Adobe Captivate Outputting/Rendering Slow, Sluggish, and Choppy Video when ScreenCasting

When I screencast my desktop and then output/render the video that Adobe Captivate recorded, the video is always so choppy, sluggish, and slow.
I set the frames per second to 80 and interval to 1, 5, and 10, and still choppy video.
My system specfications are as follows:
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit SP1
CPU: Intel Core i7 @ 3.40 GHz | Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
RAM: 16.0 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6600 Series
Is there something that I am doing wrong during/after I record?
Any help would be awesome!
Thank you!

Hey Anjaneai,
I mean slow as in my Cursor movements are not as smooth as I expected with this software.
I have chosen the Video Demo recording mode.
I did check the option to show "Actions in Real Time" from Recording and it only applies to Audio. I am speaking of video. I have tried comparing. I tried comparing with Software Demo, but it's impossible to compare, seeing as Adobe Captivate generates the mouse for you.
I thought that the higher the Frame Rates the smoother the experience.
Thank you!
Aaron

  • Slow FPS, graphics and choppy video when connected to a Mini-DVI cable to external monitor on Macbook Mid2007 4GB RAM

    Hi,
I have a Mid-2007 Macbook white. I have upgraded its memory to 4GB. Snow Leopard was working great, and I said to myself maybe it's time to upgrade to Lion.
After the upgrade all was well. However, a big problem occurs when I plug in to the Mini-DVI display port with the HDMI adapter, to connect to my Sony LCD HDTV. The whole graphics and video slow down, everything is choppy. Quicktime and VLC video playback is strobe and choppy looks like very low Frame Rate. Cannot watch anything, not HD nor low resolutions. The entire computer is slow when the cable is connected.
    Things I tried:
*VGA adapter seems to work fine - it's the digital display output that probably causes that.
*Running it through a new user.
This never happened on Snow Leopard. i'm considering to go back. However, I am wondering if there is a way to fix this minor problem.

    Update:
We solved the problem. Weird solution but now it seems to work. I plugged a VGA adpater and played with the screen rsolutions to try and watch a movie well on my LCD screen. I changed the screen resolutions but I couldn't revert back to the default settings. Pressing "Detect Displays" didn't do anything.
Here is the interesting part: When I placed back the DVI-HDMI adapter, suddenly everything worked fine!!! There was no choppy videos, no low fps, works prefect.
Something weird is going on here, but I'm happy I managed to get the DVI to HDMI to work because I was about to removie Lion and bring back Snow Leopard.

I'm editing video and want to see the broadcast results on the fly (ie monitor and tv side by side, same image onscreen). Is it possible to output to div monitor and s-video at the same time? Maybe thru a splitter cable. I'm concerned about resolution issues.

    Good day!
I have a problem. When i want to import music file from standart Gallery, i see the mistake: unable to decode and import the selected wav - mp3 file.
    I can't import mp3,wav files...
In Adobe Help site i have found this: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Captivate/4.0/Using/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d119e9582190-7fd8. html
But in my Adobe Captivate 4 directory i don't have file regsvr32 NSAudio.dll.
Question: where i can download this file?
    Thanks!

    Hi there
As I recall there were two different "fixes" for audio with Captivate 4. One involved replacing the dll and another had something to do with installation problems on Windows XP. So give the link below a try.

  • Why does my footage Slow down and loose audio when imported to after effects cs6?

Whenever I import video of any kind into after effects, it slows down and looses audio. It happens for every video. The weird thing is, it seems like it doesnt happen to anyone else on the internet. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME PLEASE!!!! I am about to cry. I cant do anything with this stupid software! If there is a solution please tell me. Its really annoying.
    extra info-
    On Mac
    mov. Files
    H.264 codec

Slows down when? When you preview? Do you know how to preview?
If you are pressing the space bar to preview the video then the behavior you are seeing is normal. AE will not playback in real time with autio unless you do a ram preview (look it up). You must learn to use the software.

