if(isCaseChanged==true)
                    isCaseChanged = false;
                    FlipClose.Begin();

  • Adobe Captivate CC - Device Compatibility

    Hello,
    We are currently working on a virtual tour for the National Flight Academy. You can view the virtual tour at this link...http://www.nationalflightacademy.com/virtualtour/
    We built the tour with Adobe Captivate CC and published with both HTML5 and SWF checked.
    We are noticing that the virtual tour doesn't work as well as it should on Mobile Devices i.e. Iphones, Androids...as well as the firefox browser.
    Are these issues on our end and can be fixed, or are they just known problems on said platforms?
    Are there other issues that others have came across as well, on other devices and platforms?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    Rick,
    You're right!
    I apologize, very busy here.
    Basically, when you are on your mobile device and go to the site and experience the virtual tour it opens it up in a new window and only shows the video. No interface. Once the video is finished you exit out of the video window that pops up and you are prompt to choose your path. Once you click which way you want to go, another video window pops up and the interface is gone again. You are not able to view the interface and click on the 360 Degree tour or the get more info button while the video is playing. You have to wait till the end of the video.
    However, when you wait till the video is over and click on either the 360 tour or the get info button, it will automatically refresh the tour and you have to start form the beginning.
    FireFox won't let me even play the video, on Mac or PC.
    It gives me an error.....