  • Jerky and choppy video

    Good morning all!
I'm not sure this is a Final Cut problem, but that's all I use so I'm asking here.
Using FCS3 on a Mac Pro. When I preview a video, everything is fine. But, when I bring the video down to the timeline, it's jerky and choppy. Also, when I export to a Quicktime file the video is not smooth either.
It's only on my machine that this is happening. If I do this on another FCS2 machine, or video the Quicktime video on any other machine (Mac or Win) it's fine.
Seems to me it's something to do with a codec somewhere but I've not the slightest idea where to go looking. I've dumped all the FCS3 preferences and still no good.
All of this started when I upgraded from FCS2 to FCS3. I'm using a Mac Pro with 13GB of RAM and I've got gigatons of free space on all my drives. I'm seeing this problem with video shot on a Nikon D90 in AVI format as well as video shot on a Canon DSLR in their format (forget exact format).
Remember, in the preview, everything looks fine.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Seems to me it's something to do with a codec somewhere but I've not the slightest idea where to go looking.
open any of you files with QT and hit command + I. What does the QT inspector say?
(Alternatively in timeline select a clip and hit command + 9).
If it is a delivery format (like H.264, MPEG etc) then you need to convert
all your material to an editing format like ProRes
    Use [MpegStreamclip|http://www.squared5.com> to convert.

  • Premiere making choppy video, when splitting an AVI

Just purchased Premiere 13, using it to edit AVI's, once I cut the video to remove a segment it makes the remaining video very CHOPPY and unusable. Had another user edit the same video with Premiere 7 and it worked fine.
Please help, or REFUND me for this product as it is unusable for us.
    Thank you in Advance,
    Michael Winslow

This is not Adobe. Rather user to user forum.
If you purchased the product from Adobe direct, then you can request a return/refund from Adobe using the following Chat Orders link.
    Contact Customer Care
    Premiere Elements
    Membership, Account, Payment
    Payments, Invoices, Orders
    Chat Panel
If the link does not hold its set, then you will need to navigate to the Chat Panel using the above titles as guides.
If you purchased elsewhere, then you would need to deal with the seller's return/refund policy.
If you want to troubleshoot your Premiere Elements 13 issue here, we would be glad for the opportunity to be of assistance.
    1. On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 13 running?
    2. What kind of .avi file are you using - .avi is just a container/wrapper format represented by that .avi file extension. It can
wrapper a variety of video compression/audio compression?
    3. Before or after (when you see choppy video for remaining) is there an orange line over this choppy video that you are viewing or
    no colored line?
Please review and consider. Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thanks.

  • Lockups, sluggish and choppy

My name is Neal and although i'm a computer technician i've had the biggest problems of my life with this machine. I started out with these specs:
    Athlon XP1900+
    512MB Crucial 2700
    WD Seagate 80GB
    MSI KT4V-L
    MSI 128MB Ti4200 4x
    Turtle Beach Cruz
    430W Antec Truepower
    Win XP Pro
I was getting very sluggish 3D performance, often everything was very choppy. My first instinct was that this was a RAM fault, and so i borrowed a stick to test it out, same problem. I ran 3DMARK for hours to see how my Ti4200 was performing. I could easily get well over 11000 points, very happy too, but when it came to playing a game i was back to the choppy performance.
My next thought was IRQ's, they checked out OK but i removed my sound card from the system to see how that figured. Still the same problem. I then clean installed windows again, still no joy and so i pointed my finger at a dud motherboard.
I went out and got the Delta-ILSR and started all over, and guess what shock horror, i was still getting the same crappy problem! And because of all the problems people have with incompatible memory i decided to steer clear and buy some mushkins.
It was time to check out this VGA card. I temporarily bought a 9800 Pro and stuck it in, slight improvement, no as sluggish but still a little choppy. But to add even more insult to injury my PC now locks up if i play for more than 15 minutes. I think that could be the summer heat, but i opened up the case, blew a 30 inch fan over my board and it still locked up. X(
I've tried all the obvious things i could think of; drivers, BIOS, IRQ's, Memory conflicts, fastwrites, SMART.... but i still can't figure this out. :O
So after all that my current machine stands at:
    Athlon XP 2800+
    512 Mushkin 3200
    WD Seagate 80GB
    MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR
    ATI 128MB 9800 Pro
    Win XP Pro
    Antec 430W
Any help would be much appreciated. I've never come across a machine quite like this one. I figure it must be a foul setting somewhere, but  ?(  ?(  ?(
    Neal

OK at the moment i'm set up as follows:
    XP 2800+ 166FSB (Coolermaster silent copper heatsink/fan w/arctic silver 3)
    1x512MB PC3200 Mushkin level 2 (slot 1)
    40GB WD (7200RPM 8MB Cache)
    Panasonic DVD-Rom
    Sony Floppy Drive
    ATI 9800 Pro (Aperture 128MB)
MSI Delta-ILSR (AC97 Audio enabled, all other onboard devices are disabled)
Truepower 430W & three system cooling fans
    PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse
    IIyama Pro 415 @ 1024x768 100Hz
    Win XP Pro SP1
The problem has been the same throughout and i have replaced all my pieces of hardware at least once. All my games lag, stutter or whatever you want to call it. Some games are worse than others. Older games like Unreal Tournament tend to have no problems, i'm guessing this is because they need almost no 3D support, whereas newer games like Vice City, Nightfire, Jedi Knight 2 tend to be quite bad. UT2003 isn't too bad and is playable. Nightfire i would say is the worst and so i always use that game as my test game.
Theoretically i'm performing well. 16000+ points 3DMARK2001SE. PCMARK claims my CPU, memory and HDD work well. Memtest86 showed no errors after almost 3 hours of running the test.
Some videos i notice have lag as well and that can be resolved by disabling my soundcard. This however does not work as a solution in games. IRQ's all seperate, DMA modes are all correct. I installed my drivers according to the recommended nForcer's guide. Seems there is no issue there but i cannot be certain.
To me it looks like a bottleneck issue, the videocard is never getting the juice it needs, which i can hardly believe running under a True430 and a UPS for backup. But what i said before about games that don't need much 3D rendering work well, older games, seems to support my assumption.
The other possibilty is my memory. I've got 3 sticks of memory, no improvement between the sticks or between the slots i use in this mobo or my previous one (VIA chipset). So i can't realistically assume that.
See what you can make of that,
    Thanks for helping out,
    Neal

  • Adobe form output different in QA and PRD for Currency field

    Background:
I am using adobe form to display purchase order details using a output type.
I am displaying the field NETWR of the purchase order in the form.
For return orders this value is negative.
    Problem:
In production system the value is displayed as 0. where as in QA the negative value gets displayed.
The version of the form is same in both the system.
Also I have speficied the Currency/quantity fields in the interface.
I did a bit of debugging and found that in the generated function module of the form there is a difference.
    QA:
    PERFORM %OUTPUT USING 'NETWR' %WORKAREA4-NETWR 'CURR' 'P' 'HEADER-WAERS' HEADER-WAERS ' '.
    PRD:
    PERFORM %OUTPUT USING 'NETWR' %WORKAREA4-NETWR 'CURR' ' ' 'HEADER-WAERS' HEADER-WAERS ' '.
You can see that the VALUE P (ABAP type for curr) is passed in QA but not in PRD.
I am not able to understand what causes this code change.
Has anybody come across this problem?
Note: I am using copy of MEDRUCK for the interface.

Thank you for posting your solution like a good community member! I was having the same problem and your post helped. Many Thanks

  • Slow, blocky, and choppy iMovie '08 after project creation...

I'm having major problems with iMovie '08. I created a project, but now I can't get anything to work in the project - can't view without it being choppy, can no longer make changes, can't upload to Media Browser or any other output.
I can't get iMovie to open properly - can't open a new project or anything.
Anybody ever see anything like this? It's so bad, I don't even really know how to describe it. Is it possible to uninstall and re-load?
Any other ideas? Or should I just go crying to the Apple store?

    Two simple things to try:
    1) Reboot
    2) Make sure all software updates have been installed (/Software Update)
If that does not help, and if an Apple store is convenient to you, I would definitely take it there to get help. It would not hurt to call Apple and see if they can work it out over the phone. The phone support people should be able to make an appointment for you at the store if they cannot work it out.
The link to the phone numbers is at the bottom right of this page where it says "contact us".

  • Adobe flash 11 is slowing pc and having trouble getting on ie9

I had to uninstall it to get back to normal...on the adobe flash forum many others are having the same issue...is anyone else here getting the same trouble?

Hello to all those who are having issues with Adobe readers/ flashplayers on any Internet Explorer versions. Especially after an update or upgraded aversion.  After an up grade or update you need to go and enable it again this also aplies to Real Player as well.   First thing is to do is check services. Go to All Programs search box type in Services open it. Now go down list and find Adobe Acrobat settings should be: Startup Type manually and Adobe Flash Playe...  Startup Type.  Real Player is not listed in Services .
Now open up your Internet Explorer right click on tools and then select Internet options then click on Advanced tab top row. Go down list and put a check mark Enable third - part browser extension  clock ok. Then right click tools then select Manage add-on. Then select  Toolbars and Extension  Adobe PDF Link enable it undre status For Real Player enable it also. For early version of Internet Explorer 8 and below Adobe Flash player will be listed as well enable it. For some reason when they are updated or upgraded they will not enable them selves. You must do it manually . Or do a back restore  and never update it again. These direction have resolved this issue before in previous forum post. Please click on Kudos if this resolves your issue. Thank you frrw.
